Operation Edge Rush

March 16th, 2024

Get. Him.

Either the Bucs don’t give a damn about an edge rush or they think the most important position on a defense is trivial.

That’s the only conclusion Joe can come up with for the total inaction of the Bucs not addressing an edge rush so far in the first week of legal tampering/free agency.

On Monday, there were all sorts of options. The Bucs either chose not to get an edge rusher, or lowballed teams/agents on offers — which if true speaks to how the organization may not value the position.

Yesterday, one of the very few legitimate options left was Eagles edge rusher Josh Sweat. He reworked his contract with the Eagles so he is staying put.

Right now with one exception, the only options left are Robert Ayers and Will Clarke-types. You know, dumpster diving.

Haason Reddick is still out there. The past four seasons he has had no less than 11 sacks. What is wrong with that? Yeah, Philadelphia may have upgraded with their moves but they can be picky. The Bucs aren’t as lucky on the defensive line.

Don’t give Joe the noise that the Bucs can’t afford Reddick. He can be had rather inexpensively since he has but one more season on his contract.

Over the years, including this past week, Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht has done a wonderful job finding ways to bring back all his valued free agents. That’s absolutely fantastic. However, Joe fears all that hard work and effort in recent days will be lost in the wash with quarterbacks having time in the pocket to order a pizza.

Joe doesn’t care if you have Jalen Ramsey at corner, you give a quarterback in the NFL time, he will burn you.

Right now the Bucs are putting a sh!t ton of pressure on a second-year guy like YaYa Diaby to magically transform into Shaq Barrett circa 2019. One reason, a big reason, why Shaq went nuts in 2019? He had Jason Pierre-Paul on the other side of the defense to take heat off him.

Does Joe Tryon-Shoyinka look like JPP to you?

Hope is not a reliable strategy.

Hope is an evil four-letter word.

it’ll be really odd if we have no pass rush this year…

and philly moves DW to edge and he has like 15 sacks

  2. George R Says:

Joe, remember JPP was traded for at the start of Free agency. I’m sure JL has a plan. Give him a few more weeks.

  3. Lt. Dan Says:

R-E-L-A-X joe’s. Yea edge rush is super important. We have Vea on the inside, Kancey, Ya-Ya, Watts and probably a couple of draft pick options. “Every little thing – gonna be alright”.

  4. Bigbucfan90 Says:

I think we are trying to focus on deals for AWJ and wirfs so we can create more cap space to go trade for a dominant edge rusher, I’m not opposed to seeing what chase young has in the tank if we can land him or clowney, but most of all we are probably getting that boy from Michigan to set the edge.

  5. Murph Says:

The Eagles will trade Reddick. The cost will be a second or third rounder or a combination of picks. Coach Bowles would love to sign the fellow Temple alum. Hopefully the Bucs can make it happen in the next day or two.

  6. K_bassuka Says:

Why would good players around the league would want to come to TB at a discounted rate when the team mainly cares about 1 very average player.

  7. Topdoggie Says:

Adam, I was thinking the other day what DW would look like as a OLB. Is it a size issue? He has the wheels.

  8. Darin Says:

Bowles blitzes if he has good edge rushers or not. Maybe he’s just all in on sending six every play next season. Don’t put anything past him

  9. D Cone Says:

Front lines on the Offensive and Defensive lines work as a unit. If you get great push up the middle your run game and pass rush benefit.

Edge Rushers eat well when QB’s get pressure up the middle. You think Mayfield would try to run over Vita?

Tough to get pressure when passes are coming out before 2 Mississippi. That style of offense helps QB’s that have a few short comings.

Take away the choice of a quick out, slant or screen and let the D Line work as a unit. If the QB is smart he will eat it or throw it away. If he’s dumb he will force the throws and get picked.

An average edge will look dynamic with good play from the middle and back end just like an average QB will look good with dynamic receivers that can get open quickly.

  10. Beeej Says:

They absolutely refuse to get trapped in a Darrelle Revis scenario

  11. heyjude Says:

Being optimistic. I guess we will have to see what is going on with Haason Reddick since the Sweat contract was reworked. Or maybe the draft – FSU Jared Verse, Miles Cole Texas Tech, and others.

Agree and thank you for the laugh – “Quarterbacks having time in the pocket to order a pizza.”

