Logan Ryan States Tom Brady Will Return But Won’t/Can’t Reveal When

August 20th, 2022

Bucs DB Logan Ryan.

Yesterday, Bucs veteran defensive back Logan Ryan made an appearance on Outkick 360, seen on Outkick.com. There, Ryan discussed, briefly, Tom Brady’s vacation excused absence.

Ryan’s video interview with Outkick 360, co-hosted by Jonathan Hutton, Paul Kuharsky and Chad Withrow, was published in segments. One released segment deals only with questions about Brady. The clip began with a simple, direct question for Ryan.

“Where’s Tom?”

“I have no idea,” Ryan said. “I’m not tied in on that one. So that one is above my pay grade. I know that his family is OK and all of that.”

And while Bucs fans are nervously banging on their keyboards’ F5 button to get the latest morsel of Brady news, Ryan claimed Brady being away from the team is barely a ripple on the surface of the Gulf of Mexico to him and his teammates.

“And the great thing is, to us the players, it’s really not a big deal,” Ryan said. “I think a lot of this stuff is a bigger deal outside of the building because he played 20-plus years and really never missed a day.

“I think he will be prepared. And he’s going to do a good job at quarterback.”

Ryan said Todd Bowles addressed the Bucs and filled them in that Brady was going to miss time last week — before the Bucs publicly announced Brady was taking an excused vacation leave of absence.

Ryan added in a matter-of-fact manner that Brady “will return.”

But when? The Outkick gang tried to pin Ryan down but Ryan deftly sidestepped. Ryan was asked, “There is no chance Brady is not there for the Dallas game Week 1, right?”

Ryan replied, “I can’t put out no official statements, fellas. C’mon, this is supposed to be the Logan Ryan Show.”

So Ryan is confident Brady will return. But when, Ryan either isn’t saying or he’s in the dark.

  1. James G Arntz Says:

A QB is a coach on the field. While he does not need the reps, the other players need him. So much for ‘team work’. Perhaps he should have stayed retired.

  2. Jeff Says:

Is Brady divorce yet? Can he come out and play now?

  3. PSL Bob Says:

He’ll be back as soon as The Masked Singer is finished filming.

  4. NCBucfan Says:

Gissy has this dude whipped, that’s for sure!

  5. Tampabaybucfan Says:

There is absolutely zero chance that Brady doesn’t return……he would not crater his entire career by quitting on a team just before the season. That’s just not Brady.

  6. Bird Says:

Same old messiah cult posting under new names. And then you got negative nancy Jeff who just spews diarrhea all day long. We have the worst fans. I think jets and jags fans would look at us like dang these guys suck

  7. Panhandle Buc Says:

    Exactly Tampabaybucfan!!

Brady didn’t want to go out like that losing to the Rams on the divisional round, you think he “unretired” only to go out like this?!

He isn’t willing to leave a blemish on his legacy pulling a stunt like that! He will be back before the season starts!

  8. Vsyl Says:

Most of bucs fans are not concerned at all. This is just another story fabricated by the media to gather attention.

  9. HC Grover Says:

    Lights, camera, action!

  10. Kody Says:

Imagine if Brady and Gronk come back together. Damn, that would be some awesome theatrics.

  11. Bucsfan13 Says:

@James. Did you even bother to read Logan’s quote. He said people like YOU care more about it than the TEAM. They know Tom will be fine. It’s good to get some inside info on what the players think and knew on the situation. They weren’t kept in the dark. There’s been so much unnecessary panic and speculation. We went from a messy divorce, sick parents, and now The Masked Singer conspiracy. Benjamin Allbright recently knocked down that rumor.

  12. Rob In Land O Lakes Says:

It makes sense that he will come back….. but why the cloak and dagger BS? Why can no one (including Brady) put a date on this? Why is his social media platforms all dark. Logic says he’s back next week,

But the Buc fan in me that has been in recovery for the last two years from “Battered Fan Syndrome” is expecting an IG post (not a press conference) that his heart is not in it anymore… his loves his teammates (sorry to the guys I recruited to play with me for less money…sucks to be you. and best of luck… you’re in great hands with Blaine Gabbert..) but he hopes everyone respects his privacy…… then fast forward to March 2023…. “I’m better now… and Gronk and I are going to Miami!”

