Devin White: A Win Is Not A Season

Joe has a hunch we are all on the same page here.
Beating the slimy Saints is a top priority. But Joe has a strong idea no one wants to beat the slimy Saints more than the guys who work for a living at One Buc Palace.
Devin White is one of them. He’s now in his fourth season and he’s never seen what a win over the slimy Saints looks like in the regular season.
If the Bucs are to win Sunday at the Superdome, White said it’s just one step and nobody should get ahead of himself.
“A win would just make us 2-0, I don’t think it establishes nothing because after this it would be what, 15 more games left?” White said.”Man, just being consistent is the thing and being consistent from last week and obviously getting better.
“When we watch the film, there was a lot of bad things that we did. Man, we just want to be a better football club and whatever team is next, that’s a team that hopefully, we come to work with and put good stuff on tape.”
Jamel Dean told Joe something similar. Joe asked Dean if the Bucs, tired of losing to the slimy Saints, had this Sunday’s game highlighted on their notifications. Dean said sort of because the Bucs have 17 games highlighted on their phone calendars.

With the huge upgrade of our secondary we may have a chance. Jamel Dean is light years better than SMB. Logan Ryan is much better too. The fact that SMB and Neal couldn’t even get in the game except on special teams means that we are great on all 3 levels of the defense. We should fear on Jamie’s this weekend.

Falcons put up over 100 yards rushing against them and was scoring on their defense easily… only Saints TD for 3 quarters was Taysom Hill running it in…
If the Falcons not had screwed it up, they win!

THAT’S a great way for this team to look at each game. One step at a time, keeping the goal of a SB championship clearly in focus and improving game after game.

Great attitude from White and Dean, and hopefully that’s the mindset of the whole team. One game at a time. Get better each week. It’s a long season.

Bowles’ Defense sending the DBs into sack action sure reminded me of another great Bucs D. That’s what I’ve been wanting to see since BA brought Bowles with him.
