Falcons Beat Saints 27-25; Bucs Take Command In NFC South

November 7th, 2021

Saints-killer

For most of today, the Saints offense looked like it was supposed to last Sunday against the Bucs.

Third-string quarterback Trevor Siemian was his meh self and the Falcons defense wasn’t making the Saints’ second-rate receivers look like Pro Bowlers.

Backup QB Taysom Hill replaced Siemian early in the fourth quarter and former Bucs DE Stephen Means recovered a huge sack/fumble of Hill and rumbled deep to the Saints’ 5 yard line with just under 11 minutes to play.

The Falcons scored a play later and Siemian returned for New Orleans.

Nobody blows a big lead quite like Atlanta (4-4), but it sure looked awfully rough for the Saints (6-2) to pull off the comeback down three scores. And they almost did.

Matt Ryan’s deep shot to Cordarrelle Patterson shocked the world with less than one minute to play, a 64-yard completion that set up the game-winning field goal.

Siemian finished 25-of-41 for 249 yards and 2 touchdown and 1 lost fumble.

The Saints loss puts the Bucs (6-2) back in full command in the NFC South. New Orleans has two losses in the division to just one for the Bucs. New Orleans fell to Carolina (4-5) in September.

Way to bring it home, Matty Ice!

Worst thing that could happen for Bucs. I would of liked to see them hungry and earn it. Now back to cruise control.

  2. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

    This makes me happy.

  3. Francisco Guzman Says:

Bucs really embarrassed themselves in that saints game. Made a journeyman look great. I don’t care if they had backups. You should not lose that game.

  4. Francisco Guzman Says:

Bucs can’t overlook anybody in their schedule including the giants who are beating the raiders right now.

  5. Bird Says:

I was wrong about this game. It makes you wonder how bad our defense really
    Is.

    And cmon broncos over cowboys.

  9. JGhotier Says:

    Francisco Guzman,

“made a Journeyman look GREAT” 😂 riiiighhttt

In no way did Siemian look “great”. SMH. He helped lead his team to best us, but HE didn’t look great. He was average at best. Dude completed like 55% of his passes for barely over 150 yards and played most of the game. Had a SINGLE TD throw and had multiple almost picks and a for sure INT that called back due to penalty.

  10. Francisco Guzman Says:

Falcons about to blow this game? Unreal!!!!!

  11. Francisco Guzman Says:

    WTF are the falcons doing?

  12. Francisco Guzman Says:

24-6 and the game is about to be 24-20 or 24-21. This si a meltdown falcons or complete bust trying to lose the game.

  13. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

The Raiders lost their best receiver, so what do you expect ?
I have been watching the Falcons beating the Saints all game!

  16. 163Doubleplay Says:

lets go falcons! beat the saints !

  17. Francisco Guzman Says:

It looks like the falcons are literally trying the game away on purpose. How do you blow a lead like this although they did blow a 28-3 lead .

  18. Francisco Guzman Says:

Falcons better run out the clock.

  19. 163Doubleplay Says:

Here goes noodle legs matt ryan !!! hahahaha

  20. Casual Observer Says:

As you say, the Falcons have a history … . Don’t look at the new standings yet.

  21. ClodHopper Says:

Atlanta will blow it they always do

  23. Jbeachbuc Says:

Fss as Falcons.. what a joke off a team.

  24. Francisco Guzman Says:

This feels more like throwing away a game. How do you such a lead that late?

  25. wff0077@yahoo.com Says:

you can always count on the Falcons to step on their own packages.

  26. wff0077@yahoo.com Says:

    Falcons suck.

If saints wins here, Winston will be doing jumping jacks with crutches.. 🤣🤣🤣

  30. Youngbucs Says:

Ok why did I have faith in the falcons wtf!

  31. Francisco Guzman Says:

It was 24-6 with 9 minutes left. It sounds fishy to me. The falcons clearly threw this game away.

  32. Rod Munch Says:

Of course the Falcons are going to blow it. They’re losers. That’s what losers do.

  33. 163Doubleplay Says:

I’m not sure if the Falcons defense is better than the bucs defense.

  34. Francisco Guzman Says:

Bucs need to take care of business on their own.

  35. Rod Munch Says:

When the Falcons were up big in the 4th quarter, you just knew those idiots would lose the game. That’s just who they are, a worthless piece of trash franchise that needed Chris Chandler to take them to a Super Bowl.

  36. Rod Munch Says:

    LOL! Just complete losers.

The Saints winning is bad, but watching the idiot Falcons blow huge leads is also fun.

  37. Chuckstutz Says:

    Well damn.

