If anyone ever took the time (and had the access to all the film), Mike Evans and the Hall of Fame would be spoken about in the same breath less often. Here’s a truth. It hasn’t been Mike overcoming poor QB play. Even terrible NFL offenses total about 3,500 yards passing. It has been Mike Evans being the only credible receiver most of his career.
Hopefully he makes up for it as he has proven he can do as well. But great…great doesn’t drop so many easy balls.

That offensive performance, however, was complete trash. Baker has to do better. To his credit, for the most part this year, he has stepped up when they needed him to. So lets see it happen in this 2nd half.

Assuming that the final score ends up being 20-6, that means the defense gave up 17 points (1st INT was well within FG territory, which is what our defense held them to). That’s out average per game. It’s the offense that didn’t hold up its end of the deal.

Of course the refs picked up the flag – just liked they picked up a flag on 3rd down earlier in the game which would have given the Bucs a 1st i the Lions redzone, and just like they didn’t pickup the flag on the Evans offensive PI when both guys got their feet tangled, just like they haven’t called the Lions o-line who have held on literally every play.
