Did Raheem Morris Blow Sunday’s Game?

November 8th, 2022

Outsmarted himself?

Joe has never seen an offense with so much talent struggle so.

That’s the Bucs offense right now. Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris had the Bucs locked up all game long Sunday — until the final minutes.

Joe liked how Rah got creative from time to time using All-World defensive tackle Aaron Donald at end. But it seems in crunch time, Rah let his guard down and allowed the Bucs and Tom Brady to March down the field and score the game-winner.

Veteran NFL writer Clark Judge wagged a finger at Rah claiming Brady is the last quarterback to give a break in the final minute.

Question for Rams’ defensive coordinator Raheem Morris: Why was nobody defending the sidelines on Tampa Bay’s game-winning drive? The Bucs had no timeouts. Seems so simple. Yet it didn’t happen.

Joe doesn’t know if that is truly the case. The long pass to Cade Otton was a seam route, hardly a sideline play.

Joe guesses Rah figured he would allow shorter passes to the sidelines to eat clock. It almost worked.

Thank goodness Brady works in Tampa.

They were forced to respect Scotty Miller’s speed, that is why he had that cushion.
Evans or Godwin would have been challenged by Raheem, but Scotty;s speed has to be respected.

There’s a reason Raheehaw is Raheehaw.

“Pull down your big boy pants and put your face on people.”

Eating a W is strange. Nothing outstranges the Rahoho.

Almost puked for half a sec thinking it was fournette up the middle again on that last play from the 1.

  5. BA’s Red Pen Says:

They were forced to respect Scotty’s speed and if Kyle Trask was quarterback the Bucs would be undefeated.

LMBAO at a NFL DB being more afraid of Lil Scotty running by them than Mike Evan’s or Chris Godwin when he has never shown an ability to beat a press/jam at the line of scrimmage. He is fast, but given its football and not a foot race he is limited unless allowed to release long untouched, and then you gotta pray he actually catches it.

  7. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

I’m not totally convinced about “so much talent”. Fournette is not special and the oline is missing a lot. Smith has reverted to the mean. Should be much better than this but league scoring records are safe.

Kendrick could’ve had at least 3 DPIs called against him.

when Scotty dropped that TD I could hear David Gilmore, (Pink Floyd), singing “My hands felt just like 2 balloons” hahahhaha

Raheem still owes the Bucs many many Ws. Will take it as a downpayment

I have a “tongue in cheek” theory. Since Bowles dialed up a dumb defensive alignment in last years playoff gift to the Rams in the last few seconds, Raheem having once been the head coach here decided to return the favor with a soft defense at the end. Of course Tom did what Tom does and sliced and diced.

NFL Players are funny. I wanted Miller to get cut & 2 months later in comes in late 4qtr & balls!!! I forgive him 100% for TD drop earlier. Glad he is on team. Speed kills especially when D is Gassed…

I think Raheem blew it… if I recall, he has before in other games as the Rams DC.

  14. LakelandSteve Says:

Freaking prevent defense works in Tampa’s favor for once. Thanks Raheem.

The bucs are in the same boat

Morris didn’t blow it. When Brady is allowed to just get into the short passing game and manipulate the defense he’s borderline unstoppable. He’s done it in almost every game this year at one point or another, which makes it so frustrating as to why he’s still listening to the voice in his headset and looking at his wrist for the plays.
This guy has GOATed himself with his ability to disect defenses in the short passing game and play action passing game, yet here we are with this staff once again trying to force him into their scheme. Who do you trust, Tom Brady or Sluggo Leftwich? Leftwich should just be giving Brady bits of information that the sideline and booth are seeing and let Brady call the offense on the field.

The BUCS run on first and one all the time. Tricked them that time.

  18. Davenport Says:

Raheem is a 2nd rate DC and, if given another show, he’ll be a 3rd HC.

  19. Goatfarmer Says:

Raheem blows a lot more than one game.
