Do You Draft No. 2 Wide Receivers 19th Overall?

April 25th, 2025

Of course there’s controversy surrounding the Bucs’ pick of Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka at No. 19 overall.

That’s what happens when you appear to be an impact defensive piece from the NFC Championship game.

It’s ok. Joe gets how some fans are outraged, and Joe also gets why many fans are applauding the Bucs voting for supporting explosive offense.

NBC NFL Draft guru Chris Simms was asked the tough question last night after the Bucs’ pick. “Do you draft No. 2 wide receivers 19th overall?”

Yes, many people see Egbuka’s ceiling as that of a guy who will be a hell of a No. 2 receiver, meaning he’s not a line up outside and beat a defense deep kind of player, or play with a giant catch radius. He’s more of a Chris Godwin clone.

Simms thinks the Bucs got a strong player but not value.

“That’s my problem. Right? I mean, it really is,” Simms said. “It’s safe. I get it. Culture building. He’s going to help your football team. I understand that. I don’t think there’s going to be a lot of yards after the catch. You’re going to ask the offensive coordinator to figure out ways to constantly get him open. I understand that, but I don’t love that for the No. 19 pick in the draft.”

All fair stuff there from Simms in the shadow of the Bucs leaving every cornerback not named Travis Hunter and safety in the draft on the board.

Best Players Still On The Board?

Ogbeku had a 4.0 gpa at Ohio

  2. Regulator16 Says:

You can spin this how you want…preparing for post Mike, Godwin might now be fully healthy by week 1, BPA on Bucs Board. At the end of the day though, we had EVERY DB not named Hunter at our disposal, and took, quite possibly, one of our least needed positions. Trust the process I guess.

  3. SteveK Says:

I am thrilled with the pick.

Very polished player, has experience sharing the ball/spotlight and isn’t a jerk (just like Godwin and Mike).

He played for a national champ, and has experience in high profile games.

Was coached by Brian Hartline and the OSU WR Factory.

I love trench players, but 8 defensive guys went before we picked.

Last year Mike and Chris missed some time, they’re both going to be 30+ this year. Why not have another great option to add to the depth chart?

This guy is a solid player and a great personality to add to the team. Go Bucs!

  4. SteveK Says:

Egbuka> the defensive board. He must be if Bowles sees the light and wants to add another playmaker.

I’m excited for Grizzard to get another high-end toy to add the to the equation. And the kid can block!

  5. Vanessa Anne Says:

I’m still in the exact same place I was last night when I posted to the open thread.

    Scratching my head.

All of the arguments for drafting a WR, drafting the BPA, thinking long term, the hints that have been dropped these fast couple of weeks, etc., make sense to me.

But my overriding thoughts remain the same. We need to seriously shore up our defense.

Jason Licht has shown he has a knack for drafting excellent players in rounds 2-4, 2-5.

I’m just hoping he demonstrates the heck out of it for the remainder of this weekend.

  6. Baker Bowl Says:

Now that it’s the morning after, I love the pick. I was never against the player, but having our pick of any defensive players that we need, seeing us pass on defense is concerning. I hope we do some damage today and get lucky with someone falling to us (I really want us to trade up to the top of the second) so I’ll wait and let the front office cook because there’s a reason they’re in the room and I’m not.

Regardless, the offense is going to be ELECTRIC. I just hope we don’t see more of the scoring 30+ points and losing this season. Defense robbed us of a couple wins last season.

  7. Ds Says:

My only problem is Licht seems to have only drafted for depth we meee guys who will play

  8. Leopold Stotch Says:

Can anyone name one Ohio State WR, in recent years, who has been a bust?

  9. heyjude Says:

Holding out to see what Licht does tonight. Still hoping for Donovan and maybe Licht will move up in drafting defense. Like Joe’s other post, there is a great list of players left.

Overall, watching the draft is exhilarating. Love seeing these kids reach their dream of playing in the NFL. Their excitement is compelling. And who doesn’t enjoy seeing their suits, bling, and shoes! Fun to watch.

  10. Fetty freddy Says:

At this point the bucs is a franchise that has sustained a winning formula by drafting people that fit the culture in the locker room. Players play coaches coach.

  11. Josh Says:

    **Josh Grizz’s Spread 2.0: A Game-Changer for NFL Offenses**

Josh Grizz isn’t just tweaking the spread offense; he **could** be **reprogramming it** with his **Spread 2.0**—a hybrid, RPO-heavy, motion-centric system that **could** manipulate leverage, control space, and punish defensive indecision.

