Rob Gronkowski Working Out With Derrick Henry?

April 23rd, 2022

“Listen Gronk, you best be in shape come July.”

[UPDATE 9:09 a.m.:] Joe isn’t sure what to make of this since the origin of the photo is behind a private Instagram account. But if you believe the buzz on social media Friday night, it seems Bucs foot-rubbing tight end Rob Gronkowski is working out with Titans star running back Derrick Henry.

It’s not the first time Henry has trained with a Bucs tight end.

The trainer (?), who goes by the Instagram handle @AnthonyFit, posted a black and white photo of a sweaty Gronk and a sweaty Henry. Joe isn’t sure if they were working out or just got off a factory assembly line, or if both just finished putting a new roof on someone’s house.

Since Joe cannot get to the account — What trainer puts his work behind a private account? Very naive marketing. — Joe has no idea if there is a description of why the two were together.

Out of curiosity, Joe noticed that the Instagram stories feed of Gronk’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue covergirl girlfriend Camile Kostek is coming from Los Angeles. Kostek is a budding network TV personality, actress and producer. She and Gronk were in Hawaii earlier this week.

So let’s just say Gronk and Henry were working out to stay in football shape? This wouldn’t surprise Joe. If Gronk is still undecided about playing football, he surely wants to stay in some form of shape and not report to training camp (?) like an overweight slob.

As recently as March, Gronk was working out twice a week at One Buc Palace. Maybe he also plans to resume his rasslin’ career?

If Gronk and Henry are working out, Joe thinks this is a positive sign for the Bucs. Joe is pretty convinced Gronk is stalling on signing a new contract because he wants to avoid the pounding of training camp. And Joe doesn’t blame him.

[UPDATE 9:09 a.m.:] More photos of this workout Gronk had with Derrick Henry have surfaced. And yes, they were working out.

    Monsters. Gronk looking sharp.

  2. adam from ny Says:

    dang…henry’s jacked

  3. Bird Says:

Of course he will come back and play. Again i think there will be at least a verbal agreement right before draft. Brady came back right before free agency for obvious reason. Gronk will do the same . So bucs may go tight end in third or 4th. Not 2nd or third

And seriously…who would want to tackle derrick henry? Dude is a mack truck. Geez

  4. BuucccNASTY Says:

Gronk a face says it all.. he’s just pissin Tommy off

  5. Hail2dabucs Says:

    Dude , gronk lookin shredded

  6. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Maybe Tim Titan Fan has another take on this…..”Derrick Henry working out with Gronk…..Perhaps Henry wants to be a Buc”

  7. Bbro Says:

If you haven’t seen this years 2022 schedule look it up, it has to be the toughest schedule in football and after last year’s patty cake schedule and loosing the ones we did we’ll need many players to step up this year and very very few injuries.

  8. OMFS88 Says:

VRBO- the schedule isn’t released yet. What you’re referring to is the list of opponents.

  9. David Says:

Good. Glad to see he’s keeping in shape between his nickelodeon slime duties.
I have no doubt Tom just restructured so they sign Gronk and have space for draft picks. I don’t think he signs or comes back until Treaty camp.

If they go after JPP or SUH, they’re going to have to restructure another one or two players.

  10. Dooley Says:

They look like they’re training to take over the Tag Team division

  11. David Says:

    Bbro-
Is it tough but 12-5 seems reasonable. 13-4 is definitely realistic.

ATL, Car, NO all twice- 5-1

    Sea, Cleve, Steelers- 3-0

The other 8 could be 4-4, 5-3 most likely because the bulk are at home.
I think a few of those teams drop off from the last couple years, like all the away teams and the Ravens.

Home- Rams, Bengals, Packers, KC, Ravens,
    Away- Dallas, AZ, SF

  12. THOMAS PFALZ Says:

I think the Bucs toughest challenge will be the Bengals. (Barring injuries)

  13. Razor Ramone Says:

If we can be the last team standing facing these teams? Wow, some accomplishment. Can the injury bugs infest a different team this season? Please?

  14. Listnfrmafar Says:

Not to worried about the Bengals, they were man handles on both sides of the ball by the Rams even after losing OBJ. Gronk is in the inner, inner Brady circle, he knew about the retirement, why he retired and when he was coming back. Brady also knows Gronk is coming back, Gronk is just waiting on his contract and to avoid the off season training. Move on to the next piece.

  15. Yucs2Bucs Says:

Man imagine having King Henry as our RB 😳 I do have to say and not being partial because I’m a Bama, but they are both amazing football players and two of the most down to earth guys you will ever meet. Go Bucs

  16. Anonymous Says:

They keep saying health is the biggest key for the secondary and signing extra D Lineman still makes me think wr in the first. If Burks is there, that’s a no brainer for me.

I’m 47 and watched defense win championships for years but you see 42 – 38 shootouts all the time with good defenses.

The key for those 5 games at home will be scoring a bunch of points.
Sorry it’s just the reality of today’s NFL.

Godwin won’t play for 8-10 games.
    Please let that sink in

  17. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

I am sure that Gronk is just waiting on his contract, to avoid the off season training and camp.
Gronk is Brady’s best friend, he goes where Brady goes.

Wow, Derrick Henry is a Beast! No wonder why no one wants to tackle him.

  18. Eric b Says:

Yall the schedule hasnt been released yet…LFGO UNFINISHED BUISSNESS

  19. Eric b Says:

LETS SIGN DEEBO!!!! YOU CAN DO SO MANY THINGS WITH THIS GUY LFGO!!!

  20. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Eric b

Deebo wants out because he wants to be a WR, and NOT be used to run the ball

  21. Eric b Says:

    SIGN EARL THOMAS!!!!

  22. Cobraboy Says:

Deebo wants out because a WR has a short NFL life. He wants to be a WR, not a gadget player.

  23. Eric b Says:

Jmarkbuc..well thats fine if it is true, he had over 1400 receiving yards so ill take him all day. And im sure if hes not used , hell run the ball a few times.. the guy is awesome pats had a chance to snag him and they. messed up.. SIGN HIM!! LA is somehow figuring out salary cap and brady doesnt have a huge contract like stafford

  24. Thadeus Says:

Maybe Gronk wants to be a Titan. Not out of the question. They sure could use a good TE.

  25. Ed Says:

Ya! Surprised the radio shows have Deebo speculation-listed for every possible team BUT the Buccaneers.

When Deebo says he wants-out to play for a team he likes, that’s “Brady-magnet” talk, right there; and then Brady provides the Cap money for a new player…?

The theory is coming together: no Arians, no “Deep Ball” ideology.

What would Brady want more for the offense than a return to a Julian Edelman-like “3rd and slant-pass” to the slot receiver.

    Deebo: the new WR; Gio-“backup” ($1.3 million/yr).

    Perfect.

    Luv it!

  26. GOB Says:

Samuel wants out because of his contact. If the 9ers were to give him a Tyreek hill type deal, I’m sure his gadget concerns would quickly disappear. It’s always all about money with these guys

  27. Bbro Says:

Okay schedule opponents we still have to play those teams and it’s far better teams than last year

  28. Brazen Zebra Says:

Well, is it real, or is it fake? These days with AI photo shopping, you can probably fool anyone, including gramma! I kinda like the idea of The King switching over to the Bucs though. Wouldn’t that be nice? Maybe Gronk is workin on it, a little recruitin on the side.

  29. Steven M. Says:

Bring in Henry and Gronk and a few defensive players = A lock on the SB.
