Ndamukong Suh Teases On Twitter

March 31st, 2022

Free agent manbeast defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is 35 years old and has not retired.

The Bucs are interested in the future Hall of Famer returning for his fourth Tampa Bay season, but the two sides can’t figure out a deal. This morning, Suh took to Twitter to let everyone know he wants back into the Tampa party. The playful message is below.

Suh said that before he went to the Rams for the 2018 season, he met with then-Jets head coach Todd Bowles about playing for Bowles’ miserable team. Suh wanted no part of New York but he did like Bowles and has sung his praises consistently since coming to Tampa in 2019.

Money is the X factor, as is the clock ticking towards the NFL Draft. Suh has earned more than $120 million in the NFL, and he’s known as an astute businessman. He wants to be paid but the Bucs don’t have the cap room to give him market value.

It’ll be interesting to see who caves first in this happy game of chicken.

You think now that BA is gone…..AB can come back?

  2. SteveK Says:

Enter phase 2 of the reload. This is going to be awesome. Can’t wait to see the defense and Bowels get a chance to shoot his shot, while Brady and Byron can light it up on O!

  3. Casual Observer Says:

Suh is right. We need Gronk.

  4. Bojim Says:

He sure doesn’t need a few million more. Just play. 🙄

  5. mark2001 Says:

TBBF…. AB was just a headcase that quit on his team. When Chris went down, he felt empowered to exert his interests and played the prima donna. We don’t need the headcase on this team. Ever again.

    LOL Casual-

    I think they both resign

Where is Gerald these days ?

    STOP.

There is no way AB is coming back here or playing anywhere.
Him being gone has nothing to do with Arians and everything to do with AB. He’s a mental diva who has thrown the team, the organization, the coaches, and Brady under the bus since he’s been gone.
Just this last week he’s busy posting naked photos with DeSean Jackson’s ex, threatening him and illegally bribing her. Get beyond AB. He’s pathetic at this point

i hope you realize I was being sarcastic.

  11. Dooley Says:

Suh is at home dealing with twin boys lol let him relax for 2-3 more weeks

  12. BUCman Says:

Tampabaybucfan: first of all we already filled AB’s position with Russell Gage. Second, Arians is still in the building and will have a voice. Third, the way AB embarrassed the organization there is no way they want any part of his s##t show again.

  13. Marine Buc Says:

    #1) Bruce Arians – .633 win % – (1) Super Bowl
    #2) Tony Dungy – .563 win % – brought respectability to Tampa
#3) Jon Gruden – 57 wins – (1) Super Bowl – looked cool growling on sidelines
#4) John McKay – 9 years – Best one liners in NFL history
#5) Sam Wyche – Good coach – horrible teams.

  14. Listnfrmafar Says:

Surprise , Surprise, another VETERAN considering coming back now that BA is gone. I can hear the conversation now between Glaizers and BA. Bruce, Tommy doesn’t want to play for you as well as many of the other players. Tom said he’d come back if you hit the road. We’ll offer you some BS office position so you can save face. What do you say Bruce? Ok, can I keep the golf cart? No.Gronk wants that, it’s part of his new deal. OK, I’ll go.

  15. DEEEMO Says:

As I said yesterday, it would be great to have Suh back but at what cost? We need to get younger on the D-Line to pair up with Vita Vea. Suh has been such a great player but he is 35 years old and getting long in the tooth. I think the draft will determine if we bring him back. Pretty sure with Bowles now the head coach this years Draft will see a strong emphasis on the defensive side of the ball. Just my thoughts!

  16. Marine Buc Says:

    LOL.

    Wrong post.

  17. mark2001 Says:

I’ll admit tbbf… it did sound unlike you. But if you hadn’t said it, I’m sure someone else would have, in Earnest. Or should I say, in Jameis.

  18. SufferingSince76 Says:

I hope he’s back. Bucs need him.

  19. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Good list though, Marine Buc

  20. BuccoBruce Says:

We all know Bruce and Tom bump heads espicially after that debacle at the Jets game with AB. Tom went out of his way and took AB in his house just to see him let go like that. So yes Tom would only come back if Bruce was gone. So what did this organization do? Promise Tom just that. But Bruce would not be let go that Sunday or Monday after Tom came back. It would would be to obvious. They waited weeks so this way it looks more like health and Minority issue, they waited for the NFL meetings This way Bruce looks good by naming Todd Bowels. Do not be shocked if AB comes back. It about winning a Superbowl for Tom its a business for the organization. Tom is calling the shots.

