Mike Evans Beasts To Victory, History

November 12th, 2023

More history nears.

What a monster day for the greatest receiver in Buccaneers history!

Yeah, the drops came. Last Joe checked, Tom Brady threw his share of ugly interceptions in big games (see Green Bay), and Michael Jordan banked a few foul shots, as well.

Mike Evans beasted his way to 6 catches for 143 yards and a touchdown this afternoon to help the Bucs overwhelm the Titans and up Tampa Bay’s record to 4-5.

The wild thing is that Evans is having one of the best seasons of his stellar 10-year career. Through 9 games of the 2023 season, Evans now has 43 catches for a whopping 737 yards and 6 touchdowns. He’s on pace for about 1,370 yards receiving this season.

Of course, Evans will add to his all-time record of 10 consecutive seasons of 1,000 yards or more to start a career if he can get only 263 yards in the Bucs’ final eight games.

It should be a very easy task if he stays healthy. Heck, it should be easy if Evans misses a few games.

Joe also loves how Evans had a Hall of Fame day on the same field as stud receiver DeAndre Hopkins, a Hall of Fame hopeful, had a quiet afternoon for the Titans.

    Stud.

Even with those 2 bad drops (the end zone one was very bad)

Still the best offensive weapon we have, without question. Future HOFer

  2. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

Wow already shut down game posts!

  3. Buc4evr Says:

Todd is a total idiot. Didn’t even try to get the third down.

Mike Evans the GOAT! Go Bucs!!!!

  8. unbelievable Says:

@Buc4evr – he coaches not to lose, instead coaching to win.

At least we’re back to beating bad teams again.

  9. LongSeason Says:

No Buc running back has over 3 ypc. The problem is our line cannot run block. Game after game. They are a bunch of softies.

  10. realistic-optimistic Says:

Mike is awesome. Can’t imagine letting him walk. That would be a sad day for this franchise.

  12. ElioT Says:

Worst running game I’ve ever seen/imagined.

San Francisco is going to destroy this team next Sunday.

  13. Buc4evr Says:

Yeah no running game at all, but give the Bucs credit they never give up on it. lol.

  14. Buc4evr Says:

SF is going to kill this defense. The offense better have a good passing attack.

  15. ElioT Says:

Lol @JTS sorry a** on the bench

  16. Rod Munch Says:

BAKER MAYFIELD WITH A CAREER DAY! 270 YARDS AND 2 TDS! AMAZING! MVP! SUPER BOWL READY!

    #TEAMPOSITIVE!

  17. Jerseybuc Says:

Evan call a pass little after the 3rd quarter? Hate the scared football! Def. Feels good to win but that’s not going cut it

  18. Tbbucs3 Says:

Rod Munch thinks 270 Yards and 2 TDs is a bad stat line….

You can’t make this idiocy up!

  19. realistic-optimistic Says:

Tbbucs3, he was hot and cold. Not going to bash his overall performance, but he badly underthrew Mike on a gimme TD, and threw a terrible INT into triple coverage.

  20. HC Grover Says:

No blunders works wonders….good solid game.

  21. NaplesBucsFan Says:

    Joe, it’s 9 games

  22. Silent Observer Says:

Just dropping in to say that Rod Munch’s username is the textbook definition of psychological projection. That is all.

  23. #99 the big fella Says:

Lol Rod , that did make me laugh

  24. Rod Munch Says:

Who said Mayfield was bad today – he had a career day!

  25. MadMax Says:

Evans showed up after his f’ups….all good. But bottom line is we cant afford him since he’s asking too much…everyone knows that.

Marvin Harrison jr and Bo Nix…..trade it to make it happen…whatever it takes…sign Mayfield and have Bo sit under him for a year…..and yeah, this is after we fire Bowles!

  26. BA’s Red Pen Says:

Kyle Track just executed the best kneel down in the history of professional football. His form was impeccable. The poise in which Kyle clearly exuded to manage the huddle, on that one play, has never been seen before on planet earth.

  27. JK Says:

A couple of C hairs from a 6-3 record……put some respect on Bakers name!

Or be a douc*e “fan” and continue with your hate

  28. Show Me the TDs Says:

Tbbucs has been kneeling for Baker, all day.

  29. Marine Buc Says:

Mike Evans – making the tough catches while dropping the easy ones…

    I will never understand it.