  38. Francisco Guzman Says:

You can’t depend on other teams to do your dirty work. Bucs need to start winning games.

  39. Rod Munch Says:

Did anyone actually think this wouldn’t be the outcome?

  40. Bird Says:

    Haahhahahahahha

  41. Rod Munch Says:

Stupid Matt Ryan celebrating like he won the Super Bowl on their last TD – then he sees a SB like collapse. LOL! Matty Ice, biggest choke artist in football.

  42. PassingThru Says:

Epic choke job, even by Falcon standards.

  43. 163Doubleplay Says:

that was unexpected from the Falcons

  44. Rod Munch Says:

Ryan will probably march the Falcons down to about the Saints 40, then get stripped sacked.

  45. PassingThru Says:

Perhaps I spoke too soon. Let’s see what craziness the officials impose.

  46. 163Doubleplay Says:

    Falcons take a knee

  47. JGhotier Says:

    There we go Dirty Birds!

Would love to be in control of our own destiny for the Division

  48. Francisco Guzman Says:

Falcons can win it with a fg.

  49. Jbeachbuc Says:

Jesus. If you’ve got nowhere to go just get on the ground my God!

  50. Rod Munch Says:

Watching on Red Zone so it’s not real time… but I stand by the Falcons figuring out how to blow this.

    Then Davis fumbles. LOL!

They keep the ball, but my God, what a stupid team, just take a knee you idiots.

  51. 163Doubleplay Says:

There you. Now Bucs lead the divison while on vacation… YES!!! GO BUCS !!!!

  52. Rod Munch Says:

I want the Falcons to win, just to be clear… but when the Falcons miss this kick, I’m going to laugh so hard…

  53. Rod Munch Says:

    OMG

BRAVES WIN WS, FALCONS DONT BLOW A 4TH QUARTER LEAD

    WHATS THIS WORLD COMING TOO!?!?

  54. Jbeachbuc Says:

    Yeah… I knew they’d pull it out… lol

  55. Casual Observer Says:

The Falcons tried hard but just couldn’t quite blow that big lead.

  56. 163Doubleplay Says:

And the cowgirls lost and Packers might lose without Rodgers. Lets go Bucs!!!

  57. Coburn Says:

Thoguht for sure when they let it tick down so low they’d have a bad snap lol

  58. Youngbucs Says:

    F the aints!!!!!!!

  59. Rod Munch Says:

Dallas also is about to lose, the Cardinals are without Murry and Hopkins, playing in San Fran where they always lose.

    Good day for the Bucs.

  60. JGhotier Says:

A few people’s comments about the outcome and such didn’t age too well here!

That’s why you don’t just blurt stuff out

  61. Jbeachbuc Says:

….and the Jags win their second?!? Against Buffalo?

  62. Bird Says:

Siemaien completed 60% of passes. Threw for 250 yards. 2 tds and 0 picks
Payton trusts him. They can win cause of him 😂

My 7 years old nephew can put up good Numbers with payton calling the shots

  63. Francisco Guzman Says:

Rod Much need KC to beat the packers. Vegas lost so it’s a big game for them in the division.

  64. Bird Says:

The Eli curse 😂. Bills lose

  65. Rod Munch Says:

Can the Chiefs, who the Bucs broke in the SB, beat a backup QB? Hope not. If we get the 49ers and Chiefs winning, it’s a sweep for the Bucs. Well, except for the Rams, but they got a tough team in the Titans.

  66. Defense Rules Says:

That was one of the most incredible 4th quarters that I’ve seen in a long, long time. Man am I glad that the Birds pulled that one out.

  67. Francisco Guzman Says:

Rod Munch need KC win as well.

  68. Francisco Guzman Says:

Why you say hope not? We should be rooting for the chiefs today.

    Such a smart Fancy Man.
    Anywho Rod…… you’re an idiot.
    😀

  70. Rod Munch Says:

Guzman – my bad, I meant I hope the Bucs didn’t break the Chiefs so bad that they can’t beat a backup QB.

  71. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Chris Myers told me so.

  72. Rod Munch Says:

Dooodooscoohe … Was that the Chris Meyers game?

  73. Rod Munch Says:

    Called it!

  74. DoooshLaRue Says:

    You so reetarded Rod

Jax beats Buffalo…. shocker ! most shocking… Falcons held on their lead …. hahahahahahaha

  78. Rod Munch Says:

Remember 1 week and 3 hours ago when the Bengals were the top seed in the AFC.

  79. ClodHopper Says:

Hoo doggy. That was a fun finish.