    **Personnel: Versatile, Stressful Threats**

Grizz’s offense **should** thrive on **multiplicity**—one grouping, endless looks. Each player is a movable piece:

    – **Mike Evans** – Elite **Boundary X** receiver, **primary deep threat**, forces safety rotation and creates mismatches against press coverage. He’s the go-to player for winning vertical routes, contested catches, and jump balls. His ability to stretch the field horizontally and vertically **could** open up space for everyone else.
    – **Chris Godwin/Emeka Egbuka** – Both physical, elite blockers with the ability to beat zones and create YAC. Their roles are interchangeable, making either one a dangerous threat on the perimeter and in the middle.
    – **Jalen McMillan** – Motion weapon, RPO adjuster, a versatile playmaker who can stretch the defense horizontally and vertically, creating confusion and forcing defenders into tough decisions.
    – **Trey Palmer** – Speedster, vertical slot/Z hybrid
    – **Devin Culp** – Athletic flex TE, seam threat
    – **Cade Otton** – Inline TE with route feel
    – **Rashad White** – RB/WR hybrid, elite route runner
    – **Bucky Irving** – Quick back with elite change-of-direction

**Roles shift constantly**—it’s **offensive basketball on grass**. Defenses **could** always be in conflict.

    **Core Concepts:**

    1. **Jet Motion into Crack Power:**
    – McMillan/Palmer motions → safety shifts
    – Godwin/Egbuka cracks safety, Otton seals edge
    – Power run downhill with Bucky/White
    – Safety bites? Quick slant to Egbuka/Godwin

    2. **RPO Chainsaws:**
    – Motion holds overhang defenders
    – QB reads 2nd-level defender
    – Routes: Slant (Egbuka/Palmer), Hitch (Godwin/Egbuka), Seam (Culp/Otton)

    3. **Vertical Kill Shots:**
    – Slant coverage jump → counter with sluggo or wheel
    – **Mike Evans** takes the lid off the defense, stretching vertically
    – Palmer runs a deep wheel or seam, pushing safeties
    – TE clears middle zone

    4. **Motion-to-Trips Screens:**
    – Pre-snap confusion forces defensive calls
    – Palmer/Godwin with bubble or tunnel
    – Culp motions to seal alley
    – Otton/White lead through numbers advantage

    **Why It **Could** Break Defenses:**

    – **Personnel Fluidity:** Same group, endless formations
    – **Stretching the Field:** Every play **could** attack both horizontally and vertically
    – **Power Run Integrity:** Pullers **should** open holes for backs
    – **RPO Leverage:** Creates constant pre- and post-snap options
    – **No Subbing = No Matchups:** **Could** keep tempo and force mismatches

**Defensive Hesitation = Irrelevant Pass Rush**

The key to Spread 2.0 is **indecision and hesitation**. Defenders are forced to stand and think through every play. Is it a run or pass? Am I supposed to attack the line or drop into coverage? By the time they figure it out, the play is already over. This confusion makes pass rushers irrelevant.

The pass rusher **could** beat their blocker, but if they’re unsure whether it’s a run or pass, they hesitate—and could end up getting cracked back blocked or out of position. The offense, with its fluid roles and constant motion, keeps defenders on edge, forcing them to make decisions too late. With 20+ plays designed to create confusion, the defenders are left guessing.

**No clear keys**—no sure read. This is a pass rusher’s nightmare: if you’re not sure if it’s a pass, you can’t fully commit to rushing the QB. Hesitation renders the rush ineffective. The constant misdirection makes defenders second-guess their instincts, and by the time they react, the ball is gone, and the play is over.

    This **could** be **defensive hell**:
    – Nickel defenses **could** get out-gapped
    – Base defenses **could** be isolated in space
    – Safeties **could** be in constant run-pass binds

Grizz isn’t just **out-scheming** defenses—he’s **removing their ability to dictate terms**. **Spread 2.0 isn’t a playbook; it’s a philosophy**. The NFL **could** soon be hit with an evolution of speed, space, and power—**whether they’re ready or not**.

