Maxx Crosby Fantasy Ends

March 6th, 2026

Gone.

Maxx Crosby will become property of the Baltimore Ravens. The Friday night trade news is blowing up various NFL social and traditional media.

Baltimore is coughing up two first-round draft picks, including this year’s No. 14 pick. The Bucs pick at No. 15.

Joe is exhaling.

Crosby, who turns 29 in August, would have been a fun and welcome addition to the Tampa Bay roster. But he is coming off knee surgery and has 111 games on his body, and Crosby rarely comes off the field, so his career mileage is higher. Crosby for two first-round picks would have been a risky play for Tampa Bay.

The good news is the Bucs can easily upgrade their edge rusher position without Crosby. The bar was set extremely low after the Bucs’ struggles at edge rusher the past two years, and there are free agents who can help the Bucs without Tampa Bay coughing up valuable draft picks.

    2 firsts….no thanks

  2. Brooks Says:

    Told yaaal he wasn’t coming!!

  3. Jarrett Says:

Who cares about the upcoming Bucs season

    We don’t wanna win anyway

Even after the season is over,

    There will always be

    NEXT YEARS DRAFT!!!

THE BUCS DRAFT IS LIKE OUR SUPERBOWL ITS WHAT WE COVET THE MOST

WILL WE NEVER TRADE A PICK, EVER

DRAFT PICKS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN SUPERBOWLS

  4. Mac Says:

Price was definitely too steep but drafting an edge rusher with Toilet in charge is a wasted pick. The man can’t develop an edge rusher to safe his life. They need to sign a proven edge rusher or trade up for one of the Miami kids. We need to build the trenches and linebacker core desperately. It’s the only way we get back to being a contender which I still think is close to no chance with Bowles in charge. Hate being so negative but the man has proven he isn’t elite and will never get them to the promised land.

  5. Capt ahab Says:

Ravens were fleeced. Great move by the Raiders.

  6. Ufc Says:

    This teams garbage

  7. Ufc Says:

Whi u gonna draft Jason lol let me guess we will just miss out again on who we needed bc u got no balls

  8. Jarrett Says:

Do you guys get the sarcasm

It’s like even when we lose, we win

This GM doesn’t want to win
    This GM wants to DRAFT

    LOL

  9. Usfbucs Says:

Who else is available? I wouldn’t mind an approach of grabbing multiple guys at lower price points who might not be double digit sack guys but who are good for 8-10 sacks.

I also wonder why we don’t just go with three Vita Veas in the middle and then go with 4 actual athletic LBers instead of these small DL players who look like giraffes on ice when they drop into coverage.

  10. BigZ Says:

Finally. Now we can stop the talk about him coming to the bucs.

  11. Usfbucs Says:

Two firsts was too expensive for us

  12. Gus-Swayze Says:

    TAMPPAAAAA TREYYYYYY🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

  13. Ufc Says:

Who we drafting at fifteen better than crosby lol😂😂😂

  14. Ufc Says:

    Jason licht is a moron

  15. SeanBucsFan87 Says:

Awesome! Back to bargain bin pass rushers! Hopefully they at least let bowles go after or 7-10 record next year. We’ll settle for Hendrickson who will play 5 games next year. Glazers go cheap again. I thought they learned by now that big moves make a difference. Simeon rice? Super Bowl. Brady and gronk? Super bowl! Hassan Reddick? Nfc south streak ended. I hate how cheap this team is sometimes. They are so scared to make big moves.

  16. Regulator16 Says:

1st round picks are a crapshoot. To say 2 1st for a proven commodity in their prime isn’t worth is pure stupidity. Bucs brass are to fixated in picks and culture, and don’t have the balls to make a game changing move. Purgatory, here we come… AGAIN!

  17. Mhystc Says:

What fantasy? We all knew Jason Licht, wasn’t going to make a move either way. Yeah it’s a lot up. But either way, no one had hopes. Jason scared to make a move Licht. Wasn’t going to consider it anyways. He’ll draft the next JTS, Braswell. It’s what he does best.

  18. Derek Says:

Bucs ain’t going anywhere. Not worth watching

  19. cmurda Says:

Who cares anyway. Trey H is the move here. I think Licht is setting it up.