  80. Rod Munch Says:

Bucs now #3 in the NFC as of this moment.
    Saints #6, Falcons #7…

Who said the NFC South was going to be the cupcake division?

  81. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

    Yea, Jacksonville beat Buffalo !
Patterson of Atlanta owned the Saints today! Did anyone see the look on Sean Peyton’s face when he realized he was gonna lose!
    That was Priceless 🙂
    Bucs stay in first!

  82. 163Doubleplay Says:

I hope the Bucs watched that game and learn not to collapse in the 4th quarter.

  83. firethecannons Says:

Amazing! The Falcons almost choked it away! The Falcons are exorcising their demons; just like the Bucs did with their kicking situation. Good win for them! Fun to watch the saints lose after a near comeback.

  84. Rod Munch Says:

I called for the Bucs to sign Patterson this offseason to be our return guy, and a backup RB/WR, he’d have filled a bunch of spots. All the Bucs could offer was vet min, so I doubt he’d even take the Bucs call, but I never understand why he’s bounced around so much all career when he’s a good player and does a lot of things.

  85. Rod Munch Says:

Stupid Vikings got a TO in OT, and still ended up punting. Dopes.

  86. Sean Says:

Great job, Atlanta. You help the Bucs and Matty Ice (an absurd nickname if ever there was one) makes the Falcons just good enough to where they can’t draft his replacement. They’ll have a middling 1st round draft pick in a weak QB class.

  87. Im not tired anymore we Super Bowl Champs!! Says:

Refs called the Bucs/Saints game. Simple as that. Go Bucs!

    you guys forget that the problem is us, not the other teams….Saint beat us, Rams beat us, Cowboys beat us(almost);
We are not going to get any better as long as DC Tooood is our coordinator.
We have good players, and OK players on D, but we never going to be decent D until Tooood is fired(by the way nice guy), and that is not going to happen with TV🤡 as HC.
So no matter what other teams do, we are the same.

  89. Rod Munch Says:

    crazyBucs_CL Says:
We are not going to get any better

    —————

Get better? We’re the defending Super Bowl Champs you nerd.

Also, while I enjoy bashing Bowles when he plays passive, he’s having to put complete trash on the field at corner. If you don’t think starting your #8 corner is a big deal, you’re a dope that doesn’t know football.

Wait until we have some NFL caliber corners back in the game before calling for him to be fired.

Or better yet, email Dooodooooschoeee and you two can setup a Chris Meyers video cassette tape ring.

  90. Youngbucs Says:

    Crazybucs you’re boring seriously

  91. Rod Munch Says:

Alright, the Vikings lose on a FG, the world is back in its proper alignment.

  92. Hodad Says:

I called it 24 17 wasn’t to far off. Saints had the super bowl hangover, that’s what I call it when you beat the Bucs the week before. The Rams had the same problem.

  93. rrsrq Says:

Urban Myer with the signature win, Jag 9 v. Bills 6. Gonna be a party tonight.

  94. rrsrq Says:

Cards not playing Murray or Hopkins, A-aron not playing for the Packers, Boys lost, Rams will likely win, we just need to take care of business the rest of the year

  95. DoooshLaRue Says:

I couldn’t help but notice that Jake from State Farm isn’t hanging out with Aaron Rogers at all today….. just Mahomes.

    What a shocker.

  96. SufferingSince76 Says:

Saints were 5-2 prior to this loss. Just sayin’.

  97. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

What a great bye week. Falcons beat ‘Aints, Broncos kick the Cowboys’ asses, Chiefs are gonna beat the Packers and my money is on the Niners to beat the Cardinals.

“I couldn’t help but notice that Jake from State Farm isn’t hanging out with Aaron Rogers at all today….. just Mahomes..”

Aaron is bad boy, all major sports media outlets are condemning him for being the only one NOT va$$inated, among ALL va$$inated… so who is in danger here ???!!!

  99. Rod Munch Says:

Doodoodoosche… it’s not even the real Jake, the real Jake was cancelled because the ladies husband though he sounded hideous.

Seriously, the original fat white Jake, was canceled because of that, it was seen as transphobic since it was implied that women shouldn’t have voices that sound like men, because anyone can be a woman! Even you!

  100. DoooshLaRue Says:

The original Jake wasn’t really fat, pudgy maybe.
You’re thinking of the husband…… which is normal for a guy who uses the word Anywho.

Sucks that the Falcons lost today.

  101. Rod Munch Says:

Oh… defending the pudgster… must be your type.

    The more we know.

