Jacob Parrish Has “Soreness,” Gets Rain Work With Benjamin Morrison

August 3rd, 2026

A somewhat odd happening today at One Buc Palace.

So as Joe detailed, the Bucs moved this morning’s practice indoors because of heavy rain and a puddling field. However, after the team moved inside, about 30 minutes later cornerbacks Benjamin Morrison and Jacob Parrish went outside with what Joe is guessing was a Bucs training staff member.

And then they started taking short 15-yard runs at slightly more than half speed. Meanwhile, Parrish sat out practice today with what Todd Bowles called lower body “soreness.” Morrison has been limited in practice with a hamstring injury.

Strange? Joe can’t offer a medical opinion.

Lots of work for the cornerbacks depth today in the Glazer Shed.

Interesting. Joe as you know cb on this team a real problem. Morrison can’t get on the field, McColumn in my opinion should be a reserve. Parrish the only real cb on this team with no depth.Hopefully Parrish can stay healthy.

They just don’t make football players the way they use to. Twenty something year olds needing off because they’re sore? We are not a mentally, or physically tough team. No wonder they faded down the stretch. Yes, it’s Bowles fault. He a big softie too.

Players get hurt in all sports. It happens.

Good coaches find a way to win with the talent on hand.

Unfortunately we don’t have a HC or DC capable of such things.

Wins are the only stat that matters.

Football players used to play without any sense for their health during the offseason or regular season. They used to take smelling salts for concussions so they could go right back into games. They used to be slower, less strong, out of shape in training camp and not paid enough to make a living. They used to be able to dive at full speed at each others heads and knees to injure one another. They used to be forced to deal with debilitating injuries that made life unbearable long after they left the game.

Yeah, they had to be tough just to survive and entertain sad, miserable fans like you.

There will be CB’s in teams’ scraps to pick through over the next few weeks. Hopefully there’s a decent one to claim off waivers.

You guys ever watch these guys warm up on their own before practice? They stretch like fifth graders. They should be led by drill sergeants to make sure they stretch and warm up like professional athletes.

I went to practice yesterday (Sunday), and it was the same. 21 & 25 ran outside while everyone else was inside.