    Please let logic win out.

  13. Biff Barker Says:

At what point is all this drama, QB, head coach, TE, dolphins worth it?
Besides, Tom Terrific never wanted to play in Tampa anyway. Cant blame him. I wouldn’t want to play for the Glazers anyway. Freeman, Winston? Really?

  14. SB~LV Says:

    F !
    Him !
    Move on Bucs !

  15. ModHairKen Says:

You losers who think you are entitled to know everything about Tom Brady’s business or are angry because he’s doing something you think he should not be doing, go back to a flip phone so you can’t type stupid comments and go cheer for the Packers or Saints. You deserve them.

  16. Listnfrmafar Says:

I read some say he is on the Masked Singer. When you think about it, it makes perfect sense, they can’t reveal who is on the show or it blows up the entire concept. On the other hand, this is such a story the paparazzi should be out in full force. If he made the contract commitment he has to fulfill it or that would be a blemish on his personality.

  17. Melvin Junior Says:

He obviously, left his wife in the dark over that whole entire Miami deal, & she was actually naive enough to believe all of his BS about retiring, Etc…. THEN, she finds out through The NFL that he was talking to Miami about playing for THEM this season, all along. Yup, he could be DONE. He might not have a choice any longer, at this point, & the Bucs are just keeping their fingers crossed just hoping & praying that he gets it worked out.

  18. Listnfrmafar Says:

SB-LV@ football is game for those that want to win, F Brady and Bucs become average at best. So you must be that average complacent loser that goes through life waiting for something to happen rather than take the initiative. It was a PRE-PLANNED absence negotiated upon his return. What don’t you get? No different if one took a new job and negotiated a previous planned vacation. (That is of course if you work).

  19. Irishmist Says:

He will pull his yacht up to the shores of Tampa Bay next week and wade on to the beach wearing a general’s hat and smoking a corn cob pipe.

  20. SB~LV Says:

    Listn
Have you ever been part of a team at the highest level, sports, war ?
    Obviously you are a “gamer”

  21. Steven007 Says:

What Ken said. What a nothing burger. If this happened in the days of print media it would have garnered one story, perhaps two. Now? Ridiculous.

  22. Z31 Says:

    SB~LV Says:
    “Move on Bucs !:

    Moving on from you. LOL.

  23. Hail2dabucs Says:

They all said he couldn’t go to the bucs and win a SB . He did . They said he can’t win without Bill. He did . They said no team has ever won it all in their home stadium . We did . They said he won’t win it this year . HE WILL ! Go bucs !

  24. Doc Says:

Brady told the Buc’s he did not want to play anymore. The Buc’s told him to take two weeks off to think about it. Folks he do not want to play football anymore.

  25. geno711 Says:

Those outkick hosts were 3 little jerks to Logan Ryan.

Further, it appears they only clipped the part of the show that talked about Brady. So, to Outkick the only part of the interview that mattered was about Tom Brady.

    Some media types just rude.

Anybody wonder if he will ever come back to them?

  26. Mr. Editor Says:

Yes, TB had “really never missed a day” in his over twenty years in the NFL. In fact, when the BUCS signed him, he was seen doing extra workouts in a public park.

  27. Listnfrmafar Says:

SB, to answer your question, yes! Wake up and live in today’s world where everything is negotiated. An elite student athlete now needs a manager to negotiate for them. Sorry but I cannot compare a game of entertainment to the reality of war, that’s a different level of commitment.

  28. Bird Says:

    Uhmmmm

So they reveal who the masked singer is when they are voted out. They reveal who the last person standing is at the end who wins the competition. Yah brady in final year is letting teammates know the masked singer gig is more important then winning a super bowl. His teammates will respect that cause you know 20 something years in nfl 😂

The masked singer take is laughable. But hey …you have sheepie out there that think things are going great these days cause the media tells them and they believe it. 😂

  29. ManzielMadness Says:

I’m just surprised nobody has even taken a picture of him. You think somebody would’ve spotted him by now, unless he never left his house.

  30. Leighroy Says:

Leave it to Brady to be so modern at 45. It’s 2022 people, remote work is a thing now! I’m sure he’s just Zooming in to the QB room and giving thumbs up emojis to the calls in the Microsoft Teams huddles! What’s that Tom? Tom! Youre on mute!