  102. Swampbuc Says:

It’s been said — no one blows a lead in the 4th quarter more expertly than the Fowlcans. But Patterson is a stud and that throw by Ryan was other worldly good. Loved the look on Payton’s face.

    Go Chefs! Go Niners!

  103. mark2001 Says:

The guy I think looks justified though all this is Mike McCarthy. He dealt with AR headcase for a long time, took alot of grief, dealing with a QB that thought he was bigger than the team ..the coaches… the organization. He helped get him MM canned. Not saying that McCarthy is any Tom Landry, but after kissing the prima donna’s backside for years, he can finally breath again. Thank Goodness we have the Goat…an ego, and well deserved. But a team player. And the ultimate winner.

  104. Upstate NY BUC Says:

Feel a lot more comfortable rolling into DC leading our division. My son and I will be traveling down next weekend…Tampa side sec 123, go Bucs.

  105. Jbeachbuc Says:

Yes the original “Jake” commercial was a classic! Woke mob definitely took it down.

  106. Listnfrmafar Says:

Sorry to say I agree about Bowles. Defense Rules pointed that out in a previous post. He gave us all the individual and team stats on blitzes. Turns out the blitzes are killing the Bucs and opening up the short passes. Bowles goes team gets better.

  107. Listnfrmafar Says:

Andy Reid just pulled a Buco Bruce & BL, 4 & 1 own 40 screen bang loss of 4 yards GB ball.

  108. Rod Munch Says:

Listnfrmafar – You think playing passive defense, with complete garbage at corner, is going to make the team better? LOL! You blitz because your garbage corners can’t cover at all, so you want the QB throwing the ball as quickly as possible.

When our Davis and SMB are back, the team will mix it up more because, hopefully, they’ll be able to cover a bit better.

In any case I’d much rather die in a blaze of glory, and give the ball back to Brady, then sit back in a passive defense as teams move the ball at will, but also chew the clock and take the ball out Brady’s hands.

  109. Jmarkbuc Says:

Interesting to watch the Packers playing pretty darn good Defense… and wondering if we ever will.

  110. crazyBucs_CL Says:

    @Jmarkbuc Says:
“Interesting to watch the Packers playing pretty darn good Defense… and wondering if we ever will.”
    ————————–
    NEVER with DC Tooood.

  111. steele Says:

What a great win that the Bucs didn’t lift a finger to get. Completely undoes all of the sports mediot noise from last week about the “greatness” of Siemian, Payton and the Saints. There’s still time left today for all of the NFC teams to go down, clean sweep. A great Sunday!

  112. Rod Munch Says:

Jmarkbuc – I don’t know if the Packers are playing good defense, or if Mahomes took some of whatever Josh Freeman started taking.

Now, to be clear, I don’t believe this is the case, but imagine if the Super Bowl broke Mahomes and he just fell apart, his careering going into a nosedive. From the new GOAT, to trying to figure out how cut him without destroying their cap for 5 years. That would be something.

  113. alton d green Says:

just a little reminder. Superbowl 51. The Falcons were ahead 28-3 with about 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Ryan was their QB then also. They started passing the ball and taking sacks. The majority of announcers say the same thing. NEVER EVER give up on Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. I thought for sure the birds were going to choke again

  114. Mike C Says:

3 Tds in 7 min is impressive no matter how you slice it.

  115. Bird Says:

    Jordan love is “que terrible”

  116. mark2001 Says:

Wonder if John Lynch will survive the 49er’s debacle this year. Wouldn’t that be ironic and sad for him if by not going after Brady was the major mistake of his tenure…and the advantage of that decision all played into our hands.

  117. David Says:

Saints lose. Cowboys lose. Green Bay losing.
Rooting for the Titans to take down the Rams tonight.

The Buccaneers are having a decent bye week!!

  118. David Says:

    Munch…

To me it seems like the Buccaneers put out the blueprint and teams are following suit. A safety over top of Hill, try to sandwich Kelce , get after yet contain Mahomes.
I think it’s a lot of that and a little bit of – KC thought they addressed their
O line and it sure doesn’t seem like they did

  119. mark2001 Says:

Interesting point Rod… I do think the Bucs trouncing in the SB really changed the psyche of the guy and the teams playing him. It reminds me of what I used to say about Brett Favre, in the fact that he is going to make one horrible play for every two great plays. And if you can make him pay for the one with a turnover and such, he is definitely beatable.

