Todd Bowles Answers Effort Question

December 28th, 2025

Joe saw a less than high-energy Bucs team through the first half today against the sorry, half-tanking Dolphins.

So Joe asked Todd Bowles what he saw.

“Coach, did the team come out today with the energy and effort you were expecting early in the game?” Joe asked.

“They came out with a ton of energy, a ton of effort, and a ton of mistakes,” Bowles replied.

Okay.

Joe was so troubled sitting in Hard Rock Stadium watching the Bucs’ first-half effort that Joe was moved to call a Bucs-fan friend at halftime to see if the same malaise was coming through the television screen. The friend agreed.

It’s almost like Bowles has lowered the bar for his team. They’re not the same club they were in September and October, and some of that his effort.

And yes, mental effort is part of effort. It’s called being locked in. Bowles talks about “MEs” (mental errors) being tracked every week.

What good is physical effort if its not accompanied by staying focused and all the caring that requires? Joe thinks the Bucs’ collective effort is a big reason the Bucs will have a new head coach soon.

Joe also asked Bowles whether the team leadership he praises during the week fails on game days.

“It’s not the leadership failing, it’s the execution — of certain times and doing certain things with certain guys,” Bowles replied. “The leadership has been great. The message has been great by the leaders. We just got to execute at critical times.”

  1. Nicholas Carlson Says:

They stink! Just not enough good players on defense. 0 game wreckers

  2. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    Bye bye Bowles

….everyone has tuned you out already

  3. Rod Munch Says:

Yeah Joe, on TV they looked completely lifeless, not like a team fighting to secure a playoff spot. That certainly came across on television.

  4. Stallworth Says:

We just need to play it better and coach it better.

  5. TampaBayBucFan Says:

Execution is the new buzz word……which means we failed at performing the play properly……sounds about right to me.

  6. QBKilla Says:

    It’s over coach

  7. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    What about LOAFING WINFIELD????

…..he hasn’t been locked in since Week 7!!!!!

  8. HC Grover Says:

    Please get rid of BOWZO

  9. adam from ny Says:

the team has forgotten how to win a football game…

the culture during the past handful of years has been completely wiped clean…

    in one fell swoop…!

team needs a full reboot or something…

and a good handful of guys need a boot up the arse

  10. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Glad to see Joe has finally woken up and realized the Bucs need a new coach.

  11. ElioT Says:

    The team is done.

There might be a few dudes who want it, but as a team, they’ve given up long ago.

Body language is terrible, most look like they just done care.

Winfield Jr. & Vita Vea are the main culprits on defense – they look completely checked out.

  12. Rob Says:

    As Jim Mora might say:
Effort?! EFFORT??!! Don’t talk about no effort!!!

  13. Rick Says:

I’m seeing a Bowel movement after next week…

  14. ElioT Says:

Winfield is quickly becoming public enemy #1

Talk about getting a bag and just disappearing.

Playing like a F*****g bum with ZERO leadership ability.

  15. HC Grover Says:

OUT…Get rid of this stinking BUM!

  16. adam from ny Says:

like how do you lose to so many teams that are clearly tanking for the draft…

    like what is that…?

teams trying to lose games are beating us by accident on a weekly basis…

what would sam kinison say about this…???

  17. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    Yeah,

Vita Vea hasn’t been a factor all season long…..teams used to avoid running anywhere near him……but not anymore!!!!!

Vea and Winfield has now both become nonfactors on the Defense

  18. Rod Munch Says:

It’s remarkable all the stupid takes in here. Today Smith gives up the huge long TD, and the dummy on TV falsely blames Dean, and the dopes here repeat it. Then you got the anti-Winfield hate because, again, people have no idea what they’re watching – they still think he missed the play vs the Falcons when he didn’t. They think he blew the coverage on a long TD on a crossing route vs the Pats, and again, they’re wrong, he was literally on the other side of the field. Every week someone blows a play, and people want to blame the only good players on the team – while defending bums and calling for backups like Chewbacca to start over Wirfs.

  19. Tye Says:

I still believe Klint Kubiak would be my top choice how he has maturated in his craft… PLUS, he has family ties to HC experience that he may draw from to help him acclimate faster at running a winning NFL team….

