Best Season For Tom Brady … At 44?

December 7th, 2021

Master.

Tom Brady is even outdoing himself this year. That’s amazing when you think of his accomplishments.

But there is more! Yes, Brady is 44. Joe understands folks get tired of reading that but it is so important. We haven’t seen anything like this.

Outside of maybe of Gordie Howe or Nolan Ryan, Joe cannot think of a guy in his mid-40s who was among the best at his position in the four major sports. There have been guys who played into their mid-40s but they weren’t being soberly discussed as a league MVP like Brady is.

(If you want to throw pitcher Jamie Moyer at Joe, who started 33 games for the Phillies at age 45, remember he didn’t even make the All-Star Game.)

Folks, every time Brady takes the field, we are watching history and very likely will never see anything like it again.

And BSPN dug up a stat that may suggest old man Brady could be having the best year of his storied career.

Now remember, Brady just notched his sixth four-touchdown game in 2021 on Sunday. There are still five games to be played! He very well could have seven and looking at the soft Bucs schedule after Buffalo on Sunday, Brady could have eight.

Would it surprise you?

Folks, treasure what we are witnessing with the Bucs each Sunday. It’s possible we may never see a Bucs offense this dangerous again.

And it’s a fair bet we will never see another cat like Brady at quarterback.

Just watched “Man in the arena” this episode covers Bradys 07 season, it’s hard to believe Brady could have a better overall season this year, I’m enjoying it 👍.

  2. Medicated Pete Says:

Brady’s gonna win MVP & Erin Rogers will flake-out again

  3. BucfanBF Says:

I will add that Brady has never, (NEVER) ever had the quality and amount of weapons that he has now with the Bucs.
If Brady and the Bucs win the Super Bowl again this year, I wonder how much of his time here in Tampa will be mentioned when he speaks as a sure fire first ballot HOF induction speech?

Enjoy everything now because we are unlikely to ever have a team as deep and talented with such a quality QB ever again……
    LFG!!!

  4. Medicated Pete Says:

Drunken Bucs fans need to chant “MVP, MVP…. ” for Brady this Sunday instead of double-fisting beers and blacking out

  5. BA4President Says:

I fear that Brady will get snubbed by Kyler Murray if the Cardinals get the #1 seed.

I think Brady should get it, especially if he gets to seven 4-TD games, but I feel like the sports writers take Brady for granted and automatically discount him in these MVP conversations.

He currently has the most attempts, completions, TD’s, and yards in the NFL, also has the best TD/INT ratio of any QB with over 25 passing TD’s.

“And it’s a fair bet we will never see another cat like Brady at quarterback.”

Not when your best QB in almost 50 years of franchise history before Brady is Jameis Winston you won’t lol

  7. Kentucky Buc Says:

Interesting that you mentioned Nolan Ryan. They both had/have the same throwing coach. Tom House. Although House probably learned more from Ryan than Ryan did from him.

  8. JimBuc2 Says:

MedPete what is it with you? Are you the next Ed Gein? Or perhaps Albert Fish?
    Go Buces

  9. BigPoppaBuc Says:

It’s just craziness. And there have been a few games where Brady has been off and left some points on the field. He’s dealt with an injury to his throwing hand and a spell of ugly penalties. Point is, Brady is having a record breaking season and it feels like the best has yet to come. Go Bucs!

  10. Buc55 Says:

    This is a dream I don’t wanna wake up…

  11. Joe Says:

I fear that Brady will get snubbed by Kyler Murray if the Cardinals get the #1 seed.

Maybe. What hurts Murray is, he was out how many games (?) and the Cardinals kept winning.

  12. Posey99 Says:

Agree here Joe, yet people come here to trash the Team/ Coach or a player. It would be the equivalent of watching the 1990’s Michael Jordan led bulls and complaining about how B.J Armstrong needs to hustle more or Phil Jackson should be sent packing.

  13. Kentucky Buc Says:

If u put Brady’s numbers on Murray or Josh Allen or even Mahomes they would be the run away favorite for MVP. Brady’s been so good for so long that any excuse is used to discredit him.

  14. Posey99 Says:

Any long time bucs fan I highly recommend making it to a game to say you saw him in person.

  15. Listnfrmafar Says:

Pete, what does BA & Bucs fans have in common?

  16. Beeej Says:

Yeah one thing about Ryan, he beat the crap out of Robin Ventura at that age. Brady needs to beat the crap out of a smaller cornerback…mebbe a kicker

  17. Buczilla Says:

Our top three wide receivers (Mike,Chris, & Antonio) are all better than any receivers that we’ve had in our mostly sordid receiver past, so I’m definitely grateful for what we have. Brady is one of a kind, so nuff said on that dude. Throw in our best offensive line ever with Gronk and our offense is downright sinful when everyone is on the same page.

  18. SlyPirate Says:

    Next Game:
18 pass completions until TB12 is the all-time leader

  19. Bucsfanman Says:

MVP? Sure. Another SB? H3ll Yeah!!!
I think he, and Bucs fans, would rather have another Lombardi!

He stands alone and it’s hard to imagine that anyone will ever surpass his accomplishments.

  20. David Says:

I don’t know if it’s his best season. The year they went undefeated and then lost the Super Bowl didn’t he have 50 touchdowns and just under 5000 yards?
I know another year he went over 5000 yards.
This season is definitely amongst those if he ends up close to 5000 and over 45 touchdowns.
All I want are healthy defensive backs and a repeat!!

  21. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Best year ever?
I don’t know, but has he ever thrown more pick 6s then he has already this year?

  22. geno711 Says:

    @Dooosh

Brady has a total of 18 pick 6’s for his career. Not sure how many this year.
Stafford has a total of 26 for his career. Got to think he will remain the career leader over Tom.

Fouja Singh might be one of the best old age athletes ever. At age 92, he finished a marathon in 5 hours and 40 minutes.

  23. tampabayallday Says:

    Go Bucs

  24. kyle Says:

fccking cardinals are going to be a problem.. murray is a guy

  25. kyle Says:

if we have to go play the cardinals in a dome in january!! im betting on brady. karen rodgers is going to do her thing and she will be there in the end im sure.

  26. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Geno,

    He’s thrown 3 this year.

  27. Steve Burke Says:

Some folks are saying that Tom Brady was born in a manger in San Mateo…

  28. Infomeplease Says:

Pete,. That must be the best idea you have ever posted!! We all know how good TB12!!!!! This season is his best yet!! TB12 leads the NFL in almost every QB stat!!!

The sad truth is that most NFL fans, not living in Florida, don’t realize how great TB12 is playing!!!!!!!

A sellout stadium full of loud and proud Bucs fans chanting “MVP”, when appropriate, several times during a major nationally televised game could help turn your wisdom into reality!! MVP. MVP. MVP

  29. bucschamp Says:

if Tom stayed with the Pats he would only be allowed to throw 3 passes all night.

  30. adam from ny Says:

cardinals will not be a problem…

we will knock them off in their own building if necessary…

    remember these words buc fans……..remember

  31. BucUToo Says:

Not to mention that he’s done it only 12 games so far. So no asterisk either.

  32. Listnfrmafar Says:

Thank you BA, your saving Brady’s legacy.

  33. G.Marosi Says:

TB12 is the goat and there is no denying this years MVP, hands down.

  34. TampabayDJ82 Says:

Posey99 – I FINALLY made it to watch him destroy the Bears in person !! And I’m going to this weekend’s game, which is going to be like a playoff game .. GO BUCS AND GO BRADY MVP !!!