  120. Wild Bill Says:

Well the ball takes some funny bounces. I was elated to see the Falcons beating the Saints. Oh no! The Falcons just gave the game away. Oh no! I can’t believe the Saints gave up a long bomb completion with seconds on the clock! Saints lose!!! Saints lose! God bless the Falcons! Now which Bucs team shows up next week?? The team that played like sh.t last week? Or the team that won it all last year. Even Brady sucked last week. The Falcons handed the Bucs a huge break. What will they do with it?

  121. David Says:

A lot of bashing of the CBs out here. Name me a team that can lose their top 5 cornerbacks and do well.
Granted they did not start the season well but they’ve been getting better and better and will be better when Davis and SMB are back, plus the depth will benefit them.
Although many here don’t agree, Davis is a damn good CB.
And even though they are number 3-5 in the CB hierarchy, Dean and Delaney have been pretty damn good for the most part.

Then there is the fact that they are missing L David in the short to medium coverage, which is a big factor. I believe that has caused D White to have to play differently.
I sincerely believe they go on a run and start playing better and better as the season goes and they get healthy.

  122. David Says:

    Watching Jordan love playing…
    1. AARon has leverage.
    2. I don’t like Rogers but no wonder he was mad about them picking Love
    3. I thought Love was sitting around learning for 2 years… Doesn’t look like he has learned much.

    4. If John Lynch feels like his job is in jeopardy, I see Garoppolo traded and San Fran making a big push for A-Aron

  123. Crunchbuc Says:

The Aints are who we thought they were…

  124. mark2001 Says:

David.. John may go after AR…but I think the difference between AR and Brady is night and day. The question is, do you have an organization that will kiss his backside and let him override GM, and HC decisions. Sure… Brady has alot of influence. But I don’t think he would ever hang the team out to dry in so many ways, like AR would.

  125. JimmyJack Says:

Seems like a lot of Bucs fans take how good we are for granted a bit. Look how mad fans got because Brooks picked the Saints? Before the Dallas game fans were acting like we would win by 3 TDs……These are good teams, you gotta be realistic. Alls it takes is not being perfect and a few mistakes take away all your advantage.

NFL games are tough, just look around the league. Upsets every week. Or you get teams like Minnesota or the Giants playing you down to thd wire.

Even Tom Brady in New England took losses against inferior teams. I seem to remember them struggling with Miami very often.

So put the loss in perspective. That will likely be the Saints biggest win of the year. For the Bucs, we havent even been in a big pressure game yet. Those come towards the end of the year when wins and losses change everything………It was a very bitter loss, because of who it was against…….For an old Bucs team a loss like that would sink yourr whole season. We would spiral downwards(exactly what Dirks team did in 2016). This team has much bigger fish to fry……Our real test will come in December/January.

    GO BUCS!!!!

  126. Defense Rules Says:

Listnfrmafar … ‘Bowles goes team gets better.’

That shouldn’t have been the takeaway from anything I wrote. Bowles has been faced with an impossible situation (Secondary decimated this year, LVD missed a couple games, as did JPP who’s now playing injured) but he’s STILL got the defense as a whole performing about as well as it did last year with minimal injuries.

Todd obviously believes in generating pressure via blitzes. Bucs have been very consistent in his 3 years as our DC. Our blitz percentage was 43.4% in 2019, with a pressure % of 23.4% (effectiveness). In 2020 our blitz percentage was 39.0%, with a pressure % of 27.5%. And this year our blitz percentage has been 39.7% (leading the league), with a pressure % of 24.4% thus far. Fairly consistent IMO, and the players have pretty much been the same for all 3 years, although we have been blitzing a little less in 2020 & 2021 since adding restructuring our Secondary after the 2019 season.

The problem IMO Listnfrmafar is that our ILBs have been blitzing a ton but haven’t really been all that effective at it. For instance, Devin White has more blitzes this year (63) than ANY player in the NFL; next closest is the Cowboys’ Micah Parsons with 46 blitzes. Heck even Shaq only has 41 blitzes. And White has almost nothing to show for it (zero sacks , 13 total pressures … giving him the #44 ranking in the NFL presently). That’s a poor return on investment. And worse than that, it’s leaving the middle of the field vulnerable to the quick, short passes, which have eating us alive at times.

BTW, Devin wasn’t very effective at blitzing last season either. He blitzed a total of 91 times (ranking #10 in the NFL), but only generated 20 total pressures (ranking #70 in the NFL). To his credit, those 20 pressures did include 9 sacks, but they were very inconsistent over the season (he got 3 sacks against the Raiders in Game 7, and 3 sacks against the Falcons in Game 14). Personally I’d rather see him be used more in coverage with less blitzing.

  127. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

I’m watching the Packers/Chiefs game and they just showed Buck and Aikman. I think Troy is clearing 5 foot bongs when they’re on commercial break. Damn, his eyes are red!