That said, Todd Monken is a very strong 2nd and growing on me… Monken has an idea of what he will have to change and fix organizationally having been with the Bucs before…

I would not hate Mike LeFleur… Could Joe Brady better develop Mayfeild… Maybe!

  20. Rickrose Says:

Pretty sad Miami came out with more energy and fire. For a team with nothing to play for, that speaks of good coaching.

  21. Watch Daddy Sling It Says:

Somewhere, there’s a t-shirt and hat printer gearing up to rush-job two sets of “NFC South Champions” gear.

  22. HC Grover Says:

If they keep this SKUNK coach I hopw they lose. He is AWFUL

  23. BPBucsfan Says:

Any bettors out there wanting some easy cash, the Bucs are 3.5 favorites next week against Panthers.

  24. HC Grover Says:

    JBF is lost…in space….He stinks

  25. Sly Pirate Says:

    Pats – Loss
    Bills – Loss
    Rams – Loss
    Cards – Win
    Saints – Loss
    Falcons – Loss
    Panthers – Loss
    Dolphins – Loss

Bowles is a one trick pony. Every OC knows how to beat him and he can’t adjust. He only has try harder and play better.

Bucs have already lost if he’s the HC.

  26. Aqualung Says:

Joe and his platform are in an excellent position to stress to the Glazers how there will be a full fledged fan revolt if Todd Bowles is not fired on Monday after the Bucs lose to the Panthers in Tampa. Dungy and Gruden were fired for less egregious collapses Dungy couldn’t beat the Eagles and Gruden lost 4 in a row. Bloweszo will have lost 8 of his last 9.

  27. HC Grover Says:

Hey Munch…They LOST…to the Fish….3rd string …Munch there is no hope here. Total complete restart time.

  28. Buckeyebuckchuck Says:

    Fire the Bowels! Er, Bowles

  29. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    @ Sly

It’s pretty hard to adjust when you have the worst offensive coordinator in the NFL and you have a QB throwing interceptions as well.

  30. BayouBullet Says:

Liam Coen and the Jacksonville Jaguars are 12-4..this team is getting exactly what they deserve…total sh*t show

  31. It's Corn Says:

Bad coaches blame “execution”. And focus on mistakes being the reason, rather than strategy and game plan.

Imagine what a coach like Mike Vrabel or Sean Payton would have done with this team’s talent, especially on offense. They’d score 60 points.

  32. Jehzsa Says:

Coach Bowles already crunched the numbers. How much he gets if he’s let go. For some time now, that’s all he cares about.

Kudos to most of the team for getting it done.

  33. Popmike66 Says:

As we all can see, something wrong at One Bucs Place. Is it Bowles, Mayfield or? The team just doesn’t have any energy and it’s bad play after bad play on and Mayfield has been committing to bad play a lot too lately

  34. SB~LV Says:

How did Jason Licht allow this to happen?
His azz is on the line too !

  35. Co-Z Coolman Says:

We will win next week, back into the playoffs, win one game in the wildcard, then get stomped on the road. Same script, different year. Bowles will stay. It’s a reoccurring nightmare

  36. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Will Bucs Fans ever stop whining and crying over Liam Coen?

……..move on with your lives already

  37. Pewter Power Says:

WOW Bowles should coach pee wee football. Parents with children diagnosed with ADHD will love him

  38. Toddler Bowles Says:

Bye, Bye everybody…. off to see the Wizard (Arians), maybe he can help me beat the Painters nrxt week.

  39. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    @ SB

I don’t think the Glazers will ever fire Jason Licht…….he has executed the Glazers penny pinching “cheapness” to perfection

  40. mg Says:

    Train wreck Tampa Bay

  41. Rod Munch Says:

Legit question… If it wasn’t for Coen, would anyone even know that Jacksonville is in Duval county?

Also, when Jacksonville literally takes up the entire county (and thus is the largest city in Florida), why does the county even have a name? How stupid, you got all the city garbage to deal with and county garbage, when they’re literally the same thing. Also why is their stupid bridge painted such an awful shade of blue? I’ve only ever been to Jacksonville once in my life, as a kid, and the place literally smelled like garbage, why is it even part of Florida?

  42. Bosch Says:

If Bowles is fired is there anyone on this site that thinks he would EVER get another NFL coaching job?
    ………

    No, I didn’t think so.