  31. gp Says:

I have it on good authority (as good as anyone else’s) that Tom has been training with the Golden Knights and plans to make a grand entrance to the Dallas game as the National Anthem is sung.
I know, I know, it’s a dome. But in true Dallas Texas style, it’s a convertible!
    .
    .
    .
    .
    Anybody wanna buy a bridge?

  32. AB Says:

I love how some people are ‘he should have just stayed retired if he isn’t going to be there for a couple weeks during training camp….’

As if having Brady this season (less a few weeks at camp) is somehow worse than whatever Trask/Gabbert/insert non-top 10 QB here would be the alternative…

Let’s say for argument’s sake that G said ‘yeah, you can go play but only if you keep your promise for that 2 weeks in august’…if you were given a choice back in Feb/March that you could have Brady unretired but he is going to miss 2 weeks at camp is there really any sort of question what you would say??

  33. Ko Kiefer Says:

Regardless of where you stand on this, there is no denying this is a distraction. When players and coaches are peppered with questions about you daily, by definition you have become a distraction. Disappointed in the manner Brady handled his break.

  34. Bucs&Bolts Says:

It’s going to be fun to watch the media try and get info out of Brady and him shut their asses down lol

  35. SB~LV Says:

I don’t want him on the roster!
He can blow out his knee as far as I am concerned!
    The sooner the better

  36. Bojim Says:

    A little concerning.

  37. TomR Says:

Its a great move by the coaching staff to prepare the Buc’s for FAB (Football after Brady). The team’s confidence is building each day they practice without Tom.

  38. Tim Says:

I haven’t seen anything about this, just purely conjecture, but what if it’s alcohol rehab? I know it goes against the TB12 stuff, but we know he drinks. Could explain why nobody wants to talk about it. Just a thought.

  39. Oneilbuc Says:

SB I know he’s coming back but I’m sick and tired of Brady myself bro . He can kick rocks . I’m tired of the fan base kiss his butt begging him to play when it’s been already proven that Brady didn’t want to play for us any way he wanted to play for the dolphins. So I’ve already moved on from Brady and I can’t wait until he leaves .

  40. Goatfarmer Says:

    I like this man’s style.

  41. Beeej Says:

Brady has played enough with Gage, Jones and Rudolph that he’s comfortable with them. Gabbert and Trask (mostly Trask) need reps. This is the only time of the year that Trask can GET reps, and staff had to glean whether he’s the future or not

  42. Vgb Says:

It’s like you can’t make this stuff up…Brady a Damm genius he again has hi jacked the preseason with his version of where’s Waldo to where’s brady…ha ha…and the media just takes the bait…TOM BRADY IS A PROFESSIONAL..THE BUCS COACHES AND GM OWNERS KNOW EXACTLY WHERE AND WHEN BRADY WILL RETURN BECAUSE BRADY TOLD THEM WHEN HE GOT PERMISSION!!!!! Brady told them not to DISCLOSE TO THE MEDIA…because Brady can’t stand the media NEVER FEELS ITS THEIR RIGHT TO KNOW HIS BUSINESS….Brady is the master of talking but never tells anything ..Brady just sitting back laughing…free publicity ha ha…all because the media cannot function without knowing his every move..because apparently media has no content but Brady to discuss

  43. Browsing from DC Says:

Jeez Louise. Waaah! Waaah! “Tom won’t tell us what he’s doing 24/7!!!! We NEED to know!!!! He needs to treat US better!!!” What a load of b.s.

My “What’s Brady Doing” bingo card is doing well though. So far I have:

    He’s quitting on US!
    Giselle won’t let him play
    He has a drinking problem
    He’s secretly injured
He wants to go to Miami
He’s secretly suspended because of Miami meddling
    Giselle is divorcing him

All I need to win now is:
    He’s been abducted by aliens
He’s auditioning for “The Masked Singer” and
He’s decided to become a true Buccaneer, converted his yacht into a pirate ship and is out marauding the 7 seas

What do I win? I hope it’s that this site returns from being a gossip column/”everything I hate about social media” clone and returns to FOOTBALL info with great articles from the Joes and Ira, thoughtful comments from fans about stuff like: injury updates, practice notes, player profiles, etc.

