Epic And Sad Meltdown By Antonio Brown (Video)

January 2nd, 2022

Antonio Brown

Perhaps Antonio Brown’s chef threw an updated invoice on the field?

Was it COVID brain?

Or was it just the same guy who threw furniture off buildings and a bicycle at a condo guard shack, among his other alleged and non-alleged misdeeds?

Whatever it was, Brown melted down in the third quarter today against Jets. He ripped off his shoulder pads on the sideline during play and then took off his gloves and t-shirt and launched it into the crowd (video below). Per the Fox broadcast, security guards at Met Life Stadium thought Brown was a fan on the field as he ran across it to the locker room following his tantrum.

Had coaches pulled Brown out of the game and he freaked out? It’s all unclear.

But what is clear is that Brown’s mental issues haven’t been solved. It’s sad, ridiculous and outrageous all at the same time.

Thanks for the memories, Antonio.

  3. Ben green Says:

Brady’s constant and consistent support is baffling

  4. Ben green Says:

    Say goodbye to a repeat

  5. Im not tired anymore we Super Bowl Champs!! Says:

Better bring him back! Football is an emotional game. Sometimes you just lose it. Go Bucs!

  6. Listnfrmafar Says:

My guess is he has incentives riding in this game and BA is punishing him for vcard. If that’s the case, thanks BA, can you say off-season.

  7. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Yup, a forced retirement. No team is gonna touch this butthead with a 10 foot pole now.

  8. bucs4life Says:

yeah. bad brown is unacceptable. saint arians just made the right call by benching one of the best receivers in the league when we were losing by two touchdowns against a 4-11 team, right?

  9. Anonymous Says:

    Diva !!!!!!!!

  10. Elita Vita Says:

With Godwin out Brown presumably gone……what will be of our beloved Bucs?

  11. jugheadfla Says:

    I blame Jenna Laine

  12. Lamarcus Says:

Whoever wanted to keep this clown…..look very dumb right. Why vouch for a guy like that?

  13. WalkdaPlank Says:

This dude was given so many chances. SO MANY. Even his most loyal supporters and the people who didn’t like him but wanted him to play are done with him.

And the Bucs are losing. To the Jets. Sad day.

  14. Nprbuc Says:

Hope the team calls an Uber for him. No way shod he be anywhere near the team that supported him. Enough is enough.

  15. Nutbucer Says:

    ✌️

  16. westernbuc Says:

I’m dying laughing. What a way to go out

  17. Listen Linda! Says:

The guy got pissed and pulled his pads off.
Nobody called for Brady to be done when he got pissed and threw a tablet.
It’s not the end of the world.

  18. WalkdaPlank Says:

Throwing a tablet at the end of a game and throwing your pads off and shirt and gloves into the stands at halftime are not the same thing haha

  19. WTF Says:

AB is my hero. The way the Bucs are playing, they don’t deserve his talent.

  20. Greg Says:

    Brady didn’t leave the field.

  21. Tony1775 Says:

    Minter is garbage

  22. jmason Says:

CAN JACKSONVILLE TKE BOTH BOLES AND LEFTWICH?

  23. Donna Says:

    And his salary is…???

  24. Listnfrmafar Says:

One and done, one and done, Brady retires because BA sucks, ALL week it was about BA’s has covid, BA foot hurts, BA, BA, BA, how is he different from AB? Attention grabber.

  25. Mike Johnson Says:

Tony Dungy was right. AB should have been let go after the fake virus ID card. Now AB will do so. Good luck to AB. I hope he get the serious professional help he needs. Something tells me he will not though. Kinda sad for us and him.

  26. Aceofaerospace Says:

Adios A-hole. There’s no coming back from that.

  27. Alanbucsfan Says:

Once you quit on the team… gotta go

  28. Weebs10 Says:

I don’t get the Bruce Arians hate

  29. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Outstanding video Joe. Thanks! Those are selfish actions that cannot be defended. Give him his gold watch, he’s done in this league!

  30. Listen Linda! Says:

I’d leave the field to if I was getting beat by the Jets.

  31. Morgus the Magnificent Says:

If Arians had KEPT HIS DAMN WORD THE FIRST TIME….we wouldn’t have to witness this sh!t.

  32. Listen Linda! Says:

    Media making up drama.

  33. jorge Says:

    AB you’re a loser !!

  34. jugheadfla Says:

    TD baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  35. BUC IT Says:

If we win and rams lose then we are #2 seed. There is a lot on the line. We are losing and you allowed AB to be active this game. You are letting Mike play on a bad hammy but won’t let AB play. This is Arians punishing AB and trying to keep him from hitting his bonuses. I blame BA on this…..We better not cut AB…. We don’t want him going to a rival. Just make him inactive

  36. DanBucsFan Says:

Sure woulda been nice to have AB playing in second half. I dnt blame him 4 wanting 2 be on the field but not the way 2 go about it. LOOK AT HOW TB12 goes dwn field with backups n wins the game! GOAT!!

