Bucs Draft 2026, Rounds 2 & 3

April 24th, 2026

COMMENT all draft long below.

So the Bucs got their man last night in the Miami Mauler, defensive lineman Rueben Bain. And just like some 30 years ago when another Hurricane legend unexpectedly dropped into the Bucs’ lap, so too did Bain, for different reasons, obviously.

Tonight, Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht could come away with a haul with all the good players still on the board, if he feels aggressive and somehow perloins an extra second-round pick without giving up a third-round pick.

No wonder Licht wanted to trade back.

As always, Joe kindly requests, please do behave.

  1. HC Grover Says:

It does not matter….We are doomed. Licht and Bowzo doomsday.

  2. WillieG Says:

I want a linebacker, a fast tight end and a cornerback who doesn’t get bored.

  3. Lakeland Says:

    2. CB
    3. ILB

  4. Tye Says:

Hopefully he can be a stud for the new DC next year!

  5. Lakeland Says:

I hope we go CB in the 2nd round

Zyon McCollum is one of the soft loafers we need to replace

  6. FlBoy84 Says:

Doubt it will happen, but ideally would like to see Licht trade up a bit in order to make sure he comes away with either Rodriguez or Allen. While Trotter may still be there at 46, don’t feel he has the game and instincts as those two. Likely have to give up a 4th, but maybe Jason can get a 5th in return. Would set up your D leaders with Bain, Smith, & JRod/Allen for years to come.

  7. Bojim Says:

In no order LB or corner. Should be a day one starter.

  8. Woodman Says:

Just pick good players. Don’t know how anyone could pitch about our 1st round pick 👀 Grover0

  9. Oregon Buc Says:

Praying we can grab an extra 2nd round pick…Hopefully one in the 30s

  10. FlBoy84 Says:

See a CB in the 3rd like Abney, Igbinosun, Lee, Everett, Davis or Rivers added to compete as well.

  11. JimBobBuc Says:

Move up a little to get JRod by trading away sleepy McCollum and maybe get an extra pick.

  12. buc4evr Says:

McDonald in the second, it all starts up front. Bucs need a big DL before they draft an ILB or CB.

  13. HeartyDickerson Says:

    McPounder
    JRod
    Allen
    Hill
    Pregnon

If all gone, one of the CBs that drops

  14. Bucs Reality Check Says:

    BUCS DRAFT QB CARSON BECK

  15. Jim in LR Says:

I think and hope J Rod is there at 2-15

  16. jcscycles Says:

Funny-Evans Goes to 49ers, and they draft a reciever!

  17. Winny Testaverde Says:

CJ Allen would be an excellent.

  18. Guzzie55 Says:

    Keep drafting those offensive players:-)

  19. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Get a LB. If you need to move up a couple and give up a 4th or better yet your 5th, I’m ok with that.

  20. Mike S Says:

Evans leaves the Bucs because they drafted his replacement? Guess what…the 9ers just drafted his replacement 😂

  21. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Houston

  22. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Damn McDonald to Houston

  23. CapeBuc Says:

@Mike S you can’t write this stuff. Evans must be curling up inside. At Bucs he’s a legend. At niners he’s an old man.

  24. jcscycles Says:

    Bills did not take JRod

  25. George R Says:

Buffalo was a worry to take ILB another hurdle passed

  41. LUVMYBUCS Says:

CB Treydan Stukes to the Raiders

  48. Beeej Says:

ESPN is STILL not projecting ILBs

  49. buc4evr Says:

    ugh missed that Lakeland. lol.

  50. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Happy with Rodriguez, Hill or Allen. Get one of the three Jason. If you gotta give up a 5th to move up, please do!

  51. dbbcpa Says:

Banks was drafted late last night. He is not on the board. I think he went to the
    Vikings.

  52. Lakeland Says:

Most teams are not that high on ILB

  53. Buc1987 Says:

    Come on Allen!

  54. George R Says:

    Don’t mess this up Licht

  57. Stevek Says:

    We are getting close!

  58. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

This is working out perfectly. Still all 3 LBs on the board. Don’t want to jinx it, but I bet 2 of the 3 will be there.

