Rounds 2 And 3 Draft Winner, SirVocea Dennis
April 25th, 2025
SirVocea Dennis.
So the Bucs need inside linebacker help? No they don’t.
“This Joe” tried to warn the world, so did Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht.
Licht was adamant in late March that third-year linebacker SirVocea Dennis, plagued by shoulder injuries the Bucs hope were surgically repaired last fall, is a “very good starting linebacker” in the NFL based on his limited play.
And Licht’s actions have backed up his words.
Before giving Dennis a public vote of confidence, the Bucs signed veteran inside linebacker Anthony Walker, Jr., a guy handpicked by Lavonte David. The Bucs believe they’ve upgraded significantly from last year’s debacle of K.J. Britt and J.J. Russell alongside David. And they certainly have if Dennis and Walker can stay healthy. Dennis has flashed top shelf talent but he hasn’t been able to stay healthy.
Tonight and last night, the Bucs didn’t draft a linebacker. It’s a huge win for Dennis, and possibly Walker.
Like it or not.

Shadeur Sanders just went to the Toronto Argonauts.
April 25th, 2025 at 10:44 pm
Chris Paul Jr, Jeffrey Bassa or Barrett Carter in the 4th.
April 25th, 2025 at 10:45 pm
Geno…
🤣🤣🤣

In the words of the great Big Dog, AMF Dean.

Shadeur Sanders just went to the Toronto Argonauts… round 7.
April 25th, 2025 at 10:46 pm
Dennis played great last year, he just got hurt again, which has been his issue in the NFL so far. But, if he can stay healthy, he’s going to be a quality LB.
In the 4th, I really like Jeffrey Bassa if he’s available – he’s a good coverage LB with good speed. But there’s some other options there as well if they go LB.
Of course I’d have zero issues if they took another corner, or a safety.
Or, just for fun, if they took Sanders. In this Bucs offense, which is a quick pass offense, Sanders might actually be a good fit – obviously, purely, as a 3rd string backup.
April 25th, 2025 at 10:51 pm
Can we take sanders just because
April 25th, 2025 at 10:52 pm
Rod Munch
I would take Sanders as a backup to Baker.
He could learn for several years and hopefully mature.
Worth a shot in round 7.
April 25th, 2025 at 10:55 pm
“Voss” will play well this year. Hopefully the shoulder stuff is all behind him now.
April 25th, 2025 at 10:59 pm
We still need some DT need to back up Vea…….
Not seeing any quality ones left out there…
Maybeeeee Thor Griffith in 6th/7th ??
Also there are still some LBr’s that are ok too…:.
Maybe we go LB in round 4 ???
I see a few that are worth consideration..
I gotta say I’m seeing many holes anymore on the Bucs team here???
April 25th, 2025 at 11:00 pm
Oops, suppose to say I’m NOT seeing any real holes on the Bucs team anymore…
April 25th, 2025 at 11:00 pm
BowlesSucks – I’d legit take him in the 4th, but he’d be the 3rd stringer – I don’t see him beating out Trask. But Trask only signed a one-year deal, and Baker has played great, but you never know, maybe he turns into a pumpkin again. I doubt it, but it’s not bad to have backup plans. Four years of a guy with NFL talent – not a great arm but good enough – who is a highly rated prospect, I’d take a shot on that. At the very least it would get the team a bunch of publicity and sell a bunch of jerseys.
April 25th, 2025 at 11:02 pm
Let’s take Danny Stutsman in the 4th!
April 25th, 2025 at 11:02 pm
Lots of positive vibes and talk of good health for lots of our guys. Let’s speak that into existence, as we’re going to need that health.

ATL killed this draft. Say hello to the next NFCS champs. We only won by default.
April 25th, 2025 at 11:05 pm
Bucs should trade back into the bottom of the third and draft Sanders
April 25th, 2025 at 11:05 pm
Take Sanders are you joking?

