Playoff Preview: Bucs Can Beat The Packers

January 13th, 2022

Surprising Bucs believer.

Regular “Ira Kaufman Podcast” listeners know Joe does not worry about the Packers at all.

Of course, Aaron Rodgers is a Hall of Fame quarterback. And the Packers clearly have a strong team. However, history tells us one thing about Rodgers and Green Bay.

Since winning the Super Bowl for the 2010 season, Rodgers always finds a way to choke in the playoffs. Every year. Ev-er-ee year.

How many times has that team been a No. 1 seed since 2010 and they are still waiting to return to the Super Bowl? Rodgers is 7-8 in the postseason since he won the title.

The “Good Morning Football” weekend gang decided to choose which NFC playoff team can beat the Packers. Fetching Colleen Wolfe selected the Bucs.

You can sum up her reasoning in two words. “Tom Brady.” She said she heeded the advice of her mother: never bet against a guy who has been to 10 Super Bowls and has seven rings.

For Joe, this was a stunning admission. Wolfe is a shameless, die-hard Eagles girl. In fact, in an NFL Network documentary about major upsets, the Bucs beating the Eagles in the 2002 NFC Championship game was chosen and the whole piece focused on the Philly angle. Wolfe and some Philly radio slob were featured and all they did was rag on the Bucs and how the game damaged their lives.

Wolfe has despised the Bucs since that game and she confessed she has wanted to do evil things to Rondé Barber ever since, and that she is still triggered by the mere mention of his name.

So for Wolfe to think the Bucs can beat the Packers, that says a lot to Joe knowing how much she dislikes Tampa Bay.

You can see Wolfe’s full segment on the Bucs being the Packers’ top roadblock in the video below.

Again. One game at a time. Not get ahead of ourselves.

  2. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

I was at that Game in Philly.
It was the last game of Veterans Stadium, and the Eagles were favored.
    Donovan McNabb choked, big time!
I was not aware that Colleen Wolfe was a die hard Eagles Fan.
But she is right, we can beat the Packers.
With Tom Brady, we have a chance to beat ANY Team.

  3. SufferingSince76 Says:

She’s just trying to stoke the Philly faithful. She can’t help it that she’s right.

  4. JGhotier Says:

The Green Bay “Dairy”ère is who I’m most worried about of all the teams

  5. Francisco Guzman Says:

I think the packers should be rooting for Dallas. I think the 49ers would give them a tough game. I don’t know the rams or cardinals can beat them.

  6. Francisco Guzman Says:

Anyway bucs defense needs to show up on sunday as well as these other wideouts on offense. Need Johnson and perriman to step up.

  7. Joshua porter Says:

Again where are the pods ??

  8. scooter Says:

Rogers is intimidated by Suh since his Detroit Lions days.

  9. Nutterbutter95 Says:

Ah yes, we all know Aaron Rodgers is a humble man you doesnt seem to hold grudge and is perfectly fine seeing media all over the country say he is a playoff choker… that doesnt add fuel to his already “pissed off” Rodgers persona at all lmao!

  10. stpetebucsfan Says:

How about a four word summation.

    Been there, done that!

  11. Bird Says:

Its so crazy that those 2 same words “Tom Brady” trigger people

  12. Swampbuc Says:

I’ll volunteer to take Ronde’s place. She can do evil things to me instead.

    Save Ronde!

She also predicted the Eagles to beat the Bucs this weekend on the NFL wild card preview video

  14. Darin Says:

It’s playoff time so Anyone can beat the Packers. Rodgers is gonna need the Heimlich very soon

  15. Listnfrmafar Says:

It doesn’t matter what she thinks it’s about what the players think come game time. They stepped up in the Saints through SB playoffs, they are going to need that intensity again, the offense isn’t as good as last season.

  16. Alanbucsfan Says:

Don’t be surprised if Bucs are playing 49ers at RayJay 3 Sundays from now

  17. Joe Says:

I’ll volunteer to take Ronde’s place. She can do evil things to me instead.

That somehow doesn’t sound very evil. 🙂

  18. Joe Says:

Figures. She’s a total Eagles homer.

  19. Swampbuc Says:

At least she knows who she is. I was born in Philly back in the Jurrasic period so I understand the loyalty of some fans. But I lived there in the 60s during the Norm Snead era. He would almost make Mike GlenNonquarterback look decent. Almost.

  20. BucsBeBack (Artist formally known as: BringBucsBack) Says:

Ya’ll see her pointing at ME in that picture?

  21. Joe Says:

    during the Norm Snead era

Ouch. With those ugly white helmets? Bbbaaaddd football!

    🙂

  23. lambchop Says:

To be fair, last year’s choke job for the Packers was all on their dumb head coach. Apparently, he’s never heard of Tom Brady.
