The discussion about LVD’s post-career plans was interesting. A ministry is no less demanding in terms of time and energy than being a coach. Didn’t he mention that he might want to be an announcer? Again, it’s necessary to invest a lot of time there, too. Whatever he decides to do, I’m sure that he’ll put 110% into it, just as he did when he was a player. I hope that you can get him to come on the Ira Kaufman Podcast.

Regarding the Hall of Fame, LVD’s stats and longevity will at least give him a chance to make it. We are blessed to have him as a Buc for life!

Ira is correct that a re-build cannot happen without first round draft picks, so ‘no’ to Crosby.

Did the Bucs just pay $30 million for a TE who is considered “not dynamic”? That’s not good.

Drafting another TE wouldn’t hurt but not in the first, although yes, the probability is low that the Bucs will find an elite starting edge rusher at #15. Best available player!

What happened with Devin White is yet another Bucs “mystery”, along with MRSA, JR “Easy Money” Sweezy, the numerous injuries to players, etc. etc.

  4. 3.28.Evans Says:

Confusion is what Coach strives for. His players, particularly on defense, are the most confused in the NFL.

  5. Coconut Doughnut Says:

well all comments aside I’m glad to hear the Almighty Sage again!

  6. Proudbucfan Says:

My prediction is 6-11 season I have said this in multiple posts. It’s coming

  7. 3.28.Evans Says:

    6-11 is highly optimistic.

3-14 is more in line with Bowles’ trajectory.

Finished 2-7, that’s a 22% win rate. Expecting more with even less doesn’t make sense.

  8. Kenton Smith Says:

A little early in the year for predictions, but gonna go out on a line here and predict my favorite podcast is gonna have a heck of a year reporting on this team. Great thoughts on Lavonte David. I love that guy. I may be a newer fan of this team but when I hear how the Brady Brady changed the culture of this team to excellence it makes me want to barf. Lavonte has more to do with who this team is in his little toe than Brady has ever meant to this team. And it’s gonna last for years. If we win this year or next year or the next Lavonte is the spirit of this team. Not Tom Brady.

  9. Joe Says:

    “Easy Money” Sweezy

No mystery. He blew his back out pumping weights after the Bucs signed him. Didn’t he start for a year or two after that incident?

numerous injuries to players, etc. etc.

If anyone figures out that riddle, you’ll make a King’s ransom. NFL owners would may millions, maybe billions, if someone could develop a drug that prevents injuries.

Joe doesn’t leave a stone unturned and its awesome

  11. Simeon4HOF Says:

    7-10 predraft

  12. Oxycondomns Says:

    5-12 pre and post draft

  13. Simeon4HOF Says:

This is the time of year I write the Bucs roster and depth chart on paper to figure out how to fix whats become a mess as soon as possible, and it looks pretty sad rn lol

  14. Bowles Wasn't Held Accountable Says:

The Glazers have already shown me they don’t care by keeping Bowles, but if they bring back White and JTS, it will show they REALLY don’t care.

  15. Whatevs Says:

    7 wins is the ceiling

    6 – 11 is real

  16. Mr. Editor Says:

Thank you, Joe(s), for clarifying about Sweezy. I didn’t catch that article about what happened to him in the gym, but I did read all of the numerous articles focusing on the “mystery” surrounding the injury and how “shrouded” the Bucs and Sweezy were about it. You often invite us to look at the JBF archives, and the search seems to confirm that.