I know these things still exist here (and it’s only pre-season so solid content may be lacking) but these “copy and paste” gossip tidbits from other sites just seem like lazy click bait.

  44. SB~LV Says:

The only thing that matters is that training camp ( the 2022 season has begun) and
Brady is not with the team.
    F him !

  45. Steven007 Says:

SB, Will your attitude remain when he returns and we play this season’s games? If so you’re in for a long, miserable season. Enjoy.

  46. SPARKY Says:

The only people happy about this stupid Masked Singer story are the producers of the Mask Singer. Imagine the numbers watching the show until they find out Tom wasn’t on the show. Brady is already making Fox money without doing anything. See ya Monday Tom.

  47. GOB Says:

The masked singer stuff made the rounds on Reddit yesterday. Listn, I agree that it fits with all the secrecy around his absence. Think about it, he signed that massive deal with fox. Maybe this is his first assignment as ambassador. If it is true (and I pray to God it’s not) I’m not cool with it, and his mates shouldn’t be either. The pirate ship is rudderless without him. You got BA pretending to be HC, mounting injuries, and the distraction caused by the absence. If he chose to do this, instead of being at camp, it’s a terrible look.

  48. rob20819 Says:

Just a shot in the dark, but maybe Tom and Giselle are adopting a baby from Ukraine. It’s required you fly there and finish the adoption. That takes time (thus the 10 days requested off. Also makes sense about the privacy needed. It may have been one of Giselle’s conditions for him to un-retire…

  49. rob20819 Says:

Also would explain why coaches/players are not concerned in the least about him returning.

“CrackWise Says: TRASK > Brady at this point in their careers.”

    Could be.

Brady basically did not play at all his 1st season with the Patriots, playing in only 1 game, throwing 3 passes, with 1 completion for 6 yards!

In seasons 2, 3, and 4, Brady started but had quarterback RTGs of only 86, 85, and 85, very average for a starting NFL quarterback, nowhere near great.

Good thing Patriots fans were patient. I don’t see that in the FSU-infested Bucs fanbase.

  54. GOB Says:

SB~LV, my precious child, GOB loves you and would never send the reaper after you. How much more time do you want? Believe me, living forever isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Oh, I don’t know. Winston got plenty of time. But you’re right…the fans are not patient.

That’s why, when the time comes, coaches and owners make the decisions…and are held accountable.

Personally, I’m not sold on Trask. I have seen some nice throws…but he is slow in the pocket and panics too easily. Against backups.

I wish he were starting tonight…get some real experience and have the starting oline in there.

  58. Rob In Land O Lakes Says:

Look, I couldn’t care less if he’s in training camp. He doesn’t need the practice. However,

    This pre-planned time off is only announced by the team a few days before he left;

Brady’s social media which is everywhere has gone totally dark

No one with the team can answer when he’s coming back…

And none of you are the LEAST bin concerned?

  59. Rob In Land O Lakes Says:

    *bit

  60. CrackWise Says:

    Rob In Land O Lakes

Why should anyone with a brain and LIFE be concerned about a professional athlete taking prearranged time off from his job?

You may not like it, heck, I don’t think anyone likes feeling left out. BUT the fact of the matter is, it is NONE of our business what the man is doing.

Why would a FAN be concerned about a player missing PRACTICE? I mean, we have a bunch of guys that we can be talking about if this was really about someone missing valuable PRACTICE time.

If anything, this is a win win for EVERYONE. Brady not being here is the best thing for our future QB. When Brady returns, it will be the best thing for our current TEAM. The fans will benefit from BOTH scenarios.

Its really that simple. BUT I get it, we are all having fun talking SPORTS, I think?

  61. CrackWise Says:

Also, Rob In Land O Lakes

The Coach told us day one when he would be back. Just because you want to write it into your day planner DOES NOT MEAN you or anyone is intitled to know.

  62. Iamabuc Says:

I don’t buy this. Really ..the Masked Singer?….Let me asked you guys; when in his whole carrer, have you seen Brady singing and dancing?(two essential things to know if you get to be on that show)..I’ll wait.

