For The Tom Brady Haters

December 13th, 2022

Check yo’ sheets.

Joe comes away shook reading the comments on this here website the past couple of days.

No, the outrage about failing Bucs offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich is spot on. Joe is a tad uncomfortable about the raging about Todd Bowles. Bowles has done a bad job but it sure smells like he’s working with an offensive coordinator who may not be his preference.

If the latter element is true, then changes are coming in a few weeks.

No, what has Joe shaken to his core is how many people are piling on Tom Brady. What???!!! There are actually folks who want to run Brady out of town. Can you imagine?

Hell, Joe has even read comments that Brady ought to be benched for third-string (?) quarterback Kyle Trask. Let that sink in for a moment.

Yes, Bucs fans, they walk among us.

So Joe decided to do very quick research to see if this Brady-hate is justified. Well, it’s not.

Brady has 3,685 yards passing. That puts him atop all NFC quarterbacks and fourth overall. More than Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts even.

No quarterback who leads his conference is washed up. To suggest otherwise is nothing more than drunken nonsense. Imagine what Brady could do with a competent offensive mind?

This is eerily starting to remind Joe of when Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, was here. He’d lead the NFL in passing and people would have seizures in the median of Dale Mabry Highway to run the guy out of town.

Now they want Brady kicked the door. Tom freaking Brady!!!

This tells Joe there is a sect of Bucs fans who simply just don’t like the forward pass. Otherwise, this makes absolutely zero sense to Joe, not even after pounding two four-packs of Bromosa.

Your boy, Jamoist, can’t eaven beat out the red rocket. Let that sink in. If you had your way, he’d still be here throwing pick sixes and losing games. That’s why people wanted him gone. TB12 is looking a little long in the tooth. If he wants another year, I would give it to him. But Suckwich has to go. Bowels will never win so he must go as well. Cut the driftwood!!!!

  2. Lamarcus Says:

To criticize Brady, be hard on him, calling him out and telling the truth is not hating. It’s feels like hating to the sensitive. And doesn’t mean to bench him or run him out of town. No one is directly saying that because it’s not realistic. Brady has been playing below average and he’s the Goat. Both could be true

  3. beano Says:

Joe Says: “Hell, Joe has even read some comments that Brady ought to be benched for third-string (?) quarterback Kyle Trask. Let that sink in for a moment.”

Fake news, Joe. Giving Kyle Trask snaps with the first team offense – for the first time ever – in a few games is not “benching” Brady. It’s giving Trask snaps so we can see what he has going into the 2023 draft.

Why are you so afraid of giving Trask a shot in meaningless games in a meaningless season? Afraid he’ll make you look like an idiot after hating on him for the past two seasons? Yup.

  4. JayBuc Says:

Good Point Joe. Brady has missed more throws this year, BUT he is by no means our biggest problem. BAD Coaching is! In addition to be predictable, these guys also seem to be very slow at making adjustments mid-game. Good Coaches are quick to make adjustments. Good OC’s are also good at scheming!

Still, I would like to see a little more consistency from Brady. Throw to Evans in the End Zone was horrible. First drive miss to Julio was also bad imo.

  5. beano Says:

    Joe,

If Brady had stayed retired and we played Trask this season and had the exact same record with the exact same stats, you and all your fellow halFSU-Trask-haters would be blaming Trask and only Trask. 100%.

  6. ViSyl Says:

Yeah, maybe he declined a little (it’s much more surprising that he did not “fall off a cliff”) but he can still play a high level, and is not the main reason we suck.

  7. Thisisouryear!!! Says:

That’s not fair to compare Brady to wanting Jameis out. Jameis also lead the league in INT’s. His head just wasn’t right. People are worried that Brady isn’t the same. He’s missed the deep ball too much the last several weeks. A lot of it may be the lack of work with the receivers, but his arm strength looked a little weak lately, but maybe he’s hurt too.

Whatever it is, I would love to see them pull out of this funk and they definitely can. I’m hoping the 49ers loss does something like the Saints loss 2 years ago.

  8. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I don’t hate Tom Brady……I love him….he changed our culture, made us relevant get’s us a ton of publicity and won us a Super Bowl.

But, I am in the camp that he is pt least partly responsible for our offensive woes.

Name me any QB who consistently fails to convert 3rd downs…..gets 3 instead of 7 in the red zone and doesn’t score points…….who would escape criticism.

Do I think coaching is the primary problem…..yes I do..

  9. Joe Says:

Why are you so afraid of giving Trask a shot in meaningless games in a meaningless season? Afraid he’ll make you look like an idiot after hating on him for the past two seasons?

You are misapplying Joe’s fear. The Bucs still have a prayer of a playoff berth. It’s too late to tank with Kyle Trask.

“Afraid?” Yeah, afraid Trask with the first team facing a first-team defense will be worse than when Trask was briefly promoted to second team in training camp and Joe with his own two eyes watched Trask fully meltdown where people would have been on all fours begging for the return of Jameis.

Now next year if folks want to wave goodbye to Tom Brady and tank for Caleb Williams, Joe’s all for starting Trask all 17 games. Big picture folks, big picture.

And once again for people who love to misuse the word “hate,” Joe does not hate Trask. Joe does hate bad football. Remember, Joe applauded the drafting of Trask. Go ahead and look it up in Joe’s free archives.

Don’t you think there’s a reason the only game Trask ever dressed for — forget played in, wore a damn uniform — was because the Bucs were forced to due to NFL active gameday roster rules?

  10. #99 the Big fella Says:

Joe, I blame Todd Bowles and Byron Leftwich for not having this team ready to play. This team looks tired lazy and not interested. This is December football. We should be playing our best. It is definitely time for someone to get fired and held accountable.

  11. LOL Says:

I’ve seen less comments hating on Brady on this site than poor throws Tom has made in just the past 3 games

He’s definitely still the GOAT and one of the best in the league right now though. A lot of blame to go around….

  12. Joe Says:

Joe, I blame Todd Bowles and Byron Leftwich for not having this team ready to play.

That’s not just a fair statement, that’s an accurate statement.

The Bucs absolutely were not ready to play in Santa Clara. Well, not enough were ready to play, that’s for sure.

  13. Casual Observer Says:

    Brady is not the problem.

  14. Show Me the TDs Says:

Yeah Joe, you’re a true evaluator of QB talent. LOL! Your boy Johnny Manziel comes to mind. As Herm Edward’s said, loudly, “YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME”. In the case of the past GOAT, stats are for losers.