  20. DS Says:

Licht sleeps sleeps next to his draft picks lol I wouldn’t have did the deal just hope he doesn’t bargain shopping or trying to find the next shaq Barrett which doesn’t happen often

  21. Pelsbuc61 Says:

With the defense in shambles and a horrible HC and DC, Bucs couldn’t afford to part with 2 first round picks.

  22. Obvious Says:

The glazers are waiting to see if Todd can manage his way out of a wet paper bag with modest personnel upgrades on defense, his hand picked OC, special teams coordinator and hopefully better health.

There’s a pretty obvious spoiler alert regarding that.

Better to save the picks for the next HC.

  23. Adam Says:

    More Buccaneers masterbation

  24. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Ufc Says
“Who we drafting at fifteen better than crosby”

So, if all of you so-called fans are right, it would be this year’s 15th and potentially next year’s #1.

    Stop being an idiot.

  25. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

THANK YOU, JASON LICHT for not being a fool and wasting picks on this guy.

  26. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I don’t really care if we get Henderson, but I would prefer him over wasting two first rounders.

  27. Will Says:

Do you think Licht and Bowels read the items we post?

  28. BucsFan81 Says:

Ravens over paid. Glad we stayed away.

  29. Buc1987 Says:

    Brooks Says:

    “Told yaaal he wasn’t coming!!”

    Who are you?

  30. Tony Says:

We’re bringing back Shaq Simeon & JPP. We’re good

  31. buccintimeforchanges Says:

    JL wears wonder woman underoos

This regime is done like Iran’s…just a matter of time.

Todd and Jason are finished after this year

  32. Bucfan1988 Says:

    Awesome move by the Raiders…

There are some quality edge rushers in FA this year.
They can just sign a couple to replace Mad Maxx……

I like Bradley Chubb or Jaelen Phillips for the Bucs please!!!
Both would work solid opposite Yaya.
Then we see what we got in David Walker…..

1st round pick – if you can’t get Sonny Styles then take that big DT from Florida Gators and put him next to Vita…

2nd round go Anthony Hill (ILB from Clemson)

Then go BPA rest of the draft….

  33. Bucsfan951 Says:

Listen, a brisk breeze is a better pass rush than what the Bucs currently have. With that said, I would much rather overpay in free agency than overpay AND give up first round picks haha but for real, can Maxx drop in pass coverage, like Todd asks of his pass rushers?

Sorry if that didn’t make sense. Tonight, I remembered that Todd was still HC and drank a ton of whiskey 🤷🏻‍♂️

  34. Crazyhorse54 Says:

This is TB & JL’s prove it year They must make the team a serious SB contender or they are gone. Every move will be scrutinized. They absolutely cannot miss on a FA signing or draft pick. FA’scare a proven product, draft picks are not. There are a lot of key holes to fill and depth to support when starters go down. The word to the FO “We are watching. We are NOT falling for your marketing department hype any longer. Either you will or you will not.

  35. Defense Rules Says:

Out of curiosity asked AI which DT & DE/OLB free agents the Bucs have signed since Jason arrived in 2014. Interesting list (those who got at least 200 def snaps) …

    Nose Tackles & Defensive Tackles:

    o 2014-2017 (4 yrs): DT Clinton McDonald (6’2″ & 297 lbs) – 45 games – 13.5 sacks – 23 QB hits – 23 TFLs – 141 tackles

    o 2017 (1 yr): DT Swaggy Baker (6’2″ & 306 lbs) – 15 games – 0.5 sacks – 5 QB hits – 2 TFLs – 33 tackles

    o 2018-2019 (2 yrs): DT Beau Allen (6’3″ & 327 lbs) – 27 games – 0.5 sacks – 4 QB hits – 4 TFLs – 30 tackles

    o 2018-2022 (5 yrs): DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches (6’2″ & 305 lbs) – 68 games – 2 sacks – 8 QB hits – 9 TFLs – 81 tackles

    o 2019-2021 (3 yrs): DT Ndamukong Suh (6’4″ & 313 lbs) – 49 games – 14.5 sacks – 46 QB hits – 23 TFLs – 112 tackles

    o 2020-2021 (2 yrs): DT Steve McLendon (6’3″ & 310 lbs) – 21 games – 0.5 sacks – 5 QB hits – 3 TFLs – 28 tackles

    o 2023-2025 (3 yrs): DT Greg Gaines (6’1″ & 313 lbs) – 49 games – 4 sacks – 11 QB hits – 5 TFLs – 64 tackles