  43. NE Fan Says:

If any of you have followed Bakers and Bowles careers, it’s deja vu. This is how they role. Only difference Brady built Bowels a winning culture. Bowels just turned it back to his losing ways. Member, Brady’s ONLY losing season was Bowels first.

  44. Vern Says:

    Anthem said
“I don’t think the Glazers will ever fire Jason Licht…….he has executed the Glazers penny pinching “cheapness” to perfection.”

I think that honor goes to Mike Greenberg. He’s the genius behind the cap.

  45. NE Fan Says:

    Sorry, roll & remember, autofill

  46. Told You Says:

Media asked the wrong question. “Todd, what was you EFFORT this week in preparing?”

  47. Watch Daddy Sling It Says:

    1. @Rod : Jacksonville belongs in Georgia
    2. I don’t see how any GM FOUR coaching changes…

Maybe look into that McKay kid in LAR

  48. Mike S Says:

I heard the question and was pissed about the answer. But then it occured to me: If he said the effort is bad that would be indicting himself. If the team isn’t executing and isn’t giving effort, then what the heck IS Bowles doing right? Lack of effort tells me the team is unmotivated or doesn’t believe in the game plan. Both indict Bowles.

  49. Dr.V Says:

The Bucs seemed liked they were lethargic from the get go. As usual the defense was medicocre but this time beginning with the DL, where the fins effectively ran the ball. Terrible tackilng and execution, missed tackles were the norm, There were a few glimpse of a comptetitive BUCS when they made some adjustments and began to pressure Ewen in the second half. Baker is trying to compensate for the overall malaise of this team and that’s where the turnovers begin. This is not a playoff team and even if they do make it by winning the stinking panthers they will not make it passed the first round of the playoffs. Had high hopes beginning of the season but it’s just not going to happen this year. Hope the Glazers understand how frustated the fan base has become and mkes adjustments.

  50. Told You Says:

@Tye nailing it again, let’s spend energy on next head coach options. The Dumb @ss Glazers need help!

  51. Lakeland Says:

The gave the effort, they were energetic, full of energy

They just don’t have the talent
We need a GM that can bring talent to this team
    Along with competent coaches

The Glazers has decisions to make
I personally think Licht, Bowles, Mayfield will be back next season

  52. WillieG Says:

If the Glazers hire Gruden to replace Bowels, and Gruden hires an above average defensive coordinator, the Bucs will go to the NFC Championship game next season.

  53. srbbucsfan Says:

Early in his tenure as Head Coach, I was of the belief that Todd Bowles’ calm, almost elegant, demeanor at the podium was representative of the respect that he must command in the locker room. Silly me, I think the players probably tune out as the first words leave his mouth. His hyperbolic rhetoric has gotten old for me. And I am sure for the team too. It has become reductive, repetitive and irrelevant. Bowles Bucs record is 34-33. Winning the NFC South for the past three years has masked how “average” his performance has been.

  54. Knothead71 Says:

    This team has multiple problems.
    Coach Bowles is the first.
Hopefully the Glazers will address the coaching issue in the off season.
Then we can move on and fix the rest of the problems.
    Go Bucs! Beat Carolina!

  55. mark2001 Says:

Sounds about as bad as the situation in Green Bay right now. Amazing how both Bays have risen and fallen at about the same pace this year…. except there is a great deal more snow up here. LOL.

  56. Mike S Says:

@Rod Munch…Winfield is overrated and overpaid at a non-premium position. He’s not even in the ballpark of what Kevin Byard did this year (I watch both teams every week.) All I ever hear about is how good all these players in the Bucs secondary are. Winfield is a star. Tykee Smith is better than Winfield. Dean is a stud. Parish is awesome. Carlton Davis was great. Than how come COLLECTIVELY this secondary has SUCKED for YEARS???? Even the Super Bowl year…they were the beneficiary of an elite front 7. If these guys are all so good, how come the secondary is an embarrassment every damn week???

  57. Herbiebuc Says:

I blame baker for the past four games ! Has nothing to do with coaching baker is not a franchise qb ! It’s no excuse to lose 4 straight games. Yet the mass will blame coach Bowles when in reality baker gave the ball up at the most crucial time the past four games, and he has missed throws all season long. We will continue to be mediocre untill we land a franchise qb! Trade baker and some picks for Joe burrow

  58. M. Mosley Says:

Fire Todd bowels ASAP team looks really bad

  59. Told You Says:

Why is no one talking about poor Gene Deckerhoff’s heart after the last eight weeks? Todd could get charged with manslaughter!