    Christen Miller to New Orleans

  65. Call The Salt Truck Says:

Hill, JRod, or Allen, I think we will have our choice and we should take it. The CBs just aren’t that impressive, there’s a reason Terrell and McCoy are still on the board.

  66. Lakeland Says:

    I like Christen Miller

  67. Scott Says:

I know it’s a luxury pick but there’s a good guard Pregnon out there

  68. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

All 3 still on the board! I got a boner!

  69. Beeej Says:

    ESPN finally projected an ILB–Hill

    Jake Golday LB
    CJ Allen LB
    Gennings Dunker G
    Jalon Kilgore S

  71. buc4evr Says:

There goes Redriguez. Now the target for us should be Anthony Hill Jr.

  88. Lightningvinny1 Says:

    Damn Dolphins

  89. CH Grover Says:

Allen not falling to us. More hope in Hill or Louis, but probably CB

  90. HopeIn1Hand… Says:

  97. Gbobucsfan Says:

    Who det taking ??

  98. Kenton Smith Says:

There’s a reason Jason Licht is on the hot seat. And he oughta be. I reckon he’d be the losingest GM in football if it weren’t for Brady and Baker.

  99. Bucfan1988 Says:

    1 pick left!!!!

Come to Daddy ANTHONY HILL JR!!!

    LFG!!!!

  100. Gbobucsfan Says:

Please be CJ Allen !!!! LFG

  101. Buc1987 Says:

So who’s it going to be?

  102. Bucsfantim Says:

Didn’t Bowles say in the offseason that we needed corners? If the bucs trade down, that would be a surefire sign they want one with this many still on the board.

Personally, hoping very hard the ravens don’t take Hill Jr. here so we can get him

  103. Lightningvinny1 Says:

    Ok two good LBs left

  104. unbelievable Says:

    Dang, would have liked Rodriguez

  105. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Hopefully Jason can find a way to grab another 2nd or 3rd round pick.

  106. Capt.Tim Says:

Wow. Didn’t see Rodriquez or Allen dropping to us

  107. Jugheadfla2 Says:

I dunno this where Licht likes to choose id D3 college special

  108. Lakeland Says:

My choice is Anthony Hill Jr if an ILB

    Terrell if a CB
    Hunter if a DT

  109. David Says:

Just flipped over from the Lightning ⚡️ game… I can’t believe CJ Allen is still available. Would love to get him as ILB. There are also some really good CBs

  110. Bucfan1988 Says:

Capt Tim, Dolphins just took Rodriguez….

  111. buc4evr Says:

5minutes of commercials everytime beforeBucs pick. lol

  112. 813bucboi Says:

Hill jr or Allen….not seeing a OL worthy of 2nd round but JL might surprise you lol

    GO BUCS

  113. BucsFan81 Says:

Hoping we pick CJ Allen his comparison is Roquan Smith.

  114. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Zion Young falling big time…

  115. jcscycles Says:

Either Hill or Allen. Hill was rated ahead of JRod on Draftbuzz.

  116. Capt.Tim Says:

Getting either JRod or Allen is a huge win. I know JRod is gone- but one of the 2 is still there!

  117. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Baltimore picked Zion Young

  118. Call The Salt Truck Says:

Hill or Allen would both be winning picks here, IMO. PFF likes Allen, others like Hill. I think I like Hill’s projection more, but either would be good.

  119. Geno712 Says:

Wow Trottier. Ouch. Not sure I like it

  120. 65FBack Says:

    Allen or Hill.

  121. Geno712 Says:

Bucs have selected Mizzou LB Josiah Trotter, per sources.

  122. Kenton Smith Says:

Maybe we can get CJ Allen. With his tore meniscus from November maybe he can limp into training camp. At least he’s forced a few fumbles over 41 games. Oughta tar and feather this front office.

  123. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    We drafted Josiah Trotter!!!

