It’s about time for Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht to return to social media and recycle what appears to be one of his favorite videos.
It’s a cut of washed up slimy Saints edge rusher Cameron Jordan talking about how the Bucs will suck now that Tom Brady has left the team.
The Saints don’t like the Bucs, and vice versa. Baker Mayfield expressed his disdain during the offseason and this week.
Two-time Saints Pro Bowl linebacker Demario Davis, however, thinks Mayfield’s off-field chatter is worthless. “This ain’t Wrestlemania,” Davis said when asked about Mayfield and pregame trash talk this week.
Davis, the guy Saints fans think has had a better career than Lavonte David, said trash talk is good for getting players hyped between the white lines, and that’s where it belongs.
Jordan will be on the field Sunday for the Saints. He’s still playing a lot of snaps in his 15th season, and he’s found 2 1/2 sacks.
Opposite Jordan often will be Chase Young, who famously ran his mouth in 2020 as a member of Washington. Young was seen yelling, “I want Tom Brady” when it was learned his team would face the Bucs in the playoffs.
Of course, Young was silenced by Donovan Smith and the Bucs marched to victory.
Speaking of Smith, he was on the wrong end of a classic Jordan blast on Twitter, which led to the chief Saints clown being proved wrong again.
It sure will be fun to beat the Saints on Sunday.

Sure hope this does not turnout to be a trap game. Yes these two teams don’t like each other so throw out the won loss records. If the Bucs struggle in the first quarter, it could be a long day.RarThese matchups are rarely one sided contests. The Bucs are plenty banged up and it appears many starters will be out. Their is to much parity in the leaugue and any teams number 2’s are generally no match for another team’s starters. Don’t sleep on the NO team or you may wake up to a 5-3 record. To say the Bucs were poor against Detroit was an understatement.They simply were not ready for the energy Detroit had. The Bucs past history includes a several loss slide in quite a few seasons. I am not trying to be negitive just saying , this game could be very close. I hope the Bucs blow them out. However, history says not likely

Mayfield wasn’t trash talking. He was just speaking the truth. I’ve watched the Saints play often enough to see the dirty play. I remember one play from last season when Devonta Smith caught a pass over the middle and his forward progress had been stopped and was being driven back by multiple defenders and then a d-lineman Bryan Bresee came from the opposite direction and slammed into him and about broke him in half. Devonta Smith doesn’t weigh much more than Tez.The Saints and the Steelers are the two dirtiest teams in the NFL. The way they play is a tradition. Some call it hard nosed but it devolves into something more beyond that way too often.

We’ll win.Not because the Saint are weak, but because the Bucs are strong. We don’t lay down and quit after a loss…we come out and slaughter. Saints will be lucky to get 10.

I would be worried about taking the game lightly if we had escaped Detroit with a win. I think the team is pissed off from a missed opportunity, bad play and horrid officiating. I’m guessing they come out of the gate at an 11 on a 10 scale.
Need to make sure emotions don’t get the best of us and cost us yardage via penalties, turnovers and dumb special teams gaffs like last year which kept them in it. You know for a fact that Jordan and company remember that.
If they can manage the emotions I would expect a 14 point win.

Just remind Jordan that he wasn’t drafted by the Bucs after he turned everybody off during his visit by his incessant loud mouth talking. He can also be reminded that the his team (I can’t bear to say the name) has sucked since Drew Brees left and that’ a fact jack !

The only guarantees in the NFL is there are no guarantees.
Harken back two weeks ago: Super Bowl champs Eagles have the 1 win NY Giants coming to town with a rookie QB playing in his first start. Top that off with the Giants getting smashed by the winless Saints the week before.
Eagles fans like many here thought this was the easiest game of the year. Chalk it up, Giants don’t have a chance in hell!
Then what happened? Three hours after kickoff the easy, guaranteed win turned into a blowout, only the other way as the Giants destroyed them, 34-17.
Don’t understand the mindsets from those who assume there are easy wins in this league. It’s like, do you ever watch the games?

I hope some of you guys are right that Bucs will be fired up off the loss.
We have 5 division games left. With our injuries, I will not be surprised if the Bucs go 3-2. That seems unacceptable based on the paper matchups but we see it every year.
Last year 0-2 vs Falcons, crush the Saints and barely win the next, same with Panthers. We could have easily been 2-4 vs the division last year.
Sunday is Saints SB as someone said. We are getting their best punch. Bucs better be prepared for it. Rattler shredded us in the first half of the last game vs them.
Saints losing McCoy could be big for us. I thought the same about Dalman last year with ATL though and we saw how that turned out.

I don’t like this game. I think we’ll win, but we should win easily.
If we win it’ll be a bunch of “fans” saying it was only the stinking saints and we let them gain yards (or even score points) in a football game 😭.
If we were to lose (not likely but possible) then the Todd trolls would have the happiest day of their little lives.

In the NFL it’s on any given Sunday, any team can win !! I know the Bucs are doing everything they can to be ready for this division game, and I believe they will win. But we just never can be 100% sure our team will win.
But, if I was betting on this game, my money would definitely be on our Buccaneers!!

I love trash talking and I have no issue with it… other than Baker’s history, which normally goes like this…
Plays well…
Everyone tells Baker how well he’s playing…
Baker starts telling everyone how well he’s playing…
Baker goes out and has his worst game of the season…
Repeat…
If you talk trash, then play your worst game of the year, that’s a bad cycle.
I want to see Baker bounce back big this week, and frankly, I think he’ll get it done. It’s a huge game for Baker and the Bucs, they can’t be on a losing streak going into a bye week with games vs the Pats, Bills and Rams coming up.

But if Rattler pulls an upset and gets the best of him Sunday, his mouth will be silenced and the post bye opponents will be harder to beat.

There is One Thing that seems Clear from “some” fans and that is they STILL HAVEN’T “Bought In” and or Don’t Believe in Baker…. And I’ve got to say…. JUST WOW!
So he has one bad game out of 7… Considered for MVP for THIS Season, and all the sudden People are going to question his Capabilities, his Leadership , and his Heart?
Or, is fear this about “the coaching” or lack there of? Or is it the Lack of effective game planning (offense and defense), AND Baker and the teams ability to execute?
Where is this lack of confidence coming from?
