Cam Jordan: The New Lost Decade For Bucs Is Here

February 5th, 2023

Saints DE Cameron Jordan.

In the mind of a hated Bucs rival, Bucs fans best be prepared to embrace the suck. Because a new chapter of the Lost Decade is upon us.

And that man is defensive end Cam Jordan of the slimy Saints. Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network caught up with Jordan at the skills competition of the Pro Bowl games in Vegas and asked Jordan his thoughts about Tom Brady being out of the NFC South for good.

Jordan isn’t exactly crying about Brady retiring but did give Brady his props. And then he offered his thoughts on the impact of Brady retiring on the Bucs.

“Tampa Bay will probably go back to where Tampa Bay has been,” Jordan said.

And that means it’s back to Buccaneers Cove, which for way too many years during the Lost Decade meant anchored in last place in the NFC South.

Joe isn’t going that far. The NFC South stinks. No team has a quarterback since the slimy Saints appear to want to wash their hands of Mr. Entertainment, Jameis Winston.

If the Bucs can land an experienced quarterback, they could win the division again. But who will win that tug of war, Todd Bowles who wants to win and save his job, or the front office which probably wants a rebuild?

This decision likely lands in the laps of the referee crew known as Team Glazer.

  1. BucsFan81 Says:

Screw this guy and the dirty saints. They play dirty. Someone ask cam Jordan how he feels about his boy Lattimore getting lit up by Mike Evans every year.

  2. #99 the Big fella Says:

Cam has a big mouth.. His team sucked ..He really hates the bucs.

  3. Winky Says:

That was a good dig. Gotta give Cam credit. In terms of historical probabilities,
hes not on the wrong side of that statement.

Here’s to our Bucco’s proving otherwise and shoving it right up Cam’s a**!

  4. Winky Says:

    GO BUCS!!!

  5. Bojim Says:

    Poor Cam.

  6. Vlad The Impaler Says:

    He’s not wrong

  7. Tye Says:

No RESPECTABLE OC prospects, QB unknown, One of the leagues worst HCs…
Really not seeing where Cam Jordan could possibly be mistaken!

  8. Tye Says:

    Oh, and just saying:

‘since the slimy Saints appear to want to wash their hands of Mr. Entertainment, Jameis Winston.’

    Lasted 4 years longer than I thought…

  9. Proudbucsfan Says:

He needs a hard punch in the face. Hypocrisy knows no bounds. Where have the saints ever been without Drew Brees?

  10. Proudbucsfan Says:

Looks like the NFC South division winner will only need to win eight games a season the next 10 years.

  11. westernbuc Says:

Cam Jordan hasn’t done anything but pad personal stats. Saints will regress

  12. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

He isn’t say anything different from what half of everyone here are saying.

  13. Stanglassman Says:

I rather have Jameis back than Trask or Gabbert. I rather have Jameis the any of the 49er or raider rejects.

  14. The Anomaly Says:

    But is he wrong? No.

  15. steele Says:

Well, Cam, the Saints have been back where Saints have been, without Payton, Brees and the other Bountygates. And guess what, Cam, Bucs have a Lombardi. Where’s yours?

All that said, Cam is right. It is going to be bleak until and unless the Bowles era is over, and a real reboot can begin.

  16. Bring back the lawn chairs Says:

‘Tampa bay will go where tampa bay has been’.
Guys like Jensen and Winfield are certainly gonna have their hands full trying to escape that foreshadowing for sure.
I mean we’ve had an oline that hated to block this year, and a secondary that loves to completely blow coverages even in the playoffs… this year.
    In spite big money contracts.
How does a team reconcile these traits?

Think about it. The newbies just drafted see a team that heavily rewards bad football.

  17. dmatt Says:

That comment made by cam jerk should be enough to motivate Bucs players n coaching staff. Even the commentator was laughing. Honestly we were the laughing stock of the nfl from 76-78, then 83-97, and again from 2009-2019. I could recall times when Deon Sanders n others would make a mockery of the Bucs during Sunday night highlights n on weekly talk shows. If this is what the organization is preparing to settle for (being mocked, no respect, n take kind to a losing culture) then sell the team.

  18. HC Grover Says:

The Stanks and Bucs will battle for the bottom of NFC South. Rivalry will continue.

  19. ATLBuc Says:

He knows because the Saints are where they were before Drew Brees.

  20. Defense Rules Says:

Bonzai … ‘He isn’t say anything different from what half of everyone here are saying.’

Exactly. Did anyone really expect Cam Jordan (or any Saint) to say something nice about the Bucs?