    Defensive Ends & Outside Linebackers:

    o 2014 (1 yr): DE Michael Johnson (6’7″ & 280 lbs) – 14 games – 4 sacks – 12 QB hits – 5 TFLs – 27 tackles

    o 2015 (1 yr): DE George Johnson (6’4″ & 265 lbs) – 11 games – 0 sacks – 2 QB hits – 1 TFLs – 23 tackles

    o 2018-2021 (4 yrs): DE Jason Pierre-Paul (6’5″ & 275 lbs) – 54 games – 34 sacks – 55 QB hits – 35 TFLs – 171 tackles

    o 2019-2024 (6 yrs): OLB Shaq Barrett (6’2″ & 250 lbs) – 71 games – 45 sacks – 90 QB hits – 48 TFLs – 250 tackles

    o 2025 (1 yr): OLB Haasan Reddick (6’1″ & 240 lbs) – 13 games – 2.5 sacks – 6 QB hits – 6 TFLs – 31 tackles

Since JL’s arrival in 2014, the Bucs have added 7 DT & 5 DE/OLB who were free agents (plus several others who played relatively little). Almost all seem to have been brought in on either a 1-year contract or a bargain multi-year contract.

Bucs seem to have done much better bringing in NT/DTs than DE/OLBs. And it’s easy to notice that our best years (2020-2021) were when we had some true ‘Beef’ in the trenches (Suh, RNR, McLendon and Vea of course). Bucs need to get back to that this year.

  36. Mike C Says:

If you ever need something toxic, just visit the comment section at Joe Bucs fan smh

  37. Bucs Guy Says:

Don’t know why you are exhaling Joe. Nobody had the Ravens picking DE at 14. Seems to me that’s exactly what the Raiders may do now — unless Styles somehow makes it out of the top 12 and then they draft him.

  38. Bucs Guy Says:

Everything is dependent upon what happens in FA. But assuming Styles was already drafted, along with the top 2 DEs, I would like the Bucs to trade back to the late teens or early 20s if possible, to get an extra 2nd or 3rd rd pick.

Get the highest rated DT on your board in the 1st. Then focus on DE and trade up to the late 1st/early 2nd. I still like TX A&M’s Hiwell if available because he appears more ready. Bucs do not have a good record of developing DE. That’s what scares me about Auburn’s Faulk and Clemson’s Parker. Miami’s 2nd DE is limited. I also would consider Illinois and Mizzou DEs in the 2nd round.

Follow up with TX Tech ILB Rodriguez in the 3rd. Then focus on G and TE.

  39. Bee Says:

The Bucs will need those future 1st round picks to get a QB. The 1st round picks the Bucs saved aren’t necessarily for Licht to waste after this season either. The owners won’t give up future assets while this GM and HC are here because this is their last season with the Bucs.

Prepare to be underwhelmed during FA.

  40. Fanofdabucs Says:

Wow..bunch of cry babies in this joint. The Ravens just got completely fleeced. 2 number ones and a HUGE contract from Crosby is insane. I’ll wager the Raiders make the Superbowl before the Ravens.

Give me Hendrickson, Oweh, Mafe without giving up any picks ALL DAY.

I wonder if 30 other teams fans have a bunch of whining cry babies like the Bucs.

  41. Gofortheface30 Says:

Gimme a w, gimmie an I, gimmie a g, gimmie a g. Yall can finish the rest. Good. He can go lose in the first round to Josh Allen in the playoffs, and I’m sure he will be Lamar Jackson’s best friend. They’ll be posting IG photos wearing ski masks in 80 degree heat while making dumb hand gestures soon

  42. Marine Buc Says:

    Thank goodness…

I like Crosby as a player but the Bucs are not just one good player away from winning a Super Bowl.

This defense is a mess and needs several players at just about every position.

I believe this was a solid move by Baltimore but I would be concerned by that off-season knee surgery and his age.

  43. Kgh4life Says:

Not surprised the Bucs didn’t trade for him. Now get Hendrickson.

  44. Oxycondomns Says:

smart trade partner raiders pick 1 spot ahead of bucs who need a de . oh and crosby what a bad scenario for ravens getting a player who hardly ever comes off the field as opposed to someone like reddick

  45. HeavyE Says:

It just shows, that there is no confidence in our little no good QB, Jason knows we will be picking in the top 10, next year for sure…. Great Move JL, for a change! We have to keep M1K3, pay M1K3, not the little leprechaun!!! Let’s Go Bucs!!!!!

