I never thought this defense was as good as the numbers said they were. They played 2 crappies offenses. They are finally playing a decent offense and it’s showing! The injuries and suspension of ME is glaring today since we are finally playing from behind! I don’t see us pulling this one out. Gonna be even harder next week against KC…they have a legit offense!

In the first real test (let’s be honest, both Dallas and NO offense are garbage…) our Defense looks exactly like last year. No pressure on the QB, WRs running free and bad tackling.

Francisco, they at least have a great QB, 2 great running backs and at least 1 decent receiver…so they are the best offense we’ve played so far. Defense is getting exposed…the run D is crap this year and the opposing team isn’t playing throw heavy offense. If we play the same way against KC we’ll lose by 2-3 touchdowns, easily. They better get their heads out of their azzes and do something in the 2nd half.

It’s still halftime. If first half is any indication, all of the SB hype after 2-0, “great defense” etc….embarrassing and very premature. This D is totally soft upfront. Yes, Hicks is out, but still not an excuse for THIS brand of cream puff. JTS is not a star, and isn’t getting it done. Offense? Yes, major injury problem this game but still not excuse.
Even if they come back and win this one, major work needs to be done.

I could nitpick the defense. Not doing it. In the last two years we see this offense play awful first halves like this. We play too much from behind. This offense was just as much responsible for our playoff exit last year and we are heading down the same track if Brady and his offense dont step up and start leading. We cant be playing down 3 scores with 3 points and expect to go far and this is very much a pattern.
Also, I am not calling us a good offense this year til we can get a 3rd & 1. Its statting to tick me off at this point.

Our D is mentally weak… they play well the first 2 weeks of the season and think they are the Gods… then get some adversity (an actually challenging Packers offense) and they just crumble… as an ex coach said: you are not as good as you think when you win or as bad as you feel when you loose. We are playing like crap. JTS was stupid to and get to Rodgers when he was the only one covering their receiver. He let his receiver go, and Bam Rodgers made us pay.
Our 3rd string left tackle had Brate to Chip, yet he set up way too far back, and the result was a sack on Brady.
Constantly blitzing these guys is not working. They have a great O Line, especially with the return of Bahktiari, who is throwing JTS around like a rag doll.
I hope we make some adjustments, because if we lose to Green Bay Today, the NFC Championship will go through Green Bay, and God help us, if we have to play them in Green Bay.

August… it was part of winning a SB. But has backslidden since then. There was talk that the D we thought we were going to see after the way it played in the SB, was going to arrive the following year. It didn’t. We thought it might have arrived this year. And unless the second half is night and day from the first half. it hasn’t. We know when Brady retires the O will take a step or two back. The question is, can we count on the Defense to ever again reach that SB game level. Or is it a pipe dream.

The slant plays were working and then second rate Perriman fumbled. You have to continue to throw slants to second raters. It’s the way to beat the Pack. Byron has gone away from that to zero success. Call the quick slants and if they fumble, that’s on them but these plays are right now on BL.