BTW, like him or hate him, Cam Jordan is a beast. Never missed a game in his 12 years in the league, all of them with the same team. With his 115 sacks, he should make the HOF. He was a 1st Rnd pick who was drafted same year (2011) as several past Bucs: Adrian Clayborn (who we picked in front of Cam Jordan), Da’Quan Bowers, Mason Foster & Luke Stocker. Oh and same year as several Bucs from last season: Blaine Gabbert #10 pick in 1st Rnd), Julio Jones (#6 pick in 1st Rnd), Kyle Rudolph (2nd Rnd, 1st TE taken).

  21. Pickgrin Says:

    Defense Rules Says:
“Cam Jordan…With his 115 sacks, he should make the HOF”

Simeon Rice with his 122 sacks and 28 Forced Fumbles says says “yea – you would think so wouldn’t you…”

  22. Defense Rules Says:

Pickgrin … It’s a disgrace that Simeon didn’t make it into the HOF.

  23. Bucschamp Says:

Poor Cam Jordan, beating tampa is their ultimate joy. We are in their heads

  24. ClwJB Says:

Yes, like where the Aints have been for all but about 6 seasons of their existence

  25. mg Says:

With tidy bowles at the helm, the bucs will be a boring no show.

  26. K_bassuka Says:

Stop it Joe, Todd Bowles it’s not a good HC and won’t win unless he has a top 5 QB. So unless the Bucs trade for cry baby Rodgers we are gonna be as bad as Bowles.

  27. Pryda sec 147 Says:

    Rent free in his head

  28. SB~LV Says:

    Love it !
That he speaks like Warren Sapp !
Sucks that it’s true for the Bucs
    .
    Say !!!!
    Did I miss Jason Licht’s
End of the season press conference addressing the last season and the coming season?
    Crickets out of OBP …
    SF GM has had one

  29. mark2001 Says:

Any teams with a real franchise QB will compete for the title. But this division is no pushover, for anyone. And the fans that think so just haven’t been watching.

  30. Allbuccedup Says:

Come on man the Bucs barely won ths division with Tom “friggin” Brady so your telling me that some retread journeyman QB is going to lead us to the playoffs thats why they are journeyman.

  31. Robertg Says:

Cam is nothing but a dirty player on a dirty team. Buccaneers will manage cap and get a bridge QB and win the weak division again. Cam and the aints will see who will be lost

  32. mark2001 Says:

Look…I’m not at all fond of Jordan either. But as they used to say, don’t shoot the messenger. Odd that in our society rather than deconstruct the message we don’t want to hear or want to bury, we attack the messenger. Childish, but that is what much of our society has become. All real Buc fans are hoping we don’t slip back. But we are at a turning point, undeniably. And much of where it goes rests on Bowles, Licht, and the QB. And based on what I’ve seen so far, there is a good chance he is right. Hopefully not. But we are in a position where it would be easier to slip down that slope than continue climbing.

  33. August 1976 Buc Says:

There is a huge obstacle named Todd Bowles. He is Leeman Bennett 2.0. As long as he is the Head Coach, this team will not be competative. His first year as a head coach, and what do you know, double digit losses returned again. And this was with a better team than what they will have in 2023. Dark days are upon this team again. When the Glazers hire a new hrad coach, then we know when they are serious again about winning. Untul then, the Den of Depression will have the stench of losing. 😵😵😵

  34. Hodad Says:

    Thanks Capt. Obvious.

  35. Bosch Says:

If the Bucs don’t finish last in the division in 2023 it will be because the Saints did. How do those sour grapes taste, Jordan?

  36. NEfan Says:

Reality setting in Bucs fans. Should have lost to Atlanta twice, Carolina whipped your arse game one and finished strong in the second game and both Saints games wins weren’t so stellar. None of those teams had a QB. Sorry but don’t like the Bucs chances next season.

  37. SB~LV Says:

    Yo ! Weekend lackey
Git off your phone and do your job !
My post is awaiting your review
However I have never posted anything inappropriate on JBF

  38. Jeff’s grandpa Says:

He’s just jealous that his little brother(Bucs) has a Super Bowl ring and his old ass don’t and most likely won’t

  39. Jeff’s grandpa Says:

Hey Brady bandwagon fan gfy pusscakes

  40. HC Grover Says:

Time to pay the bills for our Super Bowl win.

  41. Kalind Says:

Dude. Check your own team first. The saints are horrible and have no draft capital. Shut yo mouf.

  42. Cobraboy Says:

Kinda like the Saint’s “lost decade” without Brees?

  43. dls5492 Says:

I love how the Bucs are living, rent free, in his head.

  44. Mort Says:

Guess those two Ls they ate this year didn’t humble him enough.