Roger, that, Mystc.
Joe,
Licht and Bowles have played the ILB position tactically so far. They seem to think that David and Walker give them a floor they can win with. And, they are hoping that Dennis raises that ceiling. How did that work out at ILB and Safety last year?
They have used the draft to strengthen the floor and hope to raise the ceiling at WR and CB. In their own way, each of the first three picks has potential as an NFL ball hawk. Time will tell. From the picks so far, it looks like Bowles wants to play man more and blitz less.
They still need to strengthen the floor and try to raise the ceiling at ILB, S, DL, Edge, and OL. But, there is only so much that can be done in one draft.
Strategically, I think that the Bucs made a real blunder by passing on Campbell to take Egbuka. I think that Egbuka will be a good receiver; I think that Campbell will be an All Pro; if he stays with one team long enough, I think that he could be a future Hall of Fame member. But, the Eagles tend to collect compensatory draft picks by free agents go after big money elsewhere. Moving from team to team may make it less likely that he will make it into the Hall of Fame. But, who knows. It is not like the Bucs haven’t lost promising players to stupid things like fireworks and traffic collisions.
April 25th, 2025 at 11:08 pm
Desmond Watson in the 4th! Go gators.
April 25th, 2025 at 11:14 pm
Let’s hope so. This whole draft feels weird. IDK exactly why but I’m left feeling kinda empty. The third round pick felt meh at best though I’m not going to pretend that I’m the guy that can tell you all about it.. But that pick on its face seemed pretty bland and uninspiring. Not saying he wasn’t the best choice though his accolades seemed few.
I’m sure it’s the head space I’m in I suppose. I just wish I had a better gut feeling about it. Then again I’m watching it it on the NFL draft center and those guys are BOOOORRING TO SLEEP! Go Figure
April 25th, 2025 at 11:15 pm
Rod Munch,
Watch Bo Nix beat Dennis for a first quarter touchdown and then say that Dennis played great last year.
Dennis and Britt both had opportunities to make very makeable game changing plays in that first quarter after their teammates made great plays to stop the initial attack and redirect the play to their LB help; Dennis and Britt both failed.
April 25th, 2025 at 11:15 pm
Famu_Rattler says: Yes Rah and Falcons are looking good with 2 Edge Rushers and good draft of DB’s so far… Bucs will have to step up in the Rds 4-7 and FA or trading. Hope Dennis is at full speed, hope Benjamin Morrison is fully healed, hope Dean can play tighter coverage, hope Goodwin can be ready for game 1, hope we have a capable QB2. ….Hope, Hope and Hope…Go Bucs

Yeah, in this offense, which is a short quick passing game offense, I think he’d actually do well – and with these weapons, he might do really well. He’d have to accept being a backup, but if he panned out, you got a valuable trade chip, and injury insurance (longterm) for Baker. For a late 4th round pick, I’d take that bet.
April 25th, 2025 at 11:23 pm
it’s wild that nobody wants to touch sanders…
whaaaaoow !

April 25th, 2025 at 11:23 pm
if he’s there when we pick in the 4th…..just take the guy…lol
April 25th, 2025 at 11:24 pm
1sooner, I agree with you on Danny Stutsman. He’s a First team all SEC linebacker, a finalist for the Butkus award. He led his team with 104 tackles.
Could be a steal this late in the draft.
April 25th, 2025 at 11:24 pm
i think it’s become cool to pass on him at this point 🙂
April 25th, 2025 at 11:25 pm
BTW, just to be clear, I absolutely do not think that will happen. Teams hate fun, hate having cameras at their building – no idea why since they’re literally in the entertainment business – but they like safe and boring.
April 25th, 2025 at 11:28 pm
Absolutely agree with Mhystic. Bassa, Paul Jr or Carter at ILB in 4th. PSU Safety Reed in the 5th for depth.
April 25th, 2025 at 11:28 pm
what if he becomes mr. irrelevant…last man picked…
hmmm
April 25th, 2025 at 11:39 pm
I would take sanders in a heartbeat with our next pick. Let him sit for a couple of years and let our locker room teach him. Kid is a baller and will be a very solid QB in this league. It’s actually embarrassing with him not being drafted yet.
April 25th, 2025 at 11:39 pm
It’s not a good class for Linebackers anyways. Could just sign a vet on a training camp deal. Wait til next year
April 25th, 2025 at 11:41 pm
Even after three rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft, there’s still a deep pool of players—outside of quarterback—who could start on day one. The reason? COVID eligibility. That extra year let guys stay in school, develop, and enter the league more polished than ever.
We’re seeing the impact most clearly at defensive tackle. JJ Pegues, Deone Walker, Cam Jackson, Joshua Farmer—all still on the board deep into Day 3. Thor Griffith might not get drafted at all, yet he has the traits to be one of the best in the class. That’s how deep this group is.
It’s worth asking: should college players always have the option to stay longer? With NIL money and academic flexibility, we may already be in the *Van Wilder* era—players sticking around for six years, collecting degrees and sacks. Just let them play for 10 years if there not good enough to go to the NFL and call it what it is… Semi Pro…
Whatever the case, the depth of this class isn’t a fluke. It’s development in action—and the NFL is about to benefit
All this said we need more defense specifically a Linebacker or two…

Woodman, what the hell you talking about??
I just didn’t like Licht’s 1st round pic last nite….
Nothing to do with the player, just the need.
We needed DEFENSE first in my eyes…
I like Morrison in the 2nd and we got great value for him.
Not sure on Parrish as so don’t really watch him. When I researched, he sounds like a fiesty competitive DB….
Giving the draft overall a B grade right now…
April 25th, 2025 at 11:54 pm
Josh, I’m liking Deone Walker to backup Vea.
He’s a monster dude with good athleticism..

