BSPN Analytics: Bucs Have Best Chance To Draft Kenyon Sadiq

April 2nd, 2026

Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq

For the third year in a row, the Bucs offense will have a shiny new toy, if BSPN Analytics is accurate.

The four-letter launched its 2026 draft site this week. And based on all sorts of analytical mumbo jumbo and prospective teams’ needs, Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht will select Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq at pick No. 15.

Per the numberscrunchers at the mouse outfit, Sadiq is the 10th-best player in the draft. And if he is sitting on the board when the Bucs are on the clock, the analytics folks think that’s too good of a player for Licht to pass on.

The nerds believe the Bucs have a 20 percent chance of landing Sadiq. The Lions, Crows and Jets each have just under a 10 percent chance of drafting Sadiq. Joe suspects the Rams and Crows, picking right before the Bucs, would be the teams for Licht to worry about drafting Sadiq.

Speaking on the record this week at the NFL owners meetings in Arizona, Licht told Joe and a two other reporters that “100 percent” he has not ruled out selecting an offensive player.

In the past, Bucs coach Todd Bowles has stated that in the first round, you go for best available talent, and when you get to the second round, that’s when a team begins to draft for need.

If the Bucs do get Sadiq, that would give the Bucs offense a powerful collection of skill position players. They might need it in order to outscore their own defense.

  1. FlBoy84 Says:

Definitely a talent, but would still love to trade down & gather another pick or two if Licht can find a taker. Very possible he’s still sitting there in the early 20’s, at which point he’s a viable option, especially if we have two 2nds.

  2. MadMax Says:

Id still rather get that beasr G Ioane….but wouldnt be mad at the Sadiq pick. I just think its too high for a TE when we just resigned Otton. Another TE later please…unless he has elite blocking skills.

  3. Stpetematt Says:

He has very good blocking skills. He’s very strong/fast/athletic. Would certainly help our offense in the red zone especially.

  4. Senor Harry in Costa Rica Says:

I know we need D players in the worst way. But we also need a end zone target with ME leaving us. DR won’t be happy, but I would not cry over picking Sadig

  5. Guzzie55 Says:

Very deep draft for TEs, Sadiq is obviously TE1, but drafting ILB, G or OLB would upgrade our team and still grab a good TE2 later

  6. HeavyE Says:

Wow, can we draft Dante Moore next year….He looks like a Real QB, to have Him and Sadiq, next year would be Great! Draft Sadiq this year and Moore next year, Let’s Go Bucs!!!

  7. OLDSCHOOL1976 Says:

Just don’t see it. Production not that good, we just signed Otton. I highly doubt this will happen.

  8. buc4evr Says:

Hope the Bucs draft Faulk instead. This guy is big and fast and would be the perfect edge. Sadiq is good also, but Licht needs to draft for position this time around as the defense is such a total mess.

  9. HC Grover Says:

Wont be hard to top OJ

  10. Shake&Baker Says:

Buc4ever – Faulk had 2 sacks last year I believe. We need a sack master and this kid ain’t it. Hard pass on that guy.

  11. JimBobBuc Says:

No. Sadiq is a big WR, not a TE who can also block.

  12. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

That’s only because the top 14 teams won’t draft him, and neither should we considering Licht just extended Cade Otton.

  13. thepunch Says:

Gotta go D first 4 picks… trade back take ILB Jacob Rodriguez, pick up extra second rounder. In second round take DE Derrick Moore and CB Chris Johnson. 3rd round pick lets go get DT “big Citrus” Domonique Orange… 4 starters added to defense by year 2…

Rest of the draft use your resources and find offense.

    I have spoken.

  14. Beeej Says:

Looks like best edge that will be there at 15 is Messidor, have no idea where he is ranked

  15. Bee Says:

This would be such a Licht thing to do. They need the BPA on defense for the first 4 rounds unless a dynamic OL is available.

  16. 813bucboi Says:

    Kadyn Proctor-OG

    GO BUCS!!!!

  17. Rod Stewart Says:

Buc4ever – Faulk looks slow on film to me. Not sure what you saw that makes you think he’s fast.

  18. gbobucsfan Says:

Honest question, is there a future for Culp? He was a late round pick for a reason but seems to light up the field every time he gets a chance.

  19. Stpetematt Says:

You can’t trade back unless you find a partner that wants to. Ty Simpson or Sadiq might draw teams to try to move up to 15. However, there’s no guarantee. Without the ability to trade either down or up, there’s no guarantee Bucs *might* take Sadiq but it really depends on where he is on their board.

  20. Football 1 Says:

I like the idea of taking the TE if available. In light of the roster and needs on defense , trying to outscore the other teams at this point sounds the most logical. The Bucs can’t draft enough picks needed on defense to be competitive. I mean look at it. They need and edge guy, 2 LBs, 2 corners all of whom need to play and contribute right away. I mean seriously not going to happen and may cause them to reach for players. However the offense can be ramped up with an excellent TE and quality backups on the line. I mean scoring 40 points a game sure beats 3rd and 28. Face it the defense is now a project that is going to be a few years. Just ask ME I am sure that is what he saw.

