Bowles has already done a lot to quell my concerns. First, he (at least for one game) had his defensive guys knowing their assignments and executing crisply, tackling effectively. Second, he knows his O-lone is much better at run blocking that in pass protection, hence the commitment to the run. And finally I like the way he answers questions and puts one win in perspective. It’s just one game.
I agree that the defense looks improved but why would it take him being promoted to HC from DC to make that happen?
Was BA involved with the defensive calls?
I’m not sure, Dooshbrother. What I heard him say before training camp was emphasizing the Dungy-esque “attention to the details, the little details” but as DC, why he wasn’t doing that last year is beyond me also.
The New York J E T S have truly sucked since 2010. They did manage ONE winning season since then back in 2015 going 10-6!
Oh and who was the coach for that ONE winning season in the past 11 years?

The Glazers need to pay Geezie a superyacht-load full of cash and modeling work for Manchester United so she gets off Tom’s case and quits stressing him out. You know she’s telling him to quit all week between games and threatening divorce –

I discount the Jets resume, because the whole franchise is a dysfunctional mess.
I think Bowles can make it, but right now I have to question who he cut. Too many receivers were kept who were already injured and healthy ones cut.
We need some of those healthy receivers right now.

It’s going to be hard to truly evaluate him until more games are played…so I’m unsure.
We’ll see what he’s really made of if Tom goes down.