Geno one of those that hates on Sanders for the wrong reasons
April 26th, 2025 at 12:07 am
The truth is: SVD was going to beat out any ILB we drafted this year anyway.
We need an eventual LVD replacement, not an SVD replacement.
SVD looked like our best player on defense when he finally got his shot last year, and he’s one of the smartest players on our entire team. If he stays healthy, he is entrenched as one of our stsrting ILB’s for years to come.

WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO ADDRESS THIS
THE BUCS PASS ON SANDERS 3 TIMES !!!!
ARE YOU INSANE JASON LIGHT
WAY BETTER QB THEN BAKER
April 26th, 2025 at 12:11 am
Lol @ Sanders 😂 😂 😂
Trask is a better option behind Mayfield, unless you mean have Sanders as our #3 QB who never sees the field ever because Bake will most-likely be our starter for the next 10 years.
April 26th, 2025 at 12:11 am
Love SirVocea Dennis.
We fixed our biggest holes on Defense .. CB plural.
This team is Super Bowl Bound folks
April 26th, 2025 at 12:14 am
Jarrett – having an unrepaired closed head injury isn’t something to brag about. Get it fixed.

QUITE FRANKLY IVE NEVER BEEN MORE EMBARRASSED FOR MY SQUAD
THE BUCS ARE IN NO POSITION TO PASS ON SANDERS
WE SHOULDA TOOK HIM AT 19
THIS IS ONE BIG DISGUSTING JOKE
WHY ARE WE SO TIED DOWN TO BAKER MAYFIELD HE HAS LITERALLY DONE NOTHING IN THIS LEAGUE
WE ARE THE ONLY TEAM THAT EVEN WANTED BAKER
April 26th, 2025 at 12:20 am
Any players drafted to play defense have to play for a defensive coordinator who neither the head coach nor the general manager really believes in. Might as well draft Sanders and some scrub offensive players just to enrage the eggplants who think they know better than Jason.
April 26th, 2025 at 12:24 am
I mean the man has prolonged having surgery. Finally got injured this year and decided the surgery should be done. This year he deserves a shot to take a position being fully healed with no limitation or excuses. A few times I thought it was Lavonte blowing up a play. nope just Dennis the Menace!!! On top of all of this we did sign Anthony Walker Jr from Miami. He comes with a Lavonte David stamp of approval. And he has some Miami connections with grizzard I believe. I’m not 100 percent if griz and walker jr were on the same squad. I’ll give props to Coehn on getting a potential franchise changing player in Duvall. Little rich for me. But the cupboards were bare in Jacksonville. Spytek surprised me with taking a rb so early. It sucks there gone. But it’s still interesting to see how they operate with new teams from here on out. Once a buc always a buc.
April 26th, 2025 at 12:24 am
I really don’t get it, at all!? Big Deone Walker absolutely ‘dominated’ THE SEC in both of his FRESH & SOPH seasons & was considered a future Top-10 PICK, by just about everyone… NO ONE could get over it, when watching Kentucky Games! I mean, he REALLY stood-out & everyone talked about it. Hell, he had 7.5 SACKS AND 12.5 TFL his SOPH. Season. Even, while being ‘double and triple’ TEAMED. He was unstoppable. A MONSTER. But, just happened to find himself in a God-Awful, HORRIBLE position last season being a part of a PATHETIC Kentucky Team. He just lost interest and was outta shape was all, & it’s wasn’t like HE was horrible. Just ran outta gas during the second half of games and completely lost all interest by the end of the season (just like everyone else did too, including the fans). The dude is 6’7 350+ and can MOVE, play standing upright, coming off the EDGE and everything!!!! Could stand to lose about 30, but DAMN… I don’t get it!? WHY is he not picked yet!? I hope JL moves up and secures him. ALL he needs is to get with the right organization, and you’re talking a possible, VERY ‘special’ player.

Any chance the Iowa Barnstormers take the sanders kid?
April 26th, 2025 at 12:38 am

You all need to put a couple spaces in between your paragraphs. Nobody is reading that giant wall of text
April 26th, 2025 at 1:21 am
The problem with drafting Shadeur Sanders is that your drafting Neon Deion along with him. No GM or HC wants that headache as the dude will likely be a major distraction if things are not going the way Deion wants them to.
April 26th, 2025 at 1:36 am
I like Deion Jones as our 3rd LB he was good in AtL. Similar traits to Sirvocea . But f we can draft a guy in the 4th for depth and to push Walker and Jones we are looking good on D.
April 26th, 2025 at 1:36 am
@jarrett, shut the hell up.
You’ll notice that the rest of the league passed on Sanders.
Mayfield is a better QB by far than Sanders will ever be.
You’re dumb. In all caps.

He’s also not an egotistical idiot like Sanders. Legendary??l Lol.
No team or competent GM wants any part of Sanders three ring circus.
