Saints Get Rolled By Ravens; Falcons-Panthers Showdown Is Thursday

November 8th, 2022

No “W” for bumbling Saints.

The chips are stacking up nicely for the Bucs in the NFC South.

In New Orleans, Jameis Winston keeps watching Andy Dalton from the bench and Alvin Kamara looks like an average running back.

The slimy Saints got rolled by two touchdowns last night at home to Baltimore. And it wasn’t that close. The Saints scored a touchdown with about four minutes left to tighten the final score at 27-13.

New Orleans fell to 3-6, a record the Bucs likely would own if Cooper Kupp didn’t slide on a 2nd-and-10 run with 1:42 remaining against the Bucs on Sunday. Thanks, Cooper!

On Thursday, the Falcons (4-5) head to Carolina (2-7) for a rematch of their wild overtime game on Oct. 3o. Atlanta won that 37-34 after the Panthers choked repeatedly with dumb penalties and missed field goals. Joe has to think Panthers players will be hungry for revenge — before they completely (and intentionally) tank their season.

A Panthers win would be pure gold for the Bucs in their quest to win the NFC South.

    Where is OnielBucs right now?
I am dying to know how JW2 Can’t even get a shot in that shyte show.

  2. Vance Says:

We need a lot of help from our division. Fingers crossed we get a chance at the playoffs. Unlikely but we can hope.

  3. Joe in Michigan Says:

Poor Oneilbuc…If your favorite QB can’t get playing time on a 3-6 team, that’s not good.

  4. FortMyersDave Says:

Saints actually looked worse than the Bucs did against the Ravens, given their qb situation it is plausible that they might start tanking for a top 5 pick in 2023. As bad as the Bucs are, it might be for all the marbles in week 18 vs the ATL with 8-9 or 7-10 winning the division. Of course that is if the Bucs do not go full tank themselves if they get boat raced by Seattle as they usually **** the bed in these international games in which the Glazers always give up a home game in return for some extra coin.

    Fire Leftwich

I was wondering about that slide by Kupp as well.

Wins are as scarce as hens teeth right now.

It does not look good for the Bucs in Berlin.

    We shall see

Right now the Bucs Head Coach is doing about as well as Capt Clink running Stalag 13.
Maybe some apple strudel for Shultz, could give a slight advantage lol

HOPE they can at least be competative, then they have a chance, but that is a big maybe against a Seahawk team that playing better for sure than the Bucs.

Lass uns gehen Bucs- Lets Go Bucs!!!!

  11. Stanglassman Says:

Just rewatched the last 2 minutes of the game. I don’t think Kupp would have picked up the 1st down. More importantly Kupp didn’t think so. It probably would have been 3-2. It would have been much difficult to stop them on third down. Kupp Probably should not have slid but it’s not that likely he gets that first and not a forgone conclusion they pick up that 1st in the 3rd down.

In the scheme of things, Marcus might end up being the more serviceable QB of the two top draft picks. Looks like the first game of both their careers told us something after all.

As long as you enjoy ugly nailbiters that come down to the end , you are going to love the rest of this season. Although I dfid see an improve on the Dline with Hicks back-pray he stays healthy. Oline cannot get it done.

  14. Zoocomics Says:

Important note to those that think we looked better than the Saints vs Ravens.

Ravens played their style of football in the first half vs. the Saints, which is run, run, and run. Something they DID NOT do against the Bucs in the first half, hence the success we had against them. They saw our beat up secondary and Greg Roman completely flipped the script and tried to take advantage of it, yet it failed them. Certainly a missed opportunity to put more points on them in that first half of football, which could have kept them a bit more 1 or 2 dimensional in that second half.

I keep hoping any day they gonna say Jesen back at practice

Colonel Klink, August 1976 Buc. The man earned his rank. 😆

In no way shape or form does this current win make up for the continued AWFUL HORRENDOUS offense.
This isn’t a bad stretch. This is who they are.
9 games in and they still can’t figure it out.
We won. Great. But this offense is bad. Consistently bad. Leftwich was terrible again.
I suggest you temper your expectations after this win. We came this close)( to being 3-6 right now.

For God’s sake, please stop using Google Translator to write something in German! It’s nearly guaranteed to fire backwards. ‘Lasst uns gehen’ is the translation of ‘Let’s leave’ and I am quite sure you won’t say that, August.

Auf geht’s Bucs! or in English Let’s go, Bucs!

  20. Pewter Power Says:

Don’t count on panthers winning this game so Friday we will still be tied with the falcons

I knew the Ravens would KILL the Saints because they are a very very good Team, who are also in great football shape!
The Ravens are also very well coached.
At the start of this season, we all picked ourselves to easily win this weak division. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

On another subject, The Colts fired their head coach Frank Reich and their psycho owner Jim Irsay appointed Jeff Saturday as head coach!
Of course, Jeff Saturday was their all world center, but he has absolutely NO Head Coaching experience.
And instead of firing their general manager, the Colts chose to keep him.

I agree with the poster who said that Frank Reich would be a great hire for us!

After the game I wasn’t wondering about the Cooper Kupp slide, I was wondering how many games the Bucs would have won this year if Tom Brady wasn’t the QB. I kept coming up with 0. Then I wondered what has Todd Bowles brought to the Bucs as head coach to help them improve? I kept coming up with 0.

  24. orlbucfan Says:

English owes much of its origins to German. Go get a copy of ‘Beowulf’ in German/Old English and look at the 2 languages side-by-side. Fascinating stuff. Have the Bucs ever won one of these games? Nope. It also costs us a home game which is stupid. Talk about ‘away’ games. Now, how many games would the Bucs win this year without Brady? We’ll never know, won’t we?

    August 1976,

Very coincidental comment as I’m in Europe now, just ate some apple strudel a few hours ago, and sent a comment to a friend who loves Hogan’s Heroes about Sgt Schultz and strudel.

  26. Jonny Says:

Saints are limiting their upside by playing Dalton over Jameis in my opinion. You can count on Dalton to lose games like yesterday. Jameis is capable of helping saints lose games they should win, and also the other way around.

The aints and their whole fan base can eat a d!&@

  28. Tye Says:

Falcons have an extremely weak schedule left so losing to the pitiful Panthers would be golden!…

The Saints were doomed from the time they signed Winston… It is highly likely he is done… at least as a starter in this league…

The most important of all, the Bucs HAVE to play significantly better on Sunday and beat the Seahawks if any of this is going to truly matter…
