Benjamin Morrison In Full Pads, Return Expected Next Week

August 12th, 2026

On the field today in New Jersey.

Bucs cornerback Benjamin Morrison is just about off the shelf.

He was in full pads today but did not get into team work against the Jets during the team’s joint practice in New Jersey. Visually, Morrison looks close to making his practice debut in 2026 training camp after a mysterious hamstring injury in the offseason.

“Soon,” Morrison told Joe after practice regarding his availability.

Joe was told by someone with knowledge of the situation Morrison should be rolling in practice next week. After the Bucs’ preseason game against the Jets on Friday. They’ll be back practicing on Monday morning.

Thank Goodness. Our depth is real thin without him.

    Any intel on bored Mccollum?

Joe: “ after a mysterious hamstring injury in the offseason.“. why this is mysterious? He’s just one of a number of guys with hamstrings. He’s losing ground to Parrish for starting CB so he’s likely wanting to practice. So why mysterious – have you heard rumors?

Mysterious because he’s three weeks past the typical recovery time for a grade two hammy injury. Grade 3 requires surgery, but he didn’t get that or he’d be on IR. So what’s taking so friggin’ long to get on the field?

I’ll be absolutely shocked if he makes it to week 1 without getting hurt again.

Injury prone and horrible waste of a pick.

  7. JimBobBuc Says:

Good catch Marty, thanks. I wonder if it’s Morrison or the team that’s delaying his return.

Ben “watching from the sidelines” Morrison.

Pulling for this young man but you gotta get on the field.

    You know what

    I’m rooting for Benjamin Morrison

If #21 can progress in year 2 and prove to be worthy of his 2nd round pick then we should be a good team.

I just didn’t like him last year in that game @ Panthers. Seems like he was getting targeted, Hargraves vibes.

But this dude has the tools to be the best corner on this roster. I hope this guy pans out and even shows flashes on field come Friday against the Jets

    Let’s go 21

Zyon is a decent corner, but he can’t guard #1 option receivers like Chase, Puka, JSN, Amon – Ra etc.

Parrish has been solid since Day One, let’s see what he can do on the outside

Morrison has the tools to be just as good if not better than McCollum one day

    BUST!
