“Nacho” reacts when asked about Bucs OLB David Walker.

You should have been there.

There’s one word to describe Bucs defensive tackle Rakeem Nunez-Roches, the man his teammates affectionately refer to as “Nacho.”

Back with the Bucs after spending some time with the Giants (three seasons actually), Nacho, who won a ring with the Bucs as Vita Vea’s backup in 2020, can be described in one word: Personality.

Nacho has a big one. He’s always smiling, always joking. But when he’s on the field, it’s all ball.

Yesterday when Nacho was asked about his take on Bucs outside linebacker David Walker, Nacho could hardly contain himself as he raved about Walker.

“D. Walker is something serious,” Nacho said. “I feel like he has a 95 win percent ratio right now.

“Every time he’s gone [off], he’s in the back[field]. Literally. “I don’t care [first-team, second-team, third-team offense]. Whoever you put in front of him [will get owned].

“He’s definitely vicious.”

Well, Nacho really isn’t wrong. Walker (and others, like Chris Braswell) have lived in the Bucs’ backfield so much during training camp, Joe is beginning to wonder about the Bucs’ pass blocking.

It’s one thing if Rueben Bain or Calijah Kancey is blowing people up, or blowing past people. But when Braswell is getting in the backfield, it makes Joe scratch his head.

(To be fair, Braswell is mostly going up against the second-team offense.)

If Walker is half as good as what he shows in training camp practices, or if he’s half as good as Nacho believes he is, then the Bucs have an absolute jewel on the roster.

The hype is beginning to make Joe a little suspicious.
