More evidence that Dirk Koetter is no Lovie Smith
Lovie Smith thought the idea of joint training camp practices was pure evil. No point in practicing against new bodies, per Lovie.
It seems Dirk Koetter has different ideas.
Like Joe, the Custodian of Canton, eye-RAH! Kaufman of The Tampa Tribune, is bustling around the NFL Owners Meetings in Boca Raton this afternoon.
There, Kaufman caught some training camp buzz that he shared on Twitter.

First, it’s a good thing to break up camp and practice against fresh faces. Bill Belicheat does it all the time. So did Mike Smith with the Falcons, and Sean Payton is a big proponent.
Second, Joe’s happy for the many Bucs fans in the Orlando area. They’d get a shot to see their beloved Bucs again, who haven’t had training camp at Disney World since Chucky was fired.
This all makes sense, too, as both the Jags and Bucs are battling for the fans of Orlando. Win-win-win all around.

I’ve always thought that there is no reason why the Bucs couldn’t scrimmage against the Jags or the Phins every year.
Whichever team we’re not playing in the regular season is who we should scrimmage against.

Jags are a team on the rise along with the raiders. Hopefully the Bucs will be in that conversation as well this season.

Jacksonville seems very serious about improving. As is Miami. Hopefully we improve to. We will. IF..we fix the Defense and bench a few of last yrs secondary players.