  15. Joe Says:

If Brady had stayed retired and we played Trask this season and had the exact same record with the exact same stats, you and all your fellow halFSU-Trask-haters would be blaming Trask and only Trask. 100%.

    100 percent BS!

You have zero clue. If Kyle Trask was leading the NFC in passing and in the top-five in passing, this site might as well be called KyleTraskFan.com.

But Joe doesn’t live in fantasy land. Where a guy goes to school doesn’t mean jack squat. What he does on an NFL field is what matters.

And if Joe hated Trask so much, why did Joe applaud the Bucs for drafting him? But you won’t answer that.

  16. beano Says:

    Joe,

The plural of anecdote is not data. However, this is data from the last preseason game:

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers Passing
    RTG
    Kyle Trask 99.6
    Blaine Gabbert 89.0
    Tom Brady 87.5

Don’t let the data get in the way of your biased anecdotes.

  17. chris l Says:

First of all – let’s never compare tom brady to jameis winston. WINSTON SUCKED. we threw for so many yards because we would be down in games so badly we were forced to after his incessant turnovers. the guy absolutely sucked and took us nowhere. i would rather be in the playoffs than leading the league in passing yards. the name of the game is points and wins right? game, set, match.

second of all – brady hasnt played as well as he should be but who knows why. but are you really surprised by the responses? they are dumb as hell but there is similar outrage to reading some of the misogynistic comments seen on this very website by commenters. some people man

  18. Rayjay1122 Says:

BL of course is trash. Bowles is an OK DC though his game plans were hit or miss mostly in 2020. Bowles takes the blame though because as HC, he should already have demanded that BL be relieved of his duties. Also Bowles has no clue what it takes to be even an average HC. So, I think both of these Gents have failed miserably. The offense sucks and the defense honestly is not very far ahead as they consistently are undisciplined, make zero splash plays and never seem to be able to make stops when it is 3rd and long. The whole thing smells like a fresh pile of dog crap.

  19. Tbbucs3 Says:

“Brady has 3,685 yards passing. That puts him atop all NFC quarterbacks and fourth overall.”

Put this stat into context, Joe. The Bucs lead the league in pass attempts by a mile so Bradys high passing yards are for the most part meaningless.

  20. Lamarcus Says:

And please describe how Brady is NOT playing bad?? That should be the question for the Brady camp. Please describe or demonstrate that Brady is still at a high level. Probe them!!

  21. Tampabaybucfan Says:

It seems to me that Joe has so much disdain for Leftwich (called for his firing) that he gives Brady somewhat of a pass…..

We actually have proof that you can lead the NFL in passing and still be a failure…..2019 America’s QB.

Again, I am a Brady supporter but you can’t hang everything on passing yardage.

  22. Tbbucs3 Says:

    NFL Pass Attempt Leaders
    1. Tom Brady 579
    2. Justin Herbert 561
    3. Patrick Mahomes 511
    4. Kirk Cousins 490
    5. Joe Burrow 473

If passing yards meant anything then the Bucs wouldn’t have a bottom 5 offense. This Tom Brady is playing at an “elite” level stuff is complete nonsense.

  23. VATom Says:

Without being.on the ‘inside’ it’s impossible to know what the issues really are. Brady doesnt look sharp without ‘His Guys’. He doesnt seem to adapt his game well to the players we have. He isnt hitting receivers in stride. Doesnt seem to be on the same page. It looks like the bad old days.

There are exceptions. He has done decent with short dump off passes to the receivers. And occasionally he and Godwin or Julio seem to hook up on decent pass placement/route over the middle. But he keeps underthrowing or low balling some damn good receivers.

Is it Brady’s fault? How can we tell? Too many platitudes in these press conferences. They aren’t going to share substance. So for the casual fan you decide by the eye test. And the eye test is looking 20/200

  24. beano Says:

“Show Me the TDs Says: Yeah Joe, you’re a true evaluator of QB talent. LOL! Your boy Johnny Manziel comes to mind.”

    Jameis Winston too.

  25. Tampabuscsbro Says:

Joe jameis had about 10 times as many turnovers as Brady is having while leading his conference in passing. Granted I agree with you I don’t understand why they want to go after him.

Brady this season is still the third best QB season we have ever had and people want to run him out of town. Without him we would have 3 more losses and be eyeing a top 5 pick.

  26. Oneilbuc Says:

Joe . Please as soon as they drafted Trask you said that he was not going to be the guy after Brady before he threw 1 pass in practice. It’s funny how you evaluate a player who never practice with the starters and call it a competition when the other guy is practicing with the starters that’s called a narrative. Just like saying people hate Brady because he’s playing bad . And less just tell the truth Brady is 45 years old and his time is up just like Rice, Manning and all the other all time greats . But you know what Joe Trask numbers in college in 2020 has been better than every quarterback that came out in 2020 and even this year’s Heisman trophy winner !!!!

  27. Joe Says:

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers Passing TRG
    Kyle Trask 99.6

This isn’t just fake news, this is outright fiction. LOL

First, passer rating is a bogus stat. Go ahead and look at all-time passer rating leaders and come back to Joe. That is, unless you really believe Baker Mayfield is a better quarterback than Dan Marino and Mitch Trubisky is better than Roger Staubach.

Second, how can a guy who has never thrown a pass in the NFL have a passer rating? Wouldn’t it be 0.00?

The way you are going, you’re going to need a new shovel. 🙂

  28. Bucfan1988 Says:

Joe, you missing the point of people’s frustrations…

Without a shadow of a doubt, TB12 is the GOAT.
    No doubt here..

HOWEVERRRRR, Brady has missed wide-a$$ open receivers for HUGE gains in the ball last few weeks. His chemistry with Scotty Miller all season has been garbage when it comes to the deep throws.

Seems like every week Miller will bust one and if Brady could just put the ball out there further, we’d be good!! He’s under throwing him every time.

Based on that and things I saw in the game, Brady has lost his zip.
Don’t think it’s his age affecting him. I think his shoulder & hand injuries are hurting him right now…

He’s missing throws that you never have seen him miss 🤷🏻‍♂️..

  29. Tbbucs3 Says:

“Without him we would have 3 more losses and be eyeing a top 5 pick.”

Wrong, without a good defense the Bucs would be picking in the top 5. The Bucs still have a bottom 5 offense in the NFL with Tom Brady at the helm so not sure where your getting this….

