Rachaad White Makes Case To Carry The Scepter For “Angry Runs”

November 13th, 2022

Bucs RB Rachaad White floors Seattle S Quandre Diggs

Just give it to him!

Joe cannot remember if any Bucs running back was nominated for NFL Network’s “Scepter Runs” given out each week on “Good Morning Football.” Mike Evans got it last year, as did the entire Bucs team once. But today in Munich, Rachaad White made the case he should get the scepter for a run he made that made Mike Alstott smile.

With White running for a 29-yard gain up the left sideline, Quandre Diggs tried to get in position to get White and appeared to have him boxed in. White sort of stutter-stepped and then laid into Barton with a right, throwing Diggs back about three yards flat on his back.

It looked like a bouncer tossing an unruly drunk who tried to charge him.

You. Just. Got. Conte’ed!

Joe asked White if his stutter-step was a move to set up the stiff arm. White seemed to suggest that it was a spur-of-the-moment thing that wasn’t planned.

“I wanted to set an example,” White said of the blast to Diggs’ head.

Don’t try to explain to Joe that stiff arm didn’t fire up White’s teammates. Moves like that resonate.

It was awesome how the Bucs decided to take it to the Seahawks. The Bucs were determined to dictate the game.

They did and they won. Funny how that works.

  5. The Big Sombrero Says:

I’ve been saying, “Just run White”.
    Facts!!!!

  6. KiddG941 Says:

Loved how this guy brought back flashbacks of Marshawn Lynch. I say allow.h to carry on 3rd downs. What a beast!

  7. Chesapeake Bucs Fan Says:

I still say that White goes down way too easily on most of his runs. Yeah, he’s great when he gets some room to let loose, but in short yardage he pretty much goes down on first contact. Needs to muscle up I guess.

  8. BuxfaninTX Says:

    White deserves the Sceptre!

  10. Buc50 Says:

It wasn’t quite Derrick Henry but it was a close as any Buc’s RB will ever get.

    Nice!!!!

  12. Jason Says:

I remember after White got drafted, and going into camp, he said he was coming for the starting job.
    Mission accomplished!

  13. Bob in valrico Says:

Two things i liked. He was patient and seemed to find smaller holes for good gains. I have seen him block in pass protection. I have not seen Lenny do this recently, he seems to always run out in a pattern.

  14. Miller5252 Says:

Thanks for the video Joe! I’m sure if Conte was watching he dove under a table in a ball with cold sweats! That was a King Henry stiff arm. Very very impressive! The way he’s going, playoff Lenny might be getting a few more splinters.

Devin White won it during the Super Bowl run for that pick in the playoffs against the Saints. Heck of a game! Hope was even better in person Joe!

  15. Kidfloflo Says:

Did i just see a buc running back on the T.V ticker scroll by as a top five leader in fantasy points!? Well I’ll be

  16. Brandon Says:

It was a punctuation point to his claiming of the starting job. He’s clearly the best option back there right now.

  17. Eric Wolfe Says:

White did a tremendous statement game against a good winning team in a super big international game. Would love to see him get the starting job just like he said he was going to do. GO BUCS.

  18. Daryl Green Says:

Yes it’s his job. Young man think about your future and
go get that money. Now get Vaughn more reps.

How in the hell you don’t have your passport ready!!! Tip toe Lenny😂😂

  19. Ant Says:

Dude I thought Joe reported on the BUCS Chris Godwin has one against the saints comn man you gotta do better

  20. yucboy Says:

RoJo won angry runs a couple years ago

  21. westernbuc Says:

White is lighting. Lenny is thunder. No reason why both these guys can’t pound the ball down opposing defenses throats.

  22. kyle Says:

you must be a democrat if you cant see that white is rb1.. homeboy played great, smart and physical.. hes a playmaker!!

  23. Pryda…sec 147 Says:

Love this kid I can see him carrying more of the load in the game and bring in Lenny to punish them in the 4th

  24. David Says:

Love Lenny, need to be grateful for what he did during the Super Bowl run but White is the real deal. Smooth and explosive through the hole.

Lenny just seems to always look for contact, even at the expense of yards. He tries to go low to hit the defender when plenty of times it seems he could make a move and get around him.

  25. David Says:

    😡 🏃🏿!!!

  26. Wild Bill Says:

Both backs have talent. But White is so quick and changes direction on a dime. Exciting to watch him. Lenny is no slouch either. Nice change of speed and power to alternate. White deserves more carries for sure, but Lenny is no slouch and gets tough extra yards. Bucs got a two headed backfield now for sure.

  27. Mikadeemas Says:

^^^^^^Upthegut for the score! Funny! GO BUCS!!

  28. rashad brown Says:

Ronald Jones received the award once.

  29. D-Rok Says:

    R. White over there in Germany throwing guys outta the club. Magnificent! LOVED IT.

  30. BUC CHEEKS Says:

Perfect combo now that White is feeling it! Play White early, let Lenny hammer them late! Still missing the choo choo train in the 4th haha great times #40

  31. Erik Hesson - Fine Artist - Founder of UniqueModernArt.com Says:

DIGGS GOT THROWN OUT THE CLUB!

FINALY A BUC DOING THAT TO SOMEONE ELSE FOR A CHANGE!!!

White is RB1 now or we protest in front of RayJay in 3 weeks.

  32. steele Says:

Rachaad is a better than Lenny. But right now, that’s not saying much. So is Ke. Against a lesser team, they all did fine, so did Lenny, but let’s not get carried away (pun intended).

White is a long strider. He is not quick or explosive. He’s patient finding creases, and that works against some opponents, but not great ones. He is not Marshawn Lynch. (“Throwing” a guy towards the direction he is moving looks more impressive than it is.) He has a lot to prove before he deserves to be seen as a #1 feature back.

Finding that feature back should still be an offseason priority. But between OneBuc’s “we already invested” agenda, and Rachaad’s big ego, nothing will be done.

  33. Bucschamp Says:

hes bouncy. he reminds me a bit if Alvin Kamara

  34. ViSyl Says:

Both Lenny and White played well. Both should be used extensively, which will open the play action and passing game.

  35. Matt Ware Says:

This is the original BUC since 1976, I’m encouraged by the Creative Play Calling yesterday, this season may not be at a total loss. However, the game in Munich wasn’t by any means perfect but it’s a start, I believe balanced play will soften up the defenses which we face and allow the Team to establish a beneficial running game. which will help facilitate the play action. By utilizing the upcoming week off to insert a few additional plays into the Offense will help to keep defenses honest going forward (once the starting Center returns) and the offensive line is reset. This is where Jensen calling out coverage is sorely missed, since the coaching was much improved this week and the schemes are a little simpler, going forward game planning, and play calling should help the rookie running back(White) become more effective sooner. GO BUCS!!!

I thought it was the rebukes that couldn’t see kylee?