  12. VOT Says:

It appears they are gonna draft for it early by adding zero at the position

We have prepped at S,G, CB outside of our own FA

Gotta believe edge, ILB, C are top draft priorities and we have 4 in the top 92 do do it with

    Not worried at this point

  13. T. McGee Says:

I don’t think Bowles is on the coaching Mount Rushmore, but I think he’s accomplished enough that he knows what he needs to run a defense. A blog post lecturing the team on this just sounds like a panicking fan.

  14. Chuck D Says:

If only Jason Licht and his scouts were as informed about their roster as a blogger.

  15. Jim Says:

I said this before and I will say it again. The Bucs are going to trade one of their third round picks and their first rounders this year and next year to move up and get a pass rusher in the draft. That way, they have the second most premium position under a rookie contract for 5 years. Watch.

  16. Beejezus-belt Says:

Bowels puts up incredible sack numbers, but it is the consistent pass rush that is missing. The 29th pass defense just lost their best part-time cornerback to a trade with Detroit. Licht has signed the needed free agents from the roaster, this team is around.500 the last few years. So I’m not sure we have improved an average roster. The Falcons have improved their roster significantly. There are two weaknesses to this team, Pass rush and running the football. Oh let’s not mention this team is a “running” team that can’t seem to run more 3.5 yards a pop. I unfortunately do not see an improvement to this team.

  17. Just Saying Says:

JTS does have three names like JPP. THAT is where the similarities end.

    ^^^^^^^^^
This is like predicting Ke’Shawn Vaughn having 1,500 yards rushing in 2024. If it happens, just tip your cap and know it was a fluke.

  19. Joe in Michigan Says:

Joe: I’m with you 100% on this. The problem is, the Eagles believe (and they’re probably right) that they’ll be in the playoffs in 2024. Why would they trade Reddick to an NFC team that they might meet (again) in the playoffs, and not an AFC team? I would love for the Bucs to get Reddick, maybe if the Bucs offer a better draft pick than other teams (2nd Rounder?).

  20. Tampabaybucfan Says:

This is a conspiracy to drive Joe nuts….pure and simple….there can be no other good reason…….speaking of no good reason….how about lets remind Joe of the “Rock Star” getting rid of Michael Bennett for no good reason.

It looks like we will have to rely on the draft for our edge rusher….how has that worked out for us……

  21. dmatt Says:

It’s time to take action pronto n bring in a proven pass rusher like we did when we brought in JPP. JTS is no match for the teams we’ll face in 2024.
    Baltimore Ravens
    Philadelphia Eagles
    San Francisco 49ers
    Dallas Cowboy
    Detroit Lions
    Kansas City Chiefs
    Los Angeles Chargers

  22. SB~LV Says:

    Lol…

  23. Todd Says:

When I was young, I fantasized about the Farrah Fawcett poster in her one-piece on my bedroom wall.

Joe needed his door locked due to his Jack Youngblood poster hung on his ceiling! 😂

  24. Steven007 Says:

Adam, Devin White is a good blitzing linebacker. When he mans up against an offensive lineman one-on-one, he is most often stymied. He is not a good rusher when facing a lineman who knows he’s coming. We’ve seen that time and time again. So I wouldn’t worry about that.

  25. Doc Says:

Rumor around the N.F.L. is that players of color do want to come here to play, unless they can not go anywhere else. They are then over paided to come here. They have tried to sign edge rushers, but it takes two to tango.

  26. Usfbucs Says:

The reason Joe is worried about Edge rush coming from the draft is two fold. First we have to have another team willing to trade with us to move up. Second, it’s well known that most first year players don’t step in and dominate.

  27. Jackjacksfan Says:

Enough with the cry baby postings

  28. It's Corn Says:

Yeah your pass rush is only as good as your second best pass rusher.

I don’t see how they don’t address this in the first round of the draft if they don’t make any moves. It is a glaring weakness.

  29. Drunk Bucs Fan Says:

Is it just me or is Joe sounding like that girlfriend nobody wants?

  30. Buddha Says:

Wait for the draft. They don’t want to just sign someone else’s headache. Can’t fix everything in one year. Everyone needs pass. Rushers.

  31. Jerseybuc Says:

I think Reddick winds up in Dallas. We will address this position in the draft, and probably pick up a cheap option in free agency or when cuts are made as backup. Maybe the young players we have step up, but one thing about Bowles, we will get to the QB.