  30. Thunder Says:

Brady is at fault. You just did a story where he is tweaking the game plan. And I’m sure he is tweaking it in the huddle too. He has become Captain Checkdown.
    All things can be true
    1. Brady got old this is one season too long.
    2. We have a lot of big receivers who don’t get a lot of separation.
    3. Leftwich is over his head.
    4 Bowles is a D- Coordinator

I don’t even care if we make the playoffs because “We can’t beat anyone”.
Time to throw the Glazer Bank at Harbaugh and rebuild.

  31. JimmyfromNY Says:

As soon as the headline, Tom Brady trolls went right to the computer , so predictable. Nothing will change the seven Super Bowls boys all those salty tears are the best!! Lol Funny thing is, he’ll get you in the playoffs and probably beat the Cowboys. Next year trash will be the quarterback in all his relatives on this website will disappear when he throws more int than TDs with a 75 ratting . Three and 14 at best

  32. beano Says:

For those of you wondering when Joe became Joe the Quarterback Guru, below is an article he wrote after the 2014 draft.

“Still, can you imagine the excitement today if the team had picked Manziel? Can you imagine the impact? He has been the finest playmaker in college football over the last two years. Didn’t films of how he shredded Alabama’s defense get to the NFL? Didn’t the scouting reports state that he was usually the best player on the field? Hey, you can judge by tape measures and stopwatches all you want. But Manziel plays for the scoreboard. YOUR EYES TELL YOU THE KID CAN PLAY.”

Today Joe says his eyes tell him Trask CANNOT play – so that means Trask is a Hall of Famer. LMAO.

  33. Joe Says:

Today Joe says his eyes tell him Trask CANNOT play – so that means Trask is a Hall of Famer.

Pretty sure the Bucs coaches are screaming that but you prefer to keep your head buried in the dirt.

  34. beano Says:

“Joe Says: passer rating is a bogus stat.”

Joe HATES STATS when Trask rates a significantly higher passer rating than both Gabbert AND Brady in the final 2022 preseason game.

Joe LOVES STATS when the Bucs are one of the lowest scoring teams in the NFL but Brady has a few stats for Joe to cherry pick.

  35. Conte Piscatelli Says:

    Stats are for losers

The eye test says this offense stinks, and he is part of it. I refuse to exonerate him off responsibility when I see him short hop receivers and just give up on plays.

  36. HC Grover Says:

The Crazy Clown Coach Camp is out in force.

  37. BucU Says:

This team doesn’t have a Brady problem. It has a commitment problem. This team collectively has quit on this coaching staff. That’s a fact. Disinterested. Lackadaisical. No sense of urgency. That’s a coaching staff problem!!!! This team is a laughingstock right now. We hear the same garbage from Bowles/Leftwich every single week. Even the games we won it took a miracle finish.
I’m done with this organization until they remove this entire coaching staff. And I’m hoping the Glazers are as pissed off as I am over this latest embarrassment.

  38. Smashsquatch Says:

Brady’s play has declined this year, and he’d be the first one to admit that. That’s the good news, because unlike Jameis, Brady at least recognizes it. Give him time to throw, a run game, and freedom to call his own plays; and watch him dice up the opposition en route to another SB. Yes he can play better, but fix the ills around him, and you’ll see a goat trotting around the field again.

  39. captivajim Says:

Everyone knows Brady is not a mobile QB. Hence he needs really good O-Line to give him time in the pocket to ; a) let receivers get separation & b) to go thru his progressions .. THanx to Licht ,BA & bowles the bucs don’t have a decent O-line-thats why we can’t run the ball !!!

So , given the O-line that Licht , BA & Bowles have given us ; you need a mobile QB -which we happen to have …Trask. So why not play a guy who by being mobile can give receivers time to get separation >

    seems straight forward to me

  40. Craig Says:

The team, the fans, and Trask need to know if Trask is part of the team’s future.

I don’t hate Brady, but he does look kind of long in the tooth this season. It might be how pissed off he is with Leftie and his fifth grade plays, but he still looks bad.

The team needs to activate Trask and toss him in a few times to see what happens, there is little risk because they are already ugly; and Brady is gone at the end of the season, he has too much drive to watch a season like this.

  41. DBS Says:

It’s nothing more than the trolls still p!ssed off because their boy Jameis got sent packing. Now he is riding the bench. Plus the Trask trolls wants their boy on the field. He couldn’t even make the backup position.

  42. Tbbucs3 Says:

I guarantee most fans (including myself) that are critical of Tom Bradys play this season acknowledge Bradys greatness for the Bucs in 2020 and 2021…..

So the headline “For the Tom Brady Haters” is incredibly unfair…..instead most that are critical of his play for this seasom (QB of a bottom 5 offense) are just not blind Brady fan boys who defend him at every turn

  43. Redeemer Says:

Trask either isn’t what they thought he was, or he’s failed to make any meaningful progress. How else to you trasklodytes explain him only dressing for one game in two years. IMO, He was over drafted by about two rounds.

Most of the Brady hate here isn’t worth responding to Joe. Guys like Oneilbuc and his ilk just don’t understand football. It’s fine to be critical, just bring some facts. Brady’s line is ranked near the bottom in pass and run block win rate. That can’t be argued with. If you watch the all 22, it’s easy to see that his recievers are blanketed. There’s a reason behind that. Brady is throwing into 7+ defenders more than any QB in the league. This is a symptom of their inability to run the ball. Bucs running backs have faced the lowest % of stacked boxes in the league. Brady has missed some throws, and isn’t moving well. The Brady critics will point that out all day. What they won’t point out is the dropped passes, penalties and miscommunication.

  44. Kenny Says:

Bench Brady for the rest of the season. good idea

  45. First Down Tampa Bay Says:

If Tom Brady’s decision to return to Tampa hinges on whether Leftwich stays or goes and we choose to keep Leftwich out of pure stubbornness, it will go down as one of the all-timers in a franchise littered with bad decisions. Signing Brady was a the greatest decision this team has ever made, and it sits atop a very small list of them, and to keep one of, if not, the worst OC in the NFL because of Arians’ urging to keep his coaching staff in tact shame on him. Preventing Brady from having a say in the playcaller/playcalling is directly spitting in the face of the man who is almost singlehandidly responsible for saving jobs (Leftwich), creating paydays (Fournette, Godwin, etc), and bolstering HOF resumes (Evans, Arians).

If we let Tom leave without doing all we can to accommodate him, shame on everyone that makes decisions for this team.

  46. D-Rome Says:

Jay-Miss deserved to be run out of town for being a turnover machine. Bucs were never going to win anything with him. I firmly believe Brady’s issues this year largely have to do with the play calling and the coaching. Coming second is an underperforming offensive line. Lastly, Brady has regressed just a tad.