  12. pewter941 Says:

My friend from Sarasota played at Ohio State, he compared egbuka to Aman Ra. Thats a hell of a comparison. He doesnt drop anything. Makes me think of Sterling dropping a can of corn vs the cowboys

  13. Baker Bowl Says:

    @Josh

Are you **Josh Grizzard**? I **can’t help** but think this **would** be the way he would **type** if he were to have **to explain** his **offensive plan** to **JoeBucsFan.com** and all of it’s **daily visitors**

  14. Destinjohnny Says:

There was a reason why the osu blog eleven warriors had him as a second round pic.
The crazy thing was we passed on trading down.
This guy wasn’t going in the first.

Great defenses are overrated just ask the eagles as they drafted our guy

  15. KABucs Says:

Scheming to get him open, that part I don’t understand. It seems like you can put this guy anywhere and he will get open. Runs good routes and such. Chris Godwin, when healthy, got us a first down anytime we needed one. He’s the guy to move the chains. Beast blocker, amazing guy, always got first downs even on run plays. If Emeka Egbuka is truly a Chris Godwin clone, nobody has to “scheme” him to get him open.

Simms is more of a Cowherd guy when it comes to NFL analysis… clickbait, big rants and shock value. He was a mediocre quarterback and I think I agree with about half of what he says. His opinion means nothing to me, especially in regards to talent evaluation.
    JL>>>>CS

  16. Buddha Says:

The draft is not a science! Jeremiah had him as #18 and we took him at #19. Clearly a best available selection. In terms of technique, he is the best wide receiver in the draft. He made a laptop speed but so did Evans and only evaluators said he that he is the best router. He is used to winning and he played against the best competition in the country. This is a no risk. I reward selection.

  17. Xristos Says:

I m not bashing the pick or saying that Egbuka will not be a good player. Time wil tell.

But to all those that say we need another playmaker on Offense. Yes sure we do.
    Have you seen our Defense?????
Do we not need a playmaker there more????
Who is going to make the plays. Funderburk, Hayes, Braswell, Hall ??? Or maybe our wishful thinking and the words of Coach Bowles we need to make a play.

I dont know, sometimes i dont get things just like our Defense cant get a stop when we need one.

    Go Bucs

  18. Ancient Says:

With all the fan response since the selection, the fundamental issue about JL is this. He DOESN’T get to set the (multi-year) team priorities.

He said 3 minutes into his press conference last night, this is a pick for the future and the present”. One foot in, and one foot out. It’s sadly safe, cowardly. ME13 definitely has probably two good years left here for us, that’s the “known”. LVD one year. Need to pay Baker next year. All of which are the synchronized CURRENT conditions of our roster.

What JL DIDN’T do last night, was capitalize on the “known” of the Bucs current playoff deep potential run.

He doesn’t get to stunt, thwart how the current consensus of the team IS and should be maximized in 2025 & 2026 for a SuperBowl run.

He’s blindly, willfully not prioritizing…that. He’s not Roseman in Philly, Decosta in Baltimore (or Ozzie Newsome back in the day there), Ron Wolf in Green Bay back then, Ernie Accorsi for th Giants. Nope.

He’s just a guy temporarily occupying the “GM” role here, out of Nebraska to wit, and he doesn’t get to set the priorities, and over-prioritize his future sustained paychecks (merely). Like Simms said above, safe, nauseatingly stunted.

One foot in, one foot out. While this two year window remaining, runs out.

  19. Ufcguy32 Says:

Why is Jason continuing to pass over premium pass rushers
You have Donovan and green… I refuse to believe that we passed on two producers and got a receiver. It’s stupid. Even if he’s a stud you ignore the most glaring need. Last year it was verse and fiske. I told everyone were idiots and these guys wrecked the nfl. Same here. We better trade up to 7 in the 2nd

  20. TampaBayBucFan Says:

Count TBBF with the “not surprised” group…….Imagine our season on the line with either Evans or Godwin out….

And…as far as the player……ask Baker Mayfield if he would rather have Ebuku or Golden.

Let’s see how the draft plays out….If Jason goes for an Oline backup in round 3 then I’ll be upset.

  21. adam from ny Says:

once this kid opens his mouth, he’s even more impressive than just his on-field play…

watch his “in home” presser on you tube from last night…

the kid is mentally on point……and an athletic specimen…

    nice pick…

    now go defense, defense, defense

  22. Jeffrey Becker Says:

thanks Josh. while I trudged through your post an find it interesting, we have no OL depth and can’t get off the field defensively. even if we go D on every pick from here on out, we’ll likely only get 1 or 2 decent players. if baker or OL suffers an injury, we’ll lose every game until they return. this is cool for Griz, i gettit. kinda sucks for everyone else. the only thing i can think of – emeka is perfect for third and five conversions and keeping our D off the field, and blocks so well it’ll help Bucky. if i’m sheppard i’m freaking out though

  23. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    what does ronde think?

