Jason Pierre-Paul Officially Gone?

April 29th, 2022

Number already given to rookie?

It’s not looking good for Bucs stud pass rusher and outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul returning.

On the Bucs’ official Twitter feed, there is a photo-shopped action image of new Bucs defensive lineman Logan Hall, the Bucs first draft pick of 2022. He is wearing No. 90.

JPP’s number with the Bucs was No. 90.

Now Joe has to stress this is a photoshopped image. Joe isn’t positive that the team’s in-house social media team is in tune with the football operations wing. But it is interesting that also included in the image is a separate number “90” listed.

Can’t believe he acted like that foo in his video, I thought we were tight

  5. Defense Rules Says:

Just found on one site that the Bucs drafted Luke Goedeke from CMU at #57. Must’ve traded with Cincy. Gotta say though that the TV coverage of this 2022 NFL draft is horrible.

Draft Coverage has been a joke. Stopped watching. Will read about it!

Logan Hall. Good prospect, but preferred others. He is not a pure edge rusher. He is not an OLB.

Hall is a tall tweener DE/DT, who plays mostly DT, 5 tech. He is not an edge, although he has versatility to be moved around. Still raw like JTS, needs to get lower, but good hand technique, good swim moves, good power, shows pass rush talent, an Aaron Donald type inside pass rusher, which is something Bucs need. Explosive, good fighter in small space.

I would have preferred a pure edge DE or OLB pass rush terror, or a shutdown corner or safety. They should still fill those positions. Maybe there’s still room for that lower down.

The Bucs Roster officially lists the following:

Hey Joe, you’re welcome for the tip.

  13. David Says:

JPP was great and he is an absolute warrior that played through a lot over the years but after everything and at his age to have a rotator cuff injury… As an edge rusher… That’s real tough to think he’s going to be even close to what he used to be.
I wish him well and would have loved to have him back if they felt he was healthy but obviously they don’t. Who knows, maybe he’ll return for a vet minimum if they can even afford that later in the year

  14. MadMax Says:

Love YA JPP….retire happy my Brotha….you were a steal for a 3rd and got you and us a SB!

    Also stopped watching.

Absolutely terrible to listen. Gets worse every year, and this year has been by far the worst.

  16. Tony Says:

Just wish they would stop drafting players that have dealt with serious injuries. They’re usually not the same player after dealing with ACL/knee injuries/surgeries.

  17. Thadeus Says:

Bye JPP, and take Suh with you.

  18. Esteban85 Says:

I wouldn’t mind seeing JPP back on a one year deal. Let him get good and healthy for the playoffs. He always gave it 100% and we were much better against the run with him in the game. That rotator cuff injury is some real pain. Dude is tough

  19. LakelandSteve Says:

I think the JPP horse has left the barn

  20. Listnfrmafar Says:

JPP is a warrior, Bucs need to show him some respect. He is worth another look. He’s probably saying WTF I played with a bad shoulder and this is what I get?

  21. brooks Says:

Needs to go please quit wasting ink on him. washed up

  23. JPP FAN Says:

JPP will be back w Bucs. He played with a torn rotator cuff past year. No other players would have played they would have sat out season. JPP is a vet who is the emotional leader of the defense and with ToddBowles as coach and Brady back for another ring they not starting rookies. Wait till season starts his shoulder will be healed, and will be back.