I don’t want Brady run out of town. That idea is preposterous.

  47. D-Rome Says:

Brady’s play has declined this year, and he’d be the first one to admit that. That’s the good news, because unlike Jameis, Brady at least recognizes it.

Yeah, exactly. After Jay-Miss threw his 30th INT which was a pick 6 he said he thought he was ballin’. Now he’s a 3rd string QB.

  48. beano Says:

“Joe Says: How can a guy who has never thrown a pass in the NFL have a passer rating? Wouldn’t it be 0.00?”

Now you’re being outright disingenuous. I plainly wrote “this is data from the last preseason game”. RTGs from preseason do not make it to season stats. You don’t know that?

  49. 1976PretzelKid Says:

First time post … Joe … to say people are hating on TB12 is probably just frustration with the team in general and him being the MAN he has to take some responsibility for his play which hasn’t been normal for the GOAT. This is a team game and all of them are picking up paychecks and hitting up TikTok for entertainment!

Play calling, effort and moxie are gone. It’s sitting up in the box protecting his reputation with Bowles and Leftwich running the show. Bruce is the problem that no one wants to admit, he walked away with his edge and the team plays like their coach and Bowles doesn’t have that moxie that runs through the veins of the team … say like Detroit!

Commenters on this site make my blood boil, sometimes I can’t even read the comments so I don’t have a good day turn bad. Justa Miston was horrid as a player and person not comparable to the GOAT … EVER!

  50. Lakeland Steve Says:

Anyone questioning Tom Freaking Brady needs their head examined. First, is he making all the throws right now? No. But he makes enough plays to win games. Second, is he the QB who gives us the best chance to win? Absolutely. I can’t imagine watching Blaine Gabbert or Kyle Trask as QB with Brady sitting the bench. I think we find out at the end of the season that Brady is a little dinged up. The thing that bothers me the most is how we operated like a machine the previous two years but now we can’t score more than 17 points a game. The only different factor besides a banged up line is Bruce Arians is not coaching. We went from no risk it no biscuit to 1 yard and a cloud of dust.

  51. Old School Bucs Says:

    Joe,

What you have here is a combination of losers crying and trying to sound like they are experts. The only thing they know about Brady’s career is what they have seen in highlight clips over the years in New England. Football is and always had been a team sport. Yes Quarterbacks get a lot of the accolades and with that they get a lot of the blame. But 7 super bowls says something about his ability to win in the worst circumstances. Yes Brady had missed some throws this year. To suggest that he has lost arm strength or is washed up brings us back to they know nothing about Brady. When he was in New England going back a good 10 years he had years when he was missing throws. Underthrowing his receivers too. The same crowd who wanted to run him out were saying the same crap!

The bottom line is this Brady hasn’t list a damn thing. The book on Brady has always been almost the same as it was in payton Manning. That is to affect his throws you have to put pressure on him. They call it get him off his spot!!!! You can see in various parts of a game the uncomfortable throws he is making. He is feeling the pressure and it affects his throws. 49ers came at him all game. Brady is best when he is getting the ball out fast most of the time, then he pops a deep one. This line has been sporadic in performance

  52. gbobucsfan Says:

Cole Beasley is signing with the Bills….hahahaha

  53. BelleGladeBuc Says:

    Just my 2 cents.

I’m for the Bucs being awesome, always.

    Food for thought.

Everybody I hope can agree that the Buc’s coaching staff is horrible on offense.

Because of that, Kyle Trask is being instructed by horrible teachers/coaches.

To expect a rookie to be great when his teachers are horrible is not logical.

  54. NEfan Says:

Joe, great article get all the haters out at once. You want stats here are some stats. Last in rushing, these premadona QB’s the haters speak of ALL have a good rushing game, oline is last in protection and wr’s bottom in separation. Let’s talk passing yards. Yes he throws more because the O cannot run but most of you all b#$ch about the short passes/check downs that don’t equate to squat in passing yards let alone the negative yards on BL’s stupid behind the line screens passes. Now let’s talk about Bucs poster boy ME13 who drops passes a pop warner player could catch and rhe obvious quitting on deep routes and Smith that negates long ball td’s due to stupidity. Brady has asked for 1 & 1 drills but was.shot down. If you take a veteran of 23 yrs and change his practice habits you could have a problem. Let’s not forget Brady and his family are whacked by the media after this loss and he is attacked by the media for every loss. No OTHER player/coach gets publically ridiculed more than him. Here is the kicker, he will still go down fighting for these shatty coaches and thankless haters. SMH!

  55. beano Says:

    @Redeemer

The plan was never to let Trask compete with Gabbert so long as Brady is here because Brady wanted a veteran backup. Even Bucs QB Coach Clyde Christensen said before this season that Trask would not be the backup QB because Gabbert would be getting the backup snaps not Trask. There has never been even a pretense that Trask would be allowed to compete with Gabbert while Brady is here. Here is Christensen on May 10, 2022:

“I don’t see him competing with Gabbert for the backup job this year. You can’t rep everybody, it’s hard to get Gabbert enough reps. So we’ll prepare Gabbert as the No. 2.”

So Gabbert was to be the No. 2, set in stone long before training camp.

  56. Tbbucs3 Says:

When the only argument for Brady is blaming every one around him you know he’s not playing well

  57. TDavis Says:

    1. Bowles problem is his conservative game management approach and that his defense is really not that great against the pass (which really just means not that great). If the QB doesn’t get sacked there’s almost always someone open. I honestly can’t remember the last time the Bucs had an interception that counted. Also, he blitzes too much.

    2. Brady is still a great QB, but there’s no doubt that he has missed some huge plays the last couple weeks and that has really hurt the team.

  58. Captain Oblivious Says:

The Bucs fans on this blog are a fickle lot. No one is arguing that the offense is wildly underperforming and there is a lot of blame to go around. Y’all should know by now that I am a big Brady fan so my takes may be a little biased. However, it is well known that Brady performs poorly when getting pressure up the middle. Unfortunately the 2022 Bucs OL has key injuries and missing a pro bowl guard and tackle. I’ve noticed that Brady does panic even when there isn’t immediate pressure and missing some throws. It is also true that he is still threading the needle with receivers who can’t get separation and there have been far too many drops this season. This season has been a perfect storm of failure starting at the top with Bowles and BL.

I predict that Brady will be a top 3 QB next season playing with another team (probably the 49ers) taking them deep into the playoffs.