Wouldn’t say that. Yesterday the Brady MIA story was the second news story (behind Deshaun Watson) on NFL Network’s newscast. Joe doesn’t believe in ignoring important stories.

If popular national outlets like NFL Network and Outkick and NBC are covering this story, why the hell would Joe ignore it?

Will he? Won’t he? Will he? Won’t he?

Will he play in 23? Won’t he?……>Brady probably got so tired of that he decided he’d give everyone something else to think about…….like Will he or won’t he play in 22?

I’d bet the mortgage that he will.

  70. CrackWise Says:

    Tbbucs3

Clearly you didn’t read the rest of the comment. Which means you know nothing about reading???

IDK, if your meds ran out or if your just but hurt. Or maybe thats it. Your butt is not hurting because your man is MIA?

Either way. Stop trying to insult me and others for taking a different TEAM FIRST approach to this situation.

    F-Brady, until he comes back.

  71. Goatfarmer Says:

Osqueel with yet another whiny, irrational post that looks like it might have been written by real dumbarse.

  72. Tbbucs3 Says:

“Brady basically did not play at all his 1st season with the Patriots, playing in only 1 game, throwing 3 passes, with 1 completion for 6 yards!”

Well since some commentators on here are clearly delusional. Lets compare. At age 24 Brady is coming off his 1st superbow win….at age 24 Kyle Trask has yet to beat out the mighty Blaine Gabbert

But hey, at least Trask had a decent preform last week against the Dolphins C team…so I guess thats enough for some folks (Gator fans) to crown him.

  73. BucBoy Says:

“Tbbucs3 Says: At age 24 Brady is coming off his 1st superbow win.”

After his second season. And, he got to play that season only because the Pats starting QB – Bledsoe- missed the season due to injury. And, Brady threw all of 1 TD pass in that Super Bowl. If not for a pick 6 by the Pats defenses they lose. Thanks for playing!

  78. Goatfarmer Says:

I’m a UF grad and a Gator fan. Since 1976. With those credentials I can confidently say, Trask sucks out loud so far. Maybe with several years of grooming he can become an adequate player in the NFL. When the best Gator QB performance in the NFL came from Rex Grossman, well……Trask has other negative forces at work besides his slow-on-the-uptake learning style and fluttery deep ball.

  79. Tbbucs3 Says:

    Anonymous

I forgot, Trask almost beat Alabama, which is much more impressive than a superbowl win. My bad.

  80. BucBoy Says:

TTrashbuc, 95.3 passer rating is 95.3 passer rating. Suck on that.

  81. Goatfarmer Says:

And about that first Super Bowl win – it was a win and it was a Brady last minute drive that won it. And he beat the Greatest Show on Turf. Any attempt to paint Brady negatively for that winning, defining performance is moot. And stupid.

If he’s not back after the Indy game then it’s time to start panicking. I didn’t say this Monday. I mean next Monday.
Most of our starting receivers are hurting except Julio. No sense wasting time on the camp meat. This gives Trask a little extra work also.
Last time I saw a 45YO QB was George Blanda and he was just the emergency QB. He was mostly a kicker. I was a kid as it was about 1970 or 71. Heck, kickers used to run up on the ball straight back then. It wasn’t long after that “soccer style” kickers started showing up.
Remember George Yarno? His was the last straight on kick I’d ever seen.

LMAO. That’s 100% you. Your hatred of Trask from the second he was drafted has been completely unsubstantiated. Obviously it was not – and could not have been – based on his stellar SEC performances; rather it was based on pure personal bias. A UF alum my ass.

We went from being the team that nobody in the national media ever talked about… to having a QB that is the best that ever played the game… and one of the biggest celebrities in the world.

It is still a little odd for all of us to get used to.

The ride so far HAS brought us a Super Bowl, and a hell of a run last year. Let’s buckle in for 1 more ride and see where it takes us.

And then after that…. we will settle in to them just being OUR BUCS again… out of the national media…. but ours to LOVE just like we always have.

  99. TAMPA BAY DEMON Says:

    Jmarkbuc says
“Tom is on the Grassy knoll”

    __________

    LMFAO!!!