  124. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Ravens take zion young

  125. Gbobucsfan Says:

    Ingram is an embarressment

  126. Buc1987 Says:

    Ok here we go…

  127. David Says:

    CJ Allen

    Fast
    excellent tackler
    Can cover

  128. Geno712 Says:

    Strengths
Physically strapped together with solid definition in his quads and arms
Fills downhill with violent intentions to create knockback and quickly shed
Sound in run fits and does a nice job leveraging space
Quick trigger; doesn’t slow into contact as a tackler
Strong base to hold his ground while contorting/dipping frame to escape blocking hands
Toughness instilled in him at a young age by his linebacker father
Fantastic blitzing value because of his downhill speed and urgency
Competes with contagious energy and advanced communication skills for his age

    Steady tackle production

  129. Lakeland Says:

They met with Josiah Trotter twice last week

  130. Scott Says:

Trotter? Wtf I thought he couldn’t cover

  131. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

    Hill or Allen please

  132. Lakeland Says:

    I love this pick

  133. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Lol, Jason’s being Jason. Hopefully this works out

  134. Lightningvinny1 Says:

    Pick in quick

  135. Guzzie55 Says:

The slowest ILB available Licht screwed the pooch

  136. Rod Munch Says:

    Meh.

  137. Lakeland Says:

    I love the pick

I called this pick, but l thought he was going in the 3rd

  138. Buc1987 Says:

    Dayum that sucks.

  139. Rod Munch Says:

We get an inside LB that can’t cover? Why?

  140. Jugheadfla2 Says:

Dude has some dang good genetics for sure

  141. David Says:

I’m good with it. Preferred Allen , but both about the same size, fast, good tackling linebackers.

    LFG

  142. Lakeland Says:

This is a Todd Bowles pick

  143. Ufc Says:

Tf are we doing. ????? Jason youve got cj allen and hill Jr whyyyy? Just why.

  144. CH Grover Says:

LVD replacement pick. Great comp great pick

  145. DS Says:

    Hated the pick

  146. Call The Salt Truck Says:

We got an LB, and he projected as a 3-4 guy. His coverage was questionable though. Gotta trust that our scouts know what they were doing.

  147. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Nice!

  148. Scott Says:

They can’t help but draft nfl players kids

  149. RodMunchislowIQ Says:

Bowles is good Friends with Trotter’s Dad

  150. Bucfan1988 Says:

What in the freaking hell Licht?????

Trotter was available in 3rd round…

    You kidding me??????

  151. Guzzie55 Says:

My mistake he ran a 4.49 ok I like this pick

  152. 813bucboi Says:

Thought this kid would’ve been there in the 3rd round but ok JL… I trust you lol

    GO BUCS

  153. unbelievable Says:

    Trotter it is

  154. Lakeland Says:

Trotter is a beast of a linebacker
He fit the mold of what we’re doing

  155. Curse of Gruden Says:

    A punter wasn’t available?

  156. Rod Munch Says:

Trotter isn’t slow – he’s not KJ Britt, I’m sure he’ll be a good run defender, but he can’t cover and gee wiz, what has been the non-stop issue at ILB?

    I don’t get this one.

  157. buc4evr Says:

OMG Jeremiah’s son. lol. And Ronde announced it. 😆

  158. Winny Testaverde Says:

Licht reverts to his 2nd round excellence…

  159. Bucsfantim Says:

Dislike the pick. I think Anthony Hill was a much better player

  160. Big_Buc$ Says:

WTH CJ Allen sitting right there to take. He’s a day 1 starter and would wear the green dot

  161. Lakeland Says:

He was my pick all along.

But l had him in the 3rd

  162. Bucfan1988 Says:

You got Allen & Hill Jr there….

COULD HAVE TRADED DOWWWWWN and picked up draft capital and still selected him……

    JESUS MAN!!!

  163. Gbobucsfan Says:

    Really wanted Allen…..dang

  164. Jugheadfla2 Says:

Would the Axeman consider coming to help coach this defense?

  165. SB~LV 🏈 Says:

Everything but sideline to sideline top end and pass coverage

Trotter is a beast of a linebacker
He fit the mold of what we’re doing

    ———

The constant non-stop complaints with White, Britt and Dennis is that they can’t cover… so they got a new LB that can’t cover anyone, and isn’t particularly fast (again, not slow, but certainly isn’t fast).

