Bucs Hopeful Rob Gronkowski Will Play Monday

November 17th, 2021

The Buccaneers offense sure could use a jolt and it could be on the way.

Bucco Bruce Arians was very upbeat about a major upgrade coming soon to the Bucs’ tight end position.

Speaking on SiriusXM NFL Radio tonight, Arians said his Hall of Fame tight end, Rob Gronkowski, looks healthy.

“Gronk looks like he’s going to be ready to roll,” Arians said.

Gronk played six snaps against New Orleans on Halloween and injured his back while attempting to block — after he looked mortal trying to catch an end zone throw that appeared catchable but was incomplete.

Previously, Arians had said he would wait for Gronk to be 100 percent before putting him back on the field. Hopefully, Gronk has hit that mark, and it’s not just the Bucs desperate to snap their losing streak.

Didn’t realize what a weapon that guy is until u need him. Pete forgets he’s the best TE ever

Gronk just gives us endless options at the Los. On any given down he is an extra tackle or an extra receiver and damn good at both. I’m more than disappointed in O.J. Howard. The dude is a total bust. Hope Gronk is 100%.

Gronk has some USAA memberships to pitch on MNF. He’ll play.

Gronk and AB are Hall of Famers….

    Not replaceable.

We have proven to be mere mortals without them on the field.

We make mistakes with them playing, we can recover because those 2 guys are bad mammer jammers…

We continue to mistakes without them…we lose…

    In BA I Trust!

  5. ModHairKen Says:

He’s not a quitter. But please make sure he’s healthy.

His backup, OJ, set the tone of dog crap Sunday against the Skins.

  6. Lesko_Brandon Says:

I thought we are deep in the TE position… looks like we only have 1 real TE and that is Gronk. I think the same is true in our WR’s…. AB is the #1

    @ Lesko_Brandon

That’s why TB12 wanted them so badly. He’s been to 10 Superbowls for God’s Sake & knows what a Superbowl roster looks like. AB is an explosive, precise route-runner

I’ve said on multiple threads that OJ is a bust. He cares more about his physique n looks than playing the game. I still can’t get over his passive move against the Saints when Fournette fumbled in the end zone n OJ pretended as if he was trying to get the ball. He did a Cam Newton Super Bowl move. OJ is just a big dud. Some folks keep wishing on a lie, he’s not who we thought he should be.

  10. SOEbuc Says:

Only if he’s healthy. Brady can’t just throw him in cus we been slacking.

  11. captivajim Says:

    Gronk must be 100 + % healthy..
where’s all this depth we have @ te??
OJ should be traded for any te who can catch a football……

  12. Bucschamp Says:

I think Tom plays better just knowing gronk is in there. He is the “relax, we got this“ guy.

  13. firethecannons Says:

about f-ing time this guy comes back same goes for AB both of them should be ready to go on Monday! ridiculous!

  14. steele Says:

Gronk needs to be preserved as much as possible. All of the geriatrics, JPP, AB, etc. and also TB. I thought Brate and OJ were perfectly fine until recently, especially Brate. If there is a communication problem, TB needs to fix it.

  15. Buczilla Says:

    Hell yes!

  16. Bucsfanman Says:

I think what Gronk brings to the offense, and what has been sorely missing, is ENERGY. In addition to being a good blocker and receiver, he’s the sparkplug on that side of the ball.
It’ll be nice to have him back.

  17. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

    Hold him out another week.

Obviously you have never had a broken rib before….. Much less 4 broken ribs and a punctured lung.

Its only been 7 1/2 weeks since that happened – so if Gronk is anywhere near 100% recovered from that injury now – then he’s healing well.