  100. Howard Cosell Says:

Howard is sad that memes are verboten on JBF,

however if Joes allowed memes we would be quickly overwhelmed and inundated in an endless ocean of memes, therefore Howard understands the logic involved in the executive decision to make it text only

  101. TAMPA BAY DEMON Says:

^ Howard, (nods head in understanding)

  102. Howard Cosell Says:

If memes were allowed Howard would post the ermergerd-braces-girl looking terribly distraught and wearing a #12 jersey

  103. GOB Says:

Never fear, trash is here. Are you people delusional, or just insufferable homers. The bucs wouldn’t win six games with either backup. It’s a QB driven league. The dolphins are absolutely loaded at reciever. So much so, that they traded Parker to a division rival. Tua will suck this year, like he did last year, no matter who’s around him. The same is true for the bucs. The bucs have never wanted for talent. It’s a product of constantly drafting in the top 15. The problem has always been the QB. Don’t worry, you’ll get to find out next year, when Brady either retires or leaves.

  104. Howard Cosell Says:

Tom is negotiating with the space aliens in Antarctica right now.
Word is that they laughed at Brandon, Puton and Kyqang and asked to speak with Tom Brady specifically.

  105. Goatfarmer Says:

GOB – there are a few homers who are simply in denial, including one who doesn’t care about the team and only cares about one try-hard under-talented 3rd string QB who might find his way onto a field in a few years. This same turnip may also pretend to be a Gator expert even though he apparently never finished elementary school, and certainly never went to U of F.

Never stepped inside The Swamp. Wouldn’t know Wilbur Marshall from Wilbur the Mr Ed guy. Would think that Larry Ochab was some guy in a small Florida town. Would think that Jimmy DuBose was French. Would think Wes Chandler was a bus driver. What a toad.

  106. Goatfarmer Says:

Howard has the most plausible take here.

  107. SB~LV Says:

Oh … Jimmy DuBois was a great Buc RB until his knee

  108. Goatfarmer Says:

And before that a great Gator.

  109. GOB Says:

GF, thanks for the reminder. I’ll never venture into the swamp again. The last time the Patriots did, they ended up with a homicidal maniac, who asked his HC for a safe house.

  110. GOB Says:

Breaking News: Tom Brady has asked for more time away from the team. Apparently Alex Guerrero isn’t much of a vocal coach, nor Tony Robbins. From what I’ve heard, Axl rose is teaching him falsetto.

  111. Goatfarmer Says:

When I went there it was tame, probaby because after 1976 they really sucked, and by 1980 I had to work on Saturdays so didn’t get to see Wayne Peace throw to Chris Collinsworth, who still holds the record for longest TD pass by a Gator (99 yards). He came to Gainesville as a QB and then converted to WR.

  112. Goatfarmer Says:

    Maybe Axl can play guard.

  113. Garro Says:

Why is it that the people who should be quiet because they are idiots….won’t
Ok now let the parade begin

  114. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Nothing I like better than a Kyle Trask debate on a Saturday afternoon in lieu of any other meaningful subject.

Kind of feels like the Josh Freeman days again.

  115. Goatfarmer Says:

I’d like to rekindle the old Chuck Fusina debates. They were riveting.

  116. BucBoy Says:

Alright children, listen up! Raise your hands if you would have wanted the Bucs to draft Justin Fields in the 2021 draft …

Oh, wow, that’s a lot of you … You can only raise one hand, Goathumper …

Now, of those who raised your hands, how many know that Justin Fields had the lowest quarterback rating – a 26 – of all NFL quarterbacks last season? …

Oh, no hands raised … Well, children, now you know why nobody ever calls you for advice on draft day …

    Fs for all of you.

  117. JimmyJack Says:

The original word was Brady will be back after the Titans game. They didnt say after the 3rd preseason game so that makes the deadline one week for his return. Until then its only teen gab tabloid news.

Im waitng to see if he comes back next week. If he doesnt then i will officially pannick.

  118. Scooter Says:

Jimmy G. is available. Belechik in 2017 wanted to start Jimmy G. and get rid of Brady. 33W-14L as a starter, 6W-1L against the Rams. I’ve seen him throw deep, He has the arm strength. Shanahan thinks he has the next Lamar Jackson, he may have the next Jordan Love.Lost by 3 in the NFC championship game at the L. A. Rams last season, tough to beat the same team three times in 1 season. Also that was the 49ers 4th consecutive road game. With a injured throwing hand thumb and the Rams needing a win for the 2 seed, Jimmy G. won the last regular season game at L.A. Next week won playoff game at Dallas. Following week won a Playoff game at Green Bay. A diamond in the ruff.