    About your last sentence…

Some of them can’t seem to help it. 😉

Had Licht traded two 1st round picks for Crosby and he underperformed because Father Time began to catch up, or he got injured again, those same posters would have been calling out Licht, asking him to be fired for making that trade.

  47. DailyRich Says:

Baltimore is more desperate than we are. They’re wasting Lamar’s prime years, they just chucked their longtime coach, and need results NOW.

  48. Badbucs Says:

Good headline Joe. Always was exactly that – a fantasy. Good for the Bucs to not swallow that bait.
Crosby probably has a few good years left but the risk and the price were too high. Salary not helping us either. Good job JL. Now find us some FA we can use. You have a lot of work to do fast. Don’t wait until all the good ones are gone.

  49. MelvinJunior Says:

Just soooo STUPID. T-Krass pumping this up literally all day yesterday (and almost everyday). We need “A GUY.” It’s just soooo stupid. He doesn’t possess the ability to strategize, or to see any further out than the tip of his big fat nose. He just views and spews on a year-to-year/season-to-season basis. A delusional, pom-pom shaking lapdog. Most all of those guys. They should fire the whole bunch and get some new voices in there, who are totally independent, and not afraid to speak up and be REAL. T-Kriss is ALWAYS the very last one, until when it gets SO BAD and to the point where NO ONE can defend them anymore. I do like that Nick Wize guy, so far. I think HE is really good and mostly independent. Though, I don’t always agree with him.

  50. capebuc Says:

This is GREAT news for the Bucs—one less defense-needy team picking ahead of us.

  51. BucsFanSince1996 Says:

    @Badbucs,

I agree that Crosby probably has some good years left.

Had Licht signed him, and Crosby played like he’s in recent years, he’d be worth every penny paid to him as well as the draft picks.

But the risk is huge. If they signed him but Crosby misses most of the season with another injury, or Father Time begins to affect him, it could have a huge negative impact on the team, and Licht would take heat for it for taking a huge swing, and missing.

If he was a couple years younger and wasn’t coming off an injury, I’d make that trade

  52. FrontFour Says:

Glad this is finally over. So stupid the spend what the Ravens gave up.

  53. mg Says:

    Good job Raiders.

  54. Mveal2006 Says:

Sometimes a leader has to be praised for dodging a bullet for avoiding bad ideas that take root when things are going relatively well.

Last year w Hassan not so nuch

  55. Big Red Says:

“Easily upgrade the position” without Crosby is comical.

Look at some of our first round picks on pass rushers and tell me you wouldn’t trade a bundle of them for Crosby (or another elite or elite adjacent edge guy)

  56. lambchop Says:

For those who are short-sighted and challenged, any team not 1 piece away from a SB will not foolishly trade two 1st round rookies at rookie minimum and once again force themselves in cap hell while trying to plug multiple holes on the roster.

It’s not rocket science boys. Maxx isn’t going to cover, rush the passer, cover TEs, play Guard, and tote the rock behind Baker.

  57. Marky mark Says:

We still need a ginger to full that diversity check box. How about QB Cooper Rush off the Ravens roster who are now looking to save money.

  58. Crazyhorse54 Says:

Every move by TB & JL will be scrutinized as this is THEIR prove it year. The hiring of the OC is yet to prove outstanding. What they do with Trey Hendrickson will be interesting. Drafting an edge or DE will have little to no current impact. For that matter neither will an ILB. Experienced players are seriously needed. But, JL is in charge of roster building. You’re under a microscope.

  59. Oneilbuc Says:

Good move by the Ravens they have a real franchise quarterback so this was a good move for them. We don’t have a real franchise quarterback they’re are trying convince the fan base that our quarterback who’s on his 4th team and he’s 1-9 in prime time games is a franchise quarterback. Lol 🤣🤣 but some of these people actually bought into they’re nartives that he is our franchise quarterback by saying he’s mosey . Lol 🤣🤣 and his mosey don’t win championships but he’s a franchise quarterback because he’s mosey lol 🤣🤣.

  60. Marky mark Says:

Hey Heavy E and Onielbuc let’s go get an even shorter no good Quarterback Kylie Murray or trade For Sam Darnold on his Fifth team which is one team more than shorty on his fourth. We can do this! Get an even shorter S quarterback or one that has been on even more teams.