  59. BucFanToo Says:

I think Lamarcus nailed it above. I think Brady was hurt way back in a game where he came up and was holding his shoulder. After that he has been off on both intermediate and long passes. Prove me wrong. I also believe as Lamarcus said both things can be wrong Brady off and bad playcalling. Would love to see some sort of change. And for the record..what does it hurt to see what we do have with the backups? Does anyone believe this team will go deep if they make the playoffs?

  60. beano Says:

BelleGladeBuc Says: “Trask is being instructed by horrible teachers/coaches. To expect a rookie to be great when his teachers are horrible is not logical.”

It’s even more illogical when that player isn’t even allowed to play with the first team and show what he has.

  61. Hodad Says:

Brady’s not the problem, but he ain’t the solution either. It’s just time for a total rebuild, that’s why people are calling for a peak at the future. I don’t think it’s fair to play Trask this year since he didn’t beat out Gabbert. Gabbert should’ve relieved Tom yesterday no doubt. The QB we really need to look at is Gabbert. Tom coming back next year with these players, and mostly same coaches won’t be better then this year. At some point rip the bandaid off.

  62. beano Says:

“Joe Says: First, passer rating is a bogus stat. Go ahead and look at all-time passer rating leaders and come back to Joe.”

Thanks for the link, Joe. I did look and the top 10 passer ratings leaders you linked to are:

    1 Patrick Mahomes 105.4
    2 Aaron Rodgers 103.8
    3 Deshaun Watson 103.3
    4 Russell Wilson 100.5
    5 Jimmy Garoppolo 99.6
    6 Drew Brees 98.7
    7 Dak Prescott 98.2
    8 Kirk Cousins 97.8
    9 Tom Brady 97.2
    10 Tony Romo 97.1

The 99.6 Trask posted in the final preseason game (higher than both Gabbert and Brady) looks pretty good, eh?

  63. BucsFanSince76 Says:

Consider the source Joe before you let Beano and the other Brady haters get you so wound up. Some observers here are really erudite and thoughtful , but most are not. A decent offensive line would cure all ills.

  64. Bama2k22 Says:

Being as objective as I can be:
    1. Bowles is a good coordinator and does good with the defense, but is in way over his head as a head coach
    2. Leftwich sucks and needs to find another career outside of football
    3. Brady is not playing as well as he has the past 2 years, but I think 90% of the decline we are seeing is due to having Godwin not at 100%, 4 different Offensive linemen than last year and no OJ Howard(kidding) or Gronk. He’s a little gunshy behind this O-line for sure.

  65. Guinness8 Says:

If we play Trask next year he will be one and done because we will draft first and take Williams.
And this is from a Gotor fan.

  66. Bucsfanman Says:

Brady is definitely a contributing factor to this teams problems, albeit to varying degrees. The JW comparison is way off, IMO, but I understand the premise.

In my view, this team is absolutely 100% NOT going to the playoffs without Tom Brady. It’s the only reason I think we still have a chance. This past Sunday was difficult to watch but, you still cannot convince me that a Brady-led team is just going to roll over.
Get Brady into the playoffs and I like our chances. In order to do that though, this team needs to pull its head out of its you know what, especially that crap-show offense!

  67. Guinness8 Says:

    *Gator

  68. NEfan Says:

Ttsucs, that makes NO sense but neither do most of your posts. Didn’t know football is an individual sport. Blaming one person on a 53 man TEAM is ludicrous. Brady could have thrown for 3 tds and 400 yds and still not beat the 3rd string QB that put up 35 points against a “TOP 10 D?” You amoung the group that would rather tank now than see out the rest of the season. Ya know what we call that up in NE? A LOSER!!!

  69. Kentucky Buc Says:

Captain Oblivious. Totally agree with everything you said. Great summary.

  70. Tbbucs3 Says:

The Bucs are top 10 in nearly every defensive category including fewest points allowed…..

Meanwhile the Bucs offense is bottom 5 in points scored with a whooping 17.2 points per game.

The Patriots fans on here like to ignore basics facts

  71. Cchead Says:

Let’s see what Brady can do in the last 4 games. It’s going to have ti be better than San Fran game or we go 1-3 and not make playoffs. Which should get the entire coaching staff fired.

  72. WillieG Says:

“Joe is a tad uncomfortable about the raging about Todd Bowles.” – Joe

I don’t like it either because I really wanted him as our head coach BUT the writing is on the wall. He is doing exactly what I was afraid he’d do. He coaches to not lose with a team whose stars are used to taking chances, used to having a coach who BELIEVES in them, and used to having that same coach chew their asses vigorously after they commit a stupid penalty.

Coach “No Risk It, Don’t Want No Biscuit”, is telling his offense that he has zero confidence in them when he throttles the offense before game day, and takes no chances during the game. He’s also saying it’s perfectly okay to hold every play because he’s not going to say anything, even when a holding penalty wipes out a TD. It’s no coincidence Smith is having his worst year ever.

Lastly, I think Brady has a shoulder injury. I’ve had them. They make you do weird things at times. For example, my hand would be raised and then it would just drop. Or I’d be pointing and and my arm would drop a few inches. I think Brady loses control of his arm at times, and it drops suddenly like my used to. That would definitely screw up his passes.

  73. NEfan Says:

Ttsucs, talk about twisting the stats, Bucs played 3 current power offenses Dallas, KC & 9ers. Dallas was the first game and we can all agree both sides of the ball played well in that game. The other two were a joke. Lost the lead against the Ravens, almost gave up the game to Atlanta, Saints & Seattle. Let up 20 points to a 1-5 at the time Steelers and over 200 yds rushing in one half to both Carolina and Baltimore. They make bad teams look good. They made Trubinsky, Dalton, Brisset, Smith, Mariotta & best of all Purdy look like pro-bowlers. Do I have to back the last two seasons and give you more examples?

  74. Tbbucs3 Says:

Dalton, Mariota and Brisset both out up 17, 16 and 15 points in regulation against the Bucs defense and your saying they looked like “pro bowlers” in those games? Your just making things up now

  75. D-Rok Says:

I think the O-line is the biggest problem as the push up the middle exposes Brady’s (and every QB’s) greatest weakness; ie, lack of trust in blocking and hurrying up reads and throws. When Brady rushes throws, naturally, the timing will be off. It’s a cause and effect relationship.

Coupled with bad coaching and a risk-averse QB, and we have what we have from the QB position.

I would not say Brady is washed though, because when he was allowed to lead the offense to game-winners in the 4th QTR against the Rams AND the Saints, both just weeks ago, tells me Brady isn’t the biggest problem.