  32. Obvious Says:

    Usfbucs,

I believe you’re on to something with the trade partner point you made. Maybe the Eagles aren’t interested in working with us. We Did just embarrass the he!! out of them in the playoffs a couple of weeks ago…

We Are a nemesis of theirs after all. So if they don’t want to deal Reddick to us for a reasonable rate then I don’t expect Licht to pull the trigger on a outrageous ask.

Maybe Reddick simply isn’t for sale “to us”…

  33. Murph Says:

Coach Bowles would love to add fellow Temple alum Reddick. Asking price will be a 2nd or 3rd rounder. I am sure Bucs brain trust know they need edge rushers. Hopefully something happens soon.

  34. Mort Says:

Or they believe in developing their own guys like Markees Watts. Reddick isn’t cheap. He wants a new deal. You don’t trade for him and not give him one. This whole post is just a horrible take that ignores the economic realities of all of the options on the table here. Also, they’re probably gonna draft one in the first round, because they like developing their own. They’re pretty good at it.

  35. Jvato24 Says:

Let’s not forget, most of all our defense position coaches were in Arizona when they drafted Reddick, and he hails from Todd Bowles alma mater… He’s on their radar, may be waiting for price to drop out to be able to secure a 2 year deal to not make it a 1 year 3rd round pick rental

  36. 941Boltsfan Says:

Until he proves otherwise in Licht we trust! No one knew what we got when The Sack King came to town.

Here’s to hoping you have an overactive imagination.

Seriously tho, that would be an act of extreme desperation, very untypical of Jason.

They need their picks and if anything, they will trade back & acquire more

  38. Jerseybuc Says:

Reddick wants a new deal so they would have to trade n sign which is fine.
Chase young is still out there also. Rather have reddick though

Over paided? Is that like twitter pated?

Seriously tho, me thinks you makin’ crap up.

You mean like Whitehead & Hall?

Or any of the brothers who were undrafted free agents last draft class?

You mean in the past like Shaq, Suh & Fournette?

  41. Day 1-76 Says:

The same can be said for RB where all we have is a good receiver who happens to line up in the backfield and a backup who is good for about 3.4 ypc.

Most 1st yr. edge rushers (Ya Ya is an exception that you can’t expect two years in a row) don’t produce much so looking to the draft won’t help much this season.

  42. Ballwin Bucs Fan Says:

I think it’s pretty clear Licht thinks edge is a position too injury-prone to trust to anyone over 27 or so. See the rapid declines of JPP and Shaq for evidence of that. So he’s going to address edge in the draft. And at #26, yeah, the guy you’re gonna get likely isn’t an instant pro bowl starter. It is what it is. Hopefully Licht lands someone who is a pro bowler by year 3!

  43. Eric Says:

I’m. Sure Jason and Todd is monitoring JBF worrying about what JBF think

  44. Bucsfantim Says:

Almost assured we’lll be picking one with one of our first 2 picks. We’ll also see the development of Markees Watts ( Who I think is a hidden gem )

Likely next step is deals for Wirfs or Winfield to create cap and we take a chance on maybe a Clowney or Chase Young

  45. Buc4evr Says:

All in on Reddick or maybe Armstead? Still need to draft a C, LG, DT/DE and another LB or two.

  46. ^^mtn^^ Says:

Joes, the quickest way for me to leave here is to keep censoring my posts

  47. Brandon Says:

Didn’t JPP miss the first half of 2019 with a broken neck while Shaq was doing his most damage?

  48. ^^mtn^^ Says:

When there’s absolutely no reason to ………

  49. Proudbucsfan Says:

Well said Joe I was thinking the exact same way. We all know sometimes when a position is in need of attention JL can sit on his hands and go with what we got example when Jensen went down and marpet retired.

  50. Alanbucsfan Says:

Expensive Edge Rushers who don’t protect the Edge get beat in SB’s- see Bosa, 49ers

  51. Capt.Tim Says:

Joe is absolutely correct to be concerned.
Pass rusher is the 3rd most important player on a football team,
    Behind only QB and LT.
we absolutely have to be able to pressure opposing QBs, to win games.
And right now, we have no one.

Joe and I have been thru this exact nightmare before. The team had pretty good elements. But no pass rush. It was practically all we talked about in the comments. We kept expecting a move. None came. Team was horrible.
Next year, drafted 2 highly thought of rookies. Neither ever became an NFL pass rusher.
Finally, we traded for JPP(God Bless him), and it turned the defense around
    WITH THAT ONE SINGLE MOVE.

