Devin White’s Goal: Shut Up The Superdome

September 14th, 2022

Ssssshhhhh…

The Superdome is one of the loudest, craziest, raucous places in the NFL.

Those Cajuns spend their pregame time getting lubricated on Bourbon Street, a short walk to the Superdome, and carry the party inside with them and unload on opponents.

For Devin White, there are few sweeter sounds than crickets in that dome, he said today. That means the slimy Saints are in trouble.

“For a player like myself, I feed on like that energy,” White said of slimy Saints fans. “It was the same thing with Dallas. You know, you want to shut that crowd up – it’s better than getting your crowd hyped. So I think if everybody takes that same approach – just make them be quiet and don’t give them nothing to cheer about, I think it will all play out in our favor.”

White is right. The one time the Bucs did beat the slimy Saints in New Orleans in the past three years was a game that really counted. And that was the 2020 season’s divisional playoff game. It also happened to be played in a nearly empty stadium due to The Sickness. Former Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians has said many times he’s not sure if the Bucs win that game if it was full of drunken slimy Saints fans.

So White hits the nail on the head. Silence in the Superdome is golden.

Bucs had a great chance to get a win last year there. Winston was running either for his life or by some clever design by Sean Payton till Devin made that crazy tackle or horse collar take your pick and sent him to the locker room. The offense got going but the defense seemed to run out of gas. Refs didn’t help either. It was a one sided game as penalties went. I was pretty bummed out to see their 3rd string QB dominate like that. A lot of playing off the receivers and blown coverages. If the offense can be as successful and not play like they did at home later, the defense should get it done this time and Bucs should win by a decent margin I’d bet.

Yeah the penalties on Bucs were suspect last year. Especially on Gholston’s roughing the passer negating a potentially game changing endzone pick by Antoine Winfield.

Beavis: “Hey the Bucs just scored 34 points in a row.”

Butthead: “Hee hee, I know isn’t it awesome? I mean, No, No, No.”

    CRICKETS.

In all seriousness, I spent 4 years in the Army at Fort Polk, a few hours away from Nawlins. Worst time of my life, to be honest. Them Crazy Cajun Aints fan are no joke – they live their life for the Saints, cuz they aint got nothing better to live for, because let’s be real, look at where they live?

Please, please, SILENCE the NO crowd this week, my beloved Bucs. That would be epic.

I’ll be there repping my red #getlive45 threads! Let’s shut those slimy saints fans up!!!

Brady will almost assuredly go to the silent count. Head bob, one.. two.. four.. if Smith can’t go, could be a long day. Pound the rock and pick your spots.

Todd Bowles was just interviewed and said it is not the Superdome Noise that beats us, it is the Saints.
Todd said we just have to play better, and I agree.

Jameis looking classic 30 getting 4 sacks vs ATL. Bucs are so deep all over defense after week one. Devin White gonna put up 2+ again.

  9. Bucs Fan From- Gainsville Says:

As a Bucs fan we need to be honest and remove bias. Before Brady got here our attendance was trash and nothing close to the energy in the superdome. Saints have owned us for 7 straight games. We can make excuses but let’s just hope we play well. It won’t be an easy game and they are team. Based on how the game has trended in the past Devin won’t be a factor. Our offense will need to step up. BIG