  21. David Says:

    Listfmrmdgjlgfdg

SUH has been negotiating with the Buccaneers for weeks. He’s been a huge fan of Todd Bowles forever. What he said on Twitter was just showing that support, it was nothing against BA. Your obsession with BA is ridiculous. Every player and coach who’s ever been with him loves the guy.
Yet you sitting home at on your couch somehow know better than they. LOL. Sure.

    Best Buccaneer coach in history

  22. Steven007 Says:

List, you and all the other Bruce haters should be singing his praises. Why? Because if their was some conflict between him and Tom, Bruce could have simply sat in his golf cart and let whatever happened happen. Do you think the glazers were going to fire him? No. So he did the mature thing, again assuming any of this conjecture of bad blood is true, and took his golf cart to the administrative end of the building. This should delight the Bruce haters even more than it did to blame him for everything that didn’t go perfectly while he was coach. So be thankful.

  23. David Says:

This nonsense that Brady wants be gone is pathetic

Shaun O’Hara played for BA. And said what anyone with an actual brain knows, every player and coach who’s ever been with that man loves the guy. He says there’s no way he’s leaving because that’s what Brady wants. He’s leaving because of his loyalty to his coaching staff, to leave them in the perfect situation and not when the organization is in a complete rebuild.

  24. ModHairKen Says:

Pay Suh. He adds a lot. Don’t be stupid like Raheem, who got rid of Derrick Brooks.

  25. SOEbuc Says:

How much money do these people need? I know Suh is a businessman, but show some leniency to the team that you say you love playing for. Inserting a weapon makes them that much more dangerous.

  26. Listnfrmafar Says:

David & Steven? Why hasn’t Brady confirmed or denied the conflict question with Arians? So the guy all excited about coming back as HC suddenly once Brady unretires BA retires. You’re a SB winning coach (?), you just won the NFC South, the best QB that ever played the game came back to your team and you say I’m done NOW? There is a difference between being dumb and acting dumb, I hope for your sake it’s the ladder. He got the boot and the office job is to save face.

  27. Steven007 Says:

List, he demonstrably did not get the boot. He obviously could have said no to an office job and the only way to remove him was to fire him. That didn’t happen. Frankly, I’m inclined to give just as much belief to what he said about wanting to give Todd the best situation instead of taking some other crappy job next year. His claim of controlling the narrative right now rings true to me. And if not, who cares? In the service of what exactly do we need to know how much or how little his relationship with Brady caused this decision? What purpose does that serve? It’s done, And again, in case you didn’t absorb it the first time, you should applaud the man for doing what he did which seems to be exactly what you want anyways. Be thankful. Bowles is now the coach, and I hope we have a great season.

  28. Defense Rules Says:

Bucs desperately need Suh back, but cost is always a factor. Suh is a leader on the DLine and you just can’t replace that with a rookie, no matter how good he is. I can see him having one, and more likely two, very good years left in him.

For the past 3 years with us, Suh has played every game & has averaged 5 sacks/15 QB Hits/8 TFL per year. His defensive snaps have been going down every year for the past several years (averaging just a tad less than 800 snaps/game), but when he’s out there he’s still a force to be reckoned with. Not bad for an ‘old man’. We need to bring him back, but still draft his replacement (Rnds 1 or 2) this year so he can learn from Suh.

  29. Esteban85 Says:

Sign the man! This guy is a hall of famer imo. He sets the tone on D with his veteran nastiness. Remember he is the dude who stripped the ball from Akers when we desperately needed a turnover. He is the glue!

  30. Esteban85 Says:

Joe is hustling these days! I appreciate the coverage! Great job

  31. Bruce Blahak Says:

Save The Licht House, get the pen out, SUUUUUUUUUUUHHH!!!

  32. Bucs Guy Says:

If the Bucs get a high end DT (Wyatt?) I don’t see the Bus re-signing Suh. Suh’s plan B.

  33. Pryda...Sec147 Says:

@Tampabaybucsfan I’d pull a will smith on you for that comment

  34. Crickett Baker Says:

I agree completely with David. I also do not think ANY player could fire ANY head coach, in ANY scenario, at all.

  35. stpetebucsfan Says:

@D.R. LMAO You save me a considerable amount of time posting since you almost always say what I was thinking anyway.

  36. TBfan Says:

If Tom had Bruce fired why in the hell would they be talking to each other… and hugging each other . It’s an absurd angle on this. 0% chance that it’s it all true. Yeah I’m thinking Tom doesn’t fly back 4 Bruce’s press conference if he was the one that shoved him out the door. Anybody that thinks Tom Brady is not a stand-up guy .. .doesn’t know Tom Brady. It’s hilarious to see some random person come up with a scenario that has 0 credibility. And then a bunch of guys jump in and run with it…🙄