  37. Morgus the Magnificent Says:

    BUCS WIN!!! without AholeB

  38. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Brady’s legend continues to grow. 93 yards, just barely over 2 minutes, no timeouts, with no Godwin and no Brown. WOW!!!!!

  39. Howard Cosell Says:

Brady will made the young WR into superstars in these coming playoffs

  40. Duane Says:

At least we ALL can agree that the AB experiment had a minute shelf life, and we likely got off lucky with his shenanigans. Bench him for the season and cut him in the offseason. Dude is his worst enemy.

  41. Howard Cosell Says:

Brady is colder than ice. Absolute Zero. No molecular motion except for Brady’s single minded focus.

  42. Bangkok Buc Says:

Keep him until we win the Superbowl. The. Load him into the pirate ship cannon and shoot him into the sun

  43. BomTrady Says:

NFL football is entertainment, at the very least, so was AB’s retirement.

  44. Buc4evr Says:

Should have signed OBJ. 5 TDs in 6 games. AB is history but Grayson is looking good.

  45. Tampadeuce21 Says:

Good riddance. The fact we won will prevail of this psychos actions.

  46. Jaybuc Says:

Just a matter of time. Amazing he lasted the entire season last year.

  47. Howard Cosell Says:

Howard says keep Brown. He was probably angry that the Bucs were sucking LOL

  48. freadity Says:

He better have an explanation or this is a TEAM GAME, get out!

  49. Howard Cosell Says:

Howard would take his shirt off too if his team was playing badly

  50. Tampadeuce21 Says:

Team knows they are fine without him now. Plus we have a week of reg left to stamp this mentality.

  51. Bob in valrico Says:

unbelievable ending , Was worried with short passes in beginning of last drive.
But Brady threaded the needle at the most important time of game.

  52. BomTrady Says:

Howard would have taken his toupee off and thrown it in the crowd

  53. unbelievable Says:

Yeah Brady didn’t walk off the field though.

    Big difference.

  54. Casual Observer Says:

BA is the best wide receiver I’ve ever seen. But he is a mental case. Needs psychiatric help. Hope he gets it.

  55. Player 1 Says:

I can’t believe some of you clowns still want him back? Dude took off his damn uniform and bailed mid game. Weak. No freaking way anyone on this team could trust that freak ever again

  56. OHBucsFan Says:

Are people really trying to defend a player who quit on his team? I don’t care if you have $3M on the line. You’re playing for your next contract as well.
    HE QUIT ON HIS TEAM!

  57. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

Said it from the beginning… Bad signing!! Dude doesn’t deserve to be in this league!!… Plus soon as he left they clicked and played better the rest of the game… I hated this signing from the beginning!!

  58. PassingThru Says:

Maybe it was just hot and humid?

It was like that movie Slap Shot, when that hockey player does a strip tease during the game.

  59. mg Says:

    That was a Hallmark Moment.

  60. Howard Cosell Says:

    @TomT
Yes! Toupee too! (and its expensive)
Sometimes Howard, like Brown, lets his fighting spirit get out of hand.

  61. Howard Cosell Says:

Just forgive. Let he who is without adrenaline cast the first meme

  62. Bucschamp Says:

Damn. bad news for bucs, good news for those who will pick him up

  63. Howard Cosell Says:

Howard can’t wait to hear the Joes takes on this

  64. Francisco Guzman Says:

Something tells me Arians is involved in all this. We shall see.

  65. mg Says:

    I”ll take idiot for a $1000.00, Alex.

  66. BUC IT Says:

Bruce Arians is a clown for how he handled this….. If you didn’t want him to play then make him inactive and this never happens…..

  67. Francisco Guzman Says:

My expectations for this team are no more. Just happy with whateva they do in the playoffs. Too many injuries especially godwin and likely no more AB.

  68. FairMinded Says:

Drama Queen. Thank God for Grayson pulling off the win. Class acts like Mike Evans and Godwin will help lead this WR room and our team to the promised land again. AB will not be missed…not after that clown show. Sucks to see him go honestly. But no choice

  69. Mike Johnson Says:

Give Arians credit. he tried with AB. Gave him more breaks than I sneak in at work. AB is done. Stick a fork in’em. Let hope he gets some help. Although he probably will refuse it. Kinda sad guys.

  70. Doctor Stroud Says:

It’s nice to see that a lot of Bucs fans were at the stadium.

  71. T REX Says:

    He was just cut

  72. Merlin Says:

Thanks for locking up the division last week. Hope you get the help you need. No need to come back and collect your things; we’ll mail them to you.

  73. Craig Says:

Baker act him, he is clearly a danger to himself.

