Eagles Facing A Different Sort Of QB

January 13th, 2022

“Hi, my name is ‘Tom.'”

Joe already pointed out the Eagles have beaten one team that had a winning record this season (also a team that embarrassingly slapped around the Bucs pretty good — twice).

Even better, the Eagles haven’t exactly faced a long list of Hall of Fame quarterbacks in the past few weeks.

Since losing to the Chargers and Justin Herbert in early November, it’s been garbage quarterbacks with the exception of Dak Prescott who threw for five touchdowns before he was pulled in a 51-26 Cowboys win on Sunday.

So now the Eagles have to get ready for some guy named “Tom Brady.” He eats teams alive in the postseason and lives for games in January and February.

Hello Eagles fans, welcome to Tampa. The stadium is also known as Brady’s house without the unruly tenant.

I could be wrong….but I believe the last time the Eagles beat a winning team on the road was Buffalo back in 2019 with Pederson at HC and Wentz at QB.

Our success depends more on how we play the first half of the game than who the opponent is. We are capable of beating everybody in the playoffs if we play to our potential for the whole game and I just the second half

Brady does some of his best work, playing from behind.

  4. Swampbuc Says:

Hey Beer — hopefully we won’t need his best work then. I can’t take it

    Swampbuc, I agree, lol

The Bucs are down early, too often, my opinion.
But I’ve never thought “you know who” won’t pull a rabbit out of his hat, and gitter done.

I am remaining cautiously optimistic. Let’s not be thinking we will just walk on the field and win without playing our best. Remember how we all were so confident before the home Saunts game?

I agree getting behind lesser teams and having to come back takes all the joy out of the game until the end, providing we win. I would like to stomp the eagles so bad that we actually pull starters earlier in the fourth quarter. That’s a fun game for a Bucs fan since 1976.

The Buccaneers were destroying them in the first half. There’s no reason the O cannot do the same even without Godwin. This time no letting off the gas.
The difference is the Eagles running attack has become deadly and the Buccaneers rushing defense has been average.
Hopefully Shaq and JPP are ready to go. And a big bonus if LVD is ready.

Yet we lost to Trever Semen and Taylor Heineken making them look like all pros and tried to lose to Zack Wilson and he sliced us up like warm butter so that doesn’t mean anything especially since we didn’t have a great record winning teams last year. Our run defense has disappeared and pass defense had bit been that at all the whole season. Our OL is the most important unit. They keep Brady clean give him 2 seconds to throw and Lenny gets gets 55 yards and some scores and we’ll win. Eagles don’t have enough to hang with Brady
