Todd Bowles: Tom Brady Will Be “Back This Week Early”

It’s official again. Sort of.
Tom Brady will return to the Bucs early this week, head coach Todd Bowles said this afternoon. Specifically, Bowles said Brady will be “back this week early.”
Adam Schefter of BSPN’s Twitter just prior to the news conference (maybe the four-letter isn’t totally iced out by the Brady camp?) noted the greatest quarterback who ever lived plans to return to the Bucs somewhat quickly.
If Brady plays well — who doesn’t expect him to? — Joe really hopes owners will catch a clue and rid America of this stain on society known as preseason football.
Sadly, Joe doubts they will get the hint.
[UPDATE: 2:15 p.m.:] Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, along with Mike Garafolo, reports Brady will be back at One Buc Palace tomorrow.

The Masked Singer rumor isn’t true. Benjamin Allbright reported that it was false. Why can’t people accept that he stepped away for “personal reasons.” He wanted more work/life balance, and that would include spending time with his family, not filming The Masked Singer. You people will believe any Reddit conspiracy, and that’s scary.

Super simple. TB12 is actually more “All In” than he ever has been. He took this vacation with the family because for the next 4 months you’re not going to want to be around Daddy. TB12 wants that perfect season, and that perfect game.
When it comes to “Killer Instinct” my top 3 are Ty Cobb, Kobe Bryant, and Tom Brady.
I believe TB12 is going to try and take that number 1 spot this year.

Brady walks in and everything is fine again, like nothing ever happened? It’s possible but for the lingering radiation and vapor. Will anyone come clean about anything?
I don’t even care so much about Brady’s disappearance as much as Bowles’ handling of the product on the field so far. You shouldn’t need Brady to address the OL. Or the pass rush. Or the very sloppy performances vs. Dolphins and Titans. Things should be so good that 45 yr old henpecked Tommy should have it as easy as noodle-armed Peyton Manning did in his last season, when he essentially place-held to a SB.

Buccos, I’m pretty sure that anyone can watch what they want, no matter what team they root for. My comment was about Bird saying it was a lie that the show wasn’t done being filmed. It’s not a lie. It’s done, just not aired. I really don’t care if he’s on the show or not. I’m just calling him out on spreading inaccurate information.

Brady stipulated that if he were to come out of retirement then he was going to be able to take time off during training camp. A)
Brady values the time he spends chucking the ball with his pass catchers. He does not value standing in the hot sun watching others do drills.
I believe the Bucs were hoping that Brady would change his mind once camp started. Didn’t happen.

@steele I love your posts. You’re not looking at this team through rose colored glasses. There has been so much propaganda pushed by some in the media about the OL. Baghdad Bob would be proud. This Hainsey thing really infuriated me. This guy has never taken a snap as C in the NFL and they’re just anointed him starter.
I’m a Michigan alum, and have followed Brady’s entire career. He’s not pleased about this OL situation. Some people keep bringing up the time he had a new center in 2015. Stork was awful! Brady got hit like 17 times in the divisional game. He’s 45 now, and you’re asking the man to drop back 700x with a below average line. That’s elder abuse. I’m sick of people asking our 45 year old QB to carry the entire damn OL. The over/under of Brady having an absolute meltdown on the sidelines with his OL is two games.

Brady will be just fine. When you draft a center in the 3rd round and have him in your system for a year and in the weight room you expect him to be able to start in year 2. Especially if he was smart enough to graduate from Norte Dame. No wonder Bowles isn’t worried. Now LG is another story. Anyone got Marpet’s number on speed dial?

@Buccos Hainsey didn’t play C in college. He played tackle in college. They drafted him hoping him to convert to C. He has exactly ZERO experience at C, and we’re trotting him out when the C is the QB of the line. Thank God Brady already handles the protection calls.Hainsey has been getting man handled. Jensen was so important. He often took care of his man and helped the guards out.

Bucsfan- Many lineman change positions from college. It’s not a big deal and he has had a year to learn already. I believe Hainsey will be stout. I’m also believing that Goedeke will be good once the regular season begins at LG. If their is one thing that Licht knows well, it is offensive lineman. His work speaks for itself.