This is very very questionable, seems like they’re just spinning their wheels with another player who everyone is going to be whining about next year when Bowles asks him to do stuff he’s not good at.

  167. Lakeland Says:

His daddy played for the Bucs

  168. buc4evr Says:

I don’t get it. The guy is going to required to play in coverage a lot in Bowles defense.

  169. Buc1987 Says:

    Ah well.

  170. Ufc Says:

Just stupidity honestly. I truly dont understand why we are taking a 3rd guy on the second.

  171. MRWright88 Says:

Trotter, a transfer from West Virginia, was the leading tackler in his lone season with Missouri. He can get skinny in gaps and shoot to penetrate the backfield. He has good lateral quickness with the ability to shuffle to flow with the play and trigger downhill to make a form tackle. He has range to play sideline to sideline and does a very good job filling gaps. Trotter has quickness to avoid and slip blocks, too. And he is extremely instinctive, making a lot of plays in the backfield. Trotter is very good at diagnosing and reading play development, and he is a very sure tackler with play strength to get the ball carrier to the ground — even when he can’t square up and make a clean hit. He plays with strong violent hands. In the passing game, Trotter keeps everything in front of him in zone coverage to diagnose, and he has the speed to cover running backs in man out of the backfield. At times he can get caught cheating, triggering to come down hill and losing leverage on eligible receivers.
    — Scouts Inc.

  172. Capt.Tim Says:

The way Bowles demands his LBers drop in Coverage, Trotter will have a hard time staying on the field.
    Lichts 2nd round Curse Continues . . .

  173. CapeBuc Says:

Looking at the RBs in this division, I’m okay with it.

  174. LFGBucs Says:

Trotter should be a good pick. He is a high motor guy, not great in coverage, but there is still time to add another LB in round 4. Up next needs to be O-line or receiver.

  175. Rod Munch Says:

    Big_Buc$ Says:

WTH CJ Allen sitting right there to take. He’s a day 1 starter and would wear the green dot

    ———

    Yeah, agreed.

  176. Call The Salt Truck Says:

With 4.49 speed, he SHOULD be able to cover, and that may be the reason for the pick, they think they can teach him. Closing speed is fast for an LB. His tape is fun, but I can’t lie, coverage issues scare me.

  177. 813bucboi Says:

    Agree with @lakeland lol

Smells like a Bowles pick lol…he’ll be gifted a starting LB spot

We may not pick OL until the 6th round lol

BAKER has to work with what he has lol

    GO BUCS

  178. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

It’s a great pick. Each fan had a preference, so that’s why people are complaining. But upon review later you’ll all know it’s a good pick.

  179. Litaljohn Says:

Why we already have a linebacker that can’t cover, are we just trying to stay consistent so in case anybody gets hurt anzalone knows he’s still on his own?

  180. Kenton Smith Says:

Trotter had ACL tear in 2023. Another knee surgery in 2025. Decent run stopper but should fit right in with the worst linebacker pass coverage in the NFL. Absolutely fireable offense- both picks.

  181. HopeIn1Hand… Says:

Not that linebacker you buffoons. Effin’ Bowles.

  182. jcscycles Says:

He plays MIKE LB. And that is what they need
This is a good pick. Nothing to do with who played with his father. Don’t be surprised if they pick another LB toni

  183. HeartyDickerson Says:

He has some pretty legit highlights. Definitely a “bully” that fits our new mean guy approach. But feel we could’ve landed him later. Licht ALWAYS reaches in the 2nd round.

  184. James west Says:

Not impressed with their second pick, when the man from Georgia was sitting there waiting on em, plus could’ve moved up a couple pics and got Rodriguez seems to me y’all screwed the pooch on this one

  185. MEgoat13 Says:

Surprised it wasn’t a bigger name but the draft is such a crap shoot anyways who knows what’s going to happen

  186. Ufc Says:

You literally just cant be this fing stupid and be a gm can you? Of all the players available and we blow it again. Are we allergic to taking good players in the second rd. Its like Jason just loses his fing mind every year. What in the name of god can you possibly be thinking

  187. Ballwasher61 Says:

Yeah a bit of a reach, don’t know bout this one. What the hell?