  60. Told You Says:

@HerbieBuc, has nothing to do with coaching???? Just stop!!!!

  61. SB~LV Says:

This team quit is a copy of the last half of the season with Raheem Morris

  62. Mike S Says:

@Rod Munch…Winfield is overrated and overpaid at a non-premium position. He’s not even in the ballpark of what Kevin Byard did this year (I watch both teams every week.) 63. Inwoodjeremy Says:

I was one for airing it out this week to get a good idea of what Grizz and Mayfield could accomplish. It’s pretty obvious the tandem isn’t it Taking the play clock down basically to keep opponents offense from marching down the field. That’s ok but you got to put points on the scoreboard. 10 points for a team designed to score 30+ is complete failure. Defense is complete failure. Special Teams is complete failure. All this against teams mathematicaly eliminated makes my believe Todd planned on retiring at the bye along with Bruce. I think word got out and the team shut down.

  64. Told You Says:

@Lakeland, Licht and Baker will be but not Bowles. The seats in RJ will be empty. This is the ownership that fired Dungy.

  65. SB~LV Says:

Baker…. for whatever reasons has no one that is open on time and then he has to dance and scramble hoping for something to open up.
Baker is not the biggest problem

  66. Mike Johnson Says:

If Todd Bowles is allowed to stay next year? The stands might become a ghost town.

  67. David Says:

Should be really obvious now that Griz needs to be fired as OC.
Everyone to do with special teams should have been fired months ago.
AND MOSTLY Todd Bowles is done. I don’t care that they held the team to 20 points. His defense is close to less and almost every category the last 10 weeks.

The other question is Baker. Baker has proved himself, this is offensive scheme calling and the fact that there is no guard play. The guards are horrendous.

New HC, DC, OC, special teams coach.
Edge rusher, new ILB‘s and another guard. All easily addressable in the off-season. Yes, even edge. Trade away a first round pick and get Max Crosby. They need to stop over valuing the draft pick that will never pan out as an edge and go get a proven commodity. Should’ve done it at the trade deadline and left Reddick on IR.

  68. Watch Daddy Sling It Says:

It’s possible Grizzard is having to adjust the game plan to mask a best up OL and QB. It’s possible the QB is pressing within the confines of a scheme that limits reads. It’s possible the WRs aren’t being schemed open – or just aren’t getting separation.

I’m okay letting Grizzard grow next season, if injuries are preventing him from developing his own scheme, instead of cherry picking leftovers from last year’s playbook.

Our overall numbers with Grizzard are better than with Canales.

It’s the mind-numbing stubbornness to insist Bucky is the bellcow, no matter what – the absolute refusal to incorporate the TE position as a safety valve for a beat up QB – and some simply weird stretches of calls for whole possessions at a clip that frustrate more than anything.

Listening to a breathless Vilma pontificate that we have “too many weapons on offense to plan for” was insufferable.

At this point, of Baker wants to let it rip and throws 4 tds and 3 picks, and we win by one – only to get crushed in the WC, I’d rather go out being mad and aggressive.

  69. JoeyJoeStein Says:

Anybody dumb enough to hire Charlie Strong onto the staff tells you all you need to know.

  70. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    @ Rod

You only have to visit JAX one-time to know how much of dump that city/area truly is and to never ever go back there again!

…….Honestly speaking, JAX needs to Annexed by Georgia because there is NOTHING Florida about that place!

  71. HC Grover Says:

    Dear Joe,

    Dump Bowzo

  72. Matt Says:

It’s not effort. That’s always an excuse. Trying to get players to play harder is never the answer. It’s about coaching, strategy, and talent.

  73. Popmike66 Says:

I am anxious to get to next week to get a better understanding to what went wrong with the Bucs and what direction they are headed. Love my Bucs but this has been very frustrating the past 5 weeks

  74. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Baker truly isn’t the MAIN problem with this team losing games…..

….it’s the poor defensive play since Week 7 that’s been absolutely horrific…..players on defense looks like they’re loafing alot……especially LOAFING WINFIELD!!!!

  75. Cybersecurity_intern Says:

Why are we so little minded and go say we dont have enough players or whatever. Is not the players fault is the incompetent coaching stuff that had to be fired two years ago.