  45. Jeff Says:

Can Jordan is a good but not great player. No HOF for him. But he’s right about the Yucs. Feels like another lost decade approaching. And this roster isn’t even close to sniffing the playoffs. Only Patrick Mahomes could win with this group of aged out talent.

  46. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Cam isn’t wrong…

As long as middle aged frat boy is our GM.. we’re going nowhere.

  47. mark2001 Says:

Klind…they got some draft capital back in the Payton deal. And really, we beat the Saints…. but it wasn’t like it will be close to a sure thing with a Bradyless team, lead by a first year starter. I think whomever gets the best QB play next year wins.

  48. unbelievable Says:

If only winning rings was easy as running your mouth, right Cam?

  49. BA’s Red Pen Says:

    F Cam Jordan

  50. Mikebuc40 Says:

Ask Cam how the Aint’s are doing without Brees.

  51. geno711 Says:

    @NEfan

You are correct that the Bucs chances look poor this next season.

But please also review the Patriots wins last year:

    Pittsburgh with Trubisky
    Cleveland with Brissett
    NY Jets with Wilson
    Indy with Ehlinger
    Jets again with Wilson
    Arizona with McCoy
    Miami with Bridgewater
    Carolina with Walker

New England’s only win against a decent quarterback last year was against Detroit and Jared Goff

    New England also lost to
Chicago with Fields, NY Giants with Taylor and Vegas with Garbers at QB position.

Reality should be setting in for New England fans. Their team since Tom Brady has left is really cr*ppy and appears to have no chance of turning any corner any time soon.

I am sorry they don’t have a website that you can troll on. I had hoped since Tom Brady had announced his retirement that you might want to go back to your own team. But I can see that you just prefer to troll here.

Let’s see if it is 1 more season or whether you are done soon.

  52. Lokog Says:

    Nola bitch has no rings

  53. Buc4evr Says:

If we can get Carr, Cam’s big mouth will get him in a lot of trouble. He needs to be more worried about his slimy low life cheating saints. You can bet Jason is working on getting a vet QB that can win.

  54. Joshua porter Says:

He should known his team is already there. Scam Jordan needs to know he is only at the pro bowl for what he use to be not what he is now.

  55. Mike C Says:

19 teams haven’t won a superbowl in the last 25 years, Bucs got 2, suck it scam

  56. Oneilbuc Says:

Why don’t y’all just ignore NEfakefan he’s not a real bucs fan he was only here because of Brady not the bucs. He once said he would be on the dolphins fan web site if Brady goes there. He would have been rooting for the dolphins if Brady would have went there next season. That’s why I don’t respect nothing he says about the bucs.

  57. Pewter Power Says:

Didn’t realize their situation was so much better than ours, ignorant fool but we know the saints they are all about that regular season life. Always shrink in the playoffs except that one superbowl where the head coach suspended and d coordinator fired. Head hunting was the best they could do to win

  58. Duane Says:

Bucs playoff record 11-10. Saints playoff record 10-13. Truly a case of Real Bad recognizing Real Bad. Only Aaron Rodgers and the Packers have choked away more good fortune than Jordan and his team of front runners have. Let the hatred flow Anakin, because that Nawlins roster is even longer in the tooth, and filled with stars that dont want to be there like Michael Thomas. Last time I checked, they were down a generational quarterback, and coach. Mustve been slim pickings at the Pro Bowl this season for his old ass to even have been selected, but he had the time and nothing better to do, so lucky us. Looking forward to the entire NFC South playing for spite next season.

  59. Nate Says:

This genius was so eager and quick to take shots he forgot he doesn’t have Drew Brees anymore either ..and where have they been since then … dang I sounded like one of the Joes with the “quip” right there 😂😂😂💯

  60. Goatfarmer Says:

Cam Jordan is agreeing with many of us.

But he is an Aint and that means his opinion is worth two dry turds in a picnic basket. I hope he never sees a winning season again in his career, whatever short time left that he has.

  61. Miller5252 Says:

How many super bowls has Jordan won???? Oh yeah……

  62. fwfan Says:

Jordan is right. The reason why Buc fans are sour with him is because the majority still consider the Bucs a superbowl contender without Brady. So what you have is contrasting beliefs. No surprise here.

  63. Sal Says:

He should worry about his sorry ass team

  64. Big Marlon B Says:

Every time I see Cam Jordan, I get annoyed. Not because he’s a Saint. But because in a draft LOADED with pass rushers, the Bucs took Adrian Clayborn instead of him. I wasn’t a fan of it at the time, and the feeling has only intensified in the last 12 years.

  65. TAMPA BAY DEMON™ Says:

    That’s hilarious, Jordan.

WHERE exactly have the SAINTS been?