  24. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Jason has ALOT of street cred. I trust his pick. As they have been saying for months, if you pick another defensive player, you are goingto stunt the growth of Sirvocea, Braswell and others. VERY smart and savy pick. I just hope our new pick is a little quicker on the upswing than Olave from the Aints and the 2nd year WR from the Fowlclowns.

  25. 407buc Says:

I like the pic.If godwin isnt ready we have quality backups if Godwin is ready he will be a good 3/4 for next season.Hopefully we get a corner in rd 2

  26. toopanca Says:

I really like Egbuka. But, picking him has consequences.

The defending Super Bowl Champions moved up one spot to take Jihaad Campbell. The Eagles just showed the world what they could accomplish with a group of less gifted linebackers.

The Eagles lost many defenders to free agency. But, they also have a wallet full of picks in this draft.

Campbell may well be the keystone who makes their return to the Super Bowl possible this year or next year.

Depending upon how the rest of the draft goes, I don’t think that I will want to bet against the Eagles for years to come.

Unfortunately, the Bucs only path to a championship will likely go through Philly for years to come. Campbell at 31 may be the steal of the draft making Tampa’s road much rockier for years to come.

  27. rrsrq Says:

The pick is a head scratcher—nothing against the player. We already know we can score, but there is only one ball on offense. How many times were we saying, defense get the ball back in a 3 and out, or when it’s 1st and 20 because the opponent’s offense got a holding penalty, yet they were still able to get a first down on 3rd and 15? The offense racked up a lot of yardage because they generally had to drive 75-80 yards per drive. Can he return punts?

  28. geno711 Says:

UCFGuy – at least you gave the guys you think the Bucs should have taken instead of Egbuka.

If Egbuka has a better career Mike Green and Donovan Ezeiruaku than you will give Licht credit. If either Mike Green or Donovan Ezeiruaku has a better career, I will give you credit.

    Thanks for the thoughts.

  29. CaliforniaBucsFan Says:

This is malpractice. He is a good WR but still the WR4. There were also good OTs and good QBs on the board. But of course, we don’t need those. We will not get all of our defensive needs (CB, S, LB, DE) met with quality players – much less starters.

  30. BigBoiBuc Says:

    @Josh

    Did Durham get cut?

  31. TDTB Says:

It would be sacreligous (and won’t happen for multiple reasons), but on paper trading both Godwin and Evans for 2nd and 3rd this year and some other picks (later round this year or earlier next) and moving Culp to the Evans role with Emeka in the Godwin role kinda makes some sense. With three or four picks in the 2nd and 3rd this year the Bucs could definitely shore up the defense. I keep looking at the safety from SC as a possible Urlacher type (played safety in college and transitioned to LB in the NFL) that would be interesting as a 2nd rounder.

  32. adam from ny Says:

yeah the fact that the eagles traded up to grab campbell after we passed on him put a lump in my throat…

and makes you question our pick a bit…

but keep in mind that he’s a linebacker with a bad shoulder from jump…

linebackers lead with the shoulder and he’s potentially damaged goods from the start

  33. Pewter Power Says:

Simms is many things but GM is not one of them. Maybe they wanted to go d tackle and it wasn’t there. The run on interior players was the biggest surprise for me

  34. Beeej Says:

Does this pick say something about Palmer?

  35. gotbbucs Says:

    Simms is absolutely right.

Take the actual player out of the equation, it was an absolutely horrible pick from a value standpoint. Barron, Starks, Campbell…all represented much more value, not only figuratively, but especially to the Bucs roster.

Licht will have to hit the rest of this draft out of the park just so he can afford to pay off the check he wrote for this little play thing that he wasted a 1st-round pick on.

  36. Fan of the South Says:

Being a copy cat league teams followed the road map of the 2024 Eagles and built up the Lines. Eagles needed Cornerbacks in 2024 and drafted two back to back because they needed them.

If you live along the Ocean and the weather is turning bad and your neighbors are all stacking sand bags around their property do you run down to Home Depot and get lumber to get that new deck going? No you go get what you need.

Panthers needed another receiver to pair with Legette and got better than last year thru the draft.

