Glazer: Indoor Practice Facility Planned Within 12 Months

Yes, it was that time again for Joe to hang out with his favorite billionaire, Team Glazer, specifically Bucs co-chairman Joel Glazer.

And, yes, Joe did refer to Glazer as “Team Glazer” in the classy bowels of the swanky Boca Raton Resort & Club. Glazer liked the reference and enjoys the spirit of JoeBucsFan.com.

Joe knows fans are nuts over the Bucs finally getting an indoor practice facility. Joe doesn’t care, but so many fans insist the lack of one is hurting Tampa Bay’s performance on the field.

It was reported last year that an indoor facility is in the works, and Glazer narrowed the timeline a bit for Joe tonight.

Glazer said after this first wave of upgrades to the Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway, including stunning new HD video boards, the indoor practice facility will be in the next wave of improvements. Glazer said it would be in the 12-month timetable.

So figure the Buccaneers reaping the benefits, if there are any, in 2017.

Remember, America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, wants that facility.

Haven’t they been saying the same thing for years?

  2. Stanglassman Says:

No but last year they said they expected it to be ready for 2016 training camp. 1 year late.

  3. BucFan20 Says:

And at what point did he say it would be? Now go back and reread what he said . He said he hoped it would be. He NEVER said it would be!

  4. Stanglassman Says:

You’re right. The exact phasing was they hoped it would be ready for the start of training camp 2016 so they’re only a year late on what they ‘hoped’ not “expected”. I’m going to start using that with my clients. “I hope it to have it ready for you.”

Who cares??? Unless any of you commenting are actually players this is a stupid topic.

Lol – Yep it should do wonders, for your chargeback ratio.

  7. James Walker Says:

I would rather see the stadium upgrade first, then build the indoor facility.

  8. Stanglassman Says:

The irony of a guy who choose a screen name of JabooBuc thinking this is a stupid topic is pretty funny.

They will take their time and do it right I have no doubt.

And UCF has had one for years, while USF doesn’t even have a stadium, darn them, I’m from USF and were garbage as a school

  11. Buc since '74 Says:

Ummm Nuc – USF plays at Raymond James Stadium. I’m going to guess that RJS is a bit nicer than UCF’s stadium and indoor practice facility.

You know nothing about college football if you don’t understand the importance of an on campus stadium, we couldn’t even get a new BBall arena; instead we get a coat of paint and a switched a ballon for some tin roof, still the same building from 1979..