  128. JimmyJack Says:

And everybody acting like Sean Payton is some superior HC. Stuff that nonsense up your rear……..Ive been watching the Saints gag away opportunities to get to SuperBowls for what feels like over a decade now.

I guarantee you good HCs around the league feel like Payton should have won more then one SB with the roster he had and a HOF Quarterback.

How about we win a second ring in a row and show em how its done?……Sure ya wanna say Payton had his team better prepared last week, and last year in the regual season…….Your right……The guy is a good, probably great HC Ill give you that.

But when it really freaking mattered and they had their home field advantge who tell me who was better coached? Yes sir I will take the playoff win over the Haloween Game any day.

And dont expect a reapeat when we face them again. The way I see it our coaches have built up this OL and we take away what they have done to us in the past with pressuring our QB. That song and dance is done with. Our teams got them figured.

They wanna beat us they better play error free and they they gonna need Brady to screw up some more plays and they probably gonna need another 100 yards in pentalties again……….That game might just be for the division and I dont think your gonna see Brady leading a sloppy football team in a big game. Shame on you if ya think thats how its gonna go down.

The retirement of Brees is starting to effect the Saints finally

  130. mark2001 Says:

I think Aikman is a poster child for the head injuries that QB’s suffered before the rule changes.

  131. 74 Bucs Fan Says:

Great weekend for the Bucs! Go Titans.

  132. adam from ny Says:

    they’re all freakin’ losing joe…all of ’em…

    saints
    cowboys
    panthers
    packers

just not the cardinals…those freakin’ cards………wtf

and those punk azz rams play in an hour…

so far not a bad day for a bunch of drunken pirates!

  133. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Mark2001,

Yeah, I think you’re right. He’s not a bad guy but he’s slipping and increasingly annoying.

Joe Buck on the other hand is a pompous prick.

  134. JimmyJack Says:

Defense Rules. I might say you are putting too much emphasis on blitz percentage and I think you should look a little more at Redzone%……..and Im not even sure those numbers really mean too much if they are counting Shaq as a blitzer. Hes really an Edge rusher, which i know thats different then DE.

But you are right its causing us to give us a lot of short yardage plays………but I think you kinda play into Bowles hands(ideally) when you do that……….Redzone defense being a big reason why because when we are playing well we are very stingy in the Redzone, like last year……..take that Dallas game for example, if we come up with redzone stops thats a much different game.

Your also playing into Bowles hands because when you start trying to hit us short, short, short hes been really good at finding coverages to make you pay with a game changing pick……….Look at the Rams game for example. Todd calls a brillant coverage to change the game late in the 2nd half….. getting Winfield with a pick in his hands…..Winfield doesnt make the play, however and we give up a TD instead……We see Cockrell drop another of those 2 weeks ago.

Another key factor that benefits Bowles is our run defense……..If teams wanna run everything short we are gonna see a fair share of 3rd/4th and 1’s. We are going to stuff a lot of those and force punts/downs with our run D……..Just like we saw from the Saints on 4th and 1.

I think it is the secondary thats hurting us in the redzone& hurting us creating turnovers. I dont know the stats but it looks obvisous we are struggling much more in both areas compared to last year. Im betting we start to improve as our health improves.

  135. JimmyJack Says:

Dang and sorry yall. Im off the rails with these novel long posts.

I shoulda just said GO BUUUUUCSS BABYYY!!!!!!

  136. Francisco Guzman Says:

Arizona or the rams will likely be the top seed . Cardinals schedule doesn’t look tough. I feel this team can go into arizona and win a game. Rams idk. They would have to play very well in all facets of the game.

  137. BuccaneerButters Says:

    Best bye week ever!

  138. Doctor Stroud Says:

After last week’s game against the Bucs, a lot of people were awarding the Lombardi trophy to the Saints, Sean Payton as Coach of the Year, and Sean’s Payton’s pursed lips as MVP. So glad that this talk is on hold for at least one week.

  139. NeverGIVEup Says:

UMMMMMMMMM, Cardinals are peaking to early!!!

  140. NeverGIVEup Says:

Cant wait to have All Day AP in a Bucs Uniform next year for the 3 Peat…

  141. Anonymous Says:

First time in a loooong time, I’m luvin being a Bucs Fan!!

  142. mark2001 Says:

If I had to go to Arizona in the playoffs or to Lambeau at 10 degrees or lower, as can sometimes happen in December, I’d rather go to Arizona.