I think the O-line is by far the biggest problem due to lack of talent, and that problem starts with the GM not acquiring talent, and the coaches not coaching up the talent they do have for the scheme they are running.

Lots of people at OBP are complicit in this historic melt-down. And the thing that irks SO MANY PEOPLE is that we all expected this team to better, and to be more competitive. As a general statement, the Bucs have not been competitive this year.

    Still, GO BUCS!!!

  76. Rod Munch Says:

Cole Beasley is unretiring to play for the Bills.

I had totally missed this, the reason he said he quit the Bucs was because, “They weren’t going to use me. They have too many guys getting paid big money for them not to be on the field.”

Really? At the time, Julio was still hurt and Godwin wasn’t 100%, and of course it goes without saying Gage was hurt.

Did Leftwich really tell Beasley to get lost, we’d rather have Scotty Miller and Darden out there playing and not him?

    Wow.

  77. Rod Munch Says:

Here’s the deal – if you watch this offense and think Brady is the problem, then you are what is called, a low-T, low IQ, idiot who has no idea what they’re watching.

There’s not much else that is needed to be said as that pretty much covers it all.

  78. westernbuc Says:

These people are colossal morons and don’t know anything about football. The only reason we’ve won any games is because of Brady.

Bowles is doing a good job, his defense is solid and game management isn’t awful. His offensive coordinator on the other hand is trash

  79. Mr. Magoo Says:

Tampa Bay has always been populated mostly by fair weather fans who don’t know football.

  80. SO4 Says:

    People are frustrated
Easy to trash someone everyone hates ( because of his 7 rings, hard work year after year) when things don’t go well
There is no constructive criticism, well very little
There is no respect for anyone
The older people are the more they are trashed
    Pathetic
All media has to do is tag Brady’s name for whatever story and it sells
Year after year tons of teams perform worst than Bucs but Brady gets all the hate, it’s so ridiculous, wouldn’t surprise me if they blame him for world hunger bs
As far as I see it, this is all in the owners

They were banking on rookie OL to be as productive as Wirfs

They had pre season , trade came and went and did nothing
Sure everyone is playing bad bur how the f…. Do you do anything with a kinder level OL
And Bowles, don’t get me started
Best he can do is say how he has f…. nobody respects the guy, he is soft nice guy looks like, but it takes a lot more to lead
Take the OL away from any winning team and please tell me if the have a leg to stand on, sure your mobile quarterbacks this and that but they won’t last in the league, the beating is too much
I want them to rise, get mentally tough, they are tired but they can do it, they have to it themselves, f… the coaches, GM , owners

  81. D-Rok Says:

And coupled with the fact that the run-blocking is poor, also, leads me to believe the line is our biggest problem.

Sorry, not gonna hate on Brady nor Gabbert nor Trask, nor am I going to hype up any of the 3. The team is not getting the job done, period.

  82. Outsider Says:

Because he’s the GOAT. The criticism is more than warranted. He’s made many errant throws and decisions, there’s no denying that!!

  83. NEfan Says:

Ttsucs, those 3 all lower tier O’s I did forget PJ Walker. Beating up on the weak and puffing out your chest is a poser. Not to mention the ones Bucs lost to.

I never said the O was playing well or Brady, there are failures everywhere including the D. Other than R.White, punter and Thompkins (small sample size), what positive attribute have you seen on this team?

Beasley coming out of retirement after begging Brady to play with him and leaving within 2 weeks says it all. I say BL on that one.

  84. JD Says:

No doubt Brady has not played Brady-like! I just don’t know who I’d rather have at this point. Think about how much knowledge this guy has. I know what I saw on tv. Brady was definitely arguing with leftwich.

  85. Bucsbeast Says:

Cool story Joe. In other articles you’ve written stating Brady has his own meetings with players and makes offensive changes. So is it all Leftwich, or is the 45 year old Hero calling plays and missing open wrs or living in a check down world. The moral of the story is Brady is GONE once the season is over. He has no ties here. He was 100% going to Miami if he could’ve gotten out of his contract this year. Did we all forget that? Brady got us the Covid ring and made the Bucs relevant again, but I’ll bet dollars to nickels, he goes to another team next season.

  86. NEfan Says:

Bucsbeat@ reading is fundamental, try it some time. Bowles in a presser was asked about it and said that is NOT true.

  87. Scooter Says:

Head Coaches and Quarterbacks are judged by Wins and Loses.

  88. ocala Says:

We have dumb fans if they think Brady is the problem with this football team.

  89. Grego Says:

Most of the blame has to fall on Leftwich. His play calling has been atrocious. It’s hard to sustain drives when you’re calling WR screens getting little or no yards and completely abandoning the run. I get it the run game isn’t amazing but geez, you can’t pass every down. It’s almost as if he is tied to a script instead of game planning or scheming. There is no creativity with play calling or skill player usage.

  90. Defense Rules Says:

Joe … ‘You are misapplying Joe’s fear. The Bucs still have a prayer of a playoff berth. It’s too late to tank with Kyle Trask.’

You did it again Joe. Why would you equate starting Kyle Trask with tanking? None of us have even seen him play in a real NFL game with our starting lineup (bad as it is), so how can you or any of us know how well he’d play or what the outcome would be?

You keep throwing up his only dressing for 1 game. THAT’S not on him; that’s on the coaches, it was their decision not his. Those SAME COACHES who you continually denigrate article after article. So now all of a sudden they’re spot on for not allowing him to dress for a game? Now it’s OK that when we’re losing 28-0 at halftime to a much better team that those same coaches keep The GOAT in the lineup instead of giving Trask a shot?

I have zero idea if Kyle Trask will become a competent NFL starting QB or not. None of us do; how could we? I do know that that will never happen with this coaching staff not allowing him get into any games. We spent a 2nd Round pick for a QB who’s never being allowed to even dress for games. Far as I’m concerned, if they have no intention of ever giving him an opportunity (beyond the preseason’s opportunity to work with future delivery men) then they should allow him to go to another team that will give him an opportunity.

  91. Duane Says:

Brady is first in the NFC in passing yardage, but what is he ranked in TD passes? Stats are for losers. Always easy to play with the numbers to fit a narrative. I cannot be impressed with the best passer in the NFC if all it gets you 6-7 record with a 28th ranked offense. The notion that we are even considering running this back next year is bizarre. Enjoy those Big Storms more responsibly )

  92. Show Me the TDs Says:

No one is disputing that Brady is the GOAT, but he is not playing well NOW. Some of the posters want to send him out on the field in a wheelchair when he’s in his 90’s and they’ll claim, but but, he’s the GOAT!

