Antonio Brown May Have Broken Federal Law

November 18th, 2021

Will the feds intervene?

Is Bucs furniture-tossing, bicycle-throwing receiver Antonio Brown in hot water now with the feds?

In an article published tonight by uber NFL Insider Adam Schefter of BSPN, he notes that Brown may be in violation of federal law(s) for allegedly purchasing and being in possession of a fake V-card. Schefter’s take was gleaned from information shared by NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy.

If in fact Brown had bought and possessed a fake V-card, which has yet to be proven.

Brown’s lawyer, per Schefter and the Tampa Bay Times, claims his client has been vaccinated. The Bucs claim they verified his V-card. So assuming the Bucs and Brown’s legal counsel are not conning people, what’s going on here?

To add intrigue to this drama, Brown’s model girlfriend Cydney Moreau claims she has no idea who the source of the story is. Brown’s (former?) personal chef Steven Ruiz blew the whistle on Brown to the Times and apparently offered up a screenshot of a text conversation between him and Moreau, one in which where Moreau was trying to buy a fake V-card ostensibly for Brown for $500.

Joe’s first thought was you can find one cheaper on Amazon.

Now, Moreau tells the Times she has no idea who this Ruiz is. Joe thinks it is safe to assume someone at the Times was savvy enough to verify the phone number associated with the text exchange that Ruiz claims was with Moreau.

Further, NFL insider Josina Anderson claims her source inside the walls of One Buc Palace believes this is just a shakedown of Brown by Ruiz. The Times reported Brown owes Ruiz $10,000.

According to Steven Fine, a defense attorney in Chicago, below are the federal penalties for using a fake V-card:

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said that creating or purchasing a fake vaccine card is a federal crime, which carries a maximum prison sentence of five years and/or a fine not exceeding $5,000. Yet, there are various federal crimes associated with using fake cards.

Other common types of federal crimes involving using fake COVID-19 vaccination cards include:

* Wrongfully using or misrepresenting a government seal, punishable by imprisonment for five years and/a fine of up to $5,000.

* Wire fraud, which carries a prison term of up to 20 years.

* Embezzlement and theft of public records, punishable by imprisonment for up to ten years.

How is your Thursday evening going?

What does it matter? The vax has been proven, ADMITTED too and Known as a bad DRUG.

Not just that. ITS NOT MANDITORY and even more so IS NOT LAW. Its a RECOMENDATION.

  2. WalkdaPlank Says:

So much for “end of story”

  3. mark2001 Says:

He is either a guy with integrity, that did what his lawyer said he did, or he is even worse than AR. And if that hurts the Bucs, so be it. There has to be some line for personal integrity somewhere, doesn’t there? And if personal integrity doesn’t matter to us on every issue, might as well forget it. It is all going to hell anyway.

  4. Rod Munch Says:

    Papers, please.

  5. Francisco Guzman Says:

Just stop with this BS! A lot of players are likely not vaccinated. Rodgers didn’t get suspended for lying so brown shouldn’t either.

  6. Bucschamp Says:

    Pop

  7. Francisco Guzman Says:

Mark2001 the heck you talking about? What Rodgers did was ridiculous and he didn’t get suspended.

  8. Francisco Guzman Says:

This team doesn’t need distractions right now. Hopefully it’s nothing.

  9. Bucdan Says:

    Lol at papers please.

Like you’re not already providing proof of vaccination paperwork for your kids to go to public school (and most private schools) here in the good ol’ USA.

Don’t like the vaccine? No problem. Though to make those types of comparisons is a bit outlandish.

  10. Bucschamp Says:

cook is cooking AB for money

  11. DaBux Says:

Obviously a pissed off Patriots fanboy is making this up.

  12. Francisco Guzman Says:

This stuff will go away. The nfl doesn’t want a scandal. They could bring up race if brown somehow gets suspended and Rodgers wasn’t.