  143. adam from ny Says:

zona ain’t sh!t…they’re that type of team that cruises thru the reg season, then is knocked off by a hot wild card team that fought like dogs late in the season to get in…happens all the time…

not worried about the cards, or us visiting arizona in the playoffs for a big game…

saints will take another loss next week in tennessee, so we good…they’re already slippin’

rams are one to worry about…

not sweating the saints and cards…

the azz-packers and the rams are ones to be concerned about…

packers did hold the chiefs offense in check today too

  144. NeverGIVEup Says:

Chiefs are exposed but they scare me ONLY cause Andy Reid. Than again Andy is a choke artist.

Rams are gonna HATE when they get a D that exposes them, ALA Bowls in the SUPER “Bowl”.

Honestly, the only AFC team that has a chances is DAAAAAAh Raiders.

NFC has to hope Rogers Dosent cHOKE.

    Bucs Raiders SUPER BOWL 2021

  145. BucLife Says:

    😊

  146. Mike Johnson Says:

Bucs better come back strong after the bye. There is no excuse for us to have been whipped by the Saints….and by a backup. Its almost unforgiveable. Fix the defense and get it humming. If not. we are in for a long 2nd half. Get your heads out of your buts. Last year is over. You are gonna have to really earn that 2nd ring.

  147. NeverGIVEup Says:

YES, gonna have to serious EARN number two… RIGHT Lightning and Rays???

  148. BucLife Says:

Just stopped by to hear the pulse of REAL BUCS FANS and wow we got gifted with crucial losses and last week was an example of any team can lose on Sunday no matter what their record is ( can’t believe the 49ers couldn’t beat a Kyler and a Deandre depleted team ) oh lastly and most importantly RodMuncher and this medicated Peter quacks obviously have no lives, never played sports, still live at home at 40, single, need to attend AA, and still waiting on their stimulus check just come on this site to rile people up, but thankfully no one takes these two serious ( which Joe probably loves the clicks ) to give their 2 MORONIC cents and don’t care that 99 percent of others probably think the same. See you all next week and GO BUCS !!!!!

  149. NeverGIVEup Says:

    RAMS are getting EXPOSED

  150. gp Says:

    And just like that!
    Titans are up 14-3!

  151. Rayjay1122 Says:

Lots of underdogs won today. Working out well for the Bucs……..and the Casinos.

  152. NeverGIVEup Says:

We need a Rams…. I mean TITANs Open Thread Joey’s

  153. NeverGIVEup Says:

Yes the Sharks are SWARMing @Rayjay1122

  154. NeverGIVEup Says:

AP is about to take over this game…

Praying he is a BUC next year with TB12… Both of them signing off in the same year on the same team would be EPIC…

AND it would be amazing to have it happen here in the REAL Bay area… TAMPA!!!!!!!!!!!!

  155. David Says:

    Mark2001

Absolutely correct. I think Aaron Rodgers is an entitled diva that, according to previous coaches and players, has always blamed anything and anyone but himself throughout his entire career.
So I do think the Niners, John Lynch, will go after Rodgers in the off-season and let Trey Lance sit another year or two.
I agree though, I don’t think it helps them. Just somewhere else to be a great athletic quarterback and go to the playoffs and then lose.

  156. DoooshLaRue Says:

    NeverGiveUp,

How about Bucs vs Patriots in the SB?

  157. David Says:

So the Bucs have the tiebreaker over the Cowboys but the Rams and Packers currently have a tiebreaker over them. Rams because of head-to-head and Packers because less conference losses. Although, if Rodgers gets suspended a game or two, which he should for violating the rules and lying about it, they could surpass them.

As good as Arizona looks, the Rams are still the team that scares me in the playoffs

  158. 163Doubleplay Says:

Good day for the Bucs. Back on top of their division while they are on vacation. Plus a Cowboys and Packer’s’ lost puts us in a much better position in the NFC.

  159. NeverGIVEup Says:

    Rogers NEVER LIED!!!! WTFE

    The MEDIA reported FALSELY.

BTW, F-Rogers. Cant stand him but he never lied. THE MEDIA did

  160. David Says:

All these good teams going down… Can we mention the Bungles?
    ?!?!?!?!

They win at Pittsburgh, take the Packers to overtime, go into Baltimore and win, take control of the division…
Then lose to the Jets and get destroyed by Cleveland today. WTH

I like Burrows (and I am sick of Pitt, Baltimore and the Mayfield hype) so I was rooting for the Bengals to take over that division and in 2 weeks they may have just thrown it all away.