  74. T REX Says:

Per Arians he was just cut

  75. SB~LV Says:

Liberty City is waiting to squeeze is last dollar, lots of folks he diss’d over the years just waiting for him on their streets.
Sad but there are no excuses anymore.

  76. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    MAGA Make Antonio Gone Again

  77. Bucschamp Says:

AB you fool. you were given another chance after the vax card and you screwed it.

  78. Jason from JA Says:

@Ben Green. Now we’ve added locker room issues to the mix of injuries.

It is going to be very difficult…
… but it is a Brady influenced TEAM (remember that AB)

  79. Bob in valrico Says:

Just watched Gronk in his interview after game ,what a class act . Gottaa love
    his never quit attitude.
But a bit later in telecast Antonio Brown was being discussed, and there goes Srahan saying He’s not happy, throwing off his jacket and walking off the stage. Apologies, List but that was effing funny. But it is sad that AB chose that moment
to affect the game and probably end his career. Thanks AB for your contributions
before the second half of this game. Most Buc fans wish you well.

  80. Ben green Says:

I’d never doubt the goat Jason, but he needs every weapon at his disposal to overcome the rest of the team

  81. firethecannons Says:

ok whatever he was on a snap count reached his total and was pissed. He wasn’t going to sit the bench. Good with it–we’ll get more clarification from Bruce Almighty

  82. stpetebucsfan Says:

Play with fire and you’re gonna get burned. Is anybody really that surpised.

I honestly thought it wouldl happen off field not on though.

  83. WalkThePlank Says:

There are no excuses for Antonio Brown’s behaviors. His actions are the result of his thoughts. As they are for all of us. Consequences from good or bad decisions. The fact that he was angry because he wasn’t playing enough to his satisfaction in order to receive his bonus incentive pay, is ridiculous. There was still plenty of time left in the game, and for the rest of the season. As “Captain Obvious” would say- Mr. Brown hasn’t learned anything about being a true team member. He’s still the same arrogant, selfish person that he’s always been. The caliber of his character has resulted in his release from the Buccaneers. He was given an opportunity to change his ways when he came to the Buccaneers. He CHOSE not to be a patient, hard~working, humble, grateful player making millions of dollars every year. I’d like to invite him to go to work with my husband- he has poured concrete all day long in the blazing Florida sun, for 30 years now. He’s a real man working hard to provide for our family. I don’t feel sorry for Antonio Brown, at all. He needs to grow up. My little grandchildren are more mature than he is. Seriously. Also, I found it inspiring that after he took off his jersey and abandoned his team, they didn’t let his temper tantrum bring them down. Instead, they forged ahead and won the game, after all. GO BUCCANEERS!!

  84. Jerry Strickland Says:

That was the most ridiculous and unsportsmanlike act that I have ever witnessed on an NFL game. I am 71 yrs old and been watching NFL games since I was old enough to sit by my daddy and yell for the team he was yelling for.
I pray Antonio Brown will never ever be anywhere near any NFL game again. I hope he is never allowed in an NFL stadium again. I hope they fine him so much that he will never even come close to paying it.

  85. Danggg12 Says:

Just threw away the last team that would take your sorry ass smh what a 👶

  86. Anonymous Says:

I just feel bad for his kids to deal with school now after ABs embarrassing meltdown.

  87. Coburn Says:

Dude quit on the team, luckily we managed to win without him. Would have hated to lose after. Got no place for quitters

  88. Coburn Says:

Hey I appreciate what he did for us last year. Prob don’t win a superbowl without him, but can’t have people who quit on the team

  89. Colin in Canada Says:

I feel bad for the guy. Tough to see someone self destruct on live TV. Guys will say they support mental health issues but when its right there if front of us we often make fun of the guy suffering. It is what it is. He cant be on the team because hes unreliable. Still feel for the guy.

  90. TBone Says:

AB was inactive (serving suspensions) for more games than he actually played for the Bucs. Only Godwin’s injury makes this a thing.

  91. Captain Dan Lawrence Says:

Our win was only made more amazing by over coming this ridiculous display and distraction! Go BUCS!

  92. Crach3rK Says:

Joe said: “Perhaps Antonio Brown’s chef threw an updated invoice on the field?”
    BEST LEAD EVER! Lol…

  93. Steve Gaudreau Says:

If his foot was bothering him by the 3rd quarter and he didn’t want to go in then they should have just listened and leave him alone. If they pushed him to go back in and he got triggered from it then who’s to blame. I’m not defending his response but I’m not saying that the coaches were listening to him either. There’s a whole lot of money that got left on the table so there’s something going on here that we don’t know and they don’t want us to know. And laughing about mental health issues doesn’t help either. TB12 backs that thought process up and then there’s a reason why he is still on the roster as well. People get heated sometimes. I really think this is more on the coaches than the player.