This Team needs(2) pass rushers. One may be a rookie- but we cant count count on rookies. We need an experienced QB hunter in here, in the worse way.

    The sooner the Better!

  52. Pelsbuc61 Says:

Idk, I like the Barton kid from Duke or Jackson Powers for center. Then Bucs can draft edge in 2 and 3rd round. Need to upgrade center as much as we need edge rusher.

  53. sweti_yeti Says:

This Joe is getting to be a broken record. Yeah, we get it. Frankly, I’m more interested in Jason Licht’s and Todd Bowles’ for addressing the issue. Just a guess, but trading for a large contract guy ain’t it. The big money has been spent to keep their best players.

  54. bucsfaninOregon Says:

    Stay away from Chase Young.

  55. stpetebucfan Says:

Not a killer draft for edge rushers but…from spots 15-30 Pff has 4 or 5 edge guys listed as first round picks. The Bucs may need to sweeten the pot a bit to move up a few spots if one of those guys drop at all.

The guy I see being promoted as the 2nd best pick in the draft in most mocks including PFF’s where they have Bama’s Turner 15th is FSU’s Jared Verse.

Where has all the Verse love been from our Nole fans? Is he not the real deal?

So Nole fans how much draft capital would you spend on perhaps the most important draft decision this year for the Bucs?

  56. Capt.Tim Says:

    The famed
Adrian Clayborne and Da’quan Bowers draft. Both flopped for us.
We had gone 10-6 the year before, but missed the playoffs.

Josh Freeman looked like the real deal( before discovering the nightlife)
Mike Williams looked like a great WR( ditto)
And we had a promising young Coach named Raheem Morris.

But the Lack of a pass rush killed that team, and the 2011 team.
Everything kind of imploded after that.

Morale of the story. Improve your Pass rush- or your QB and WRs will start partying 24-7, and our Coach will lose control of the team.

You can see why we are so WORRIED

  57. Mike Johnson Says:

Agree with Joe here. Bucs had better find a Pass Rush from somewhere. We lost 3..maybe 4 games because we did not have one. Some seem to think its not that important. It is. Joe Tryon has not, will not get the job done people. He is a one or two slash play a game type guy. I would pay Reddick. Man has a motor..PAY DA MAN!

  58. Bucfan1988 Says:

Licht may stay status who and think that he has gems that they’ve been coaching up…….Im thinking Ramirez & Watts ?????

Maybe they still try to work on Reddick after the draft??

  59. K2 Says:

The Bucs know they need to improve on the Edge. Bowles said that directly when interviewed. Paying the most in free agency hasn’t been a winning recipe. I agree we need a number 1 edge rusher, but to say the Bucs don’t understand that is false!

  60. Usfbucs Says:

We have talked about the censoring a ton. It is some bot they use on the site. Everyone gets censored from time to time. I often times find I get censored when I am posting from my pjone when only on my cellular connection. Then as soon as I am back on my WiFi in my home I don’t get censored any more.

  61. Paratrooper Buc Says:

I disagree that hope is evil. Hope can be a strategy to inspire. Hope needs a plan with willpower to execute bold action to make hope into a reality. The issue for us fans is we don’t know the plan. I see “trust in Licht” because he has a plan but “Bowles is bowels” because his plans (zone defense) suck on here. Both men affect the trajectory of the teams success. They may have hope but I can’t believe there isn’t a plan but you don’t want to reveal the plan as you tip your hand to the players you want which can drive the price up.

  62. Lakeland Steve Says:

I am sure the Bucs have a plan for the edge. Either a trade like they did with JPP or maybe draft an edge rusher. Don’t sell YaYa short,
I think he might have hit the rookie wall last year and besides bull rushes he didn’t seem to have a plan. He will be better this year,
    The question is how much?

  63. RagingBrisket Says:

The incessant whining isn’t going result in better pass rushers. Either Licht does his job well and addresses it or he doesn’t and the defense plays accordingly. I don’t understand the point of crying about it all day every day. Licht has some recent dline busts and is the reason we can’t rush the passer. Let’s hope he doesn’t try to address through the draft because he doesn’t know what he is looking at. OL or RB he is a bust making machine. Maybe let Bowles pick.