  93. D-Rok Says:

Reading this article and all the comments, WOW! Lots of people are pissed off today. Me, I’m more disappointed that somehow we pissed away our chance this year. Sure we are still mathematically in “it,” but who thinks we have a chance of playing well in post-season with the way we’ve been playing?

No chance at all unless something radically changes, for the better.

  94. NEfan Says:

All you Trask lovers, he is THIRD on the depth chart. Gabbert plays if they sit Brady. These are the same delusional people who believe Peyton would coach for Tampa.

  95. Your Mom Says:

ease off the high horse Joe… Brady is ranked 22nd in passer rating. All yards and no touchdowns does not a winner make.

  96. Defense Rules Says:

Rod Munch … ‘Here’s the deal – if you watch this offense and think Brady is the problem, then you are what is called, a low-T, low IQ, idiot who has no idea what they’re watching.’

You never cease to amaze me Rod. So anyone who disagrees with YOU is, and I quote, ‘a low-T, low IQ, idiot who has no idea what they’re watching’. Aahh yes, I love it. Your command of the English language is, uhhh, underwhelming.

When you have an OLine like ours, being an immobile QB is not an asset, it’s a liability. And when your offense was predicated largely on intermediate & deep passes, but you can’t consistently make those any longer, that’s a liability also. And playing a young person’s game when you’re 45 years old is also a liability; you tend to do things to prevent hard hits & injuries that you maybe didn’t do in your youth (such as not hold the ball as long?). I think they call that WISDOM but you’d have to ask Solomon to explain that to you Rod.

  97. NEfan Says:

All I know is the flailing O now has to put up 36 points to beat rookie QB’s. PLAYOFFS???

  98. Defense Rules Says:

NEfan … Yes Trask is third on our depth chart, but Gabbert isn’t the future for this franchise (we’ve already seen what his bag of tricks looks like). Trask may not be either, but we’ll never find out with him stuck in 3rd place.

Oh BTW, the one who surely put him in 3rd chair behind Gabbert is Leftwich. Chew on that for awhile (Hint: the same OC who started the rookie Goedeke BEFORE properly training him for the position).

  99. Duane Says:

The beauty of all the speculation is that we dont have to wait too long to see it plays out. I think this team still makes the playoffs. I am ambivalent as to how the Goat leads them in the postseason, but there has been little to suggest to me that he will be successful. He has been a sideshow experience this year, and a lame one at that with a bunch of drama few football fans care about. Very few of the greats go out on top, and this guy has passed on many opportunities to ride out into the sunset.

  100. JimmyfromNY Says:

Bring any other quarterback in football, and put them behind this of line with this play, caller these wide receivers who can’t open , running game , and tell me if they’re stats would be better. Tell me what the record would be? . Patrick, Mahomes and Josh Allen are turning the ball over in bunches with Top5 0fence of lines, elite play callers and overall weapons. Joe Burrow wouldn’t survive in this off fence with these guys not getting open. Who else do you want? The people calling for Trask don’t really believe that he would im Pryor anything just moreBrady trolling . Just when people give up with them, he comes back, he will win three of the last four games and beat Dallas in the playoffs.

  101. Defense Rules Says:

NEfan … Yes, the defense allowed 35 points Sunday and that stunk. Of course the offense’s THREE turnovers didn’t help much. Neither did losing Vea 4 plays into the game, nor having 4 other starters out injured. But hey, go for it. BOTH the defense AND the offense stunk it up Sunday. Do you have anything nice to say about the Special Teams?

  102. Joe Says:

The 99.6 Trask posted in the final preseason game (higher than both Gabbert and Brady) looks pretty good, eh?

    ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are so desperate you are citing bogus, bogus numbers.

Preseason QB ratings!!!! Joes read it all now. Give it up Albert!

Preseason QB ratings … aaaaahhh HAHAHAHAHAJAHAHAHA!!!!!

    🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆

  103. Big pirate Says:

The forward pass?? Many go sideways. Look, Brady is making a business decision whenever he drops back to pass. He’s not gonna hold on to the ball long enough to get hit. He can’t run around. So he throws 10 quick slants a game and checks it down. He’s a great qb just not right for this team under ther circumstances. Also his deep ball is toast.

  104. mg Says:

hand jive kraft would love to have TB-12

  105. NEfan Says:

DR, yes Thompkins looked great. ANOTHER coaching blunder, this guy has been collecting dust on the practice squad for 12 weeks. I didn’t follow him that much but many on this site have been calling for him to get a chance. I’d like to see him added to the O like the Pat’s did the rookie Jones who continues to shine.

DR, please stop blowing smoke up the D’s arse. I agree BL is horrible and the O is not good including Brady’s play for whatever reason(s) but please don’t tell me this D is good. They sometimes keep lousy O’s under 20 points most times not. I am just tired of hearing how bad the O is and the D is top ten playing against the likes of PJ Walker,Mariotta,Trubinsky/Pickens, Purdy, Dalton, Brisset. Open your eyes, there is talent and the repetitive lack of execution points to one thing, COACHING across the board.

  106. John Says:

Bunch of Eagles fans on this site sooner than later Joe

  107. beano Says:

    I don’t always look at Joe’s archives,
But when I do, I find gems,
Like this sob story over the Bucs not being able to draft Johnny Manziel:

“Can you imagine the excitement today if the team had picked Manziel? Can you imagine the impact? He has been the finest playmaker in college football over the last two years. YOUR EYES TELL YOU THE KID CAN PLAY.”

    LOL

  108. orlbucfan Says:

Big difference between attempts and actual completed passes, right? Brady hasn’t done very well lately in the second category. A lot of his attempts land at the feet of his receivers. He can change any call he wants, but he’s not doing it. He’s too old, and slow. A lot of players are demoralized. He needs to retire or be benched this next game if he starts repeating that pattern.

  109. Crickett Baker Says:

Tom would have had about double the touchdowns if penalties were not called. Remember that. I have no idea whatsoever why the coaches won’t play Trask at all, or not tell us about Jensen or call such stupid plays. I don’t blame Tom for anything except he did not play a great game by any stretch, but hardly anyone else did, either, and he has played so many good ones I can’t dwell on it. I think we need a new HC no matter what, though. If it is Leftwitch then he would have already been fired by a good HC.

  110. ClwJB Says:

In now way should Bowles be given another chance

He did the same thing with the Jets – 3 OC in his tenure? All failed

He doesn’t deserve to be a HC!!!!!