  76. DungyDance Says:

“I’ve only ever been to Jacksonville once in my life, as a kid, and the place literally smelled like garbage, why is it even part of Florida?”

Rod Munch, comedy gold! You’ve really been annoying the crap out of me all day long (and probably most others), but you redeemed yourself with that one. Thanks for the genuine laugh here at the Hooters bar in Odessa.

  77. BPBucsfan Says:

Well, for all of us wanting Bowles gone, doesn’t sound like it’s even a possibility right now. Go read Greg Auman’s tweet talking about what Ian Rapoport @RapSheet is saying. He says Todd Bowles is “certainly not” in trouble to lose his job. Granted it was posted before the game, but who knows, maybe the Glazer’s will change their minds after next week’s loss at home with division title on the line.

  78. Watch Daddy Sling It Says:

It’s never really as simple as “fire the coach”.

Todd Bowles wasn’t on the field when Dean (ranked #3 by PFF) misplayed the TD last week in Charlotte. He also wasn’t on the field when Dean released the incomparable Theo Wease to no one for 63 yards today.

Frankly, Bowles would probably covered it better if he *had* been out there.

  79. Lakeland Says:

Todd Bowles is one of the lowest paid coaches in the NFL
He’s consistently in the bottom 5, earning less than first time HC
The Bucs were offering Liam Cohen 5 million a year to stay as OC

The Jags offered Coen 12.5 million a year to be their HC
The Glazers are not going to pay any HC that much
The Glazers are notoriously stingy and tight
I think Licht refuses to spend big in free agency, cause of the Glazers
Licht and Greenberg will always be in Tampa

When Bowles go, they will bring in another cheap HC

  80. Lakeland Says:

Liam Cohen is making over $12 million per year
As a inexperienced, first time HC

Bowles is making around $3 million per year
You can call the Glazers a lot of things
But they’re not dumb business people

  81. TheBucsAnthem Says:

You guys really cannot 100% place all the blame on the players

……it is the Head Coach’s job to ensure his team is ready to play

…..if the players are having all these mental issues on players for 8 straight weeks….that’s on the HC…….that’s just bad coaching or the players have tuned the HC out and they just don’t care anymore

  82. Jmarkbuc Says:

Even his excuses are lame, with no effort, and no energy

  83. Watch Daddy Sling It Says:

I’m willing to be proven wrong, but I wouldn’t want Coen as HC over the long-term. I think he’ll prove a Zac Taylor flame-out type.

We’ve had Tomlin, McVay and K Shanahan on the staff at the same time, and every single franchise has similar “what ifs”. Not pining for El Serpiente.

  84. Jason Anthony Sturgess Says:

What Rod Munch and his fellow dunces don’t understand is that Baker Mayfield is following a game plan by his Offensive oordinator. Is it Mayfield’s fault that his team can’t make a 3rd & 2 or 4th & 2 by just running the ball. Is it his fault that on 4th & less than a yard at the 50 Bowles punts to the 15 yard line. Yeah Mayfield has interceptions. So does every other NFL QB. If you want to get rid of Mayfield who are you getting instead. You are not getting Burrows. Dak Prescott who you are not getting isn’t any better. If you want to get rid of Mayfield you better have an alternative. You don’t. Oh I think Munch has Kyle Trask.

  85. Lakeland Says:

The Glazers were paying Bruce Arians $5 million a year

These fans thinking the Glazers gonna spend on a HC

They’re in for a rude awakening

  86. Bobby M. Says:

He’ll get out coached by his former assistant and that will be the proper end to his mediocre efforts as a HC.

  87. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    @ Jason

This is why I think Baker will play his final season here in the 2026 season…..I don’t think Jason Licht will offer him an extension unless he plays well.

I do agree though, that Baker is being screwed over by the worst offensive coordinator in the NFL named Josh Grizzard……he definitely isn’t no damn whiz kid either! 🤬

Baker…. for whatever reasons has no one that is open on time and then he has to dance and scramble hoping for something to open up.
Baker is not the biggest problem

    ——–

Yes, if he only had better receivers then we’d see the ‘real’ Baker… but everyone is plotting against him, they’re jealous of his greatness so they seek to sabotage him. LOL!