  13. August 1976 Buc Says:

Be thankful most of you are in the US.
You could live here in the Philippines where masks are STILL mandatory, whether you have the Vax or not,it does not matter.

    Soooooooooooooooo

It seems like Rick Stroud and the times are liars.

If I had to guess ol Rick is angry about that presser that was cut short.

God sports media in this town is an absolute joke.

  15. mark2001 Says:

I’m saying, you lie about such things, you have no integrity, you lose your soul. And if you tell me it is rampant, who cares how the season ends up? It is all corrupt anyway.

McGuire…Sosa…Rose… In the fan world today, their acts would have been applauded… it isn’t about how you play the game..it is about winning. That isn’t sportsmanship.. it is about who excels in corruption.

And if you don’t get that Guzman, I feel badly for you.

  16. Francisco Guzman Says:

Mark2001 Rodgers lied and didn’t see no suspension.

  17. Francisco Guzman Says:

@mark2001 rodgers had no integrity and he still playing. Again brown’s agent has come out and said that brown is vaccinated.

  18. mark2001 Says:

This isn’t about whether you get vaccinated or not. Just be honest about it. It is about if you are or aren’t lying…cheating on the league…cheating on your teammates…cheating on the fans…and most of all, cheating on yourself.

And if the story is all BS.. no need to worry about the penalties enumerated in this article.

  19. mark2001 Says:

And Guzman… just because he is playing and was fined so little means the league has a problem, as well as Rodgers.

  20. Medicated Pete Says:

This is a hit job on AB

  21. ClodHopper Says:

If the feds are going after anyone it’s the people that don’t follow The Party’s desired thoughts and actions. He should worry if the story is true.

  22. mark2001 Says:

To me the way the league handled the Rodgers deal is a dark day for the league. At some point, between things like this and S. Payton’s acknowledgment that officiating has been horrible this year, it just becomes what we used to call in southern ill drawl… Texas Wreslin.

  23. Rod Munch Says:

    I’m scared, hold me…

  24. JimmyJack Says:

I am on Browns side for this and I hope the orginization is too. The thought of a federal investigation into Brown doesnt seem plausible.

  25. Crickett Baker Says:

Rodgers did not lie. He said he was immunized–never did he say “vaccinated”. Since he was allergic to ingredients in the vaccine, he had a doctor immunize him in another way. He told the team and even petitioned the NFL to consider him to be vaccinated since he was immunized but did not take the big pharma named vaccines. He was denied, but he never lied. The media just wanted people to think he did.

  26. stroud is a hack Says:

mark2001 AR never lied to the league. His sin was that he deceived the media. The Packers/NFL and his teammates knew he didn’t take the jab.

  27. mark2001 Says:

So Clod,.. it should all be about what you think about the rules and the laws, and not about integrity? The “party” is the government of “we the people” collectively in this case, isn’t it?

Throwing our rules we personally don’t like? Like obeying the job rules? Paying our taxes? Obeying the law? Not cheating on your wife? Your wife cheating on you? Killing someone you think is doing you wrong? Being investigated for breaking the rules?

You either have integrity and try to play by the rules or you don’t. If not, you are admitting you have no integrity and only obey the rules you think are “fair” to you. I don’t like many rules,… but I don’t just write off the ones I don’t like. Following them is called being a member of society…it our case American society… and in AB’s case, the NFL as well.

  28. mark2001 Says:

Cricket…the first rule out of Rodgers mouth when asked by the reporter if he had been vaccinated was YES. Watch the interview…then he continued on with the immunization story. If he had said, NO, but I’m immunized, he would have been a man of honor. He intentionally was deceptive…and admitted that much.

  29. mark2001 Says:

    first words….

  30. mark2001 Says:

Intentionally deceptive…the old white lie… lie by omission… same bark on the old tree….some things never change…all soft soaping the word “lie”.

  31. Rod Munch Says:

Mark would have been on of the guards at trial saying “just following orders” – you can be guaranteed of that.

