Tops in Pro Bowl votes at ILB.
Joe can just hear his good friend, the late-great “The Big Dog,” Steve Duemig, hollering on his microphone in dismay, “What’s wrong with you people?”
Despite the Bucs having a virtual Pro Bowl team for a roster, and having two players lead their respective positions in Pro Bowl voting, there are at least five teams whose players have received more votes than the Bucs’. And maybe more as only the top-five are listed.
While Brady and White lead Pro Bowl voting at quarterback and inside linebacker, you won’t find any of Bucs’ offensive linemen leading at their positions. No, you won’t see Tristan Wirfs, Ali Marpet, Donovan Smith or Ryan Jensen among the leaders.
As far as players per team that have received votes, the Bucs are not in the top-five. That belongs to Cowboys, the Belicheats, the Chiefs, the Rams and the Crows.
Duemig’s scolding voice is ringing in Joe’s ears.

An update on Pro Bowl fan voting…
Devin White currently leads all linebackers. Tom Brady leads all quarterbacks. Tristan Wirfs seventh among offensive tackles. Ryan Jensen ninth among centers. Alex Cappa sixth and Ali Marpet 10th among guards. No WR or RBs.

All this team needs to care about is getting to the SB and repeating. Screw the pro bowl popularity contest.

Tom Brady is a total no-brainer……..Devin White has competition but he is an outstanding player…….He make plays nobody else can……the Grizzly. Just ask America’s QB what it’s like to be tracked down by him.

I voted for every single Bucs player that was on there, even though some may not be deserving THIS year, they have definitely been deserving before and missed out.

Yeah it’s funny because base on this year (and even last year) I’d rate both marpet and wirfs as better at their positions than white. He has shown some improvement recently

The Pro Bowl selection process is a joke. Fans should have something else to vote for. Leave the Pro Bowl voting to the professionals.

The Pro Bowl is a joke, we all know that, the problem is when players like Lavonte David get HOF consideration they are judged by Pro Bowls. This is a problem. There is no fair way to do it but we have to stop treating pro bowls as if the are an indication of how good a player is. We have seen time and time again that best player does not even make it to the pro bowl.

It’s weird, the perception of Cappa. Marpet is a better player… And how is Wirfs only 7th in Pro Bowl votes? Who is actually better?

IMO important is the MVP.
..and TB12 deserve it so far, for having an 8-3 team with terrible D.

2 – Josh Allen

The fans are only one third of the vote. They vote the starters. The coaches and players vote the reserves so if Marpet, Wirfs, LVD is deserving of the pro bowl, then it will come down to what the coaches and players think of them. Cant blame the fans

Duemig was the best and I miss listening to him. The pro bowl voting was shady before they let the fans get involved and it’s only gotten worse since.

BUCS ARE GOING TO BE unstoppable and especially when brown gets back next week. I really don’t see no other team as good as the BUCS. The BUCS should blow out every other team remaining on there schedule. BUCS vs Patriots BUCS WIN Superbowl… would be a damn good tough Superbowl.