  89. Rod Munch Says:

I’m glad to see on a day like today, that we can all unite in our hatred for the city of Jacksonville – and agree it should not be part of Florida as it’s really an ugly, smelly, boring city that belongs in Georgia.

  90. Jarrett Says:

    Yo Joe

The panthers are so trash we practically gave them the division this year and they giving it right back to us next Sunday

I know I sound crazy for believing this team gets it done

But the Bucs are playoff bound next week

    It’s a Bucs life

  91. Jarrett Says:

    So you’re telling THERES A CHANCE ???

Who cares about this dolphins loss. (I didn’t even watch)

Only game that mattered today was the panthers losing

We have A CHANCE … TO WIN THE DIVISION …. THE NFC SOUTH GOES THRU TAMPA BAY NEXT WEEK

THERES A CHANCE THATS ALL THAT MATTERS

    BEAT THE STINKING PANTHERS

ALSO JOE… WHY DIDNT THE BUCS GO AFTER CHASE YOUNG ??? wtf ?

  92. Outrigger Says:

Whatever happened to Elijah Klein? You can’t tell me he isn’t better than the 2 guards we have now. If he isn’t, then he’s another bust of a pick by Licht.

  93. FortMyersDave Says:

Rod, when the wind blow the right way in Jax you can smell the pulp mills which line I-95 in South GA, it is a nasty smell that makes one appreciate living on the Gulf Coast far south of the GA?FL border. Also, do you know why the St Johns River flows north? It is because Jax sux (GA does too for that matter)…..

Fire Bowles. As far as Licht and company, well that will be a GLazer decsion but Todd has to go and I’d like to find out who dropped the ball on Wirfs last summer; if it was team staff, they should be fired too. There were too many injuries to this roster to be a coincidence. The trainers could blame Bopwles Camp Cupcake but it is time for accountability. Fire Bowles.

  94. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I was behind Bowles because the players believe in him.

Then came the presser when he turned on the players…and I said then that he was breaking the cardinal law: Never, ever throw your players under the bus.

Every time that happens, the players turn on you and stop trying as hard.

When he did that, it was the end.

Don’t blame all of the players, blame the coach.

  96. gotbbucs Says:

Non-stop deflection. Dude just refuses to take an blame for this disaster. Its either the offensive coordinator or its the players. Never the defensive coaches or the head coach.
Wanna know how a coach loses the locker room? Bowles is following the Bruce Arians playbook. Always blame the players.

  97. Dan the Bucs Fan Says:

This team has suit on the coaches the fans and each other.

  98. Rod Munch Says:

Has anyone checked the updated draft order… the Bucs are, as of right now, picking 13th.

  99. BPBucsfan Says:

@Jarrett- why didn’t the Bucs go after Chase Young? It would’ve required a 2nd round draft pick, and you know darn well Jason wasn’t giving up his picks.

  100. Usedtocould Says:

    What is our draft position?

  101. SB~LV Says:

    Rod… we don’t have great WR’s …. Anymore
ME and CG are nowhere near as good as we remember them to be.
If I was ME I would haul ass ( Tom Brady) to Houston and go out with a good
team and be a role player for a talented young team.

  102. HeavyE Says:

Baker has to go as well……

  103. SB~LV Says:

    Rod !
Picking 13 is music to my ears!
We are in serious need of overhauling the roster before it actually needs to be rebuilt.
We have no explosive players on offense and the defense can’t generate any quarterback pressure.
What do the Bucs get in compensation if Mike Evans leaves in FA?
What ever it is we need it more than a #54 year out of Mike Evans

Do we need to draft a potential starter at that position absolutely!

  106. Bojim Says:

Too loyal. Should’ve called them out earlier.

  107. Mike Davidson Says:

Bucs win next week, get blown out in 1st playoff game. Team says we can’t fire a guy that’s won like 4 or 5 division titles in a row! Stuck with this defensive genius for yet another mediocre year until one of the rest of this pathetic divisions gets slightly better.

  108. FireBowlesnow Says:

Todd Bowles has ZERO personality. How many coaches with ZERO personality win superbowls? Do the OWNERS want to win a superbowl? Or are Glazers gonna keep him around for mediocrity?

  109. Told You Says:

Where was Joe’s boldness last year when talking about Bowles. “He” was a coward in not calling him out and even acknowledge as much. Buc’s fans wanted “him” to say more then.

Harvey .. Baker ain’t going anywhere!