Falcons filled a defensive need and dove back in to get a second stud in the first round. Atlanta got way better than last year thru the draft

Saints needed to fill a hole that was opened due to retirement.

If you get passed the Division Green Bay got better and the Eagles got better still. McVay did his friend in ATL a solid with the extra 1st round pick. Maybe it was an effort to keep Tampa out of the playoffs all together. Cardinals and Seahawks would have loved Egbuka but they too filled a immediate need.

Don’t get me wrong it wont hurt to have Egbuka on the outside when a receiver gets racked up from a dangerous throw and hobbles off for a few plays or goes into the blue tent.

As it looks now Bucs stayed the same and their neighbors went out and got some sand bags. Could be they are sitting high and dry in 2025 and the Bucs are watching their lumber float away in the storm surge.

  37. Josh Says:

My post was already quite lengthy, so I wasn’t able to include every player, Sorry BigBoiBuc, are you a BIG Payne Durham fan??? However, to clarify, he was not cut. He will likely fill the same role as Cade Otton, with slightly better blocking but a slightly smaller pass-catching radius. Similar Hands.

  38. Destinjohnny Says:

Jason thinks are defensive talent is fine.
    I don’t see it
    No legit pass rusher
    Below average secondary
54 is on his farewell tour

  39. Bucs Guy Says:

Today he’s a #4 WR. You don’t draft a #4 WR in the first round when there is first rd talent on the board at positions of need.

Top 5 offense, bottom 5 defense.

  40. Couch Fan Says:

All this crying because you didnt get who you wanted LMAO. And I’m over here thinking Super Todd actually did something smart for once. Clearly he has no clue how to fix the defense so he drafted to the teams strength. Offense, offense, offense. Only way we will win is if we score on every possession.

  41. Durango 95 Says:

**Yes, many people see Egbuka’s ceiling as that of a guy who will be a hell of a No. 2 receiver, meaning he’s not a line up outside and beat a defense deep kind of player, or play with a giant catch radius.**
    —–
This (above) is the key question surrounding the pick. The only way to start to fill the shoes of the Mike and Chris is through drafting early. There is no getting around that. The hope behind spending a 1st round pick on a number one WR is to actually get a number one.

Not sure that they did that with this player. I’m not sure there even is a true number one WR in this draft. Travis Hunter might be. Beyond that who knows? What has Mike told JL about his plans for the future? Will he hang it up at the end of his contract ? J McMillan is probably a number two (hopefully) assuming his trajectory. So after last night we probably have two young number two WR’s. Guys like Mike don’t grow on trees. He is a generational player. Sure I like the pick and the player and expect him to be a stud for us in the years to come. But I’m not sure they have a future stud number on this roster, even after last night.

  42. DBS Says:

You know there are always going to be crybabies with any pick Licht and his team pick. Cry all you want because they couldn’t care less what you like. They run this team not you from your kitchens or armchairs.

I myself trust Licht to do what needs to be done. Other players will also be available during cut down.

  43. Cchead Says:

    Have the Camandoes punted yet?

  44. Scott Says:

It’s ok. We have Josh Hayes.

  45. Winny Testaverde Says:

This is akin to The Bucs drafting Hampton…the RB out of North Carolina. “But…but he’s the top rated player on our board and Bucky, Tucker & White won’t be around forever. We’ll win by out-scoring everybody!” After a night to sleep on it…it makes even less sense-not more. Less is more?

  46. TheBigSombreo Says:

Would be funny if the Bucs picked TE with the second pick.

I do agree with Simms a little… I think the Bucs could have traded back and still drated Egbuka… trading back would have gave them an extra pick.

    So yeah… ell

  47. Godlovesbucs Says:

He’s not a TRADITIONAL #1. But his comparisons are amon ra and Godwin. Those guys are more than capable of being a #1, albeit non traditionally.

  48. BigBoiBuc Says:

@ Josh – no it was a serious question. I usually take most of the off-season off these sites and just noticed he wasnt mentioned and wanted to make sure I did t miss it. Thanks for clarifying ( and for being a smart A!) 🤪

  49. Confido75 Says:

Great pick! No complaints here. EE is a beast, highly intelligent and a great human being. JL did right here.

  50. Jake been there since the beginning Says:

I ain’t bitchin a bit, I like it. Bowles said something about a reciever before the draft like beginning of March. He said what at the owners meetings? You gotta score points to win. Brought in a hellcat reciever on a top 30 visit, and now showed us the pick. Let’s Go Jason Licht!!! Todd Bowles thank you for proving all the haters wrong, I been upset at times but we are human and the team is doing pretty awesome!!! Go Bucs!!!

