Strength Vs. Strength On Sunday

October 6th, 2022

Testing the run defense.

So the Bucs claim to be a stop-the-run-first defense?

It looked the opposite on Sunday night against Dr. Ferdie Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. They gouged the run defense for 155 yards.

You can bet a four-pack of Bromosa that the Bucs’ run defense will be tested on Sunday afternoon when they face Atlanta.

The Dixie-Chicks are a run-first team, in part, because runaround quarterback Marcus Mariota is a horrible thrower. Some 48 percent of the Dixie Chicks’ yards come from the ground and the Dixie Chicks run on first down 70 percent of the time, most in the NFL. Yes, even more than the Bucs.

The stats are provided by Sharp Football Analysis.

Yo, Bucs defense: If you truly are the torchbearers for a defense that stops the run first, you will be tested Sunday. Time after time.

Buckle chin strap. Time to prove your manhood.

we don;t need to give the dixie chix any bulletin board material ; Shaq and White should keep their mouths shut . they get paid to perform ON the field

We don’t appear to be a stop the run defense with the absence of Suh. The
D line is not holding and freeing up the linebackers to make plays.

Patterson being out helps…….I think we’ll get the job done.

I have a feeling, the Bucs defensive front will be more aggressive and play with passion this week. I know it’s poor form to make excuses, but I really believe the upheaval in the Bucs practice schedule last week contributed to their poor showing.

Patterson not going is a huge break for us-
    Suh.

Run D will look like it went through a metamorphosis Sunday. The Bucs will romp, and everybody jumps back on the wagon.

So Bucs fans have stooped to the level of hoping players are injured to help secure a win? The Bucs run D should be intimidated by Patterson? How the mighty have fallen. The results of a two time looser Jets throw away. Fix that first.

Shaq and White need to stay quiet, and Vea needs to act like a beast instead of an inflatable pillow.

That may have been the softest performance I’ve seen from a Buc player since Chris Conte got stiff armed into retirement or Brent Grimes was pretending to tackle cuz he didn’t think he got paid enough.

BTW – remember when Miko Grimes came to JBF and was commenting back and forth with us? Good times lol!

  10. Goatfarmer Says:

The Bucs defense hasn’t stopped the run all year. These overrated, soft bunch of underachievers should be ashamed.

    Yeah, no more flag football….please