Anywho, one of the great American traits is telling author to ‘shove it’ — that’s what being an American is all about. Meanwhile Mark is the guy driving 55 in the fast lane on the interstate with a 2-mile back-up behind him saying, “just following orders”…

You should look into Cuba, it’s a lovely country just to the south of Florida, you get tons of sun and fun and all the orders you can handle!

  32. Captain Dan Lawrence Says:

Let’s go! We will be fine, let’s beat the Giants!

  33. Francisco Guzman Says:

Crickett Baker are you kidding me?!!! Rodgers came off as a slick a-hole. Trying to be slick misleading the nfl. He should have been suspended but he wasn’t. Brown is unlikely to get suspended because rodgers mislead the nfl.

  34. Francisco Guzman Says:

Mark2001 he wasn’t vaccinated though. What you talking about?! He lied he was misleading. Are you that dumb?

  35. mark2001 Says:

No Rod… I was the guy that served my country and not that guy that called every vet basically serving since WWII a loser because we didn’t win.. while failing to have the guts to serve himself.

And note Rod… I didn’t say you shouldn’t say “shove it” some times…. but the great leaders of our history, and world history, have said object, stand for what you believe, pay the price for your belief, sometimes even be jailed for your beliefs,… but stand up for the truth. And pay the price. Seems people almost in mass, want to weasel and avoid paying the price now days.

  36. Francisco Guzman Says:

Mark2001 you need to get out of here with this BS! Right now it’s all accusations and what Rodgers did was asinine. He put people at risks.

  37. mark2001 Says:

And Guzman,…. are you that lacking in integrity to understand what took place? Did you see the interview,…even he said he was misleading… because he didn’t want to use the word lie.

  38. Francisco Guzman Says:

Mark2001 can you comprehend? Dude came off as a smug. Entitled. He wasn’t vaccinated. Are you that naive or just slow?

  39. mark2001 Says:

Guz… I simply said if his card was valid, no problem…and the penalties listed in this article are irrelevant. And if it was a forgery, he should pay the price because it is a question of integrity. And if that hurts the Bucs, so be it.

  40. mark2001 Says:

We all know AR wasn’t Vaccinated. Is English your third language, dude?

  41. Francisco Guzman Says:

Mark2001 he’s not getting suspended because it’s not any worth than what Rodgers did. People will make it about color or the nfl favors some
Players. He will get a fine of it’s true. That’s all.

  42. Francisco Guzman Says:

@Mark2001 then stop being a clown and trying to make Rodgers look like a saint. He’s a douche.

  43. mark2001 Says:

Read what I said about Rodgers again, Francisco…I called him a liar. The first word out of his mouth when asked about being vaccinated was “YES”. And he is a prima donna as well. But I don’t think the later isn’t relative to this discussion. Cricket was defending him.

  44. mark2001 Says:

And that “yes” was a lie. All the rest of what he said about immunization and other players was what we would call “dancing around the issue”.

  45. Francisco Guzman Says:

Mark2001 let’s wait till the facts come out. I don’t see a suspension because of how Rodgers was treated. More like a fine. The nfl doesn’t wanna open a can of worms here.

  46. SB Says:

Here is Mark 2001 again proving that he should have his nuts clipped so that he can’t breed.

    ………………..

    Outlandish????? Are you flippin serious?
You get fired if you don’t take a drug that hasn’t had long term testing. You can’t go to restaurants in big cities without a VCard. You can’t go to football games without it in many states. How in TF is it not like
    “Comrade………Papers please!
I mean are you freakin’ kidding me. Myopia is a bad thing bud.

  48. Rod Munch Says:

Employers and businesses asking to ‘see your papers’ is literally against the law in Florida, they can not require you to show a vaccine passport. So the fact Brown would even be asked to show one should be illegal.

That’s why we have laws, for people to follow them, anyone who doesn’t follow the law should be severely punished.