  188. Jerry Says:

That’s your typical Licht 2nd round reach.

  189. Winny Testaverde Says:

May have hand delivered CJ Allen to a division rival. Unless an obvious pick falls in Licht’s lap…he gets cute and clever.

  190. David Says:

Why do people think this kid will be available in the third round? Everything shows him as one of the top four ILB‘s. He’s pretty much equal to CJ Allen and Golday

And who are the people saying he’s not fast? He’s incredibly fast. That’s literally his game.

The only thing I’ve seen is He needs to work on coverage.
But… Who cares? Unless you get an absolute stud in the first round every single player from here on out has flaws.

  191. Ballwasher61 Says:

Listen I don’t want to spend a 2nd on the CB with a knee issue but jeez???

  192. Ufc Says:

So the middle of the field os gonna be an issue again lovely.

  193. BillyBucco Says:

Anzalone already said he thought he was gonna cover.
Lets just hope he is as good as his dad.
We needed LB and we got one.
    CB next

  194. Badbucs Says:

There it is – JL genius pick proving he’s right and everybody else is wrong. Big risk. He can’t cover. He must want Bowles to fail.

  195. Rod Munch Says:

    Call The Salt Truck Says:
    April 24th, 2026 at 8:07 pm
With 4.49 speed, he SHOULD be able to cover,

    ———–

You got some bad info, he didn’t run a 40 anywhere, at the combine or on his pro-day because pretty much every thinks he wouldn’t test well. Likely more like a mid to high 4.6 guy, which is fine, not too slow but not fast in 2026.

And he can’t cover, couldn’t do it in college.

One thing you can say is that he’s young, and can learn, but man, CJ Allen was there, he could start – Hill was there, much better overall player. Louis is there, the best coverage LB in college.

And they get a run stuffer… the same type of player they keep complaining about not being able to cover.

  196. Capt ahab Says:

Trotter, really? 4th or 5th round talent at best. CJ Allen, Golday, Hill all there and Trotter? Licht lucked out that Baine fell, he seems hell bend to f$&# up the rest of the draft.
I’m sorry Trotter was maybe the 7th or 8th best Linebacker in this class. Licht has been pretty good with drafts, this pick was a huge reach and a terrible pick. I personally would have taken Lee Hunter.

  197. buc4evr Says:

Bucs must believe CJ Allen never recovered from his knee injury last year. If that is the case, glad they passed. Bucs don’t need any more injury prone players. We have enough of them already. lol.

  198. unbelievable Says:

Maybe they can teach him how to cover 🤣🤣

  199. Bucfan1988 Says:

    Jason Licht, I gotta apologize….

I did not have enough knowledge on Josiah Trotter….

    Dayummmmm 4.49 40 time / 27 reps on bench / 38.5” vertical…..

SEC 1st team defense last year I think….
    Incredible ILB bloodlines as well……

    I take it back….

I’m feeling MUCH better on this pic….

  200. Ugo Says:

Trotter is a run game thumper and will likely be asked to blitz a bunch, which he is well suited for. I’m a bit puzzled by the pick but somewhat intrigued. My guess is that coverage duties are going to fall to Anzalone for the most part with Trotter used to creat mismatches and exploit gaps

  201. jcscycles Says:

So now it’s back to conspiracy theories. Other people aren’t picking Allen or Hill either.

  202. Capt ahab Says:

Trotter is a terrible pick, TERRIBLE! Shame on Licht.

  203. Bucfan1988 Says:

Rod, it says Trotter ran 4.49 2nd 40 time at the NFL combine????

  204. CapeBuc Says:

Just look at CJ Allen and Josiah Trotter. Look at them. Bowles said he wants size. Why on earth would he go with Allen. Trotter’s traits much more likely to transfer to the next level. Solid pick.

  205. Rod Munch Says:

Stop believing AI. Trotter did not run a 4.49, that is fake news.

He didn’t run at all, if he did run he was expected to be a mid 4.6 type player.

  206. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Don’t get me wrong I Like Trotter – just not in coverage

  207. Call The Salt Truck Says:

Rod- WTF are you talking about, he ran a 4.49 at the combine.

