Breadcrumbs Give Positive Bucs Vibes

May 25th, 2022

Return clues mount.

So we know Bucs’ will-he-or-won’t-he, foot-rubbing tight end Rob Gronkowski is in town, and Tom Brady put Gronk to work at the Yankees’ minor league complex on Himes Avenue.

Gronk was shagging fly balls while Brady took batting practice. If Brady took enough swings, that can become a helluva workout. Cardio, of course.

Well, there is another sign Gronk just didn’t drive (fly?) up from his mom’s home in Fort Myers just to play outfielder in Tampa. Yesterday on her Instagram stories feed, Gronk’s long-time girlfriend, the model Camille Kostek, was back at the Tampa condo she and Gronk share.

In this hot-as-blazes real estate market, if Gronk and Kostek didn’t plan to keep the condo, or more importantly use it, why wouldn’t they put the condo on the market? Yeah, maybe they’re renting. There is no Gronk or Camille Kostek found in a Hillsborough County property search.

Kostek said in her video she “hadn’t been in Tampa for about three months” due to work. She is featured again in the jumped-the-shark Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and was doing promotional work for the publication.

Additionally, Kostek had been in Los Angeles working on her next TV project, hosting the show “Dancing with Myself,” set to premiere later this month on NBC. No, don’t ask Joe how in the world the name of that show ever got approved by network suits.

Feel free to do the math on this one, but Kostek sold her Los Angeles pad but kept her Tampa property. Does that sound like a woman who won’t be around Tampa much this year?

The breadcrumbs sure suggest Gronk and Kostek plan to be in Tampa for a while. And that sure suggests Gronk might just be ready to return to the Bucs.

All hail Gronk!

Gronk has investments in tampa as well, makes sense to keep his condo there. He has an ownership stake in rocca restaurant , just to name one of them. I wouldn’t say him keeping a condo is a sign of a return. Although I hope he does. His parents live down the road from me about a mile. This area is too dull for Gronks lifestyle, it’s a boring area. Only 2 hr drive to the stadium. You’d spend that much time screwing around at the airport unless you fly private out of page field.

    95% chance he’s coming back.

I’m not believing anything until he signs his name.

If they were just playing batting practice why the football leaves and definitely why the play sheet on Tom’s wrist?????

Gronk is coming back. If he were leaving he would have before the draft. He’s not a dick that would hold out then all of a sudden say he’s done. He has no reason to hurt the Bucs team and his buddy Brady. Just doesn’t want to go to training camp. Can you say Michael Strahan?

    Unfinished business. LFG!

Hey, hey, Tampa Bay……Hey, hey, “Gronk-a-day”!!!

I’d like to think that Brady has been running a secret training camp at the Yankees facility in ordrr to escspe the media glare as well as Bucs’ opponent spies. Since BA’s departure I also believe that Brady tinally has a free hand to install a 1-2 back, PA running scheme fashioned after Patriots’ run game which played a huge part in the 2018/19 season capped off with a win against the Rams in SB LIII. I’ve no support for this prediction other than Brady’s fondness for the extra dimension the scheme provided by freezing/slowing down the pass rush, worrying the opponent LB corps and preoccupying DBs who had to keep one eye out for a running back slashing through the second level while covering man or zone. Brady would usually spot the resulting separation and, at times, forced man coverage due to DBs, S, LBs biting on the fake PA. The trick here would be reworking the old BA ‘no risk it, no biscuit’ playbook by using an aggressive pulling guard (Goedeke?) behind Shaq Mason, Wirfs and big blocking TE Gronk and perhaps Cade Otten eventually. Look back at the 2018 Pats and see the holes paved wide open for Sony Michel. Lenny Fournette and hopefully Rachaad White would be able to reliably pick up the 5+ yards needed to keep ahead on early downs, leading to sustained, longer drives, wearing down defenses while keeping Mahomes, Rodgers, Dak Prescott, Lamar Jackson, Matt Stafford, Joe Burrow, etc., off the field. With defenses so off-balanced, it will just be a matter until the GOAT sees an opportunity to strike deep to Evans, Gronk down the seam, or Gage cleared out in space behind the LBs.

Bottom line is that Tom Brady loves PA and PA won’t work without a true running game threat. No more will we see a run up the middle on first down. The Bucs now have too much run blocking beef not to put it to use. With BA and his ‘red pen’ just a memory, watch for this new running game dimension which will surely have DCs pulling their hair out.

I feel pretty sure Gronk is coming back, but at what price.

He back you just don’t know it

A condo is a far cry from owning a home and selling. With his mom living in the state it could mean nothing or everything. Not enough there for me and I agree until he signs looks like Bucs are prepared either way because it’s about my Bucs not chasing gronk. He knows we want him back so if he comes he comes if he doesn’t oh well, we’ve seen our offense operate without him

  17. Mark Alsott Says:

Gronks mom lives in Fort Myers? That’s pretty cool.

  18. Goatfarmer Says:

Gronk will suit up one more time and I can’t wait for he and Kieft to be on the field together on the goal line package!