  21. Ballwasher61 Says:

Stpetematt, agree. If he is there and no way to trade back and he’s the BPA you take him. Would suck that we can’t have what we need at that pick but I wouldn’t complain if he lives up to his hype. You can never have too many good players on either side of the ball. Do they have Mesidor ranked that high? No one knows or will know. What happens if Love falls to 15? I have a feeling the top 10 players will be drafted in the top 10 just don’t know what order yet.

  22. Mike Says:

The Bucs have already been burned by taking a TE in Round 1. I don’t see it happening.

  23. BucsFan81 Says:

Maybe we’re looking at this all wrong. Maybe we should just draft the best offensive players that we can. Since we all know Bowles defense can’t and won’t ever stop anyone. Then the main objective can be just out score the other team which is as much offense as you can put on the field.

  24. Lakeland Says:

You’re not going to outscore anyone with a depleted OLine
16.8 ppg during the last 7 games of the season
Against the NFL weakest defenses, that should’ve been a wakeup call
But then again, the Bucs have been sleeping more than Sleeping Beauty

3 starting offensive linemen with a bum knee
Another one with concussion concerns, and other medical issues
And you’re still trying to convert a OT into a Center

You can draft every offensive player in this draft, outside of offensive linemen
And l guarantee you, the offense will still stink
You build the trenches first, that’s where the game is won or lost
This team is weak offensively and defensively in the trenches

But the solution is …..l hope our Linemen are healthy
If we can stay healthy up front

Hopes and Ifs will never win you nothing in the NFL

  25. bakerfan Says:

How many effing TE’s does a team need. If you need a End Zone target sign Jauan Jennings, he would be cheaper than Evans and had way better #’s than Evans had last year.

  26. Watch Daddy Sling It Says:

I’m focusing on ioane and sadiq.

  27. bakerfan Says:

How many freaking TE’s does a team need. If you need a End Zone target sign Jauan Jennings, he would be cheaper than Evans and had way better #’s than Evans had last year.

  28. buc4evr Says:

ShakeandBake: Thats because Auburn played him mostly on the interior of the line last year. The guy is 276-288 pounds , 6-6. bigger than Bain or Bailey and is disruptive. Long arm reach and squats 700 pounds. runs a 4.67 forty. I think he has a lot of upside and would be better for the Bucs than a TE.

  29. Watch Daddy Sling It Says:

@bakerfan Jennings would be a great fit.

  30. Kenton Smith Says:

“One hundred percent he has not ruled out taking an offensive player”. That kind of thinking and I will bet his job security will be closer to 50% than 100% next year. If he passes on Rodriguez his job security should be closer to 0% than 50%. Amazing that the most decorated defensive player in the history of college football plays a position where our hall of famer and defensive team leader just retired from and we’re trying to outthink this. Bullwhips to the ready!

  31. Badbucs Says:

Culp is unable to impress Bowles with his blocking in the walk-through practices. Can’t get on the field.

  32. Smashsquatch Says:

This might be just what the Dr ordered for Joe’s separation anxiety from Evans departure.

  33. Pewter Power Says:

I could easily see Carolina Panthers taking him. Everybody in the NFC South is going to upgrade their roster so no matter how you slice the head coach is going to have to coach the talent available. I don’t care how many home runs Licht hits, if Bowles doesn’t coach better once again they’ll be struggling to win the division at the end of the season

  34. BucsfaninOregon Says:

We have Otten and Culp. Wow! Sadiq is better than those two put together. Too many of JLs #1 and #2 have been flops. No chance of a flop with Sadiq.

  35. BigBoiBuc Says:

Sadiq will not be an impact TE in the league for at least ( if at all) 3 years. Heard it here first. Keep this receipt. Quit being combine drooling idiots.

Our TE room is fine relative to the other needs of this team.
    CB
    CB
    iLB
    iLB
    edge
    IOL
    IOL
Not in this order, but that’s what we need.

    BINGO!!!!!!!

i dont know why this is so hard to understand lol….

    i can see it now…..

bowles actually does fix the defense and our defense returns to a respectable level only to be let down by the offense because we cant run the ball or have time to throw the ball because our IOL is made up of MJ, Haggard and Klein lol….

and then folks will blame bowles for relying on:
-3 starting offensive linemen with a bum knee
-Another one with concussion concerns, and other medical issues
-And you’re still trying to convert a OT into a Center

draft Kadyn Proctor or Olaivavega Ioane @15 if you cant find a trade down partner…then defense the rest of the way

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  37. JustVisiting Says:

    Sadiq: just do it.

  38. Lakeland Says:

I have more confidence in winning the Mega Millions
Than l have in our Offensive Line

    Sadiq or Delane