Rod, it says Trotter ran 4.49 2nd 40 time at the NFL combine????

    ——–

Go to the NFL combine page – the only workout he did was bench press, where he did 27 reps. He skipped everything else.

  209. jcscycles Says:

In Allen’s case he hasn’t recovered from the knee injury. Good thing we passed.

  210. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Hmm, maybe we’ve found a real MIKE. Who knows?

    Go Bucs!

  211. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Damn, D’Angelo Ponds to the Jets

  212. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Rod is right

  213. jcscycles Says:

Trotter has been timed at 4.49 and 4.61 at separate pro days. He’s legit

  214. Simeon4HOF Says:

Was eating wings, why did we take Trotter over Hill Jr. Dont like the injury concerns

  215. Simeon4HOF Says:

Is Jason like trying to gather a streak of f@@@@@@ up in the 2nd

  216. Simeon4HOF Says:

Pedigree i suppose lol. Time will tell

  217. Badbucs Says:

Screw all the research and stats. Just pick the son of one of Bowles buddies. The egos of those two is astonishing. This is why we can’t have nice things. Losing from outsmarting ourself. Just can’t do anything the easy way.

  218. Simeon4HOF Says:

This Pick seems like a classic JL slipping or overthinking whatever in Rd 2. I mean is it really necessary to just do something because noone expects it sheesh. This dude better pan out and so should Morrison. Or we need a nother GM to do RD 2 from here on out, bcuz JL sucks picking in the 2nd as is. Wtf

Trotter has been timed at 4.49 and 4.61 at separate pro days. He’s legit
    ———

For the love of God, can people stop quoting stupid Google AI and its bogus results. Just go look up the info yourself already. He didn’t run at the combine or at his pro-day, there are NO results for this speed.

  220. Call The Salt Truck Says:

Who do people want for the 3rd round?

  221. D-Rok Says:

As good as the Bain pick was, I don’t get THIS pick. Of ALL the LB’s on the board, this guy? Kinda pissed.

“Coverage is the concern, with spotty zone awareness/spacing and the risk of being mismatched in man. ”

So who is our cover LB? Maybe later in the draft or an UDFA U-haul driver plucked out of his duldrum job in the late June heat?

As good as the Bain pick was (A+!) this pick, to me, is like a D- given all the talent on the board at the time. What the heck?

    I was optimistic. Was.

    Geez.

Who do people want for the 3rd round?

We want that pick to be sent back and get another LB who can cover.

  223. FortMyersDave Says:

Salt TrucK; run on TEs now, a couple have come off of the board so while Zac R uses 2 TE sets not sure if the Bucs will want the 5th or 6th best TE on the boars so I say go for a CB as Zyon and Morrison are liabilities.

  224. FortMyersDave Says:

D-Rok, normally I would agree with you but I remember the trolls piling on the Winfield pick as well, so not all Licht 2nd rounders end up in the trash heap, only 70%, so let’s see what Trotter can do before we start the negativity, give the dude a chance and then if he flames, by all means call for Licht to trade out of the 2nd round from now on.

  225. Bucfan1988 Says:

D-Rok, Alex Anzalone is our cover ILB…
He’s pretty respectable at it too…..

  226. Call The Salt Truck Says:

D-Rok- Eh, no one knows about these picks. The scouts like him, they get paid for it. We’ll see if he can overcome coverage issues. In the meantime, no reason to stress about it.

For me, hoping for Malik Muhammed to stay on the board long enough for us to draft him. Though if Pregnon is still there, might be the pick.

  227. D-Rok Says:

    @FortMyersDave,

OK bro – I will give this guy a chance. I’m just puzzled at this pick by JL – there were much better options available. But I’m not a GM, so I will try to be more patient. Thanks for the encouragement.

  228. Rob Says:

@D-Rok Appreciate you humbling yourself and seeing things from a fresh perspective

  229. Kenton Smith Says:

How you gonna time the kid when most of the time he’s recovering from surgeries.?

  230. BucsFan81 Says:

Licht loves throwing away second round picks he picked a kicker in the second one year. Let’s just hope this works out cause Licht and bozo Bowles job is on the line this season.
