BSPN Prediction: Rachaad White Scores On A Screen Play
December 27th, 2025Boy, this is right in Josh Grizzard’s wheelhouse.
Joe had very high hopes for the Mike McDaniel/Liam Coen protégé, Bucs offensive coordinator Grizzard. Sadly, he’s turned into both coaches in that he doesn’t like downfield throws.
To give Grizzard sort of a pass, he had his knees cut out from under him when both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin missed so much time due to injuries. But it seems Grizzard is in a check-down/screen-pass rut that he can’t climb out of, even though he may have the best group of downfield receivers in the NFL.
Grizzard loves him some screen passes and Sunday, his dedication finally pays off. Per BSPN’s Seth Walder, a guy who never met a number he didn’t like, says tomorrow Rachaad White will hit paydirt in likely one of his final games with the Bucs.
On a screen.
Bold prediction: Buccaneers RB Rachaad White will score a touchdown on a screen pass. The Bucs have run 24 screens to RBs this season, the third most in the NFL, and no team has surrendered a higher EPA per play to opponent screens (0.36) than the Dolphins.
To demonstrate how Grizzard’s offense has not been effective, one of White’s bread-and-butter plays was a short pass, perhaps a screen, and he would get monster YAC out of it.
So far this year White has 166 yards of YAC. That’s way less than half of what he had with Dave Canales (396) and Coen (382) the previous two seasons.
White didn’t have much YAC at all with arrogant knothead Byron Leftwich. Go figure.
So Grizzard is encroaching upon Leftwich territory in how to use a weapon out of the backfield like White in the passing game.

Don’t you just love the look of that white creamsicle uni? Hope Walders’ prediction comes true. I just hope someone, anyone, scores a TD. Hopefully, several do.

After his almost 40-yard run in the last game, but they went straight back to Bucky and didn’t go back to him for quite some time. What’s all this talk about a hot hand?

TampaBayBucFan, it’s a sad state of affairs when it’s a crapshoot from the 1 yard line. But I haven’t heard many talk about Evans touchdown reception from the 1 yard line last week to cap off our first drive.Talk about a thing of beauty. Hall of Famer making it look easy. Man he’s fun to watch. I’ll bet it’s a blast throwing it to him. Come on Grizz! And Baker!

What would the record be with Liam Cohen ?
It was clear to everyone that he was what was making the offense click.
He coulda shoulda been the head coach this year.
It would have been the correct decision!
This is on Jason Licht for telling the Glazers that he had a secret plan to keep Cohen for the future.
The future done did the right thing, bird in the hand is worth more than two in the bush.
OBP left as the BAG HOLDER… it’s been a sheet show ever since!
Spin all you want…. We ain’t buying it anymore!
Team is on the verge of rebuilding talent wise
And absolutely rebuilding attitude and identity wise!

White > Bucky. Bucky is, and always will be, in the tub. Licht and Bowles will never get this right. Good news is that Klint Kubiak, the Bucs HC for 2026, knows how to properly scheme a running game and will thrive no matter who the Yucs RB is.

White is our best option
