Bad Weather Bucs Game Approaches

October 30th, 2026

Here comes another Bucs home game against a dome team with nasty weather expected.

The last time that happened the Bucs got punished by the slimy Saints last season under rainy skies, with New Orleans featuring a rookie quarterback scoring his second career win.

Various weather services are calling for a bit of a washout on Sunday, when the Bucs have a 1 o’clock kickoff versus Atlanta. Lightning also is in the forecast, which could deliver the second delayed game of this home season.

Will rain or a wet ball affect Baker Mayfield throwing with a protective glove? Joe would have to think so.

Still, there are no excuses. Just win against a bad team. And just win a freaking home game!

Great some home field advantage finally

  3. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I can’t believe how well this hurricane season is going for us. No clockwise rotations in the tropics, systems come off Africa only to be pulled back in. At this point a system would have to come from the Pacific to reach us.

Assuming the weather people are right. Which they always are

  5. Okiejim Says:

Bad field conditions tend to amplify injuries and of the turf is as bad as Roger’s said it is, running the ball gives the Falcons the edge to win. The Bucs defense most show up early and often to keep the game close.

Perfect excuse for the empty seats in the stadium.

  7. ModHairKen Says:

The time for excuses or explanations has passed.

They have 10 games left. They need to win 7 or more.

Don’t want to hear about injuries. Or weather. Or schedule. Or bad calls. Or good effort but just a little short.

You played yourself into a corner. You keep saying how much you love Bowles.

So prove it. Just get the job done.

Big game. Win and just one-half game back. Hopefully, OL and run defense give Bucs an edge on muddy field.

Actually tampa is better at running the ball.Better D for stopping the run .Edge Tampa .And they have the professor cheering them on

  11. Scott McKirahan Says:

Seems to me that the glove might actually help with gripping the ball.

shades of cleveland and the teddy hurst big end zone drizzop…?

    hopefully not

  17. McBay Says:

Atlanta is a bad team. They just beat the 49ers who must be worse. Now is the time to throw it 55 times, the bad Falcons will never expect it. And the outcome doesn’t matter, it’s all about enjoying the journey.

  18. Hodad Says:

Home field advantage? Put down the crack pipe. We’re 0-4 at home this season. We’re 0 for September, and October. Bucs don’t have a home field advantage no matter the situation, or weather.

  19. Steve V Says:

Right on mcbay, Its all about enjoying the ride while you can ,We’re all winners!

  20. McBay Says:

    Juicyfruit for everybody!!!

  21. GMC hater Says:

Perfect weather for another depressing home game at the House of Horrors!

  22. Winny Testaverde Says:

There’s Joe’s dreaded smooch of death quote… “just win against a bad team”. Atlanta is a quickly improving team who knocked off the previously undefeated 49ers after trailing 14-3. The JoeJinx ™️ is a real phenomenon.
