Attacking The Weakest Link

Alabama ILB Jihaad Campbell.
For Joe, there is no doubt where the Bucs’ biggest roster hole is. (more…)

Alabama ILB Jihaad Campbell.
For Joe, there is no doubt where the Bucs’ biggest roster hole is. (more…)

Bucs QB coach Thad Lewis.
So which in-house offensive coordinator candidate do the Bucs want to replace Liam Coen, if any?
Well, at least one is garnering a lot of interest. (more…)

Props from Todd Bowles.
Joe knows every Bucs fan and their brother is still fixated on the Liam Coen saga and who the Bucs will choose to replace him. (more…)

Key to strong o-line.
One player Joe felt needed to pick things up for the 2024 season at times seemed overwhelmed in 2023. (more…)

Bucs LB Deion Jones.
About eight years ago, Deion Jones looked to be the next big thing at linebacker playing for the team that drafted him, the Dixie Chicks. (more…)

A guy who collects a check from the Buccaneers reached his personal hate tolerance, apparently, as the calls for Todd Bowles’ firing spread like a wildfire through Bucs fandom late this season. (more…)

MVP!
Another day, another Bucs Pro Bowler announced. (more…)

Disrespected.
Joe chuckled hearing former Jets and Jaguars pass rusher Jeff Lageman take a shot at the Bucs’ interior offensive line this week.
But he’s sort of not alone. (more…)

Dave Ragone with one of his former pupils.
Either the Bucs really want another coach from the Sean McVay tree or they’re pulling an Al Davis, trying to capture Rams intel the way the paranoid feds think Red China is using TikTok as a tool against innocent Americans. (more…)

Bucs GM Jason Licht.
So a Google search shows many media references to Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht being “furious” after Bucs offensive coordinator Liam Coen’s controversial departure from Tampa.
In fact, “furious” was used again yesterday to describe Licht, four days after Coen bolted for Jacksonville. (more…)

Yes, Jaguars head coach Liam Coen was talking Bucs yesterday. And no, Joe’s not referring to El Serpiente, the former Bucs offensive coordinator, speaking at his introductory news conference. (more…)

Underwhelmed.
The Bucs had a lot of disappointing play from many defenders this season. (more…)

Chances of a return?
On face value, it seems like an easy decision to make on Chris Godwin. (more…)

“Greeny, if you go to Jacksonville, you better learn to like Lynyrd Skynyrd. They’re like the GD Beatles in that town.”
Joe was always scared that ex-Bucs offensive coordinator and current Jags head coach Liam Coen would lift Bucs offensive line coach Kevin Carberry and bring him to Jacksonville.
But it appears another Team Glazer employee is his target. (more…)

So last night the Bucs pumped out news that they interviewed Nick Caley, a Rams tight ends coach to succeed Liam Coen. (more…)

Joe heard an insightful comment made by a departed Bucs coach.
No, not El Serpiente, Liam Coen, who did his first Jaguars news conference today as head coach. (more…)
There’s a football reason to smile today. Mike Evans was awarded more respect.
Evans will replace injured Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games, which is now a flag football and skills festival at Disney World in Orlando.
It’s Evans’ sixth Pro Bowl, thrid-most appearances in Bucs history.
Just don’t screw up an ankle, Mike.

Bucs general manager Jason Licht.
So the Bucs, unless their front office has a sadistic streak, will let Joe Tryon-Shoyinka walk in free agency and try to find someone more worthy of the 539 defensive snaps JTS enjoyed last season. (more…)