  119. beano Says:

Wowzawonga! BucsNation reported this morning that an SBNation poll of Bucs fans found 63% want Trask to be the #2 quarterback.

  120. steele Says:

The entire Brady thing is a distraction, everything about it unnecessarily mysterious and weird.

It may all be nothing, or it is a Dennis Rodman/Chicago Bulls “planned absence” that the team thinks it can absorb.

The number one problem is that the product on the field is currently unacceptable and substandard, especially the OL, which looks like a turnstile all the way across.

It will not begin to be solved without TB12, and now it will be a panic rush job to get the chemistry, timing and attitude anywhere close to right by week 1. It just doesn’t happen that easily or quickly. Work needs to be done, and major decisions still have to be made, and that is borderline too late now.

  121. BucBoy Says:

“Tbbucs3 Says: BucBoy, More than 10 QBs had a passer rating better than 95 in pre season last week.”

That puts Trask at #11 out of 32 quarterbacks. LOL

  122. A Real American Says:

    Trask is no Blaine Gabbert.
Don’t worry Bucs fans. If anything happens to Brady Gabbert is THE MAN!

    B-B-B-Blaine!

  123. Scooter Says:

Being pissed at losing to the Eagles in the SB, BRADY DIDN’T SHAKE NICK FOLES HAND. Aside from this, being pissed at losing Brady’s career behavior is to meet the opposing QB briefly and then get the hell off the field. After The Ram’s playoff loss Brady hugged Stafford, hugged Odell Beckham, Shook another Ram players hand, shook a Ram’s coaches hand, smiling and hugged Ram Safety Eric Weddle and shook another Ram’s player hand. I saw this on limited video footage, there may be more video. Very uncharacteristic of Brady. Putting on my Dick Tracy hat and I could be wrong, my guess is that nite Brady thought He was going to be a minority Dolphin owner and maybe QB one year with Sean Payton. Also that nite my guess is Brady knew He was going to retire from the Bucs. In Poker it’s called a Tell. However Wiley old Bill Belechik accidentally( ? ) texted his former coach Brian Flores and a can of worms was opened up. Miami became toxic. Brady unretired from the Bucs.

  124. BucBoy Says:

“Tbbucs3 Says: BucBoy, More than 10 QBs had a passer rating better than 95 in pre season last week.”

CBSSports lists Trask as having a higher passer rating than 26 (26!) other quarterbacks from week 1.

    Thanks for playing though!

  125. T REX Says:

    @ crack…can you please stop be a richard head…please

It’s getting old and clogging up the board

  126. SB~LV Says:

Lawrence Dawsey was a tough tough SOB Buc/FSU WR
I would love to see our current WR’s take the kind of hits he did. That was the real deal!

  127. Snoman4 Says:

Brady will be back when he’s back. Brady has always been a person who does not go back on his word. My guess he made a promise/commitment to his family, Fox, or some other business entity to do something and he doesn’t want to go back on his word.

To all you guys citing quarterback rating…get real, especially when comparing Brady’s from his first couple of years. Rules were much different back then and Quarterbacks and receivers could actually be mauled by the defense. You did not see 5-10 quarterbacks a year with over a 100 rating.

  128. Oneilbuc Says:

Lol 😅😅😅 this is the only franchise and fan base that wants Gabbert and y’all wonder why this is the most losing franchise of all sports.. lol 😅😅 and we have a young quarterback that’s better than Gabbert but yall talk bad about him just because he went to UF. Stupid fan base yall don’t get behind no quarterback all yall do is look for a scapegoats about this team. I support Trask the same way I supported Winston . And now you hear is the same stuff about Trask . Y’all are Patriots/Brady fans just like this site. Every podcast that’s on this site is pushing a negative narrative about Trask .

  129. Joe in Michigan Says:

Oneilbuc: You lost all credibility when you said you don’t want Brady around, and can’t wait for him to leave. You obviously are not a Bucs fan, just a Jameis-at-one-time/Trask fan.