    Wait… I heard this before somewhere…

  49. Rod Munch Says:

BTW Rodgers is a California hippie, he’s not some right-wing guy. If you dopes read statistics instead of getting your news from Comedy Central, you’d know that the biggest group of individuals against vaccines dirty hippies from the west coast. Rodgers is a greasy haired hippie from the west coast. While I personally hate hippies, I will give Rodgers credit for at least staying true to his roots, even if he smells like week old raw chicken left outside in a trash can.

  50. Bucdan Says:

I just pointed out how you cannot currently get educated in the United States without vaccination paperwork.

There’s a difference between saying you’re vaccinated when you’re not a buying a fake document saying you are. It’s like just saying you’re 21 and buying a fake ID.

  52. Swampbuc Says:

    #It’s a Bucs’ Life!!!!!!!!!!!!

  53. Rod Munch Says:

Vaccine adoption rates are generally measured by the decade, not by the month. There’s always going to be groups of people who don’t want to take something until it’s proven safe AND effective over a long period of time. Also, it’s a hard sell for those same people to be told they MUST take something now over a virus that has a 99.98% rate of survival if you’re not over 60 and not a fatso.

Again, I have nothing against the vaccine, those in high risk groups, meaning over 60 or under 60 but a fat slob, and anyone in poor health, they SHOULD (not MUST, but SHOULD) take the vaccine. For those between 40-60, they SHOULD (not MUST) consider it if they haven’t had COVID, because it can reduce the chances they get severely will. For those under 40, it’s pretty questionable, if they’re in good health, that they should take it, there doesn’t seem to be a big downside, but also the chances of getting severely sick or dying is extremely low.

The one area where I’m absolutely against the vaccine is in children, this virus does not affect them, in children its less severe than the flu (that is direct from the CDC), there is absolutely no reason to get children and teens vaccinated, there is no scientific evidence to support it.

Integrity? Honor? Accepting the truth and rejecting the obvious lies?
Someone here has truly earned the moniker “brown eyed” relating to just how full of it that he is!
    Congratulations Mark!
From this day on you shall be known as brown eyed Mark.

  55. ClodHopper Says:

    Mark

Don’t think I just forgot about you lying about looking up the word Karen. You can take your pseudo-integrity and stick it. You’re not the pure one.

  56. Lesko_Brandon Says:

What is this an extortion…. gimme a break…. stop harrassing my NFL fantasy guy , AB.

  57. gp Says:

Honesty, integrity, and honor are words that are easily thrown about by someone who has none of them.
Those who respect and strive to live by those ideals don’t use those words to try to demean others. For them, those words and the ideals they represent are sacrosanct.

  58. PassingThru Says:

Rodgers lied, but he didn’t forge a federal document.

That being said, let’s wait for the facts. It is possible that AB picked up a blank V-Card and forged it. And it’s possible that AB got vaccinated, with or without ever having to use a falsified V-Card.

  59. Irishmist Says:

What would the Buccaneers be without a true outlaw on the team?

  60. Jerry Says:

The Bucs and the NFL cannot verify the status and neither can the feds. Florida law isn’t going to allow anyone to look at the state’s database. And you can certain the governor will fight any attempt to do so. So the feds would have to prove it’s fake a different way….like get proof of him buying the fake card. Get the person he bought it from to talk.. etc…

  61. Izod Says:

It’s almost as funny as it is sad to see so many people chiming in on the question of whether getting vaccinated is a good thing–that is clearly a secondary issue (and by the way, if you think it is stupid to get vaccinated you are hopelessly ignorant).

Faking documentation is a crime. If he did it, he’s guilty. Doesn’t matter if it’s forging a vax card or driver’s license or whatever else, a crime is a crime, differing only in severity. AB has a SMALL history of doing stupid things, and it seems now even Mr. Brady can’t fix stupid.

