Baker Mayfield Ranked No. 77 In NFL Network Top-100
July 7th, 2026How many voted and when is unclear, but some results of the annual NFL Network Top-100 player survey are in. Today, the league unveiled Baker Mayfield at No. 77. He sat at No. 50 overall last season.
The feature launched in 2011 and several Bucs quarterbacks have found their way to the honor. Josh Freeman was on the inaugural list at No. 86.
Linebacker Eric Kendricks, slimy Saints QB Tyler Shough and Texans beastly edge rusher Will Anderson were all featured commenting about Mayfield, along with Texans cornerback Derek Stingley. Anderson raved about Mayfield’s absolute will to win.
Last year, Mayfield’s No. 50 ranking was good enough for ninth-best among QBs. Where will No. 77 rank this year? And will the Bucs extend Mayfield’s contract to be in line with where he is ranked?

Pay Baker.

Rod Munch thinks Baker is the 77th best player on the Bucs 2026 squad. Right behind the backup long snapper.

This man is a franchise quarterback everybody around the league knows it the only people that don’t seem to be the knucklehead on this website that always throw around hate. We are lucky to have this guy. Let’s get him resigned and get this year on. LFG.

Understandable…for now.
July 7th, 2026 at 8:51 pm
That’s about right for him.

Knuckleheads plural. Here they come.

PAY DAT MAN. The haterz gonna hate which is will never be anything new for Bake as he loves collecting receipts and using it as fuel for e Xtra motivation. Licht will get it worked out, I have no doubts about that, and once again #6 will finally get some decent protection and a successful run game this year so Baker is gonna be Baking this year and the Haterz will be nowhere to be found.

He’ll end up ranked 16th this year. If Hurts somehow doesn’t make it , which I doubt, he’ll be 15th.
July 7th, 2026 at 10:17 pm
Yeah pay him, but not more than 55 million.
I would love to know where these 2 sides are, not being close seems crazy to me but that could just be the word of his agent.

Faker Suckfield isn’t worth a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin getting it on.
This article is pure propaganda followed by over the top lemming speak from the Pom Pom squad.
I’ve come to expect nothing less. At least you boys are consistent. I’ll give you that.
Looking forward to watching Bowles prove you all wrong again in 2026.

Ya.
Mike Evans knows.

It makes absolutely NO SENSE to extend HIM LONGTERM at ‘top of the market’ level money. The Glazers have a newly renovated RayJay, or brand new stadium to PAY FOR. And, I heard they are also building a 100,000+ SEAT PALACE for Man U. And, once AGAIN… THEY ARE “PAYING HIM.” There is an OFFER currently ‘on the table’ that is ONLY awaiting HIS SIGNATURE. Where’s THE “DISCOUNT” all the Baker Bois were constantly (falsely) talking about!? I thought BAKER was willing to take this BIG DISCOUNT!? And, YOU PEOPLE continue demanding for THE BUCS to PAY “HIM” MORE, when you don’t have the first clue even, WHAT they have offered. It’s just SO RIDICULOUS, it’s PATHETIC. And, very hypocritical. So, looks like BAKER is just making you all look like complete FOOLS. You fell for it once AGAIN. It’s all just FANTASY.
July 8th, 2026 at 1:34 am
And I am 💯 CERTAIN, that it is more than a fair OFFER. Hold the line. He’ll sign-it! And, if he doesn’t… Then, so be it. They’ll just play-it out! No Biggie. It is what it is. And, that is the very LEAST of their worries, for THIS season.

Why do so many “fans” say pay him? He’s already getting paid. Hes making $40 mil this season which is more than hes worth considering how he played last year. And since he doesn’t want to sign his extention this leads me to believe the owners gave him a 2% raise.
Baker doesn’t want to sign because he doesn’t want the world to see him taking less than $50 mil a season. Its all ego. Its all about the perception of being a top QB because you’re being paid like one but without results. Think about it, if the deal on the table is $50+ mil a season, even for 2 years, why not sign? So it seems the offer is around the $40 mil mark.
How many team first players and players who really love game refuse to sign their extention because they can’t soak up 20% of the salary cap?

@Bee…PREACH!!!!
GO BUCS!!!!
July 8th, 2026 at 8:33 am
77 seems about right. Get a deal done before the season.
July 8th, 2026 at 9:02 am
Some people just cannot accept the reality that Baker is a top 15 qb even when ex GMs and current players say he is. We have no idea what was offered or for how long. Maybe Baker wants more years, or maybe more $. We don’t know.
Most teams are in the same boat, and the ones that aren’t either got lucky in the draft or they stink. So until we draft in the top 5, Baker is the guy
July 8th, 2026 at 4:34 pm
Old school. I’d say that is fair. In this NFL top 100 rankings, I expect 12 or 13 QBs to be listed ahead of him this year.
So, in that list he is a good QB in the NFL.
Not elite — Good.
July 8th, 2026 at 4:53 pm
If he’s a top 15 qb he’s at the bottom of that pile. He’s a franchise qb if you want your team to get some upper middling qb play and never make it to the Stupor Bowl. He has never been consistently very good his entire career and Mayfield finally earned his money in 2024 but should’ve paid some back in 2025. Pay this guy more than he’s worth? Get out of here with that. Go shake your pom poms somewhere else if you thinks he’s worth more than he’s already being paid. Cash strap the Bucs for a middling who’s going to be injured every year after this.

Since when are salaries based on some opinion countdown piece? Do better…not sure who wrote that line…intern? If it was one of the joe’s…that is embarrassing.