  64. MelvinJunior Says:

“Rather Inexpensively!?” WHAT!? So, you’re saying then, that WE… The BUCS right now, are Super Bowl Contenders & that they should be ‘ALL-IN’ by trading future assets for just a ‘one-year’ RENTAL, on a 30-year old DE!? Supposedly, he’s seeking a ‘long-term’ deal at OVER $20-MIL+ per season!!!! Yes, sign us up for that. Make a desperate move because you’re panicking… In the middle of MARCH. That sounds like a grrrreat plan. Thankfully, we have yet to see this FO panic… They know their place and where we are right now, as a Team & organization. I trust they’ll do (at least what ‘they think’) is best for the future of the franchise… And, that is continuing to build with youth, speed, hunger, etc. while staying smart within the cap and trying to win a few games as they do it. Then, be ready to POUNCE when the ‘time’ arrives to do so.

  65. Buchead Says:

Dude, take a children’s benadryl or something! You’ve been whining like a spoiled brat about filling the Edge Rusher gap on your timeframe, despite all the great moves the Bucs have made this offseason. The Bucs are clearly going to draft a Center and Edge Rusher, if they don’t get elite starters for those positions through trade or free agency. It does no good to go after other team’s rejects if they will suck or have a short lifespan.

  66. sweti_yeti Says:

As of earlier this week, they ha 7 million in cap space. So, as we’re still trying to dig out from the leftovers of the “all in” cap debacle of a few years ago, we have this Joe pounding the table to go in the other direction. There is a plan, but there are 4 months to go before training camp, so we may not see a pass rusher very soon. It could come in the draft.

  67. Simeon4HOF Says:

Another Pass Rusher is coming. JL knows Shaq is gone and that the team’s biggest need is another Edge. It is a positive we found a 3rd Rd gem last year. Truly think he will be a star .. for him to show what he did as a Rookie was exceptional. Strongly feel that is something to celebrate. JL re-signing everyone, bringing back JW and adding key depth signings exceeded expectations of what needed to be done. It is a very good day in Tampa Bay.

Just as important as the position of OLB is, is the enormity of the risk of overspending for the wrong guy at the position. It’s so much better that we have virtually the entire rest of the team intact and star studded and are essentially just that one 2nd Edge Rusher away. JL appears to be being smart being not being hasty. Willing to bet the Bucs go after a top Edge in Rd 1, sign a veteran that fits later after more cuts are made, and possibly even draft 2. It’s going to be OK, we are back to the position where we are just a JPP or Rice away. It’s awesome that JL built and kept the core of this team intact this year to get where we are

  68. Simeon4HOF Says:

If I’m JL tho .. I go get the guy. Swing that JPP like trade, or trade a future pick. Move up in Rd #1 .. do not wait for one of the top 4 to fall. Don’t reach in that range like we did with JTS .. it’s how we got in this mess in the first place. JL must address this position so he must have a plan. Bucs should approach this like they are just that Edge away. Because minus a stud C and RB2 they really are

  70. Defense Rules Says:

Joe … ‘One reason, a big reason, why Shaq went nuts in 2019? He had Jason Pierre-Paul on the other side of the defense to take heat off him.’

Uhhh, I think it went a little deeper than that Joe. Shaq also had Vea & Suh manning the DLine beside & in front of him. If you’re the average OLine, who do you double-team when facing a DLine like that? And if you do double-team someone, who overpowers you in the 1-on-1’s?

JPP was no small man (6’5″ & 275 lbs). Neither was Vea (6’4″ & 347 lbs … and more). Neither was Ndamukong Suh (6’4″ & 313 lbs). Nor Rakeem Nunez Roches (6’2″ & 305 lbs) or Will Gholston (6’6″ & 281 lbs or more). Even Shaq is no midget (6’2″ & 250 lbs), although he was small (but quick) compared to the others. Those 6 players AVERAGED 6’4″ & 295 Lbs 9with Shaq bringing the average down considerably).

Who you play with matters. That’s why Reddick (6’1″ & 240 lbs) concerns me. IF we signed him, he’d be playing with Vea (6’4″ & 347 lbs), and Hall (6’6″ & 283 lbs), and JTS (6’5″ & 259 lbs) and Kancey (6’1″ & 281 lbs) and Diaby (6’4″ & 270 lbs). Those 6 players AVERAGED 6’4″ & 280 Lbs. IOW it’s a much lighter line, and also a less talented line IMO. I wouldn’t expect Reddick to get the same results here that he got in Philly where he was surrounded by some beasts.