  30. JK Says:

No Rod Munch Bskers best day was AFC divisional round in Arrowhead you absolute CLOWN

  31. Tbbucs3 Says:

Not to worry Trask fans, at least you get your Jameis pick!

  32. Rod Munch Says:

JK – You need to win the game to have a career down, dipstick.

Wow, all I did was compliment Mayfield today and you nutjobs are still angry.

    Very mentally unbalanced.

FREE KYLE TRASK. IF he can execute the game plan so effortlessly then just imagine the future? Now we finally know CONCLUSIVELY why Brady didn’t want him to back him up

He KNEW Kyle was BETTER than He ever was. He knew he lost in training camp to Him EVERY year. Thats why Brady finally retired

    FACT!

  34. JK Says:

Rod am currently unbalanced with you I can’t fn stand you

  35. Tony Marks Says:

    Rod Munch Says:

Wow, all I did was compliment Mayfield today and you nutjobs are still angry.

    Very mentally unbalanced.

    —-

It doesn’t work that way in Psychiatry Mush. Just because you have been a patient for many years doesn’t translate to expertise in the field…lolol

  36. Bucs'n'Bucks Says:

Bucs win!!! Thanks to Evans for doing his part! What a great day for him.

Again…..see how to make comments related to the article?

  37. Miller5252 Says:

I like how the cbs morning show was calling Evans a hall of famer before the game even went down. After the game, they said he just proved their points from earlier in the day that he IS a hall of fame player!!! I know Ira said he’s not there yet, but after he gets his 10th consecutive 1000 yard year he really doesn’t need anything else to prove he is a hall of fame player! Last thing, he’s a hall of fame player without even talking about what he’s done off the field. I get none of that stuff matters to the Hall, but it does matter because of what type of person he is!! Case closed!! Get that gold jacket fitted for the man!!

  38. Bojim Says:

Evans first ballot HOF. Baker did great with no running game.

  39. Craig Says:

We should still introduce Baker to Godwin, they haven’t seemed to have met yet.

Evans is playing so well that other teams will notice and throw more coverage on him. So far double teams don’t seem to affect him, so a safety hovering might not either, but it will get Godwin even more open than he has been.

  40. BakerBucs Says:

we have about 7 people on this site that r just complete jerk offs why u on this site I for 1 don’t want u r dumb I mean dumb comments plz go to another site esp munch mouth u r worthless & suck not Mayfield

  41. Rod Munch Says:

Evans on pace for 1400 yards and 12 TDs, and you had retards during the game saying he sucks and needs to be cut. LOL! The ‘hot takes’ of the idiots in comments are always stunningly stupid.

  42. Rod Munch Says:

BakerBucs – LOL! I literally haven’t said a single thing about Mayfield today and you triggered dopes are still angry and finding a reason to be angry.

You nutbags are just as insane as the Trask idiots who spent the entire offseason annoying everyone.

  43. BakerBucs Says:

long season says softies that’s why u r wife ordered u Viagra u haven’t been hard in years

  44. BakerBucs Says:

Plz reread all u r posts for the entire season starting when Mayfield got signed up sarcasm is negative & everyone on this site can’t b wrong & u r rite ask u r wife I’m sure that poor lady outs up with her share of u r garbage

  45. BakerBucs Says:

  46. Conner50 Says:

It’s crazy all the hate trask gets from you guys commenting when the dude is actually pretty good just won’t never start at tampa cause the coaches aren’t actually competent to be real. But baker has done a decent job this season for how bad the line is but baker or trask I root for my team go bucs

  47. Tbbucs3 Says:

” The ‘hot takes’ of the idiots in comments are always stunningly stupid.”

LoL yes Rod Munch, lots of the comments are stupid, starting with yours!

  48. BradyGronk Fan Says:

Evans back on track to a probowl season.

  49. orlbucfan Says:

What a bunch on here. Bucs win, snap a 4 game losing streak, beat a backup QB, and it’s the same negative bloviating. I’m glad ME13 had his usual good day. When I saw him juggle and drop that sure TD, I started wondering about his hammy. 49ers don’t faze me. It’s about time Bucs beat them, and so what if they’re at home!

  50. Rod Munch Says:

Tbbucs3 – a ‘I know you are, but what am I’ comeback. LOL! Grade A material.

  51. Loyal fans Says:

They can easily afford Mike NEXT season. They have plenty of cap space. They just didn’t have it this season. Mike will be a Buc forever