  62. RCH Says:

These are the same people who labeled parents domestic terrorist

Employers and businesses asking to ‘see your papers’ is literally against the law in Florida

However, a collectively bargained labor agreement trumps both federal and state law. See the breakdown on Maurice Clarett vs. the NFL.

The protocols the NFL enforces were collectively bargained with the NFLPA. Neither Gov. Ron nor Greasy Gavin have jurisdiction in their respective states, for example.

  70. Rod Munch Says:

Thanks for the note Joe. I was looking for something like that, but only briefly and didn’t see it.

Doesn’t, however, Florida being a right to work state always undercut those collective bargaining disasters? What I thought was happening, and I was speculating which is why I didn’t post it, was that because there is a testing option, that got around the vaccine mandate.

  71. Ben green Says:

I thought all you jokers told Ben your whole team was vaccinated. Continue to believe everything you read, including the vaccination status of your quarterback. This is the NFL, a business. They can mandate whatever they want, within reason of course. It’s has nothing to do with the politics surrounding the vaccine. I bet Brady and Alex have a printing press for fake cards. After all, he did say he had a pill that cured cancer. If that isn’t wacky nuff for y’all, they also drink concussion water. Does that sound like people who would actually take an already politicized and government backed vaccine? Ben just asks y’all to use basic extrapolation….

I am so sick of hearing about COVID and the Vax or better said the COVID symptom attenuation shots. It will be like the flu and we are just going to have to live with it from here on out.

    —————-

You are correct it becoming like the flu, that was the outcome of the Spanish flu — the flu we have today is part of the Spanish flu in it. These viruses entire point of existing is to replicate itself, not to kill its host. So these viruses, normally, become more contagious and less deadly over time. Normally by the time you’re hitting a 4th wave, the number of deaths have plummeted, in part because the virus is less deadly, and in part because people’s immune systems have built up defenses.

With the Spanish flu, the big thing was that it killed much younger people, mostly people in the their 20s. For all the current complaining, if 27-year olds were dropping dead from COVID, there wouldn’t be a hesitation to get vaccinated. Instead, with COVID, the average age of death from COVID was 76, while the average age of death overall was 77, and COVID has an overall survival rate of 99%, and that goes literally to 99.9% if you’re under 40.

  73. Rod Munch Says:

Hey Ben, mind your own business.

  74. Ben green Says:

Weren’t you the guy touting the vaccination status of your team? BTW I essentially agree with your comments on the virus. I just have one question, do you think Tommy got the shot?

  76. Ben green Says:

    Moderated

  77. Ben green Says:

    What a bunch of losers

  78. Rod Munch Says:

Ben – If you’re talking to me, I never talked about the team being fully vaccinated, all I said about the vaccine in terms of the team is that they should have had a Chickenpox style party at the beginning of the year, everyone gets COVID, and then they don’t have to worry about it for the season.

While I have nothing against the vaccine, there is absolutely zero reason for players to get the vaccine if they don’t want it, and certainly they don’t need it if they have already gotten a confirmed case of COVID.

As for Brady, with the insane amount of money he spends on his body, why should he inject himself with something that doesn’t have a long proven history? The guy is in perfect health, spends over a million dollars a year just on his body, knows down to the small amount what exactly is in everything he eats, drink, etc — that guy we’re saying, here, inject yourself with this unproven drug for a virus that he’s already got the antibodies for (he had COVID back in Feb). If Brady is smart in any way, he got the guy at Publix who told Winston he could have some free crab legs, to print him out a vaccine card.

Again, I’m not anti-vaccine, if you’re fat, have things like asthma, if you’re old, if you’re in poor health in just about any way, get the vaccine if you haven’t had COVID, you greatly reduce your chances of getting severely sick. But it’s also just a suggestion, not a commandment. A huge part of the reason people don’t get the vaccine is because they’re being ordered to take it, and the most American trait of all is telling people where they can shove their orders.
