A must-win game for playoff seeding nearly became the biggest upset of the NFL season. The bumbling Jets were the more physical and aggressive team but the Bucs survived.
Tom Brady calmly engineered a 93-yard drive with no timeouts and threw his 40th touchdown pass of the season to Cyril Grayson — Cyril Grayson! — for the critical victory to push the Bucs to 12-4.
Grayson finished with six catches for 81 yards. Wow!
The Bucs survived against the NFL’s worst defense. Joe still can’t believe how this game went down.
Major love to Rob Gronkowski for a big day, and to Mike Evans having a successful comeback from his bad hamstring and COVID.
Le’Veon Bell showed his value and man, this is one weird Bucs team. And that’s not even considering the epic Antonio Brown meltdown.

Any basketball fans out there remember when Scottie Pippen quit on his team because Phil Jackson wanted Toni Kukoc to hit the game winning shot? And Kukoc actually hit it and won the game and Scottie looked like a fool?
Same energy with AB. And his replacement Cyril Grayson came in and won the game.

AB wasn’t this same guy when he was in the league the first several years. Somebody mentioned it before. That hit by Burfict changed everything. He started falling off the rails. It’s sad to see because we watch guys like V Jax become somebody they aren’t. I don’t think AB is a bad dude at all but I think his brain is not right from all the shots taken. Unfortunately I can’t see this having an okay conclusion. Brady just verifies his GOAT status with every game. True icewater in his veins. The good news out of a rough deal with AB is that Grayson continues to make the absolute most of his opportunities. He is emerging.

The players weren’t that bad, the offensive and defensive schemes were worse than most high schools run.
I would almost like to see both Leftwich and Bowles go away; especially if they go off to coach the Falcons or Panthers.

Bucs were quite lucky they woke up in the 4th qtr. Jets really outplayed them for 3. I hope Brady gets in more work with his new receivers. They need it. We got 3 Big offensive keys missing now. Still not sure if we will recover to win a superbowl.

Tom Brady almost singlehanded won this game. Bucs defense tightened it up in 2nd half but that first half was awful. Playing zone coverage vs Jets was a gift. Later in the game they played closer to the line of scrimmage and Wilson felt less comfortable.
Not sure if Bucs coaching staff knows what it is doing. 50 throws a game by Brady is too many and playing soft zone is a slow painful death for defense.