  161. David Says:

Never give up… I didn’t hear that. I just heard that he violated mask rules all the time and claimed to be “immunized”, basically playing semantics to get around answering of he got the vaccine. If he didn’t lie, he didn’t lie, so be it.

And no, I don’t care if someone’s vaccinated or not. I just don’t like him and think he’s an entitled ass. Whatever the punishment is for not following the NFL rules is what should be given.

  162. NeverGIVEup Says:

    Bingals…. SIGH….. tear

  163. David Says:

    Daaaaamnnnnn. Go Titans

  164. NeverGIVEup Says:

    I accept your terms David…

The Packers need to burn at the stake REGARDLESS. LOL

  165. Francisco Guzman Says:

Defense still wins championships. Bucs defense has to get better. That was an embarrassing performance against the saints.

  166. NeverGIVEup Says:

DEFENCE was not as embarrassing as the stupid penalties

What was MORE embarrassing was are “toughest opponent” left on the schedule getting beat by the Jags.

    AHHHH What?

  167. NeverGIVEup Says:

    RAMs are getting EMBARRASED

  168. 163Doubleplay Says:

I hope the Bucs are still feeling the pain of their lost last week. I don’t want them to be complacent. I want them to have that burning desire to annihilate anybody in front of them. GO BUCS !!!

  169. JimmyJack Says:

Fransico. I must guess you are a new era Bucs fan if you think thats embarassing. Ugly, yes…….Emarassing? Not even close………I say that as somebody who has worn a Bucs jersey with a brown paper bag over my head for Halloween(not to a game though). If you are embarrsed by this team I say your spoiled, but thats cool.

  170. David Says:

    I agree, penalties killed them,
    turnovers killed them,
fix those things and the defense wasn’t half bad.

Regardless, the secondary should be getting healthier and healthier and have a lot of depth soon.
LVD will be back as well.

I have total faith in the defense. Heck, I have faith in the whole team getting better and better I predict they go 8-1 down the stretch

  171. BigMacAttack Says:

Nice to see the Ain’ts get flagged for everything the crooked refs let them get away with last week I

  172. BigMacAttack Says:

Knew it would catch up with them. The refs gave them the game last week after Winston injury.

  173. Francisco Guzman Says:

Saints play the titans next week as well. Ouch .

  174. NeverGIVEup Says:

Showing this Dison catch reminds me or Bert…

    Sigh, talking about refs?

    Gerrrr

  175. Tye Says:

What an entertaining day of football!
Can’t remember ever seeing so many upsets in one day…
The Bucs on a bye week still get a win in the standings!

  176. Tye Says:

The next 4 games of the Saints:
    Titans; Eagles; Bills; Cowboys

  177. Winny Testaverde Says:

I don’t expect the Titans to hold onto this lead…but I sure enjoyed watching the Saints snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The Dallas no show and start of the Jordan Love Era we’re enjoyable as well.

  178. bucschamps Says:

the key to beating Saints is not commit silly penalties and 99 yards. how hard is that?

  179. firethecannons Says:

The rams are getting ass kicked, just watched Stafford nearly throw another pick and walk away limping–I just love this! Awesome bye week of football!

  180. BucsFan81 Says:

I will tell you what watching the Titans makes me wish our defense could tackle like them.

  181. Buc1987 Says:

Yep every team we needed to lose…lost!

  182. firethecannons Says:

Rams beatin Rams 115 yds penalties loving this football all day long Saints beat Dallas beat Bengals beat Rams beat Green Bay beat awesome stuff

  183. Francisco Guzman Says:

A good day for the bucs. Bucs need to take care of business in the second half. Can’t overlook anybody and the pass defense has to get better along with the pass rush.

  184. firethecannons Says:

    oh and Bills beat too

  185. Listnfrmafar Says:

Rams, GB, Saints, Carolina, Dallas, Bill’s all SHAT themselves. I guess it happens to everyone. Bucs loss doesn’t seem so bad afterLl, it wasn’t the Jaguars. How about a Bucs, Patriots SB?

  186. Ohta Says:

This game just further reaffirms that the bucs have a poor coaching staff. They when most of their games through sheer talent, but they mostly look disorganized and poorly coached even when they are winning.

Byron Leftwhich is honestly a horrible OC (nothing like watching the bucs yeet the ball downfield on 4th down when they only need 2 yards)and Todd blitzes too much and does little to adjust to compensate for how bad the secondary is.

  187. Listnfrmafar Says:

    Agreed 100%

  188. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Saints are no longer a division contender. They lost their starting QB and the guy who he was in competition with. They are using a 3rd string backup. They are done for the year.

Panthers will be our biggest competition in the division now.
