Ali Marpet Is Practicing

Some Bucs fans are skittish about Nick Leverett starting at left guard. Understandable, because it wasn’t long ago he was a practice squad dude.
With Ali Marpet and Aaron Stinnie both out, Leverett was pressed into duty at Indianapolis (and wasn’t so bad at all). Still, there is now film of him that opposing defenses will dissect to find angles to work against him. Trust Joe.
Marpet was limited in practice yesterday but he was out there. He hurt his abdomen in the Giants game and hasn’t played since. Today, he was at practice again, at least the first half-hour portion of practice open to media, which is virtually limited to warm-ups and stretching.
Joe’s good friend Rock Riley and shot video of Marpet on the field. Joe knows if Marpet can go it will give Bucs fans a sigh of relief.
Personally, Joe would prefer to see Marpet sit to rest up and heal up fully so he can be ready to rock and roll against Buffalo and beyond.

Joe, with all due respect, is not about being “skittish about Nick Leverett “,is about having back an excellent player like Ali and also about what happens if Leverett goes down? Medicated Pete will be the strater?

I agree with Joe. Let Leverett play this week.
Stinnie has a bad whatchacallit, his certainty is uncertain at best, or worse.
Bucs cannot afford, Marpet having a setback.

Would love to see marpet out there especially with no stinnie but I don’t want anyone rushed back..nfl has no gimme games but I would like resting White, marpet and even Carlton Davis cuz we can’t afford any reaggravated injuries with bills and saints on deck..we can survive the dirty birds by running it down their throat with fournette and Jones

As long as Matty Ice doesn’t go down and they bring in a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th string QB. Then we will really be screwed!

Now we lose Edwards 3 weeks and Brown probably just an extra week.
Is Dean coming back soon? The injuries this year have been unbelievable

Double standard? A cover up is a cover up. A lie is a lie.How can the NFL suspend these players three games without pay and only fine Rogers $15k? And the union agreed to this? I really don’t see any difference between what Rogers did and these guys.
