Tampa 2 doesn’t work so well when the safety has no clue. I can’t see very well, but did the qb pump left? Safety definitely took off that way. This isn’t on the corner, it’s the safety.

That’s a weak spot in cover 2 almost impossible to cover that area…

I really think press man coverage is the way to go if you have to choose one or another. Regardless the receiver should get jammed at the line to throw off the routes. We haven’t done that in years. Now that they are enforcing the no contact after five yards yards it will be even that much more important to jam him and throw him off the route. Brees, Brady all the good one’s pick apart zone coverage. I’d like to see these guys being physical in the limited time they have to do so every play.

like said before me:
looks more like bad D-play than anything (or just perfect playcall for that D)
Neverless, if that ball is thrown by any other than Kafka its concerning: its not in stride at all.
Looks like a typical rainbow throw (ball makes looooong curve and gives defenders therefore time to react to it; eventually covering ground when being out of position; giving better chance at IT)
Looks like typical Napoleon Dynamite throw.

@louden – or the QB placed the ball there on purpose to protect the WR from being crushed by the incoming safety. Nice play IMO.

In the contrary,
I found that Joe is biased towards SEC players, specifically Gators. Whether that consciously or not, I don’t think so.
