Rachaad White, YouTube Star

May 5th, 2023

Buccaneers running back Rachaad White.

Buccaneers running back Rachaad White launched a YouTube channel yesterday and Joe had to check it out.

Joe learned a lot, or nothing, depending on your persepective.

It’s been clear since Day 1 in the NFL that White loves the spotlight. He does a lot of interviews and is very kind with media, likely more than any Bucs rookie since Gerald McCoy.

White’s YouTube debut lets you tag along for a couple of hours in White’s world.

First, he’s seen dancing but the music isn’t audible, presumably it’s pumping through his AirPods. Then White plays “eeny-meeny-miney-mo” over his sneaker collection and chooses basketball shoes because he’s going to the gym.

White said he dreamed of being “a real hooper” but now he’s a YouTuber.

White then advises viewers that “there’s nothing wrong with shopping at Old Navy and Ross” and that he was called “Juice” as a kid.

Fans are treated to watching White shop for a basketball and a mouthpiece at a sporting goods store before he arrives at a gym to put his NFL career at risk  to play pickup basketball.

Along the way, White tells fans that his mom taught him not to play with his food.

The video closes with White playing on the court and talking to guys he just met at the gym. White isn’t much of a “hooper” and his video editor treated viewers to several missed shots.

Anyway, Joe wanted to support White’s new endeavor. Subscribe to his channel and check it out. Joe can’t wait for the next video.

One of the great mysteries of last season was why White only had 1 standout game and then we never saw it again after he became the starter.

Huge disappointment. Hope he’s better next year.

  2. Bojim Says:

    Rookie last year. NP

  3. Buc1987 Says:

If he’s all they got at RB they’re in trouble.

It’s going to be one crappy season anyways…

  4. Steven007 Says:

I don’t think there’s any way you can call a rookie running back who is picked to be a backup to the number four overall pick in the draft a disappointment. Behind our woefully inefficient offensive line, he did just fine. Certainly showed flashes here and there. Better line play should lead to better results. Not to mention his second year in the league where he knows what to expect. And with the free agent running back from Syracuse who also has some real juice, he can’t rest on his laurels. Arrow should be pointed up for him.

  5. Marine Buc Says:

I noticed there are a few decent running backs still looking for teams:

    – Zek Elliot (27)
    – Kareem Hunt (27)
    – Marlon Mack (27)
    – Kenyon Drake (29)

The Bucs might want to bring in one more vet to compete if we are hoping to run the football with any success this season…

lol what did I just watch

  7. Dooley Says:

    @Lord

Brick laying w/o mortar lol White’s jumper made me cringe

  8. TOMMY MORDUE Says:

I WANTED KAREEM HUNT WHEN CHIEFS RELEASED HIM, BUT HTHE BROWNS SIGNED HIM INSTEAD..AUSTIN ECKLER IS DISGRUNTLED WITH THE CHARGERS..MAYBE SOMETHING CAN BE WORKED OUT WITH HIM, HE’S & AWESOME PLAYER & NEARLY UNSTOPPABLE NEAR THE GOAL LINE..

  9. Marine Buc Says:

    @ TOMMY

I also like K. Hunt. He would probably be more affordable than Austin Eckler – who is looking for a big money deal…

  10. Antonio Brown's Shrink Says:

Don’t quit your day job Rashaad

  11. Buc1987 Says:

Tommy you WANTED KAREEM HUNT FOR WHAT …THE BUCS? THE BUCS CAN’T AFFORD SQUAT THIS SEASON.

  12. Not Says:

How do young people have time to watch that cr@p ? I watched 5 minutes of that b0ring @ss video and couldn’t take it anymore.

  13. Marine Buc Says:

    @ 1987

If the Bucs restructure Mike Evans’ contract they could easily afford Kareem Hunt and a solid QB3.

  14. unbelievable Says:

Using the word “star” pretty loosely here, huh? LOL

Have y’all ever interviewed him or gotten to know him? Not sure he “loves the spotlight.” More so, he’s an authentic guy with an inspiring story who is gracious with the media – which has lead to features. It’s cool you’re supporting his YouTube channel – always worth seeing who these folks are off the field.

CAPS LOCK GUY STILL HASN’T FIGURED OUT HOW THE EFFING KEYBOARD WORKS!!!

Many times. Sure wish he was productive on the field as he is with the Fourth Estate.

  18. GenocideD Says:

Just focus on getting better maybe?

  19. JonBucFan Says:

Man….There’s allot of haters on this site! I saw great flashes from white last year. To a point, I was questioning why we kept “tippy toes” playoff Lenny in for most of the game? As cars Mayfield goes, like it or not it was a really good pick up by the Bucs! We got him dirt cheap and he has the capability (if coached right) to win this year! The players we picked up are going to contribute. We will be younger, stronger, and most importantly faster. For those that want the team to tank just so we can get a shinny new quarterback….I ask how that worked for most of the teams?? A few stars but more are leaning towards NFL busts Marinovich, Heath Shuler, Russell, Leaf, Schlichter types of players. How did Winston work out for us? No Bucs fan want to see him back wearing pewter. I personally think we will be better this year than 2022.

Oh no, he did a video, and GRRRRR that makes me angry! GRRRR!!!! DOING VIDEOS IS WHAT SOFT PEOPLE DO WHO LIKE ICE CREAM!!! GRRRRR!!!

Don’t even get me started on if he likes comicbooks or not. GRRRRR!!!!! SO ANGRY!!!!

Do more than run him up the gut on first down into 8 man fronts, and maybe he’ll be more productive. Maybe the new OC will use playaction passes more than once a month, that should help as well.

  22. FairMinded Says:

Personally I liked his rookie season. He showed himself to be a patient runner, most times finding a slow developing hole and squirting through for a reasonable gain. It was a trait I haven’t seen in a Bucs RB in recent memory

  23. FairMinded Says:

Also proved he’s a reliable receiver out of the backfield. Kid is young but clearly talented. Let’s see what this offense looks like with new OC and beef up front

  24. Goatfarmer Says:

He’s done. Gone the Shaun BurgerKing route. More interested in YouTube and podcasting that playing football.

    STFU and produce, Icehole.