    ———

Correct, his agent perfectly played the Bucs earlier this year and got his deal, which is $42M next year, fully guaranteed.

Because of that, he isn’t going anywhere. Also because of that, Bowles might end up being back next year, what coach wants to come in and be stuck with a QB like Baker how just got his head coach fired and is coming off a huge losing streak where he single handedly kept losing games and played worse every time the pressure got turned up? You’re not going to get any good prospect – you’re going to get another middling retread, and at that point, just keep Bowles around one more year, and hope for the best, then when it doesn’t work out you clean house top to bottom.

    Mike McCarthy.

  112. Lightningvinny1 Says:

Whatever we did that last TD drive,, do it next week ,,, Grizz called some plays where guys got open

  113. buc4evr Says:

Fire the entire coaching staff. Hiring Grizzard as OC was just the stupidest thing imaginable for so many reasons. Licht should be fired for that alone. The entire defense needs to be rebuilt and no one should be safe. A total rebuild is required.

  114. Larrd Says:

They played with great intensity early in the season. The Texans and Seahawks games seemed playoff level. Completely listless since the bye. Mysterious!

  115. HC Grover Says:

Git him out! Go away Todd.

  116. HC Grover Says:

Glazers Stupid. Money caint buy them brains. BOZOS

  117. Itzok Says:

Bowles is gone in a week along with grizz

  118. Lightningvinny1 Says:

We are in a win win next week,,, playoffs or Bowels fired and with any luck both could happen

  119. DBS Says:

LOL at anyone that wants to draft a QB. This team has draft them and can’t figure out how to develop any of them. Other teams know how.

  120. sethery Says:

For those calling the NFC South the “worst division in football” I would just like to point out that the national sports media and BSPN’s darling AFC North has the same win total, as a division, as the NFC south… As well as their top two teams, with similar records, also still fighting in a head-to-head week 18 winner-takes-all final game of the season… Just sayin.

*sighs* yeah, that didn’t make it any better.

  121. JohnQCitizen Says:

Rod Munch sounds like a disease

  122. Lightningvinny1 Says:

Coaching matters ,, keep watching undermanned SF tonight ,,, give SF a 1st and Second for Shanahan and Salah,,, problem solved

  123. What the heck Says:

Team definitely phoned it in again today. They know if they back into the playoffs, they will just get blown out and embarrassed again in game one. The players want it to end.
    Fire the worthless Bowles.

  124. Lightningvinny1 Says:

Oh and if SF loses its because coaching matters on the other team as well

  125. Bucks 'n' Bucs Says:

There he goes blaming the players. The players show little effort after the first drive is because it’s SOS-different day.

Same stupid plays and schemes being called, it’s easy to see that the same results are coming. My gosh, if all of us unprofessional fans can see it, don’t you think the paid athletes can see it too?

  126. Buckit Says:

Our 20M All Pro Winfield, has just lost it, he has no situational awareness, he can’t cover, cannot, blitz and cannot tackle. But he is an All Pro. And most importantly, he cannot lead.

  127. GenocideD Says:

    Fire Bowles.
Week 16 and can’t tackle with horrible special teams.
    Unacceptable.

  128. Yeahmetoo Says:

Been saying it for weeks. Another prime example of some BIG issues. Not just bad
Coaching which is apparent. Bad qb play. The oline sucks. The dline is terrible.
There is no edge. Linebacking core is not good. The secondary is a joke. How did
Winfield make the pro bowl? Guy gets burned weekly. Too many draft picks the past
Few years have either been complete busts or are injured every year.
JTS’ logan hall. Chris braswell. Chancey. Goedke. Mauch. Most of these are
1st or 2nd round picks and besides mauch when he s healthy have been consistently good.
You cant miss that many early picks and have a sound line on either side of
The ball. So we re looking at a rebuild. We ll see what ownership does and if
Their interested in not sucking the next 5 years.

  129. Robert Says:

As John Mckay once said when asked, How do you feel about your team’s execution. He replied, ” I’m all for it “.

  130. DS Says:

Wonder who the next coach will be once again my wish list. John Harbaugh if fired in Baltimore,Todd Monken, Brian Flores or the rams DC

  131. Tucker Says:

Why even have press conferences at this point with him he doesn’t know how to fix the team and it’s just word vomit with him cya todd
