Tom Brady Hopes Ryan Jensen Can Play The Entire Game

January 16th, 2023

He’s back!

Monday evening is when Tom Brady’s weekly, pre-recorded podcast usually drops, but it went early today because Brady and his fans are a little busy tonight.

You may have heard the Bucs are hosting the Cowboys in a Wild Card game.

Pro Bowl center Ryan Jensen was activated today for the first time since his July knee injury, and Brady was talking on Let’s Go! about Jensen starting at center (not guard) and possibly going the distance.

“…It’s a big boost for us because he’s got a great attitude and he’s an incredibly talented player and he adds a big presence to the middle of our offensive line. And his toughness and his attitude is unmatched,” Brady said. “And [Robert] Hainsey did a great job stepping in for him all year. I don’t know who’s gonna ultimately play the bulk of the game, you know, obviously we hope Ryan can go the whole game. Who knows? I don’t know what’s gonna happen. But, you know, Hainsey is there ready to go too, so we’re in a good position at the center position, which has been a challenge for us all year.”

Joe is fired up for Jensen, but Joe is not expecting Pro Bowl form. He is human and 5 1/2 months off is hard to overcome.

Safe bet the Bucs will not be running much hurry-up tonight with Jensen on the field, a style that suits them well.

    Agreed!

  3. firethecannons Says:

so what was wrong with jensen’s knee, what was the diagnosis?

  4. Trask To The Future Says:

I don’t think it’s unusual if he DID return to Pro Bowl form tonight. He’s played his position for about 10 YEARS in the NFL. As long as his knee is healthy enough to play, he should play just fine.

  5. Gofortheface30 Says:

Agree on stepping right in to pro bowl form. No chance in hell he’s anywhere near he wants to be strength wise since he prob hasn’t been able to do squats for half a calendar year. His functional strength in fact is prob far below where he wants it to be but…I’ll take him 100 times out of 100 over what’s left of our other options

    LFG

  7. Slacker Says:

Need Brady to take control over the offense. Only way to make it functional. Leftwich needs to just stand over there and be a puppet

  8. SlyPirate Says:

    Jensen’s Brings:
    +Fire
    +Leadership

    +Emotional Boost

    = Awesome!

  9. Stanglassman Says:

Is Brady saying Hainsey is definitively healthy enough to play tonight? I hadn’t heard that news.

  10. Goatfarmer Says:

Everybody is questionable tonight it seems.

Well we definitely know that coaching is questionable

  13. BucsFan81 Says:

Can we keep Leftwhich in the locker room and just let Brady call the plays.

  14. NEfan Says:

    Leverett and Neal inactive.

  15. Beej Says:

We don’t know how long Jensen has been healthy enough to practice, he may have been having contact cross drills away from the facility

  16. TampaBayRudy Says:

Yeah sure, we’re not going to run hurry up offense because Ryan Jensen is on the field. Yeah, that’s the reason why. I’m pretty sure it’s also because we have a coach that doesn’t really like to outscore the other team. We’re in a race to 17 points. Then bowls’ OCD compromise is fulfilled, and we can watch the defense meltdown for the rest of the game and lose 30 to 17. I have another prediction: We will run up the gut on first down every series except the first, and it will be the same bologna show we’ve seen all season. Bet. ✔️💯

  17. 74 Bucs Fan Says:

Interesting to hear Brady admit that Center has been a problem all year. And LG please was a bigger problem imo.
