Buccaneers 30, Giants 10

November 22nd, 2021

Order has been restored to the Bucs kingdom.

At 7-3 after a blowout victory, the Bucs have a two-game lead in the soft NFC South and are in great position in the race for the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC playoffs.

Joe was so impressed by tonight’s complete performance.

Cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting returned to the starting lineup and it was immediately evident how much he was missed. No more nonsense and ridiculously soft play at the position. He even led the team with seven solo tackles.

No Vita Vea? No problem.

The offense came out humming and Bucco Bruce Arians called off the dogs and turned to Blaine Gabbert with nearly 7 minutes remaining in the game.

What a difference Rob Gronkowski’s presence made and Chris Godwin caught all six balls thrown his way — for 65 yards and a touchdown. It felt like Tom Brady could have thrown it to him all night without a problem.

Brady was methodical, confident and he even busted out a fantastic deep ball that Breshad Perriman failed to squeeze.

This was the Bucs team that was absent the last two games. Now, it seems, school is back in session. As for the Bucs’ 5-0 record, Joe is confident that’s no coincidence, and it bodes well for big home games remaining against the Bills and Saints.

Good win, build on this and get healthy, got some good teams coming up.

  2. Doctor Stroud Says:

Bucs win! All is right in the world…until the Bucs lose.

  3. Rod Munch Says:

Gronk being back was huge, even more so than I expected. But with Brate losing a step, and OJ apparently never returning to form, Gronk made the offense look so much better, even if it was out of sync.

Still, the defense only gave up 3 points, that’s huge, because unlike the Dilfer Bucs, if you tell Tom Brady he only needs to score 4 points, you’re going to win most of the time.

  4. JimmyJack Says:

Look out NFL the Bucs are getting healthy now.

I loved the way our defense stepped up! SMB made a massive difference.

Our guys played great and this win is exactly what we needed. Next week is going to be one hell of a game if we play like we did tonight.

I was wrong about the D. They showed up. Not perfect, but much improved.

But you should thank me – if I ever turn fanboy deluxe, we are effed.

  23. Oxycodoms Says:

Despite the hot start to this season its not inconceivable bucs lose next 2 of 3 games basically would have same record after last years slow start but trending down instead of up

No doubt! we needed this game, I was really a mess over this–thought we would lose to the Giants. Wow impressed with all sides of the ball including special teams–no screw ups and Ryan Succop made all the kicks!

  25. Cobraboy Says:

When one corner presses, the off corner gets eaten alive.

When both corners press, then you can play tougher D.

    The Bucs showed that tonite.

Here is the honest truth about swamp buc

    He focuses on frog dong

A slunk once told him he was not worth it
His first date was actually a guy named

I’ve disagreed with almost everything you have posted but I’ll give you credit for coming back and taking the heat.
    Go Bucs!!!

I was surprised Murphy-Bunting played so well his first game back. Hopefully he can keep it up. There is a huge test next week in Indianapolis. Looks like they have a legitimate run game and a decent defense. We will have to play our best to win. It’s great to have Gronk back. You could almost feel the offenses confidence grow after Gronk made his first couple catches. I still can’t get over going into a game feeling confident we would win. It wasn’t that long ago (pre Brady) that you hoped the Bucs could somehow win but weren’t sure which Jameis would show up. Take it all in everyone it won’t be like this forever.

  31. G Fit Says:

Hell with the long pass , seem him do that 100’s of times….he looked like cam newton on that 11 yard jaunt! Go TB12 .

  32. Swampbuc Says:

The opening drive was an absolute masterpiece. Tendency breakers all over the place, two end arounds, play action to open. Props to Leftwich. Let’s hope he can be creative and effective against the Colts on Sunday.