Personally I think that Jason Licht & Todd Bowles are perfectly willing to roll the dice on the draft. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see us use 2 of the Top-4 picks (Rnd 1, Rnd 2 & 2 Rnd 3’s now) on 2 DE/OLBs, in the hope that we hit big-time on 1.

  71. Joe Says:

Dude, take a children’s benadryl or something! You’ve been whining like a spoiled brat about filling the Edge Rusher gap on your timeframe, despite all the great moves the Bucs have made this offseason.

And will CONTINUE to do so relentlessly until this major issue is resolved. Silence is compliance. Joe is not one to “lay back and enjoy it.”

Don’t like it? Then this site likely isn’t for you. Am sure at Buccaneers.com they will find some nobody on the practice squad who is the next Deacon Jones which will satisfy you.

  72. BelleGladeBuc Says:

Best edge rusher available in Round 1 should be the Bucs pick in this draft.

Round 2 pick up either Frazier or Van Pren at center.

Those are the Bucs two weakest positions that need to be addressed in this draft.

  73. 76 bucsfan46 Says:

I agree Joe, I would give up one of our 3rds for Reddick. It’s a no brainer.

  74. 1#bucsfan Says:

Get em JOE. only bad thing I gotta say about Jason after 10 years is why the hell not are you getting a legit/proven pass rusher. I don’t care about the kicker in the 2nd rd pick or some of the poor FA agent signings over the years. Jason is a great GM idc what people say but we need a freaking pass rusher and JTS is not the answer and we don’t know about YAYA yet. NO HOPE IN FOOTBALL

  75. NJbucs23 Says:

    No on this

he wants a raise we cant afford him

  76. Gipper Says:

Might have a shot at this guy( Laiatu Latu EDGE) picking late in first round. He is the best pure pass rusher in the 2024 draft. To be sure to get him, need to package 1st & 2nd picks to move up. Maybe a team picking 1-10 would go for this deal.

  77. Usfbucs Says:

The top edge rushers in this draft are being projected to all be gone by the Bucs pick more often than not. To land one of the top projected rookies the Bucs will likely have to trade up because as has been pointed out everywhere pass rushers are the second or third most important position in football.

  78. Simeon4HOF Says:

Exactly .. but the top 4 Edge Rushers will fall a little bit due to a run on QBs , WRs, CBs, and OTs. The Bucs will almost positively have to trade up to get one of them, but not into the Top 10

  79. Simeon4HOF Says:

JL got us Shaq and JPP .. he will get someone to go with Diaby. Now is the time tho

  80. Woodenman Says:

We should get Chase Young for cheap, he’s young and could surprise us learning schemes from Bowles. If anything would be a young hungry dude that provides depth.

  83. Cbell96825 Says:

Is Chandler Jones still crazy if not I’m sure he could be had for cheap

Joe says this: Does Joe Tryon-Shoyinka look like JPP to you?
Hope is not a reliable strategy.
Hope is an evil four-letter word. **** so this is a big part of why coming to this website is fun. Joe really knows how to tell it. Love it!

I agree Joe keep up the “Whining “ all you want. Hopefully someone on the Bucs see it. For all those saying, “Yea, they are gonna do it because of Joe Bucs” or something similar, this is the Bucs site with the most fan comments as far as I can tell. Sometimes ot absolutely DOES move the scale. I hope each post gets 200+ comments moving forward and if we all agree, you never know.
Having said that, I’m NOT sold on Reddick at $20 million for the same reason DR mentioned. We still desperately need an upgrade for Hall.
This is why I think Darius Robinson could be a steal. Big bodied guy who can also move inside on passing downs. You talk about pressure up the middle. I like Bryon Murphy as well. It would pay huge dividends even with our own guys to get either one of those if the top edge rushers are gone. My favorite yet, would be a stud WR though if we would just upgrade through FA. You can’t tell me of all the FA deals out there, that Wirfs and Winfield aren’t the SAFEST gambles. They ate both young and near the top at their positions. They would never even see year 5 in all reality so kicking the can is less risky. That could create your $20 million alone. Just get it done Licht. The fans have your back!!!

    @BillyBucco

    Agree with you on Darius.

He could be a Cam Jordan type player.

Might be a bit of a reach at #26 compared to the other talent that will be there

Jason light is not an idiot he’s got plans whether it’s through the draft or a trade or the players that are already on the team they know more about the players than we ever will

I’ll take Attila the Hun and “The Kraken” for the win Alex.