This O isn’t on Brady- yes he has limits in arm strength and mobility, but a real play caller got Joe Flacco some huge yards just this year –

With the same team that fired Todd Bowles

Dude is a BUST as a HC, he does not have it

  111. NEfan Says:

Oralbuc, get your facts straight. Brady’s completion % is the same as Mahomes better than Allen, Cousins, Roger’s, Tua, Hebert and many others and he THROWS MORE!!! Next idiot.

  112. Al Says:

Bench brady and let carl nassab play QB. It would be an upgrade.

  113. DerpDerp Says:

The problem isn’t completion % or passing yards by TB12. It’s the simply fact that his touchdown % is 2.9%. He’s 30 out of 36 QB’s this season.

Last I checked, yards or completion % don’t win games, points do.

    https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/player-stat/touchdown-percentage

  114. Mike Johnson Says:

Brady is the GOAT. No question with that. But Tom Brady has not played well this year. The whole team has not played well. You can shout injuries. Hell, every teams got’um. Unless you are living in this alter universe, you know this is not a Superbowl team. Not even close. The Bengals are comin. And you will see the gifts of a young mobile QB. If Brady were really smart? He’d manage a 1 yr deal with the PATS. Go back to where it all started. Now that’s the right farewell tour. And he won’t have to play every game either. He stays here in Tampa, and his chances of being carted off go up.

  115. gotbbucs Says:

    Here are the facts:
Brady is missing deep balls outside the numbers
Brady is missing intermediate out patterns.
Brady is unwilling to go through progressions for fear of the hit,
Brady thus is missing wide open reads
Brady can’t/won’t navigate the pocket anymore

The o-line is broken, and given the immobility of the QB and design of the offense, there is nothing that can be done about it at this point. This offense is dead in the water, and there is nothing Brady can do to fix it.
Brady isn’t the problem, but he isn’t a solution at this point either, and he sure as hell shouldn’t be counted on as the future for another season.

  116. NEfan Says:

And the receivers can’t catch softballs or separate like quality wr’s do. DEAD LAST in rushing, DEAD LAST!!!! I guess that counts for nothing. Should Lenny retire and White and Vaughn go work at the local Home Depot???

  117. BA’s Red Pen Says:

Anyone calling for Trask is a complete fool.

  118. The Beer Whisperer Says:

“The rule of 3” topics to avoid in public discussions. To keep things civil.

    1) Politics
    2) Religion
    3) Tom Brady

  119. Bucschamp Says:

we need good ol arians back. he’s the only one not afraid of pointing out brady’s issues.

  120. NEfan Says:

Yes BA does, that’s the only way he can prevent the humiliation from insisting the worst coaching tandem in the NFL lead a talented no longer SB contender. Pass the buck BA.

  121. ChrisBuc23 Says:

Tb 12 is the goat no doubt but I think it’s time to move on from him after this year because it is time to get younger at the position. We need to find our young mobile qb for the future like most teams that are successful have. I’m also tired of the will he stay or go chatter when we need stability at the qb position. Just my two cents.

  122. steele Says:

There is no new news here. Brady is not washed but belongs on a team that is specifically—specifically—geared to him, in his current state (still fully capable, but slightly diminished and slightly hurt). Coached by authoritative, smart individuals (who do not exist with this regime), fully stocked with elite talent at most positions. In other words, ALL-IN just for him, the way the Broncos won SBs with Elway and Manning in their final seasons.

Brady came out of retirement, stupidly, and walked back into a NON-ALL IN situation, and has wound up drowning in a mess, exemplified by horrible coaching. A questionable locker room (lost since the AB incident), full of lazy, ambivalent minds who are not enthused about his presence. JAGs and practice squadders with attitudes.

But you know what? Brady is insane. He loves the game so much, he might have no regrets.

In his fevered mind, in which he loves outsized challenges, he probably believes that he can still get to a Super Bowl. EVEN NOW.

The problem is, his level of intensity is not matched by his jaded teammates and definitely not by Bowles and Leftwich, who are not equipped in any way to meet such a challenge. Even if they wanted to.

  123. Buczilla Says:

Brady isn’t playing lights out like he normally does, but a life crisis can do that to you. Bowles is the man in charge and he’s gods awful at his job. Leftwich and his buffoonery is as much on Bowles as it is the front office since they have allowed this nonesense to continue. Unless we improve drastically in these last few games, both Bowles and Leftwich have got to go.

Licht has turned into an amazingly good gm, but he obviously gave his endorsement of both Bowles and leftwich, so that’s on him. He’s also done nothing to rectify the situation and try to put out some fires. At the very least, Byron should have been gone after the loss to the panthers. Sitting around with your hands in your pockets while your house burns down is not a good look. I’d rather retain Licht, but if a new coach wants to clean house, I won’t lose any sleep. What’s wrong with keeping most of the coordinators and elevating Harold Goodwin to head coach? Regardless, if Brady agrees to stay another year, I’m making every change that he wants.

  124. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I lay none of this at Brady’s feet. Give him a good offensive line and people that actually catch passes, and most of his throws are on the money.

The problem is coaching and injuries. Jensen being out on the line has done the most damage.

Smith is having issues because he is trying to cover for the guy next to him.

Fans forget that players are great when we lose, and I get that, but let’s not forget why the losing is happening…and it is not a quarterback issue. Brady is better than most QBs in the league…even now.

  125. brooks Says:

When you have an old classic car that’s still looks good and runs good what do you do you put it in the garage

  126. BOAT Says:

The problem is Bowles and Lefwitch. Bowles is a horrendous head coach and Leftwich is probably the worst coordinator in the NFL.

Jets fans are very clear in their view that Bowles is one of the worst head coaches the team ever had, if not the worst. Leftwich’s play calling on offense is absurd.

Now we have a very obvious and thinly veiled smear campaign going on in the press, that is clearly designed to place all of the blame on Brady. And sadly, it looks like a large portion of the Buc fan base is falling for it. It’s quite an indictment on the fan base.

BA has to share some culpability in all of this, due to his forcing these coaches on the team. Bowles and Leftwich should have been fired weeks ago, and it also shows poorly on the GM that they have not been fired yet.

Todd Bowles’ NFL head coaching resume:

    6 seasons, 3 teams

    32 wins, 48 losses
    0 playoff appearances

Ditto Been saying this all year! But all of you Brady haters won’t see the facts on the field because…

    A. You have never played a single down of organized football!
    B. You are still pissed at Winston the interception machine being run off!
C.You refuse to see that Brady can’t trust his O-line!

    I do too! Thank you!