  51. Josh Says:

I wasn’t being a smart a, I legit was curious if you’re a BIG fan of Payne Durham in stature and/or fandom, and if you’re being sincere. Like, I have a HUGE desire for Thor Griffith to be a Buccaneer. Do you want/think Payne should have more playing time? Do you feel he’s underused or underrated?”

  52. StickinUp4Centers Says:

To be fair, Commanders game would have been different had Sterling Shepard not dropped a 3rd down reception early on after the Bucs stopped the. Commanders first 4th down.

With another receiver like this, different ballgame

  53. Kirb Stomp Says:

Take a look at Mike Evans snap counts in games he played last year. He regularly plays 60-70% of the snaps while other elite receivers play 90%. He is not getting any younger. This was a good pick.

  54. Godlovesbucs Says:

The rest of the draft needs to fill d.

It is MUCH EASIER to replace lavonte in the 2nd-3rd.
It is much easier to get a cb in the 2nd-3rd.

This shows they are comfortable with reddick, diaby, braswell, nelson, kancey and co. That is the other position that is tough to replace in later rounds.

  55. unbelievable Says:

    It comes down to this:

Let’s say about 2 years from now, and for the next 7 years after that, this guy averages 900 – 1100 yards per season and 8 – 9 touchdowns. And also happens to be a locker room leader… is that not worth a 1st round pick?

At the end of the day, I would say yes. Though I also concur that for a 1st round WR, you want a guy who can truly stretch the field and beat defenses. I’m not sure if EE is that guy…

  56. Pmike Says:

I like when the team drafts for the future instead of for short term needs. Of course there are defensive needs, but also big questions marks around Braswell and diaby. If those boys explode this year, our defense looks much different at the LB position.

  57. BuucccNASTY Says:

Would you consider Amon Ra or JSN #2 WRs in the NFL? IF so, please sign me up for more #2 WRs lol

  58. Aqualung Says:

Sapp was right. Bucs fans are among the dumbest in sports.

  59. Lord Cornelius Says:

If he’s a clone of Godwin that is worth a R1 pick.

And a lot of high end WR2’s make more than top OG’s, top RB’s, and other positions drafted high.

I wanted DE or CB. This guy is the #3 WR now and it feels like a luxury but maybe 1 year from now we won’t be thinking the same thing.

  60. LANshark Says:

First – EE is not limited to a WR#2 – he played there because he COULD, and Marvin Harrison was better outside and not as good inside. EE can play outside – if and when we need him to do that. And yeah, this was a ‘future’ pick too, but takes a lot of the pressure off Godwin returning early and getting hurt again.

Second, there are a LOT of good players still available, including both of the edge rusher’s that everybody is interested in. Maybe we trade up and go get one?

This tells me they are very high on Reddick, and on Braswell developing, as well as Kancey playing a whole season. The only real remaining holes are CB and ILB, and maybe S – and there are deep options in all of those positions.

Let it play out – by Sat evening we’ll all be happy with the results.

  61. Boltsfan17 Says:

The fact Bowles and Licht are both still here speaks volumes. Drafting a slot WR in the first round with a defense as awful as the current makes complete sense. Franchise is going nowhere.

  62. Winny Testaverde Says:

    Aquabung:

Yourself included? Passionate-yes. Sarcastic like myself ? You bet! Hopefully the 4th receiver will make the difference in the air tight games. QB pressures don’t cut it in the playoffs.

  63. BigBoiBuc Says:

@Josh – BIG fan of all the Bucs. So he would be included. I like what he did in the playing time he had. Same with Culp. I’m happy with our TE room and our WR room.

  64. ChiBuc Says:

💯 agree with Simms. Nice and safe. Yippee. Why get on the thrilling roller coaster when the dependable merry-go-round is right there? A WR2…and a WR3+ on most draft boards

  65. Simeon4HOF Says:

    Welcome to Tampa EE

  66. unbelievable Says:

LOL Bucs fans so short sighted… plenty of defensive talent left in the draft.

I don’t think Simms knows wtf he is talking about. How does Gruden say he has returner ability and simms say he’s not a YAC guy. Makes no sense to me. I’ve read this kid has returned punts for TD’s in the past so how does that not translate to YAC? The truth lies somewhere in the middle
